occupants, and the multitude of conventions held within the hotel. The statement is further supported by the fact that occupancy drops with the decrease of influx of business people. The occupancy drops significantly in the July and August which is probably due to the fact that businesses generally run slower in that part of the summer (due to plague of vacations) in the northern hemisphere on latitudes with explicit seasonal changes. Therefore, the hotel must be located on the part of the globe described. The occupancy by women seems to be somewhat statistically correlated with percentage of tourists residing in the hotel. This may imply that the most business people staying in the hotel are men. The women occupancy seems to peak at three points: April, October and December. The latter is probably due to couples and families (influx of people aged under 20 is in December

Country's political and economical situation affects tourism significantly. The number of tourists can be small in the countries, where there are hurricanes, eartquakes, terrorism and diseases. 2. Jobs created by tourism are often poorly paid and seasonal. Tourism can push up local property prices and the cost of goods and services. 3. A huge amount of tourism returns are taken away from the target country. There are many reasons: quarters with a foreign heritage, travel agency, commercial expences and raw materials for the tourists. ENVIRONMENT 1. If you're working in Estonia you don't make a lot of money. But in Australia you can get a job easier, because there are a lot of farms that need seasonal workers. Farmers take young people to work very easily and some even give them living space. Salary in Australia is many times bigger than in Estonia. Finally, it leaves us with other loads corrosion, fire and loads during construction. First of all, thermal loads are sometimes called hidden or locked-in loads and caused by daily or seasonal change in air temperature. To clarify its effect, let´s assume that a steel bridge 100 m long was erected in winter at an average temperature of 2oC. On a summer day, when the air temperature reaches 32oC, the bridge lengthens, since all bodies expand when heated. The increase in length of the bridge can be computed to be only 3 cm. Animals, plants Animals The diversity of animals is modest because of several factors: the size of the land area, seasonal changes and the age of habitats on the island. Because GB has a small area, it means that the number of species that can evolve is limited because there is not enough land mass to support the diversity of animals. The environment is very young due to the Ice Age, so there has not been enough time for such diversity to develop. or shrubs. In savannas trees are small or widely spaced so that the canopy does not close. It is often believed that savannas are characterized by widely spaced, scattered trees, however in many savanna communities tree densities are higher and trees are more regularly spaced than in forest communities. The open canopy allows sufficient light to reach the ground to support an unbroken herbaceous layer consisting primarily of C4 grasses. Savannas are also characterised by seasonal water availability, with the majority of rainfall being confined to one season of the year. Savannas can be associated with several types of biomes. Savannas are frequently seen as a transitional zone, occurring between forest and desert or prairie. Although the term savanna is believed to have originally come from a Native American word describing "land which is without trees but with much grass either tall or short", by the late 1800s it was used to mean "land with both grass and trees"

INUIT). There are five main Inuit language dialects in Canada, Inuvialuktun, Inuinnaqtun, Inuttitut, Inuttitut, and Inuttut that are collectively known as Inuktitut or Inuttituut. (see NATIVE PEOPLE, LANGUAGES) In the last census 32 580 people or reported Inuktitut as their mother tongue (first language learned). Traditionally, the Inuit were hunters and gatherers who moved seasonally from one camp to another. Large regional groupings were loosely separated into smaller seasonal groups: winter camps (called "bands") of around 100 people and summer hunting groups of fewer than a dozen. Each band was roughly identified with a locale and named accordingly - eg, the Arvirtuurmiut of Boothia Peninsula were called "baleen whale-eating people." During roughly 4000 years of human history in the Arctic, the appearance of new people has brought continual cultural change. The ancestors of the present-day Inuit, who are culturally

Estonia topic

Introduction Estonia, officially the Republic of Estonia (Estonian: Eesti or Eesti Vabariik) is a country in the Baltic region of Northern Europe. It is bordered to the north by Finland across the Gulf of Finland, to the west by Sweden across the Baltic Sea, to the south by Latvia (343 km), and to the east by the Russian Federation (338,6 km). The territory of Estonia covers 45,227 km² and is influenced by a temperate seasonal climate. The Estonians are a Finnic people closely related to the Finns, with the Estonian language sharing many similarities to Finnish. The modern name of Estonia is thought to originate from the Roman historian Tacitus, who in his book Germania (ca. AD 98) described a people called the Aestii. Similarly, ancient Scandinavian sagas refer to a land called Eistland, close to the German term Estland for the country. Early Latin and other ancient versions of the name are Estia and Hestia

The grasses used in the mixture were hybrid- ryegrass ´Molisto´, tall fescue ´Seine´, meadow fescue ´Darimo´, reed canarygrass ´Palaton´ and smooth bromegrass ´Lincoln´. Maturity stages were accompanied by significant changes in nutritive value: increased NDF, decreased CP, DDM, ME. Especially in the first cut the quality declines rapidly when the forage biomass increases. Dynamics of quality changes depended on the speed of species' seasonal development. Botanical composition of lucerne-grass mixtures showed positive correlation between percent of lucerne and CP (r = 0,73; p < 0,05) and negative correlation between percent of lucerne and NDF (r = -0,55; p < 0,01). The harvests of the lucernes had positive protein balance values (PBV) in the rumen. The PBV was decreased close to zero in the `Karlu`/`Molisto`, `Karlu´/`Darimo` and `Karlu`/`Lincoln` mixtures of the first cut. Hybrid lu-

Väljasviibimise aktiivsus langeb või siirdub mingisse teise vormi (ei minda enam telkima, vaid suusatama). Samuti, reisides parasvöötme kliimast väga palavasse piirkonda, võime me tugevasti piirata oma välist aktiivsust, lebades lihtsalt palmi all. 4 1. SESSOONNE AFEKTIIVNE HÄIRE MIS SEE ON? Sessoonne afektiivne häire(ingl k SAD seasonal affective disorder), ehk sessoonne depressioon ehk hooajaline depressioon ehk talve-, sügis-, kevadmasendus on depressiivne seisund, mille kutsub esile päikesevalguse vähenemine ja ilmastiku olude muutumine. See varieerub koos aastaajaga.

official sport was lacrosse, a sport invented by Aboriginal peoples. In 1994 ice hockey joined lacrosse as official sports of Canada. The National Hockey League (NHL) is the world's premier professional ice hockey league. Of its thirty teams, six are Canadian: the Montreal Canadiens, Ottawa Senators, Toronto Maple Leafs, Calgary Flames, Edmonton Oilers, and Vancouver Canucks. Ice hockey is popular in Canada because its area is sufficiently cold for natural, reliable seasonal ice cover. Lacrosse is a team sport that is played by ten players (men) or twelve players (women), each of whom uses a netted stick (the crosse) in order to pass and catch a very hard rubber ball with the aim of scoring goals (each worth one point traditionally, but also two in Major League Lacrosse) by propelling the ball into the opponent's goal. The team scoring the most points after two halves, of varying length from competition to competition, and overtime if necessary, wins.

Mesophiles (growing well in the temp range of 20 ° C to 45° C) and thermopiles (can tolerate temperature above 45° C and optimum 45-60°C). Most of the soil microorganisms are mesophilic (25 to 40 °) and optimum temperature for most mesophiles is 37° C. True psychrophiles are almost absent in soil, and thermopiles though present in soil behaves like mesophiles. True thermopiles are more abundant in decaying manure and compost heaps where high temperature prevails. Seasonal changes in soil temperature affect microbial population and their activity especially in temperate regions. In winter, when temperature is low (below 50° C ), the number and activity of microorganisms falls down, and as the soils warms up in spring, they increases in number as well as activity. In general, population and activities of soil microorganisms are the highest in spring and lowest in winter season. 5
