Recently, when an English troupe came to Estonia to play Oliver Twist, we were lucky enough to go see it at the Salme Centre. The play was based on the book Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens. They performed it in English, ofcourse, but what makes the play more interesting, is that it was in Old English. Thanks to the language, it took us back in time where the story takes place. It was hard to focus on the play, because of a girl who was sitting in the last row. She was laughing at all times, although the play had only a few humorous lines worth laughing. If you go to a theatre and you find the play boring, sit quietly and have some respect for other people. I really don't like plays where they cut down on the number of actors. Every actor should have only one role, so that they don't get their lines mixed and to really live into their character. Fortunately the performances were rather convincing. Also it is better to watch when the stage is decorated

Use commas to set off phrases at the end of the sentence that refer back to the beginning or middle of the sentence. Such phrases are free modifiers that can be placed anywhere in the sentence without causing confusion. (If the placement of the modifier causes confusion, then it is not "free" and must remain "bound" to the word it modifies.) Nancy waved enthusiastically at the docking ship, laughing joyously. "Where is John?" Ben wondered unhappily. "I can't go trick or treating alone!" Just then, a bush started to move! The leaves trembled. Ben was frightened,"Who's there?" Suddenly, a zombie jumped from behind the bush! The zombie shouted, "Boo! Guess who!" Ben knew who it was and said, "John, you silly thing. You scared me! Where have you been all this time?" Laughing, John said, "Sorry I'm late, but there was a problem with my costume. Let's go trick or treating. There'll be no candy left for us if we wait any longer." "That's okay," Ben said. "Let's get started." Ben suggested they go east first. Several houses looked promising that way, and Ben remembered that the folks in one particular house gave out great candy and were fun to visit. ." Their hearts still pounding a little, Ben and John walked

Day in my life I was waking up when i heard knocking at my door. I went to the door and postman was standing there. She was holding a package. Finally my package has been delivered. I greeted him and went looking for my ID card. I ran back to the postman. She was writing down my info while my little brother was trying to talk with me. He was yelling: ,,What is this?" I answered him: ,,It's a package, obviously." My brother started laughing and ran away. Postman asked for a signature and suddenly my phone started ringing. I gave her the signature and crabed the package. I ran downstairs but the caller hanged up already. I started calling back but the phone was busy. Suddenly I heard ringing again. I ran upstairs to pick up the phone but my sister was already speaking with the caller, so I went back downstairs. After my sister finished the call, she told me that the package was for my mother.

Probably my best friend is my aunt. Her name is Anna and we’ve known each other when i was 3 years old. She is 17 years old and lives in Häädemeeste. Anna studies in Häädemeeste Highschool, in form 10. Anna is very pretty. She has long brown hair, blue eyes, a small nose, and a small pointed chin. She is athletic and loves sport. She is very tall and slim. She always looks good and stylish. It seems as if Anna and I are always talking or laughing about something. We have always something to talk about. She has a very nice personality and a wonderful sense of humor but she can also be bossy sometimes. Anna goes to highschool. I can always count on her to be honest and to give me the best advice. She always want to help me with everything and she wishes best for me. We like going to cinema, listen good music and do sports together. We both like travelling, swimming and partying. Sometimes during the summer, I go with her
Late Modern English (1800-Present) The main difference between Early Modern English and Late Modern English is vocabulary. Late Modern English has many more words because the Industrial Revolution and technology created a need for new words; and the English language adopted foreign words from many countries. The global english is the simple english were you now the basics but you have to use your bodylanguage to for people to understand. In the internet english they shorte the words like LOL- laughing out loud etc I think that it's better if you know one language in C1/2 because then you can communicat with people better
Class essay. Music is the Universal Language. Music is everywhere around us.. it is in the wind when it blows.. birds, who are loudly screaming now. The noise of cars.. the noise of humans, expecialli their laughing makes me a little happier everytime when I hear it. There're such beautiful voices. Sometimes we just must stand quiet in center on those voices, and catch their message. Music tells us stories wich were never known. Nowadays young people hear music on MP3. They're like in their own reality. Yes it's great to feel that, but a little bit strange, because when somebody wants to ask something at the bus stop, they can't hear anything. Thats sad
Her name is Elen and we have known each other since we were 12 years old. We met with her in school in dance class about 14 years ago. If I were to describe how she looks, I would say she is very pretty. She has short brown hair, brown almond-shaped eyes, a small nose and a small pointed chin. She is not very tall but not short either and she is quite slim. She doesn't like to dress up so I usually see her wearing jeans and a T-shirt or sweater. It seems like she and I are always talking or laughing about something. She has a very nice personality and a wonderful sense of humor but she can also get a little depressed from time to time. I can always count on her to be honest and to give me the best advice. We are interested in many of the same hobbies. We both enjoy music, playing in computer games and surf in internet. We like going to the cinema but sometimes can't agree on which movie to see. Sometimes we just walk around, trying to find a new area of the city to explore. We both
Usually my weekend goes like this : On Friday, about 2 olock I always go to home. This is the time when the bus will leave to Hiiumaa. At 5 o´clock I´m at home. After that I eat and talk a little with my parents and sister. I think that about at 8 o´clock I hang outside with my friends. We are usually just walking and talking about our weekends. Sometimes, later at that night, we go to some party. There are many people and usually we are talking, dancing and laughing. About at 03.00 I´m always at home sleeping. It´s Saturday morning, or should I say afternoon. Usually I wake around 12.00 . Then I will eat ``breakfast`` and watch TV. At Saturday I like to be at home. I just rest and chat in computer and talk with my parents. At 5 o´clock we go to my granny´s house. I love to be there. She makes so good pancakes with apple-jelly. Also her house is very homely and cosy. Sometimes we stay there for night to, but not often

look cool. Three things the motorhome had to have were sleeping accommodation, cooking facilities and a bog. We met up at Fleet to take a look at each others brilliant come ups before the challanges. As usual I came in with quite an entrance. My motorhome was by far the tallest ever built. It had three stories and looked extremely cool. After walking Hammond through my surperb motorhome I couldn't help but laughing at his. It was a hidious Land Rover which appeared from far to be covered with bricks. The ,,stone effect" was in Richards mind the Land Rover style. It literally had a bog next to the driver's seat. After having a great laugh once more over Hammonds brilliant motorhome, James May came in what appeared to be a rocketship stuck on a Lotus. We didn't want to stop for long at James's rocketship with a bog next to your head so we showed James Richards motorhome.
regular bases. TV can be educating. For example, there are countries that you haven't visited. Some shows take you right in the middle of it and you don't even have to walk. People also watch TV to find out news. It's much faster than the paper and the picture is moving. In one point of view TV can be healthy. Sometimes seeing something that has happened to you before might be funny. Watching TV relieves stress and that is good for you. Doctors say that laughing is good for your health. On the other hand violence on TV is a very debatable issue. Some people say that it is totally wrong and that it should be banned. Most people like the violence and find it to be very entertaining. Parents find it very hard to restrict their kids from watching violent television programs. The child would want to watch that program twice as much just because their parents said not to watch it
girl that had come to our class recently. I said she really looked like the Teacher really modest and straight-forward. For my unluckiness both of them were passing the hall at that time. Teacher heard my rude comment, so the whole next month I was under her picky pressure never am I now to repeat my mistake again and say something out loud without ever considering it first. However, I still just can't be mad at my teacher she's such a wonderful person! And her lovely way of laughing... Maybe I'm a teacher's pet I don't deny it, at least completely. We do have fun with her, but I guess I am a bit more excited than the others about her reaction when I say something funny or stupid. Once she fell ill now really, my mood fell as well, for the next two weeks. I guess I'm attached to her and caring in a way, but I really hope that one day we can be really good friends. I just hope that the day will come
In the 1480s Leonardo received two very important commissions, and commenced another work which was also of ground-breaking importance in terms of composition. Unfortunately two of the three were never finished and the third took so long that it was subject to lengthy negotiations over completion and payment. One of these paintings is that of. Among the works created by Leonardo in the 1500s is the small portrait known as the Mona Lisa or ''la Gioconda", the laughing one. The painting is famous, in particular, for the elusive smile on the woman's face, its mysterious quality brought about perhaps by the fact that the artist has subtly shadowed the corners of the mouth and eyes so that the exact nature of the smile cannot be determined. The shadowy quality for which the work is renowned came to be called Leonardo's Smoke. During his lifetime Leonardo was valued as an engineer. In a letter to Ludovico il Moro he
When I stepped in the shop I saw my parents. They had looked me everywhere. We went to the beach. This beach was really pretty. There was a path to walk on small cliffs. We looked the pretty sea and enjoyed walking. There was a place where our foot were in a low water. There were many rocks and I didn't see in front of me because of the things I had to carry. Suddenly my leg got stuck and I fell completely in the water. I was soaking wet but my aunt couldn't stop laughing. I was sad and offended but I thought how funny it must have been. Luckily the weather was warm and I didn't feel cold. By this time we had had enough and went into our small car. It was the best holiday I've ever had !

affirms the rule. And in Britain, you can find a lot of exceptions. The second thing which also amused me was the humiliation of other people for unjustified reasons. The scene of a transsexual lady, feeling sick and puking in the teacup was a perfect example of humiliation in nowadays just in different context. It is a real problematic topic every single country and it only gets worse. Actually it is quite sad that people are only laughing at it, ignoring the problem whether they see it or not. But as to look from the other side then it is good that even if people haven't noticed it yet, then maybe the problem comes out from making fun of it? Maybe NOW people really notice that, yes, we have a problem here. And maybe that forces people to find solutions. But that's only my imaginary. The third thing which caught my attention was the scene where a disabled lady named
anything and acted like a baby and also there was this really annoying character- DJ Ruby Rhod. It was quite unusual to combine real serious plot (destroying life) to comedy so it wasn't an usual science fiction. Compare to ohter this type of films this was actually quite enjoyable even though the plot was really predictable. The thing what was really ridiculous was these silly costumes. Usually the aliens should look scary, but in this film you just can't stop laughing at them and this blue singing diva? Theres no way you can take her seriously. The only scary thing was maybe the voice of the ultimate evil character. But besides funny moments there is also some action going. To sum up I would say that it's that kind of film where you don't have to follow the plot too much. It's not a scary or very serious movie, rather amusing after a long day. Also it's nice to have this DVD in your collection because it's just that type of film to whatch with

all your mistakes on the spot. She quickly figures out your mainstream style, disturbing way of pushing back your hair every one in a while and the lack of personality you have. And she most certainly makes sure to share her views with her friend in a loud enough voice so that you ought to be deaf not to hear it. Indeed, Lily loves attention. You could recognise her laugh from a mile away because she laughes oh so loudly. You simply can't help yourself but to start laughing with her, but actually laugh at her laugh. At least it's good to know that Lila doesn't mind. Or if she does she hides it well enough because from an outsiders view point it seems that Lila simply doesn't care what others think of her. If she feels threatened she uses the help of a good old friend called sarcasm. Always handy and helps you get rid of annoying people and their stupid questions. And last but not least, something essential to Lily is hating everything mainstream. There are
But instead NASA has become a bit of a joke to the public and space exploration the stuff of B- grade horror movies. The question we have to ask ourselves is this, do sports stars really deserve to be paid five times the salary of a scientist? A scientist who is working for the benefit of humankind and, perhaps, in the interest of extending the longevity of our stay in this universe? I am of the opinion that it is beyond a joke, it is no longer a laughing matter that those who exercise their brains instead of their bodies are so undervalued. Over the years I have gradually begun to view sport in a way that is slightly off kilter to the way I had viewed it as a youth. The arrogance of former sporting superstars is one thing and the godlike status they attain in the eyes of the populace is another. Where will these sports stars be in the event that we have to leave this planet because of the downward spiral of pollution
She didn´t showed her feelings and at first she didn´t even cry. To my mind it was very weird. I was quite disappointed because there wasn´t showed Diana´s accident. And what about music? I think there should be more music and sound effects. The actor who I liked the most was the one who played the prime minister, Tony Blair. I was impressed by his ability to change quickly his moods. At the one moment he was serious and the few minutes later he was joking and laughing. I didn´t liked Helen Mirren, who played the Queen. I think she was a little bit fake and I didn´t believe all the words what she said. Also I didn't liked that she was callous and apathetic. But when she had to play her role like that, she played it well. For me the film wasn´t exactly what I expected. Some scenes were boring and I couldn´t watch them without yawning. I couldn´t see any spectacular visual effects or any breathtaking moments
catches little children as they are about to fall off of a cliff when playing on a rice field on the edge of a cliff. Next day Holden calls his former English teacher, Mr. Antolini, who tells Holden he can come to his apartment. The teacher asks Holden what does he want from his life and tries to give good advice to the boy. In the evening Holden returns to see Phoebe and takes her to a amusing park. Watching his sister riding on a carousel laughing brings out Holdens tears, and almost causes him a nervous breakdown. The story ends with Holden talking to a psychiatrist, who tries to ,,open him up". Although, critics have chewed on it for a long time, it was an interesting book, writen in a colloquial style, which really fits for younger people to read. Thatswhy I would reccomend ,,The Catcher in the Rye" to people my age. Andreas Kahk

Summary: It's Bella's second day at her new school and while it is a better day in some ways, in others it is much worse. Mike continues to be very friendly, much to Eric's displeasure, which Bella finds flattering, however, she is not interested in Mike and realises she will have to do something about his over-friendly behaviour. Bella is also feeling more confident because she recognises more faces and people are looking at her less than the day before something that, for Bella, is very important. Her day gets worse when she gives the wrong answer in Trig and has to play Volley-ball ending up hitting her team mate on the head with the ball giving us further proof of her clumsy nature. However, the worst part of this second day is that Edward Cullen is not in school and for some reason Bella can't stop thinking about him and his behaviour of the previous day. She feels nervous and uncomfortable, waiting to see if he is in schoo...
