Manners in Estonia

Men should initiate greetings with women and the younger person always greets the older person. When meeting someone make sure you are stood up, offer direct eye contact and give a nice firm handshake. The most common greeting is "tere" ("hello"). Titles are very important. "Härra" is for Mr, "Prova" is Mrs and "Preili" is Miss. All should be followed with the surname. Only use first names once you have been invited to do so. Gift Giving Etiquette Gifts are usually exchanged for birthdays and at Christmas. Gifts need not be expensive as it is more about the thought than monetary worth. If you are invited to an Estonian's house, a decent gift is a bring a box of chocolates or flowers. Flowers should be given in odd numbers. Gifts are usually opened when received. Dining Etiquette Arrive on time. Punctuality is expected. Call if running late. Check to see if shoes are being worn in the house.

Finnish Behaviour Finns believe there is a proper way to act in any circumstance and always expect courteous behaviour. Talk in moderate tones and do not do anything to call attention to yourself. Serial conversation is the rule - i.e. listen to the speaker, wait for them to finish and then reply. Interrupting is rude. Why do we need morality?

sees and judges all our actions. Law is related to morality as well as religion. In the perfect word morality should be the basis of law. But in real world there are unjust laws and immoral acts that cannot be legally enforced. The law cannot judge human motives and intentions as well and that is why the law is much more shallower. One can be morally evil, intending to do evil things, but as long as he won't do them, he is legally innocent. The relationship between morality and etiquette is that etiquette varies greatly in different cultures and is usually morally neutral. For example one culture eats with chop-sticks, other with forks and knives, but it does not make neither of them less moral.

Woman and management

Woman and management Historically, women were known as the fairer sex. Usually, they had to be at home and take care of children. If their family had the means, they normally received a basic education in the arts, etiquette, manners and aspects of running a household. Women did not have any opportunity to say a word in any kind of business. They were only in a subordinate position. As the saying goes- behind every great man there is a great woman. I think that it was pretty fair that women were only at home in action with children at this time, because business were not so developed as the whole society. Good sence of authority,

Net etiquette e. netiquette) on kogum vaikimisi välja kujunenud reegleid, mida on soovitav järgida arvutivõrgu vahendusel suheldes.

Looks - how important

the rules, I follow them! My friends might still know who I really am, but making new friends is difficult or even impossible because of my own "freestyle". Taking care of look belongs to grown-up behavior! Luckily of unfortunately is look the base of communication, servicing and relationships. So, look is important! Who could imagine being served by a little stinky dude, who dresses into informal dirty clothes? I couldn´t. If look was not important, there would not be loads of etiquette rules. What if look would not be important? I do not even have to generate theories. I know people, who do not think about necessity of taking care of their look. I can see them every day. Somehow they do not aware their problem. How can anyone ever feel comfortable with dirty clothes, untidy skin and fetid body? This secret remains to be under disgusting cover. In conclusion I would say that look is really important! No matter what is being achieved, look has a solid role in result

Netikett

Surfing also takes place on rivers, riding a standing wave. *Two major subdivisions within stand-up surfing are longboarding and shortboarding, reflecting differences in surfboard design -- particularly including surfboard length, and riding style. *It's important to observe the correct etiquette while out surfing, otherwise things will just descend in to total chaos. These are the most importand rules you have to follow. Probaly the most important word and rule in surfing. Respect for the land, the ocean and the people who grew up surfing here. You have to give respect and behave while visiting a spot, keep things friendly, earn some respect yourself *You will never know what may happen out there and its better if you have some friend with you. They can look over you and you over them.

Võrgus on aja jooksul välja kujunenud terve hulk reegleid, millest iga interneti kasutaja peaks kinni pidama - sellega austate te teisi kasutajaid. Netikett on lühend sõnadest Internet ja etikett, seega netikett tähendab Interneti käitumisjuhiseid. sole control. As the Muslim world came into contact with Western secular ideals, Muslim societies responded in different ways. Turkey has been governed as a secular state ever since the reforms of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. In contrast, the 1979 Iranian Revolution replaced a mostly secular regime with an Islamic republic led by the Ayatollah Ruholla Khomeini. Etiquette and diet Many practices fall in the category of adab, or Islamic etiquette. This includes greeting others with "assalamu `alaykum" ("peace be unto you"), saying bismillah ("in the name of God") before meals, and using only the right hand for eating and drinking. Islamic hygienic practices mainly fall into the category of personal cleanliness and health, such as the circumcision of male offspring. Islamic burial rituals include saying the Salat alJanazah ("funeral prayer") over the bathed and enshrouded dead body, and burying it in a grave.

Rahvusvaheline äritegevus Eksam

What may be acceptable business practice in one country, may be very different from the approach that is used by businesses overseas. Therefore, recognising how culture can affect international business is something that should be understood in order to avoid misunderstandings between colleagues and clients, and also to make sure that businesses are presenting themselves to their new market in the best way they can. • Workplace etiquette in some cultures also means they have a different approach towards workplace confrontation, rules and regulations, and working hours. While some may consider working long hours a sign of commitment and achievement, others may consider these extra hours a demonstration of a lack of efficiency or the lack of prioritisation of family or personal time. COMMUNICATION IMPACT AND ATTITUDES Communication plays an important role in international business, and sometimes

After being greeted by the President, they set off to tour the Show, guided by Council members and RHS staff - each group following a different route.

ETIKETI konspekt

Miljan Kalmus [email protected] MÕISTED ETIKETT on mudel, näidis, eeskuju, kuidas midagi teha - kuidas tervitada, esitleda, kirjutada kirju, rõivastuda, olla hea pererahvas külalistele.

Jane Austen

"As soon as ever Mr. Bingley comes, my dear," said Mrs. Bennet, "you will wait on him of course." "No, no. You forced me into visiting him last year, and promised, if I went to see him, he should marry one of my daughters. But it ended in nothing, and I will not be sent on a fool's errand again." His wife represented to him how absolutely necessary such an attention would be from all the neighbouring gentlemen, on his returning to Netherfield. "'Tis an etiquette I despise," said he. "If he wants our society, let him seek it. He knows where we live. I will not spend my hours in running after my neighbours every time they go away and come back again." "Well, all I know is, that it will be abominably rude if you do not wait on him. But, however, that shan't prevent my asking him to dine here, I am determined. We must have Mrs. Long and the Gouldings soon. That will make thirteen with ourselves, so there will be just room at table for him."

Videvik(kogu raamat Inglise keeles)

"I'll always want you," I warned him. "Forever." He walked slowly around the table, and, pausing a few feet away, he reached out to touch his fingertips to my cheek. His expression was unfathomable. "Does that make you sad?" I asked. He didn't answer. He stared into my eyes for an immeasurable period of time. "Are you finished?" he finally asked. I jumped up. "Yes." "Get dressed -- I'll wait here." It was hard to decide what to wear. I doubted there were any etiquette books detailing how to dress when your vampire sweetheart takes you home to meet his vampire family. It was a relief to think the word to myself. I knew I shied away from it intentionally. I ended up in my only skirt -- long, khaki-colored, still casual. I put on the dark blue blouse he'd once complimented. A quick glance in the mirror told me my hair was entirely impossible, so I pulled it back into a pony tail. "Okay." I bounced down the stairs. "I'm decent."
