XXII Pärnu Film Festival July 6th 26th The Museum of New Art, Esplanaadi 10, Pärnu The Pärnu International Documentary and Anthropology Film Festival, founded in 1987, is the oldest film festival in Estonia. The initiator of the festival was writer and former president of the Republic of Estonia Lennart Meri. Since its first appearance, the festival has built an efficient bridge between cultural anthropologists and film makers from the East and the West. The festival is held during the first full week of every July. An international jury awards the grand prize for the best film; awards are also given to the best film about the survival of indigenous peoples and the best scientific research. My goal has been twofold: to narrate the development of the various methods of making and breaking codes and ciphers, and to tell how these methods have affected men. When I began this book, I, like other well-informed amateurs, knew about all that had been published on the history of cryptology in books on the subject. How little we really knew! Neither we nor any professionals realized that many valuable articles lurked in scholarly journals, or had induced any cryptanalysts to tell their stories for publication, or had tapped the vast treasuries of documentary material, or had tried to take a long view and ask some questions that now appear basic. The purpose of this study is to determine how 3D and BIM are changing the design, fabrication and construction of complex steel structures. The thesis is qualitative in nature, in that it tries to determine the effects of virtual design and construction based on in-depth analysis of two case studies. Data were collected during 5 interviews with people who were intimately involved in the projects. Background information was obtained from professional journals, engineering articles and conference papers. During analysis, the data were compared to propositions that emerged from the literature review to determine whether a clear pattern was present. A comparison table was created to compare the effects of virtual design and construction of the two projects. Additionally, a schedule is presented to explain the deadline slippage on one of the case studies. The schedule is accompanied with a data exchange diagram to illustrate how collaboration can affect the project deadline.
