Talent vs experience speech

“ I agree with the statement. To start with, while practising some sports and professions one needs to be talented. For instance, you can’t be a ballet dancer if you haven’t assumptions for that or you can’t be a composer if you haven’t musical hearing. If you have a talent, but you are not willing to use it and work with it you do not develop and then the talent is useless. I have a friend who has great singing voice, but she hasn’t trained it and unfortunately she’s not achieved anything in singing. I think if she had practiced singing, she could be very good and maybe even famous singer. Furthermore, Experience is something that everybody can gain and i think that experience is even more important than talent. Some jobs like a driver, police officer or firefighter need experience. Anybody isn’t born for becoming a firefighter. I believe that if

Black Beauty

describing the life of a beautiful, black horse, Black Beauty. Sewell was very concerned about animals and used the book to write about the terrible treatment of horses in England at the time. The book is written from the point of view of the horse, which helps us to understand the influence that good and bad treatment had on the horses in the story. Black Beauty spent his early years in a picturesque, green field with his mother and some other young colts. When it was time for him to be trained to serve men, he was gently and patiently broken in by his master. He learned to wear a saddle and bridle, and carry a human quietly on his back. Black Beauty learnt about the way horses can suffer because of men very early in life. He witnessed a hunting expedition in which a horse was pushed too hard and fast by an inexperienced and overconfident rider. The consequences were tragic. The rider took a fall that killed him and the fine horse broke his leg and was then shot

Thanksgiving

In the United States, the fourth Thursday in November is called Thanksgiving Day. It is usually a family day celebrated with big dinners. On this day, Americans give thanks for the blessings they have enjoyed during the year The first Thanksgiving was held in Plymouth in the 17th century. The people of Plymouth had come to America from England. In their native land they had been called Puritans, but they called themselves Pilgrims. When the Pilgrims landed in America they were poorly trained to cope with life in the wilderness. One spring morning an Indian came into the little village of Plymouth . Later, he brought The Indian chief, who gave gifts and offered assistance. The Indians taught the Pilgrims how to hunt, fish and grow food. They also taught them, how to use fish for fertilizer in growing corn, pumpkin and beans. The Pilgrims had a good harvest. Governor William Bradford issued a proclamation establishing a day of Thanksgiving to God.

From: Ray Iverson, journalist Subject: The good and bad points of the Bayside Sports Centre Date: 23 January 2015 Introduction: The idea of this report is to describe the situation at the Bayside sports center and making recommendations for improvement. Positive aspects: Firstly, there is wide range of activities available, also there are new and modern equipment in the Bayside sports center. Secondly, the sports center is opened seven days a week. Thirdly, there are working well trained instructors and sufficient staff, which is really good. Negative aspects: There are some bad aspects too in the sports center. Firstly, there are not enough exercise machines, so you have to wait for a long time to use them. Secondly, prices are high and there are no special offers. Thirdly, the staff is not very friendly and it takes a long time to get their help. Recommendations: There should be some changes. Firstly, they should buy more exercise machines

Thanksgiving is usually a family day, celebrated with big dinners. The first American Thanksgiving was held in Plymouth. The Puritans from England came to America because they were unappreciated. They were called the Pilgrims. They came to America on a ship called Mayflower. September was the worst season of the year for sea crossing. After 65 days they landed at Cape Cod. The Pilgrims suffered a great deal during their first winter, because they were poorly equipped and poorly trained. One spring morning an Indian came and introduced him in a friendly way. The Indian chief offered assistance to the pilgrims and the Indians thought the Pilgrims how to hunt, fish, and grow food. Because of this help they had a good harvest every year. Music therapy

Getter Orav Music therapy Music Therapy is the clinical and evidence-based use of music interventions to accomplish individualized goals within a therapeutic relationship by a credentialed professional who has completed an approved music therapy program. Sen. Harry Reid said that music therapy is much more complicated than playing records in nursing homes. Therapists are trained in psychology, group interaction, and the special needs of the elderly. Listening to music does wonders to alleviate stress. Listen to the music that you feel comfortable. Sitting down and forcing yourself to listen to relaxation music that you don't like may create stress, not alleviate . Music has always been a great healer. Film Review - "Shooter"

The crowd scenes with the President and the Archbishop were filmed in Independence National Historical Park in front of Liberty Hall. These were then combined with an elevated view from another building to create a fictional vista of the park. Swagger's escape was filmed in New Westminster along the Fraser River. · Sniper tactics Shooter depicts a number of sniper tactics, thanks to the guidance of former U.S. Marine scout sniper Patrick Garrity, who trained Mark Wahlberg for the film. Garrity taught Wahlberg to shoot both left and right-handed (the actor is left-handed), as he had to switch shooting posture throughout the movie, due to Swagger's sustained injuries. He was also trained to adjust a weapon's scope, judge effects of wind to a shot, do rapid bolt manipulation and develop special breathing skills. His training included extreme distance shooting (up to 1,100 meters), and the use of camouflage ghillie suits

fast you are allowed to. Also, car is much more comfortable, especially nowadays. But the biggest plus in travelling by car in my opinion, is that, when you are travelling by car you can travel long distances, but when you are walking, you can travel about 10 km and then human organism needs a rest. But there is no healthier travelling way than walking; when people are walking every day their health becomes strong and when human body is trained and strong, then it is strong against illness. On the other hand, travelling by car isn't so good and healthy as it seems. Some people don't even know that cars are one of the biggest nature and air polluters, cars are the major producers of carbon dioxide. Also cars are very expensive compared with walking, you need to buy a car and then regularly fill the car with petrol, what costs a lot of money and then there is the insurance and so on and on

The Magic of Living

Arabella had lived with her aunt and uncle since she had been orphaned at the age of five, and over the years had become accustomed to living in Hilary's shade. Hilary was the daughter of the house and as such expected and got-everything she wanted. Arabella could quite see that she could hardly expect to receive the same attention for herself. She was 22 and a trained children's nurse. It was only natural that her aunt should consider her capable of keeping an eye on the twins. In one day Arabella wanted to go to the doctor's house for tea and game of tennis, but her aunt's hints at lunch had been strong enough for her to scotch this idea. She had resigned herself to entertaining the twins. She spent time with the twins and suddenly she heard Hilary speaking with her. When Hilary called her Bella it meant that she wanted her to do something for her

makes you feel more Estonian and what an overpowering feeling of unity it gives. It has been always said that Estonians are singing natoin and young people carry this tradition on and all over the world, advertising and introducing it proudly. Furthermore, there are many young men and nowadays also women, who want to take part in time service, which is indispensable when crisis situation should brake forth, because those people are trained and prepared to fight for Estonia whenever it is necessary. They are ready to give their life for the freedom of their homeland. One the other hand, there are many young Estonians who want to go to study abroad and sometimes they stay there for the rest of their lives. They think that life is better compared to the contitions Estonia has to offer. Also, many young women are convinced that Estonian men are dolts and wusses and think that foreigners make much better husbands for them and

Staffing - Xculture

Staffing The most effective way of staffing for Daffodils Games & Publishing would probably be the combination of locals and expatriates. As the company is small and with a limited budget the chosen method must be both economical and effective. Since the entry mode chosen was exporting, the best way to maintain the low budget would be to mainly hire locals together with few expatriates. As the market of entering is a foreign country (Nigeria) there would be needed to hire locals of the new country in the sales, marketing and legal departments. The locals should be hired as sales representatives and agents as they know the culture, methods to approach the possible customers and the needs of the market of the new country. Their tasks would be the direct selling (i.e. door-to-door selling, attending fairs and trade shows) and also meeting with the potential retailers and ...

Assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria

Austria-Hungary. The country of Serbia, just south of the Austria-Hungary border also wanted the freedom of the Bosnians. Serbia was an ally with the powerful Russian Empire and Austria-Hungary was allied with Germany. When Archduke Ferdinand announced his trip to Sarajevo, Bosnian nationalists saw their opportunity to strike at the Austrian Empire. With help from the neighboring country of Serbia, assassins were recruited and trained to kill the Archduke as he traveled through the streets of Sarajevo. These assassins were members of a terrorist group called the Black Hand. On June 28, 1914 Franz Ferdinand and his wife were in the third car of a motorcade traveling through Sarajevo to the Town Hall. The Black Hand had several assassins positioned along the route. On the way to the Town Hall, the first assassination attempt occurred. A man named Nedeljko Cabrinovic threw a bomb into the car with the Archduke

Black Beauty

Black Beauty tried to follow this advice all his life. First, he went to live at Birtwick Park with Mr Gordon and his family, who treated their horses well. He became friends with two other horses, Merrylegs and Ginger. He was cared for by a groom called John Manly, who never used a whip. His wife gave him the name of Black Beauty. He learnt to carry a rider and pull a carriage. Chapters 6 – 8: The stable boy, James, got a better job with a nearby farmer so he was trained by the head groom. One day, when he drove the carriage led by Black Beauty, they nearly had an accident. Thanks to the clever horse, they avoided a broken bridge and got home later but safe. On another occasion, on a trip to Oxford they stopped for the night. A careless man smoked in the stables and caused a big fire. Black Beauty and Ginger were rescued by James but both he and Ginger were unwell after that and had to rest. Chapters 9 –11: Black Beauty saved Mrs Gordon’s life

Communication or language is a process every child learns from birth and during our life we will usually learn many different languages. Due to the fact that both of my parents are Estonians , my mother tongue is Estonian, therefore I can speak and write in it very fluently. I also prefer read the books in Estonian. I know that some people like to do it in some other languages, in English for instance. I am really amused by the Estonian literature. I like to read books and stories from Andrus Kivirähk and F.R. „Agroecological Economics“ by Paul Wojtkow

About the author Birth Date: 1947 Wojtkowski, with over 25 years of experience in many corners of the world, is uniquely qualified to deal with landscape agroecology. Having observed agriculture in six continents and over 70 countries, Dr. Wojtkowski has seen what works and what doesn't. His six previous books have affirmed the underlying motives, theories, and concepts. They have also proposed a large tally of quintessentially nature-friendly, farming practices. As a trained economist with advanced degrees in both agricultural and forest economics, he is able to take the next step; that of presenting agroecology as a fully-fledged science complete with its own economic underpinnings. And so he wrote book called ,,Agroecological Economics", which I think is his life-work. Book review Agroecology is the science of applying ecological concepts and principles to the design, development, and management of sustainable agricultural systems. Agroecological

He was sent away to boarding school, which he hated because he was homesick and because there was no privacy, and these are experiences that he draws on in The Butterfly Lion and The War of Jenkin's Ear. He didn't work especially hard at school but he was very good at games, and this helped him to keep out of trouble! When Michael left school he went into the army, which he also hated. He left as soon as he could and trained to be a teacher. Michael loved teaching, especially poetry, which he discovered through the poems of Ted Hughes. He stopped teaching to become a full-time writer when he started the farm. He writes sitting propped up on the bed, with a thin pen on lined paper which he fills as much as possible as he hates turning over and starting a new page! He hates rewriting stories and he hates making corrections. Favorites among his own books.

British Literature Character Sketch, The Cement Garden-Julie

As if losing both-father and later mother wasn’t hard enough, they couldn’t tell anyone and she had to take all the responsibility so they could avoid ending up in foster care. I can only imagine how Liisa-Maria Pihlak, 12B hard it must’ve been for a teenage girl, to start acting like an adult to due such circumstances. Julie’s father used to make fun of her ambitions of becoming a famous athlete, however she was actually pretty talented. She held a local record for sprint and often trained in school for the athletics team. Jack described Julie having a high ridge of cheekbone beneath her eyes, which gave her the deep look of some rare wild animal. In electric light her eyes were black and big. The soft line of her mouth was just broken by two front teeth and she had to pout a little to conceal her smile. Jack obviously longed to examine his older sister. Unlike Jack, Julie takes great care of her appearance, which takes considerable preparation each evening.

Motivation

have finished my high school studies, but my cookery qualification studies are still going on. These amazing years, what i have spent in a world of excellence in cookery are memorable. Probably the highlight for my studies was the opportunity what i found myself trough the Internet, during my 2 year studies. I had a rare chance to do my trainee period in well-known Jamie Oliver restaurant in London. That is Jamie´s first restaurant and also a place, where very many young students are trained to give them a better future. The period spent there is something what i would never change. Variety of cultures and thoughts, but one dream and a one team. What and inspiring place to be, to learn about food, cultures, different opinions on world, business and hospitality. Leaving from England was hard, for some reason a piece of me left there, so that was the moment i promised to myself, that i will go back to study in this multicultural environment.

Tšernobõl, Chernobyl

The Chernobyl accident in 1986 was the result of a flawed reactor design that was operated with inadequately trained personnel. The resulting steam explosion and fires released at least 5% of the radioactive reactor core into the atmosphere and downwind. Two Chernobyl plant workers died on the night of the accident, and a further 28 people died within a few weeks as a result of acute radiation poisoning. The April 1986 disaster at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant in the Ukraine was the product of a flawed Soviet reactor design coupled with serious mistakes made by the plant operators

The Domician Monastery

monastery which reveals a fascinating dimension of the city's history. The Dominican Order was founded by a Spaniard, Saint Dominic Gusman, in 1216. Up to that moment only bishops were permitted to preach, but their performance was inadequate beause of the time they had to devote to the administrstion of their dioceses. The result was that many Christians heard the Word of God rarely if at all . Dominic envisioned the creation of a body of trained theologians who would scatter throughout Europe and proclaim the gospel in the most remote areas. The nordic countries appear very early on the Dominic anagenda. To reach Tallinn the friars followed the trade route along the southern coast of the Baltic Sea, and reached Estonia some 750 years ago. The monastery in Tallinn was certainly in existence by1246.Constructed in the gothic style, it exhibits a number of Interesting

3M: AN AMERICAN STAR IN EUROPE

(even in the UK there are only six American employees), the language of the EMATs is English. Since these were the first formal means for more junior employees of different nationalities to get together, the early discussions tended to be dominated by the fluent English-speakers: the British, the Dutch and the Irish. Now the company insists that a certain level of proficiency in English is a prerequisite for joining an EMAT, and team members are being trained to learn how to accommodate different cultures. Kuigi 3M'il on väljaspool Ühendriike ainult 150 ameeriklast (isegi Ühinenud Kuningriikides on kõigest kuus ameeriklasest töötajat) on Euroopa juhtimis-tegevusüksuse keeleks inglise keel. Kuna need oli esmased võimalused koondamaks erinevatest rahvustest noorem töötajaid, domineerisid soravat inglise keelt kõnelevad britid, hollandlased ja iirlased. The Anglo Saxon church was more interested in power and authority but the Celtic church was only interested in the hearts of ordinary people. That lead to a crisis which made the Celtic church to retreat. The Saxon church gave the kings more power and the Kings helped the church to grow.
