Formal letter Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing in order to complain about a situation which happened on 26th of September, when I was dining at the Babyback Ribs &Bbq restaurant. To start from the beginning, at first when we entered the restaurant there was no-one to serve us. Then, when we had waited for a long time a young girl came to us and asked us if we had a table booked, we answered that we did not and so we were given the menus and lead to available seatings. When we had decided what to have there was once again no-one to serve us and when the waitress finally showed up she could not answer our questions about the specifics of the menu. Finally we came to a conclusion that I would take the french fries, but without jalapeno, which I especially accentuated. After 15 minutes of more waiting the dishes arrived, but there was still jalapeno in my food. I was really disappointed and took the dish...

A Palestinian bulldozer driver rammed a police car in Jerusalem, injuring two police officers, and then hit a bus before he was shot, officials said today. Israeli police said they regarded the incident as a terrorist attack. The driver of the bulldozer was shot several times and taken by ambulance to hospital with severe injuries. There were conflicting reports about whether he had been killed. The two policemen suffered slight injuries. Uzi Mahatabi, 32, a taxi driver who witnessed the incident said: "When I saw the bulldozer throw the squad car up and down in the air with an officer inside, I realised it was a terror attack." Mahatabi said he got out of his cab, and fired two or three bullets, hitting the attacker in the stomach after police had already shot the man. The incident appears similar to at least two other attacks in Jerusalem last year in which bulldozers were used against cars and buses.

If an incident would happen to the spacecraft, lots of debris would be scattered in our atmosphere. Nuclear weaponry is also a source of the radioactive waste. It causes a lot of radioactive waste. The nuclear bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki resulted in casualties of a staggering 246,000 people.Radiation sickness killed thousands more. Interesting fact:One the main components of a nuclear bomb, the plutonium-239 decomposes in some 44,000 years. An awful lot of time isn`t it?

1. Marie-Antoinette 2. She was born in Vienna, Austria, in 1755 She was the 15th child of Holy Roman Empress Maria Theresa and Emperor Francis I. Marie Antoinette married the future French king Louis XVI when she was just 15 years old. The young couple soon came to symbolize all of the excesses of the reviled French monarchy, and Marie Antoinette herself became the target of a great deal of vicious gossip. 3. She was hated for many things like: beauty, spending money, The Diamond Necklace incident People called her "L'Autrichienne" She was hated for her beauty and because of her eccentric personality, also because she was born in Austria. French people started to call her "L'Autrichienne" (which literally means the Austrian (woman), but also suggests the French word "chienne", meaning bitch) Also France financial crisis was blamed on her lavish spending. It is known that she lived golden life: she bought tons of clothes, diamonds and of course she gambled.

Sending an sms is quite quickly and easy way to say something important. Finally, mobile phones are the tools of some people, like a businessmen´s. On the other hand, they can cought a lot of damage. Todays, it is very popular to take an sms loan. Many criminals use it for against us and steal our money very simply. Secondly, big bills are not the sound of our parent`s ears. Finally, the mobile phones can be used of cold steels. For example Russel Crow`s incident couple of years ago. In conclusion , mobile phones has the potential to provide a better and quality life for everyone. Although, they are mentioned for calling, they can be used as a weapon and a great chance to steel money from somebody.
place where Evanscence was founded. It was Pulaski Academy that she graduated from in 2000. "Eternity of the Remorse" and "A Single Tear" were the first songs she remembers writing. The man she founded Evanescence with was Ben Moody, whom she met at a youth camp. Within a month, the pair was playing acoustic sets at Arkansas book stores and coffee houses. After recording several EPs, it was October 22nd 2003, when Ben Moody Left the band citing "creative differences." After that incident, "Anywhere but Home" and "The Open Door" were the records that Amy made with the band. Both albums have become very popular and sold millions of copies all over the world. What I admire about Amy Lee is her incredibly beautiful style, marked by her occasional use of Gothic make-up and taste for Victorian-styled clothing. The fact that she often designs and sews her own dresses is what made me have even more respect for her. What many fans

Shakur was initially a roadie and backup dancer for the alternative hip hop group Digital Underground.Shakur's debut album, 2Pacalypse Now, gained critical recognition and backlash for its controversial lyrics. Shakur became the target of lawsuits and experienced other legal problems. Later, he was shot five times and robbed in the lobby of a recording studio in New York City. Following the event, Shakur grew suspicious that other figures in the rap industry had prior knowledge of the incident and did not warn him; the controversy helped spark the East Coast-West Coast hip hop rivalry. After serving eleven months of his sentence for sexual abuse, Shakur was released from prison on an appeal financed by Marion "Suge" Knight, the CEO of Death Row Records. In exchange for Suge's assistance, Shakur agreed to release three albums under the Death Row label. On September 7, 1996, Shakur was shot four times in a drive-by shooting in Las Vegas, and

It narrates a story of a private detective J.J.Gittes, who investigates the murder of head of the city's water and power board Mulwray with help from his wife Evelyn Mulwray. From the beggining, the movie develops an interesting and enthralling plot, which is enriched with sarcastic humour and complex human relations. The plot is very unpredictable so when the final result appears, it is very unexpected and well-hidden.3 Each incident pulls the audience deeper into the story and makes them to think and wonder but when the conclusion reveals, everything is logical and simple. This shows the wonderful work of the director. The different leves are combined very smoothly but it doesn't get boring, because of it's enthrilling action scenes, rudeness and drama.4 About the cast Jack Nicholson seems to be the perfect actor choice for the leading role. He has that charm and intelligence to perfectly carry out the role of Gittes

Boston Tea Party Henry Lemendik 8b About The Boston Tea Party was an act of direct action protest by the American colonists against the British Government in which they destroyed many crates of tea belonging to the British East India Company and dumped it into the Boston Harbor. The incident, which took place on December 16, 1773, was a key event in the growth of the American Revolution and remains an iconic event of American history. Background Europeans developed a taste for tea in the 17th century. When tea became popular in the British colonies in North America, Parliament sought to eliminate foreign competition by passing an act in 1721 that required colonists to import their tea only from Great Britain and the East India Company

poor farmer who had a reputation as a "slave-breaker," where Douglass was whipped regularly. 3 Sixteen-year-old Frederick was indeed nearly broken psychologically by his ordeal under Covey, but finally rebelled against the beatings and fought back. Covey lost out on a confrontation with Frederick and never tried to beat him again. This incident was kept under wraps possibly because Covey was afraid the news of Frederick's victory would ruin his reputation as a "slave breaker" or he was simply ashamed of his defeat. In 1837, Douglass met Anna Murray, a free African-American, in Baltimore while he was still held in slavery. They were married soon after he obtained his freedom; Douglass escaped slavery on September 3, 1838, boarding a train to Havre de Grace, Maryland

Rising". His family's economic and personal struggles during the Great Depression inspired many of his songs, especially those about other people facing similar difficulties. Cash was very close to his older brother, Jack. In May 1944, Jack was pulled into a whirling head saw in the mill where he worked and was almost cut in two. He suffered for over a week before he died on May 20, 1944, at age 15. Cash often spoke of the horrible guilt he felt over this incident. Cash's early memories were dominated by gospel music and radio. Taught by his mother and a childhood friend, Cash began playing guitar and writing songs as a young boy. In high school he sang on a local radio station; decades later he released an album of traditional gospel songs, called My Mother's Hymn Book. He was also significantly influenced by traditional Irish music that he heard performed weekly by Dennis Day on the Jack Benny radio program.
especially risky stunts, as well as showing their 'skull and crutches logo' at the bottom right of the screen to symbolize the stunt performed as risky. Nevertheless, the program has been blamed for a number of deaths and injuries involving teens and children recreating the stunts. On January 29, 2001, U.S. Senator Joseph Lieberman publicly condemned MTV and Jackass in connection with a dangerous stunt that led to a copycat incident in which a 13-year-old Connecticut teenager was left in critical condition with severe burns. Lieberman followed up with a February 7, 2001 letter to MTV's parent company Viacom urging the company to take greater responsibility for its programming and do more to help parents protect their children. MTV responded to the criticism by canceling all airings of Jackass before 10:00 PM, but Lieberman's continual campaign against the show led to MTV refusing to air
Andy had created(I have no idea what it means, but it was written in the book). Differences between movie and book: · The men's lengthy discussion about institutionalization was not in the novel. However, Red does mention a bit about this topic at one point. · The scene where the guard beats the new 'fish' so badly that he dies after being left in the infirmary over night never happened in the novel. · The 'record playing' incident never happened in the novel. · Jake was not a crow but a pigeon in the novel. What becomes of the bird after Brooks sets him free is uncertain in the movie, but in the book, he is found dead in the courtyard shortly after his release. · Red and his friends did not give a sack of rocks as a present to Andy in the novel. · Red was paroled after only thirty-eight years instead of forty.
Edward assures her she will be stronger than both he and Emmett. Edward brings Bella to the La Push boundary line the next day and his mood darkens as they see Jacob waiting in his car. Edward has apparently heard Jacob's thoughts but doesn't share them with Bella knowing Jacob will tell her. Jacob honks the horn impatiently, irritating Edward. Bella walks to Jacob's car and when she turns to wave at Edward, she thinks he looks truly upset. She surmises that he must be angry over the honking incident, but in reality it's Jacob's thoughts that have upset him. When Bella gets in Jacob's car she notices how tired he is and suggests they go back to his house to hang out. Jacob explains his sleepiness: he has been doing double shifts on his nightly patrols because of the threat to her. Bella chides him, but he dismisses her concerns. The discussion turns to Bella's graduation and Jacob is obviously thinking about the significance of that date for her impending change

Also the children who are born from parents exposed to high radiation levels may be in threat of deformities Thyroid cancer is usually not fatal if diagnosed and treated early. Apart from the cancer, there is said to be no evidence of a major public health impact 14 years after the accident. There is little evidence of any increase in leukaemia, even among clean-up workers where it might be most expected. However many of those who survived the explosion

Juliet, and because they are from enemy families. Juliet sends the nurse to find Romeo. Accompanied by one Peter, who carries her fan, the nurse exchanges some spicy insults with the bawdy Mercutio. With the help of Juliet's Nurse and the Franciscan Friar Lawrence, the two are married that day. The Friar performs the ceremony, hoping to bring the two families to peace with each other through their mutual union. Events take the darker turn after that. Tybalt, still smarting from the incident at the Capulets' ball, had previously sent a letter to the Montagues challenging Romeo to a duel. Meeting Romeo by happenstance, he attempts to provoke a fight. Romeo refuses to fight Tybalt because they are now kinsmen -- although Tybalt doesn't know it, as he doesn't yet know that Romeo has married Juliet. Mercutio, who is also unaware of the marriage, is angered by Tybalt's insolence and Romeo's seeming indifference and takes up the challenges himself
Strong family connections and a musically enthusiastic employer failed to prevent tension between the young organist and the authorities after several years in the post. He was apparently dissatisfied with the standard of singers in the choir; more seriously, there was his unauthorised absence from Arnstadt for several months in 170506, when he visited the great master Dieterich Buxtehude and his Abendmusik in the northern city of Lübeck. This well-known incident in Bach's life involved his walking some 400 kilometres (250 mi) each way to spend time with the man he probably regarded as the father figure of German organists. The trip reinforced Buxtehude's style as a foundation for Bach's earlier works, and that he overstayed his planned visit by several months suggests that his time with the old man was of great value to his art. According to legend, both Bach and George

Her main activity during the days was riding her bicycle all around the town. She was already lacking confidence and the discovering of the maid's body was just the last drop. Nobody wanted her except for Jerry and Joanna, who housed her for couple of days after the incident. Finally, she went along with Jerry to London, which was a life-changing experience for her and for Jerry as well. Unfortunately, Megan was still too naive to understand what love is, how could she, when she had her parent's marriage as a role model. But she wasn't too naive nor afraid to go along with Miss Marple's plan to reveal Mr Symmington's true identity. Joanna Burton:
Kati-Liis Karu 03.01.2011 The leader of Criminal Police Bureau, Lenno Reimand, has brought attention to this very serious problem in his article - the counterfeiting of euros. "The euro offers new opportunities in criminal activity, which have not existed before," he says. By that he means the fact that euro is unknown for Estonians in cash and for criminals it's quite likely to act on this field. On the 2nd of January I saw one counterfeiting incident myself while shopping. In the cashier's office next to the one I was in, a man paid his bill with a 5 banknote. It was a fake one and the cashier immediately called the police and the shop manager. I saw he was really confused and heard he got the fake banknote from Statoil in Tallinn. I don't know how this story ended, but one thing I know for sure - the banknote got taken away from him. The sources I used were all from the Internet. I couldn't use any books to
scene of the Italian army's retreat remains one of the most profound evocations of war in American literature. As the neat columns of men begin to crumble, so too do the soldiers' nerves, minds, and capacity for rational thought and moral judgment. Henry's shooting of the engineer for refusing to help free the car from the mud shocks the reader for two reasons: first, the violent outburst seems at odds with Henry's coolly detached character; second, the incident occurs in a setting that robs it of its moral import --the complicity of Henry's fellow soldiers legitimizes the killing. The murder of the engineer seems justifiable because it is an inevitable by-product of the spiraling violence and disorder of the war. Nevertheless, the novel cannot be said to condemn the war; A Farewell to Arms is hardly the work of a pacifist. Instead, just as the innocent engineer's death is an inevitability of war, so is war the inevitable
