It is stained beyond sense. At least it has not fallen apart, yet. b) a place Lausanne is a city in Switzerland which took my breath away, literally. It is one of the most beautiful places I have seen and it is simply filled with history. I visited Lausanne in August 2012 and while it was raining in Estonia, it was scorching hot in Lausanne, about 30 degrees Celsius. Lausanne is located in the mountainous area of Switzerland and the whole city rests on hills. Walking in Lausanne in that heat was hard, hence the losing my breath part. It is also next to the Geneva Lake which is blue and clear. The most beautiful water body I have ever seen. Lausanne has one of the most amazing churches in the world as it is one of the only ones that still

Complain letter

Dear Madam or Sir I am writing to express my strong dissatisfaction with the service of your company. My complaints concern holidays on Tenerife. To start with, your travel agent assured me that I would stay in a luxurious hotel situated not far from the Golden Beach. I was also promised a spacious room with a terrace and windows overlooking the ocean. However, the hotel turned out to be small and old and it was situated close to a very busy street, furthermore, very far from the ocean. It took 40 minutes to walk to the beach. Moreover, there was a balcony instead of a terrace in my room. In addition, the staff of the hotel neglected their duties. I had to ask three times for new bed linen and when I asked for a wake-up call at 6 o'clock, I was woken up at 9 o'clock. When I complained about it, a receptionist treated me very rudely.

Letter Of Complaint

Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing to complain about the poor service I received when I traveled with your Princess Lines cruise on the 10th-13th January. I went on the Carribbean cruise and I was completely dissatisfied. Firstly, your advertisement promises large deluxe cabins but they were actually quite small. I did not have room to move around in the cabin. Also the cabin was really dirty. It seemed like it had not been cleaned for a long time. I felt very uncomfortable staying there. What is more, I had to share my bathroom with other guests, which was really unpleasant and annoying. It surprised me because your advertisement said that you have private bathrooms. Furthermore, the food in the restaurant was horrible. It was cold and tasted awfully. I had to wait for two hours for the waitress to bring me my meal

Chapter 18 Chapter 39 Chapter 59 Chapter 19 Chapter 40 Chapter 60 Chapter 20 Chapter 41 Chapter 61 Chapter 21 Chapter 42 Chapter 1 It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of a wife. However little known the feelings or views of such a man may be on his first entering a neighbourhood, this truth is so well fixed in the minds of the surrounding families, that he is considered the rightful property of some one or other of their daughters. "My dear Mr. Bennet," said his lady to him one day, "have you heard that Netherfield Park is let at last?" Mr. Bennet replied that he had not. "But it is," returned she; "for Mrs. Long has just been here, and she told me all about it." Mr. Bennet made no answer. "Do you not want to know who has taken it

Although conditions are generally good, there are one or two problems. Firstly, in large classes, there is not much desk space. Secondly, the classrooms tend to be darl, especially in the winter months. Finally, during video lessons, some of us find it difficult to see screen properly. There are number of changes that could be made in order to improve the situation. To begin with, I would strongly suggest that the number of students per class kept to below ten. In this way... To sump up, while most of us are satisfied with the conditions, I feel that above improvements would make things even better. If these suggestions were carried out... Complaint Dear Sir I am writing to complain about the holiday apartment I rented from you on 15th of August. I believe your advertisement was misleading in a number of ways. Letter of complaint

Letter of complaint Dear Sir or Madam, I am writing this letter of complaint to complain about the service you offered to me and my family, when we stayed recently at your hotel. I already completed the Feedback Form but I would like to add some more points. Firstly, when we arrived, we were told that the bungalow we had booked was not available ad we were offered instead accommodation in rooms, which we did not want. The room service was extremely slow. On first day, I had to wait a cup of coffe for one hour. Also, there was promsed a TV in the room, but it was out of order. Unfortunately, we were not satisfied with the recreational facilities either. Altough there were two tennis court, we did not get a change to play because they were booked up most of the time. In the end, our evening entertainment conisted of sitting in the bar all night as the only choice was an extremely noisy disco

Writing advertisement

18th February, 2015 Dear Ms Lake, I am writing to you regarding the advertisement in “Yes! Student magazine”. I would like to apply for the position of Activities Organiser. I am an 18-year-old student from Tallinn, Estonia. This year I am finishing the high school and I am planning to go to Ireland for my university studies. I had previous experience in organising events for children while working in “Vesiroos”, a summer camp in Estonia in July and August 2014. My duties included arranging outdoor games for children aged 7-11. I am confident that I am suitable for the job because I am good at organising different leisure activities. Furthermore, I love working with children and I have plenty of ideas what to do in a summer camp. I would like to enquire about the work in the camp. Could you let me know how many people will take part in one group

Dear Sir, My name is ... I am writing this letter following my stay at your hotel, Hotel Titanic. I stayed in room 603 from September 3rd to September 10th. I am wiriting becouse of the poor level of service and overall an unpleasant experience. When I first got to the hotel, I had to wait for 15 minutes in the reception before a young woman came, and helped us book in. Throughout my stay I was served mediocre food. The bathroom wasen't cleaned properly and the room servise was pretty bad. The room servise rearly changed my bed sheets and towels. There were 6 power-cuts wich each lasted for atleast 2 minutes. Worse still, I had an extremly noisy neighbour who was entertaining his visitors until 4 AM, two nights in a row. I even complained to the manager but that didn't impove the situation until the third day. Overall the stay wasen't worth the cost but I am not asking for a chargeback. I just hope that you

Libraries

Libraries. We know a lot of things thanks to books, but we do not know exactly when and where they originated, and what should be considered the first book in the world. Ancient document, written on parchment, papyri and vellum can hardly be qualified as books the way we understand the word today. Centuries went before paper replaced parchment and papyri. In the 15 th century Johann Gutenberg invented a mechanical process of duplicating texts, which we today call book printing. The first book was printed between 1444 and 1446, so these years can be considered as the beginning years of book printing. His most

SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY

SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY A century ago communication across any distance was dependent upon the telegraph or letters. No jets crossed the ocean, no television pictures enabled us instantly to see events in any part of the world, there were no worldwide telephone networks and no computers. It is just a short lifetime since humanity first travelled into space and discovered how fragile our planet looks. FROM FIREWORKS TO THE MOON At first glance you might think that there couldn't possibly be anything common between a 13 th century festival in China and the Apollo 11 moon landing in 1969. However, there is a link and that is that they both relied on the use of rockets. The Chinese first developed rockets by filling bamboo tubes with an explosive made from saltpetre, charcoal, and sulphur. The sealed tubes would be thrown onto fires during celebrations because it was thought that the loud explosions would protect them

A letter and an essay

Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing in the hope that you can help me with a problem regarding a camera that I have bought recently. On 24 April, I purchased a Canon digital SLR camera from a duty-free shop at Freetown Airport on my way from Freetown to Wondercity. The camera cost $599, and I paid for it by credit card. When I arrived at my hotel in Wondercity almost 24 hours later, I discovered that the box which contained the camera did not include the battery, and the space in the box for the charger was empty. I am now in Wondercity, and I am not returning to Freetown, so I need to get the missing parts here. I would be grateful if you could arrange for the parts to be sent to me. I attach a copy of the receipt for your information. I look forward to hearing from you. Yours faithfully, Introduction

Cialdini raamat

In a re- lated vein, the book might be seen as a way to demonstrate that, properly presented, what often seems like dry science can actually prove to be lively, useful, and relevant to all readers' personal lives. Comment on the Fifth Edition of Influence: Science and Practice It has been some time since Influence was last published. In the interim, some things have happened that deserve a place in this new edition. First, we now know more about the influence process than before. The study of persuasion, compli- ance, and change has advanced, and the pages that follow have been adapted to re- flect that progress. In addition to an overall update of the material, I have devoted special attention to updated coverage of popular culture and new technology, as well as to research on cross-cultural social influence-how the influence process works similarly or differently in various human cultures
