What life might be like a hundred years from now? - essee

What life might be like a hundred years from now? Life nowadays is changing very fast. We are having phones, full on different features, with last ten years, almost every family have their own computer and in some countries everyday food is changed with genetically modified food. But how our life can be changed after hundred years? In 2112, we are living in Earth. We are not using air, because after air pollution, it is dangerous for people to breathe it. We are definitely driving with aircrafts, because we ran out of fuel over 50 years ago. Because Earth is very polluted, there isn't any way to grow food. All food is made in factories from plastic and other chemical stocks, so they are not very healthy

Genetic Engineering

Genetic engineering Genetic engineering is a set of metods, directed on artificial creating of new combinations of genes that are not meeting in the nature. Nowadays genetic engineering is using much more difficult methods and hundreds business concerns around the world are engaged in receiving and testing of genetically modified plants. However, there are different meanings concerning this theme. It is known, that the population of our globe is growing steadily and because of it has appeared a problem of shortage of the food. And genetic engineering is able to solve this problems, because there are used some technologies which modify organisms genes and give them new properties, such as resistnce to some diseases, cold weather or wreckers. Also was found out that it is possible to treat oncological

who will demand high quality, nutritious food. On nowdays, we already have problem with lack of food, despite we have only 6 billion mouths to feed. So scientists had to do something. They started to develop GM food. Farmers thought, that GM food is not good enough but when they tested it, they were satisfied. GM food is more resistant to diseases, drought, and other forces of nature and it tastes good. Already, there are a lot of farmers, mostly in developing countries who are using genetically enhanced plants. However, there are still problems with productivity, because it is too low. There is also a chance that there are people who don't want to eat GM food. The EU is standing for their rights. The EU demands that enhanced products must be with special labels which must clearly notify that it is a GM product. So people have a chance to choose between natural and GM food.

GMO ehk Geneetiliselt muundatud organismid

Geneetiliselt muundatud organismid GMO-st üldiselt Geneetiliselt muundatud organismid (ingl. Genetically modified organismis) ehk GMO, on kunstlikul teel muudetud geenidega organismide (taimed, loomad jne.)

We will never know what could happen. It may not happen today or tomorrow but it can happen in next century. Essentially are GMO trees used by fruit-farmers. Here is a picture of genetically changed tree leaf. (pappel) poplar (Fruit-tree farmers are using it essentially) 7.slaid We have found law-like behaviours in ecosystems. For example when the forest is overflooded, there will be swamp. Our knowledge is getting wider every day. 8.slaid Conclusion We need to be careful before we start developing and taking risks. An adult Silver Persian from England (Lynchard Silver Shadow) was exported to Australia and also turned golden. Shadow had a few golden hairs on his paw, but did not turn golden until he was a year old when his coat turned to pale beige. By 3 years old he was entirely pale golden. Shadow was bred to a genetically golden female, but the pairing only produced silver offspring. However, at least one of his silver offspring later turned pale golden. Other descendents of Contessa also went through the late colour change. During the 1980s, several other breeders of Shaded Silver and Chinchilla Persians came forward to report that their cats had developed reddish, brownish or golden-coloured fur along their spines as they aged. Many of the cats had no golden in their ancestry

the discrimination or prejudice of a person or group based on the racial group she or they belong to. It's not that simple, however. The term racism is actually used in many ways. Some refer to racism as white supremacism, the belief that the Caucasian race is superior to all other races. Others define racism as discrimination against a particular race's culture, beliefs or traditions. Racism might refer to the idea that a single race is somehow purer than other races, or that one race genetically exhibits dominance over others. Some believe that race can be a way to determine behavior and performance. Racism in Obama's life When Barack Obama became the first man of African descent to be elected president on Nov. 4, 2008, the world largely viewed it as a boon to race relations. After all, if the country could transcend its ugly racial history to elect a biracial black man president, wasn't it a sign that the U.S. had come full circle as far as race relations were concerned?

Scientists do not agree on where First Nations people came from, or how they got to North America, but they do know that First Nations people are genetically related to people in parts of Asia. Scientists know that First Nations people have lived in what is now Canada for at least 12,000 years, because they have found bones and artifacts that go back that far. Many scientists now believe that some of the First Peoples may have been here for much longer than that. traits and the mechanics underlying behavior. However, it is now recognized that the regulation of gene expression, that is the switching on and off of genes, is not a property of the genes themselves, but is controlled by environmental signals (Nijhout, 1990). We are also now aware of the fact that organisms under stress are able to actively alter their DNA and create new genes in an effort to accommodate environmental challenges (Thaler, 1994). Rather than being genetically predetermined, organisms develop in balance with their environment and purposively select, or if necessary rewrite, what they perceive to be appropriate gene programs to ensure their survival. An article in Science entitled "A New Look at Maternal Guidance" (Pennisi, 1996) reveals that parents pass more than genes on to their offspring. People will think that because genes play a role in something, they determine everything. We see, again and again, people saying, "It's all genetic. I can't do anything about it." That's nonsense. To say that something has a genetic component does not make it unchangeable. Don't accept predisposition. You don't have to, and we can feed and train you toward a di erent physical future.6 Nearly all of my personal experiments involve improving something that should be genetically fixed. It is possible to redirect your natural-born genetic pro le. From now on, "bad genetics" can't be your go-to excuse.
