Clemens was born in 1835. He grew up in Hannibal,
a small town on the Mississippi, USA. He couldn´t go to school for
very long and had to leave because his
father died when he was
eleven .

he disliked this job he worked as a printer for about ten years.
2 When he was 21 years old, he decided to start
working on a
riverboat on the Mississhippi.
