Nothing can be done to prevent crime

So, i agree with that statement. However, in my opinion our goverment has been doing some progress regarding crime prevention and social development. In its turn, even in a decent society no lacking primary needs there will be another kind of crimes, apparently harmless, such as: political corruption, bribery, money laundering, extortion, etc. The environment can change, but the mindset is still the same with tendency to ambition, greed and selfishness. Therefore, we prevent crimes not by kitting ourselves out in high-tech weapons or an efficient secret service, but by creating a whole environment that allows a definite change in our mind.

Visions of a Sustainable World

Future will be sustainable when citizens are concerned enough about the environment that they want to make a difference. It will happen when diverse groups from industry, environment, schools, service clubs, business, governments & the public come together and work towards a common vision of sustainability for our communities - balancing the needs of human and natural systems. My vision is of a world free of war, hatred, and greed. It is a world in balance with nature, a place where poverty and starvation have been abolished and replaced with equality for all. It is a time where we have liberated ourselves from the grip of racism and discrimination and embrace individual and cultural diversity. I see a future in which we meet the basic needs of every man, woman, and child and extend to all the opportunity to realize their hopes and dreams for a better life

"Rain man"

Rain man The movie concentrates on two brothers and their dysfunctional relationship. One brother, Raymond, is autistic and no one seems to understand what it really is that they are dealing with. The other brother, Charlie, is greedy and selfish, at least in the beginning of the movie. Somehow that changes as the film evolves. The main problem in this movie is greed. Charlie only cares about money. When he finds out that his estranged father had left his inheritance to someone else, he gets mad. That is the reason why he took Raymond from the institution where he was living. He wanted to take the money from his brother even when he realised that there was something wrong with him. At least he came to his senses in the end. The second problem revolves around Raymond and his disability. No one understood what he was going through

Bernie is forced to hide under the bed and witnesses a daterape. He then onward returns to his book store where a guy buys a book for 1300 dollars. As Bernie follows him, the man gets killed in driveby shooting and his book is taken. Then Bernie gets arrested with the accusation of the murders and theft of a safe. Ray (the officer) points out to the camera footage which shows Bernie. Then they agree to work together to sort this out. The story goes on about lust and greed. Not to mention mere bad luck or coincidence which plays an important part. In the end, Bernie gathers all of the players in one room and explains all of the murders. My opinion The book was wellwritten and interesting. I'd reccommend the book to anyone who's interesting in criminal stories. THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR LISTENING.

different ecosystems on the planet, such as deserts, rainforests and coral reefs are all part of a biologically diverse Earth. Appropriate conservation and sustainable development strategies attempt to recognize this as being integral to any approach. In some way or form, almost all cultures have recognized the importance of nature and its biological diversity for their societies and have therefore understood the need to maintain it. Yet, power, greed and politics have affected the precarious balance. Why Is Biodiversity Important? Who Cares? · Why is Biodiversity important? The Life of Dante, the Inferno of Dante

on his imaginary journey through Hell. The reality of God, the Creator's love and man's choice is evidenced throughout the Inferno. On this spiritual pilgrimage, Dante has lost his way and tries to get back on the right path to gain salvation, but many temptations are faced along the way. Dante uses allegory in his story to depict these temptations or sin. In the dark wood he encounters a leopard, lion, and a she-wolf. The leopard stands for lust, the lion for pride, and the she-wolf for greed. He takes the reader through the murky, disgusting depths of Hell using very graphic, grotesque language and imagery. The poet communicates his vision well and his truth comes alive as the reader follows his spiritual search of personal salvation. Because he is the main character, Dante speaks in the first person and interprets his experience as he views sin in all its ugliness. He knows that life is a pilgrimage of the soul on its way to God, but has lost his way

This is a great example of a social satire, reflecting one of the most major human vices greed, that leads people to commit a terrible kind of actions, just to get a profit. A considerate and thoughtful reader, who has begun to read the work, could pay his attention to the other sarcastic moment, which appears in the discrepancy of the title with its actual content. tainted by madness. Science and technology have magnified the destructive impact that the dysfunction of the human mind has upon the planet, other life-forms, and upon humans themselves. That is why the history of the twentieth century is where that dysfunction, that collective insanity, can be most clearly recognized. A further factor is that this dysfunction is actually intensifying and accelerating. The First World War broke out in 1914. Destructive and cruel wars, motivated by fear, greed, and the desire for power, had been common occurrences throughout human history, as had slavery, torture, and widespread violence inflicted for religious and ideological reasons. Humans suffered more at the hands of each other than through natural disasters. By the year 1914, however, the highly intelligent human mind had invented not only the internal combustion engine, but also bombs, machine guns, submarines, flame throwers, and poison gas. And his readers were turning elsewhere. After moving to his native New York to write freelance, his novel Gabriel Conroy (1876) and his collaboration with Mark Twain on the play Ah Sin (1878) proved unsuccessful in providing adequate income for the Harte family. He and Twain quarrelled bitterly amid rumours of his belligerence, spendthrift habits, drinking, and womanising which would haunt him for years to come. Harte had mastered the genre of gold rush fiction, capturing the corruption and greed in nostalgic prose, with vivid descriptions of the myriad characters he had known and the wild new frontier lands he had traversed. However he would never quite maintain the impetus of his first published successes. His financial stresses took a turn for the better when in 1878 he was recommended and duly appointed to the United States Consul, first in Crefeld, Germany, then Glasgow, Scotland until 1885.
