Diet Coca - Cola versus Diet Pepsi
Coca-Cola® is a registered trademark of The Coca-Cola Company founded in 1886 . Coca –Cola markets itself as a classic drink what fits next to every meal and is suitable and enjoyable for everyone. Pepsi is Coca-Cola’s biggest competitor (registered trademark of The PepsiCo) and the Company was founded in 1903. Pepsi markets itself as a rebel – drink that is mainly for teenagers and often they refer to themselves as “a drink of the new- generation”.
Pepsi’s Latest advertisement is with Sofia Vergara advertising the new Diet Pepsi slender can. That advertisement caused a lot of arguing and media attention because many people think that Sofia Vergara is made thinner using Photoshop . That is typical Pepsi advertisement because they are using a celebrity (Sofia Vergara) and appealing more to younger people. They are using their signature colors – red & blue . Advertisement is supposed to make us think that when we think Diet Pepsi we will not gain calories and will look like the celebrity on the picture but gossip that picture is changed with Photoshop has decreased the faith in Diet Pepsi in my opinion. I think that the advertisement has gained a lot of attention but in my opinion people are focusing more on the Photoshopped Sofia than the drink itself and that is not so great.
Coca-Cola’s latest advertisement is rather different from its usual because Coca-Cola Diet version’s bottle design is made by Karl Lagerfeld. Advertisement consists of 3 bottles with different colorful bottle designs by Karl Lagerfeld. That shows that Coca-Cola wants to show its different stylish side on its new design and advertisement. Usually Coca-Cola markets itself as a drink for the whole family but this campaign is oriented to show the product as perfect drink& accessorize for every stylish woman and man. Also the great marketing of new design includes Karl Lagerfeld saying “It's exciting for me because I love the idea and as everybody knows, I drink Diet Coke and nothing else, night and day. It was pure pleasure to do a campaign with people I like and for a product I love." That makes lots of his devoted fans also considering buying it. Therefore I think that campaign gains more positive attention that Diet Pepsi’s campaign.
Overall I must say comparing the two campaigns I like Diet Coke’s best because it is different from The Company’s usual marketing style and it may lead to gaining more market share . Diet Pepsi’s advertisement is matching their usual style. Actually I think the poster is great but the gossip around the advertisement causes this advertisement to fail because people nowadays are not approving and liking the advertisements where women are made slimmer/taller/prettier.

The Coca-Cola Company has done tons of warmhearted and kind TV-commercials, in order to attract people to buy their beverage more often. Most of the commercials are shown in Christmastime and include Santa-Claus. Coca-Cola has also a lot of campaigns. For example, one campaign is where they type peoples' names on the bottles and cans. This way people buy Coke more and more, when they

First of all, advertisements on TV are called commercials and to get air time on Tv is very expencive and not every company can offord it. Secondly, TV commercials mingt be the easyest way to advertise products because for example in the radio You can not see the product, you can only hear what people are talking about it. On the other hand, nowadays the popularity of TV commercials is getting smaller because of the Internet. More and more people use Internet more than they watch TV. American and European companies especially have turned their international marketing efforts into something more than just exporting – they have adapted their branding to account for differences in consumers, demographics, and world markets. • Companies who have done this very well include Coca-Cola, who discovered that the word ‘Diet’ carries a negative connotation in Latin America and changed the name of their zero-calorie product to ‘Coke Lite’ for those countries. UPS, known in America for their brown trucks, issued a fleet of a different color after learning that their flagship brown trucks resembled Spanish hearses. WHAT IS INTERNATIONAL MARKETING? International marketing is the application of marketing principles in more than one country, by companies overseas or across national borders. International marketing

The first season are directed by Robert Young, the second by Simon Langton and the two last series are directed by Ferdinand Fairfax. The theme song is an original piece of music in the jazz/swing style written by composer Anne Dudley. Like I was saying the action discribe 1920's and 1930's and that's the reason why the jokes are more controlled than today. You can see and feel the 30's environment and how peoples are polite and wear smart clothes. B
