Every person should train each day Many people are training every day and the other people just watch and ask ,,Isn't that bad?". Yes, there are negative things about that, but mostly it is because you work out too hard and then the good things fade away. The biggest positive thing about training is that your body looks good. You feel more comfortable in it when you know you've worked very hard to get it. Another good thing about training every day is that you feel more energized. Usually you wake up in the morning and feel very tired, but when you go on a daily run, it wakes you up and you feel a lot better during the day. Some people think that it is bad for your health to train daily, but I disagree. Studies have shown that people who train are more healthy and they don't get ill as often as other people. There might be few negative things when you train each day, but it's usually because peopl...
Pros and Cons of Homeschooling Hello! My name is Sander and today I talk about Homeschooling. Homeschooling is becoming more popular every day, with a growth rate of 7 percent per year. There are about two million children currently learning at home. Homeschooled kids do well on standardized tests and are welcome at colleges and universities. Pros: Individual teaching attention Continuous population growth is leading to overcrowded schools in many areas. Add this to the recent economic struggles, with many schools laying off teachers or closing altogether. This means that teachers are more overwhelmed than ever, often handling classes of 40 or more children at a time. Personalized learning Another important consideration in the pros and cons of homeschooling is your ability to tailor lesson plans to your child. In traditional school environments, classmates often learn at very diffe...
Air pollution Every day, the average person inhales about 20,000 liters of air. Every time we breathe, we risk inhaling dangerous chemicals that have found their way into the air. Air pollution includes all contaminants found in the atmosphere. These dangerous substances can be either in the form of gases or particles. Air pollution can be found both outdoors and indoors. Pollutants can be trapped inside buildings, causing indoor pollution that lasts for a long time. The sources of air pollution are both natural and human-based. As one might expect, humans have been producing increasing amounts of pollution as time has progressed, and they now account for the majority of pollutants released into the air. Air pollution has been a problem throughout history. Even in Ancient Romepeople complained about smoke put into the atmosphere. The effects of air pollution are diverse and numerous. Air...

millest räägib? oma arvamus miks valisin? kokkuvõte Hello, my name is Raili and I’m talking to you about how a 2-minute walk may counter the harms of sitting. I read an article about this topic in New York Times. Everyone knows something about the risks of sitting behind a desk all day without any physical activity, or even if not, they can imagine it’s not really healthy for you. Well the researchers at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City have conducted a survey in order to find out if only by walking two minutes every hour can you reduce the risk of premature death? The answer is yes, you can lower your risk of dying by one third by only taking a two minute break every hour to go for a walk. It doesn’t have to be outside or anything, you can do it even at your office. I think, that this survey is of much help to a lot of people who have to work sitting down. It is stated, that by walking only for two minutes in every hour y...
P.E in my life P.E is very important for all of us. It keeps us healthy and physically fit. I think that every person should do some sports to stay physically fit. If you do sport, you can run about 3 km without getting exhausted. If you don't to any sport, you get tired very quickly and gain a lot of weight. I think that to stay healthy, physically fit and feel good for itself every person should do some sport every day. After you do sport, you have a good feeling and you're happy that you did that. Do whatever - run, walk, play ball games, throw a ball and you do it yourself to feel better. There are P.E lessons in every school. That is good, because some people do not work out, outside the school and so they do at least some movement. In school we have two P.E lessons a week and that isn't enough compared with the 2-4 hours a day that students spend on the internet or watching TV. In our P.E les...

Using computers for school subjects Nowadays everything is becoming computerized. Many schools let students use computers for their school subjects. I believe that it is a good thing to have such an opportunity, but I don't think they should use computers for every school subject. Firstly, it is not necessary to have computers in every class. It is normal to have computers in Information Technology classroom, where students learn to use computers for their own good. Sitting in front of a computer screen all day, every day, is bad for students' health, it can damage their eyesight. Also, it will be too expensive. It would be difficult to buy computers for every student. Setting up and updating the software will create additional costs. If schools buy too many computers, there may not be left money to pay salaries for the teachers. Will it ensure the high quality of teaching? On the...
My teacher There are many teachers in the World, but no such else have I seen as I have now. When furious, her eyes have a poisonous flame of danger in it; when glad, her silent praise is like the soft wind of pleasing sakuras. Every day we spend no matter the emotional appearance, is filled with lots of happy laughter and fun remarks no other teacher even notices about her students: my teacher is a really special, yet mysterious person. Her light eyes turn grey on rainy days, blue on sunny ones; sweet dimples decorate her blushing cheeks when she smiles; a little piped pink lips with big soft edges make her complexion sparkle every moment they say something she would be perfect if her character wasn't so ill-natured sometimes. She gets angry too easily: every word that comes to our mind must be carefully thought through before spoken out loudly. One day, for example, we were just jok...
Wealth does not bring happiness. True or false? Everybody dreams of being wealthier than they currently are. Obviously it's not only our fault that we do, we get that in media every day. Every single day we see people richer than we'll ever be on television. Some of them surely spend a lot, have fun and tell us how good life is. Others invest their money wisely and never seem to spend a dime. That sort of people are usually older than the wasters. Living in a country with almost 10% of the people unemployed, we're jealous of both. Probably almost every day we catch ourselves on a thought, "I wish I was that rich, I wish I was the man on TV." No matter how hard we try though, we won't. It's nearly impossible to win a lottery and there frankly isn't any other ways of getting rich very quickly. But how many other people would know to tell us about if wealth brings happiness or not? All the other rich people have been rich f...
Natural Disasters: Does Mankind Even Stand a Chance? Throughout time, man has fought valiantly against the forces of nature. We have successfully climbed the tallest mountains, sailed the greatest seas, and defeated the mighty dinosaurs. But we are no match for nature's greatest weapon: Natural Disasters. As far as natural disasters go, the deadly trinity of mudslides, whirlpools, and meteors is man's greatest nemesis. Mudslides strike without warning and with deadly force. Every day, across the world, unsuspecting villagers are hammered by the force of 36,000 tons of that soft wet dirt known as mud, as it cascades down mountains, rolls across plains, swoops through valleys, and takes flight over cliffs. Once the mud strikes, it leaves the villages and cities in ruins, as houses and other structures are quickly destroyed. And just as every day these villages are leveled by these disastrous attacks, the world's top scientists are...

Oliver was a pale thin child. He and other boys never had enough food or warm clothes. They were given only three meals of thin soup every day.A large pot stood at one end of hall and the soup was served by the master. Each boy had one small bowl and no more. They were always hungry, so one day they decided that one boy would ask for more soup. Oliver was chosen. One day he went to the master and asked for more soup. Then the master hit Oliver with his spoon and cried for help. Mr Bumble rushed into the room and the master told him what Oliver had said. He took Oliver away and shut him in a dark room. Then they offered 5 pounds to anybody who would take Oliver. Oliver was a prisoner and Mr Bumle hit him in front of everybody. He spent every day crying. One day Mr Bumble met Mr Sowerberry. Mr Bumble took Oliver to Mr Sowerberry'shop. Oliver did not want to go. He pomised to be good. Then they met Mrs Sowerberry. She said that Oliver was ...

Book review I am reading a book called ,,Before I go to sleep" by S.J Watson. This book has 384 pages and I have read 50 of them. The book is about Christine, who loses her memory when she goes to sleep and has to start afresh every time she wakes up. It's quite hard seeing it through her own eyes as each day she wakes up and can't figure out where she is. Everything has to be explained to her by a man who tries to persuade her that he's her husband. She begins to keep a journal, writing down what happens to her each day as recommended by her doctor who calls her each day to remind her of her journal and where it's hidden. Each day she reads what's previously written in her journal, and is extremely confused as she can never remember the previous entries. I think that in the end of the book Christine will get her memory back, and she will realize that her husbend Ben is bad guy. I hope that they will devorce and Christine will find some...

Christmas in Ireland lasts from Christmas Eve to the feast of the Epiphany on January 6, which is referred to as Little Christmas. Ireland's Christmas is more religious than a time of fun. Lighted candles are placed in windows on Christmas Eve, as a guide that Joseph and Mary might be looking for shelter. The candles are usually red in color, and decorated with sprigs of holly. Irish women bake a seed cake for each person in the house. They also make three puddings, one for each day of the Epiphany such as Christmas, New Year's Day and the Twelfth Night. After the Christmas evening meal, bread and milk are left out and the door unlatched as a symbol of hospitality. St Stephen's Day, the day after Christmas, is almost as important, with football matches and meetings going on. For children, the Wren Boys Procession is their big event. Boys go from door to door with a fake wren on a stick, singing, with violins, accordions, harmonicas and ...
I Am an Animal Person In the world there are so many different people. Some people like and some do not like animals. But what makes an animal likeable and what is the reason why some people can not have an animal? Firstly, the biggest plus what animals can give is love. Every animal it does not matter how big or small he/she is, loves his/her host with all of his heart and he/she does not care how rich or famous you are. For example, puppies do so much trouble when they are young, but they show love every single day, sometimes they have to lick only your cheek to make you feel good. Secondly, one fateful thing about having an animal is that people do not have any time for them. Some people travel a lot and they can not afford to keep an animal. And even if you do not travel much and you want an animal, you have to have time for them. Lastly, some people are allergetic for animals hair, so th...
Traditions Australia doesn't have many traditions. Attempts to get Halloween off the ground have stalled due to one too many homeowners telling little kids to get off their property or they will see a scary sight. Australia celebrates many of the same holidays as do people of the Western world, such as Easter and Christmas. However, Australians also celebrate some holidays unique to their country and culture. Australia Day Australia Day, 26 January, is the anniversary of the arrival of the First Fleet of 11 convict ships from Great Britain, and the raising of the Union Jack at Sydney Cove by its commander Captain Arthur Phillip, in 1788. On Australia Day, over half of the nation's population of 21 million attend either an organised community event, or get together with family and friends with the intention of celebrating our national day. It is celebrated with parties, picnics, and f...

Some people prefer working at home to working in an office. This has its own advantages and disadvantages. First of all when you work at home you do not have to follow schedule every day you can wake up when you want, and finish work when you see fit. This allows you to spend more time with friends and family. Working at home helps to save money. You do not have to spend money on transportation every day and also for lunch. You can have home coocked meal which is always cheaper then eating out. On the other hand working at home can make you very lazy. Also at home you do not have enogh motivation to work, especially when there is something good coming on television. All in all i think that working at home is much better than working in an office because it has more advantages than disadvantages.
What is the best age to be? The question we all may ask ourselves time and time again. What is the best age to be? In my opinion there is not a best age and because of that is a question that will always be left unanswered. The life span approach emphasizes developmental change is throughout adulthood as well as childhood. As a 18 year old female I cannot really choose a specific age group that would be best in the life in every aspect, because I have not yet reached certain age periods of my life span development. All ages have great and bad things. When you are a child your freedom is limited and it mostly depends on your parents´ mood at that time. Some examples like where you have to be home at 9.00pm and no TV until you´ve cleaned your room. Also then you have problems, but only the ones generated at school. Childhood has many responsibilities, some we like, some we have to do and some we despise. Responsibilities some of us en...
Healthier than ever before! When I start thinking about healthy way of life, first thing that comes in my mind is cabbages and carrots. But healthy lifestyle contains more than that. Ofcourse it is very important to eat well, but in the same time it is essential to do diffrent kind of exercises and have basic knowledges about your body. Our grandmothers and grandfathers often complain, that we eat wrong sort of food, like hamburgers and french fries. But I think, it isn`t true. Yes, we eat hamburgers, but not every day. Me myself couldn`t eat a hamburger every day, I will get enough. It seems to me that younger generation appreciate a good work out more than ever more. We like to relax by doing exercises and fitting our body. It gives a lot of energy. In my opinion we are going to be a very healthy generation. Mari Saar.

Pros and Cons of Technology Humans are developing technology every day. What are the benefits and risks that technology can cause to humanity? There are a lot of different fields of technology. It is hard to find a profession where people do not use technology. Thanks to technology, we can make much more work during the day, for example a car, we can get from one town to another much faster with driving than walking. Althought it is good and comfortable for humans, it is not good for the air we breathe because of the exhaust fumes. This is the example to my belief that every technology have pros and cons at the same time. Year by year people are getting used to get their work done by or with technology, that is why i think we may get lazy and do not value what we have to do to get something done. Technology helps us to live longer. Our medicine is on whole next level than it was a century ago. I am s...

Dear Kate, I'm writing you to thank you for your letter where you asked whether or not I like travelling and which places I want to see next. Firstly, I simply adore travelling and take every opportunity I can to visit different countries. My last trip took me to the Finland where I met a lot of interesting people. Secondly, there are some countries I am dreaming to visit some day in the future. I would really like to travel to Japan. I would love to visit a country which has very rich traditions and culture. There are very proud and generous people. I would like to see some festivals there and also visit some old castles and temples. Also Japan is known for its robots and technical gadgets. And of course I like to see citylights in the night and go shopping to big centres. Shibuya 109 is a mutli-storey shopping centre just for teenage girs. And Akihabara in Tokyo is know solely for its electronics and games. Finally, the only negati...
The Internet is used for many different reasons. We use it every day for nearly everything. It would be impossible to live without it. But why do we need it so much and why do we spend hours of our day surfing the web? The Internet is definitely a very useful place: we can look up everything; from a chocolate cake recipe to a tutorial on how to change a car tire. It can make your schoolwork or other work related things much easier and can save you a lot of valuable time. Also, when you have access to the Internet, you always know what is going on. You can find out about a flood in Bangladesh within minutes of it happening. The purpose of the Internet has drastically changed over the years. Originally, just a massive global encyclopaedia, the possibilities of the Internet now have become endless. It has also become a social network, connecting you to people from every corner of the world, instantly. It has replaced live, face-to-face c...
Me and languages. To begin with, language is a congrecation of thoughts and feelings through a system of signals, such as voice sounds, gestures, or written symbols. Communication or language is a process every child learns from birth and during our life we will usually learn many different languages. Due to the fact that both of my parents are Estonians , my mother tongue is Estonian, therefore I can speak and write in it very fluently. I also prefer read the books in Estonian. I know that some people like to do it in some other languages, in English for instance. I am really amused by the Estonian literature. I like to read books and stories from Andrus Kivirähk and F.R. Kreutzwald. English is one of the world most spoken language. You can hear it everywhere, no matter which part of the world are you in. In the third grade of elementary scool I started to learn English a...
Good afternoon! My name is Egert and... ...Today I'm here to talk about advantages and disadvantages of fast development of modern technology. I think we all have noticed that almost every day there are new technology achievements at the stores. Whether we like it or not, it improves in every second, in every minute. New Apple iPhones, iPads and other i-devices are everywhere. Even tractors have a built-in computer in them. So, is it a blessing or a curse? I'm sure that most of you think it's a blessing. Do you? We like our comfortable lives, we like it when everything has been done for us already. We want to have the newest mobile phones and best cars to show off and be better than our friends. However, it can make people selfish and egoistic. They want more and more and more. In the past 10 years modern technology has improved so fast that it is clearly visible when we compare technology in the years 2002 ...

All the world's a puzzle All the world's a stage, And all the men and women merely players; They have their exits and their entrances, And one man in his time plays many parts, His acts being seven ages. At first, the infant, Mewling and puking in the nurse's arms. Then the whining schoolboy, with his satchel And shining morning face, creeping like snail Unwillingly to school. And then the lover, Sighing like furnace, with a woeful ballad Made to his mistress' eyebrow. Then a soldier, Full of strange oaths and bearded like the pard, Jealous in honor, sudden and quick in quarrel, Seeking the bubble reputation Even in the cannon's mouth. And then the justice, In fair round belly with good capon lined, With eyes severe and beard of formal cut, Full of wise saws and modern instances; And so he plays his part. Dear Teacher, Thank you for your last letter. It was very interesting to read it, because I have never thought to that before and it made me to think that what would it be like, if for one day I were a man. I think that almost every girl have thought sometimes that boys are stupid and they doesn't understand girls. So if I were a boy for one day, I would give my best to be the perfect boy and would try to avoid the mistakes that I think mostly the boys do when they hurt a girl. But definately that day would help me see the world as the way boys see it. And I think that day would help me a lot in my following life because probably I would understand the life better beacause I could see it from different corners. If I could experience one day as a boy I think without doubt it would change many things and viewpoints of my life. Definitely I would like to have a day like this. And also I would like to know how and why did you start thinking...
Water Imagine, it is a hot summer’s day, you are walking down the street, the sun is burning your skin, you have been walking quite a while now and suddenly, you feel you are thirsty. So what would you do …. Probably you go to the nearest store down the street and buy a bottle of water; a bubbly water, a vitamin water, a water from the fridge, there is so many variety of waters and still you have something to complain about how the water is to expensive how the day is too hot, how the water is too cold . And now imagine… imagine the people, who live in African deserts, imagine feeling thirsty and not having any water at all, not around you, not anywhere. People who live there they have to make long journeys or treks over rough and barren land to get water and when they finally reach to that hole in the ground, then that water there isn’t even clean. It takes so much time and energy, just ...
Water pollution and society This essay is about fresh water and pollution. It's based on an article by David Krantz and Brad Kifferstein. I read it through and now I'm trying to give the conclusion of the article as well as express my own opinion. 70 percent of planet Earth's surface contain water. Water is the beginning of life and vital natural resource. It's vital for every living organism. That's why we have to keep the water bodies clean and stop polluting our fresh water. It's hard to believe, but planet Earth is in great danger. People can't see the whole picture. They are being indifferent to the future. Everyone thinks about themselves and tries to find a better and easier way to get rid of garbage and waste. Money is everything for them. Money talks and nobody cares about giving a dollar to save the nature. Usually a person thinks that what difference can he make. But if everybody think so, it's o...
Traditions What is tradition? From a scientific point of view a tradition is a ritual, belief or object passed down within a society, still maintained in the present, with origins in the past. I think it is easier to say that a tradition is a way of doing things that is handed down from generation to generation in a family, club, nation, any group. Why are traditions important? They bring you closer together. They are a trigger, a reason to get together, they bring back happy memories. Without traditions life would not be as fulfilled. Traditions are the glue that binds one generation to another. They give every member something to look forward to in our sometimes chaotic lives. They remind us to slow down and remember the things and people that are most important. There are many different traditions and they all have different meaning. In my opinion the most important traditions are family ones, like celebrating birthdays, anniversa...

Why do I need to speak English in the English class? I am going to write why I need to use English in English class. Using English in theEnglish class is important, because it is the best practise for English pronunciation and the more I use English the more I will command the language. I must express strong regret that I have not been using English in English classes very often and because of that I have many cacoepies and I am not very good at speaking English and that is why I should speak English during the English classes much more. Using English frequently gives me better understanding of the language, I will become more fluent in it and my general intelligence improves remarkably. Human beings are unique species because of their ability to learn, but in order to use this ability's full capacity, I must study every day. Good afternoon! My name is Maris Ploom and I'm form 10 th B. Today I'm here to talk about the advantages and the disadvantages of fast development of modern technology. I think we have all noticed that almost every day there are new technology achievements at the stores. Whether we like it or not, it improves in every second, in every minute. So, is it a blessing or a curse? I'm sure that most of you think it's a blessing. We like our comfortable lives, we like it when everything has already been done for us. We want to have the newest mobile phones and best cars to show off and be better than our friends. However, it can make people selfish and egoistic. In the past 10 years modern technology has improved so fast that it is clearly visible when we compare the technology in the years 1999 and 2009. When I was a little girl, I remember the time I got my first mobile phone. It was Nokia 3210, which was t...

Mardi Gras in the USA Mardi Gras, from the French words meaning "Fat Tuesday," combines religious tradition with a carnival or festival to welcome spring. It is also called Shove Tuesday or Pancake Day (in UK pancakes have an important role in celebrating Mardi Gras). Mardi Gras is the final day of Carnival- a festival season. Carnival begins 12 days after Christmas on January 6 and ends on Mardi Gras, which always falls exactly 47 days before Easter. The date of Mardi Gras changes every year. In the year 2008 it is on the 5th of February. "Fat Tuesday" is also the last day that Catholics can eat meat before Lent, the forty-day period of fasting before Easter The cities most famous for their Mardi Gras celebrations include New Orleans, Louisiana; Venice, Italy; and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Many other places have important Mardi Gras celebrations as well. It is a federal holiday in Alabama, Florida an...
