How can the issue of intolerance be addressed by the government?

How can the issue of intolerance be addressed by the government? Intolerance in society is actually the intolerance of it’s individual members. Intolerance is rooted in fear and ignorance. People are afraid of the unknown, it is natural. But it can only grow, if it gets encouragement, either from parents, who are also ingorant or school, who just do not teach children any better. And fighting intolerance requires Law. Intolerance can be fought with education. Tolerance can be teached at an early age only, later it is difficult change a person’s values. And if intolerance starts with the fear of the unknow, education can help. Government should emphasise education more and more. Children should learn about tolerance and human rights and about other ways of life

Essee "Every Cloud Has a Silver Lining"

Every Cloud Has a Silver Lining Essay "Every cloud has a silver lining" - this is a very commonly used expression meaning that every bad situation has some good aspect to it. It's usually said as an encouragement to someone who is struggling in difficulties and is unable to see any positive way to get out of it. I have to say that I strongly believe in the meaning of this proverb and I try to recall it in my mind every time I'm in a complicated situation. Although I, like every other person in this world, have my ups and downs, I mostly like to think of myself as a positive person. I always seem to surprise people with my "can-do" attitude and smiley face, especially in severe or akward situations

Main focus is to do better the business expertise of creative enterprises and to establish a soft infrastructure and help interprises become international. Five top Estonian designers have joined the Tallinn Creative Incubator. Their international awards and recognition is an encouragement for other Creative Incubator clients. Creative Incubator partners have included the Estonian Academy of Arts, Mainor Business School Design Institute, the Estonian Association of Designers and the Estonian Design Centre. In my personal opinion I suppose that Estonian Business Incubators are perspective and can be competitive with European Incubators, but for the best result (I mean for investors) Estonian Incubators need more attraction and advertizing.

The Emperor of Lilliput is described as a partisan of the LowHeels, just as King George I employed only Whigs in his administration; the Emperor's heir is described as having "one of his heels higher than the other", which describes the encouragement by the Prince of Wales (the future George II) of the political opposition during his father's life; once he ascended the throne, however, George II was as staunch a favorer of the Whigs as his father had been. The novel further describes an intraLilliputian quarrel over the practice of breaking eggs. Traditionally, Lilliputians broke boiled eggs on the larger end; a few generations ago, an Emperor of Lilliput had decreed that all eggs be broken on the smaller end

as foreseen by common meanings, they must also be able to agree on a wider scale. Recognized norms and accepted values serve as a basis for more productive cooperation. Hechter and Horne (Hechter and Horne, 2003) describe norms as our "external criteria for evaluation" and values as our "internal criteria for evaluation". As norms are external, there are sanctions in the society so that the can exist effectively. People obey norms because they receive social encouragement for doing so. Norms are generally beneficial to the whole community why the help in maintaining social order even if the individuals are all rather rational. Values, however, represent our desires and are affected by only inner "sanctions" guilt and self-control, which differ from person to person. Values can also be explained in two categories - individual values and social values. Social values are affected by ethical principles or the group individual associates him/herself with.

Born in 1946 in a village in the northern Italian province of Gorizia, near the border with the then Yugoslavia, Capello insists a hardworking upbringing and the encouragement of his father to pursue his footballing dreams are the roots of his success. His father played for an Italian third division side and an uncle was so good that he played for the national side. Not only was football in the genes but it also provided an escape from the Cold War pressures in a part of Italy where there was constant fear that the borders could be redrawn and his family forced from their home. The contest was hard to get in, but I had set a goal and I managed to fulfill my expectations. This school has given me better conditions to study the subjects which interest me. Still I think it is wrong to say that so called valued schools are essential for a good education. It shouldn’t be forgotten that nine tenths of education is encouragement like a French poet Anatole France has said. I remember clearly that from a very early age, I have been interested in foreign policy. For most of the elderly people it was ridiculous, because what could a young boy know about such a complicated theme. In retrospect I can understand them because even professors of this subject are constantly acquiring new information. Chimpanzees though, largely only share with close relatives, reciprocating partners or potential mates. Felix Warneken of Harvard University in Cambridge, US, differentiates it like this. Children are "proactive", that is, they help even when presented with only very subtle cues. Chimpanzees though, need more encouragement. They are "reactive": they will hand over objects but only after some nudging. What happened in our evolution to make us reliant on each other? Something must have happened in our evolution, Tomasello says, to make humans increasingly reliant on each other. Our brains needed fuel to get bigger and so collaborative hunting may have played a key role in that. Our advanced teamwork may simply reflect our long history of working together to get food. If a woman conceals her affection with the same skill from the object of it, she may lose the opportunity of fixing him; and it will then be but poor consolation to believe the world equally in the dark. There is so much of gratitude or vanity in almost every attachment, that it is not safe to leave any to itself. We can all begin freely--a slight preference is natural enough; but there are very few of us who have heart enough to be really in love without encouragement. In nine cases out of ten a women had better show more affection than she feels. Bingley likes your sister undoubtedly; but he may never do more than like her, if she does not help him on." "But she does help him on, as much as her nature will allow. If I can perceive her regard for him, he must be a simpleton, indeed, not to discover it too." He hesitated for a moment, and a peculiar tone entered his voice. "I can't sleep." It took me a minute to absorb that. "At all?" "Never," he said, his voice nearly inaudible. He turned to look at me with a wistful expression. The golden eyes held mine, and I lost my train of thought. I stared at him until he looked away.

3 . REFUSAL OF THE C A L L ( T H E RELUCTANT HERO) T h i s one is about fear. Often at this point the hero balks at the threshold of adventure, Refusing the Call or expressing reluctance. After all, she is facing the greatest of all fears, terror of the unknown. T h e hero has not yet fully committed to the journey and may still be thinking of turning back. Some other influence — a change in circumstances, a further offense against the natural order of things, or the encouragement of a M e n t o r — is required to get her past this turning point of fear. In romantic comedies, the hero may express reluctance to get involved (maybe because of the pain of a previous relationship). In a detective story, the private eye may at first turn down the case, only to take it on later against his better judgment. II T H E W R I T E R ' S JOURNEY ~ T H I R D EDITION

all the way to the root. With our hands linked, he took my mouth and began to move, gliding in and out with languid skill, the tempo precise and relentless yet smooth and easy. I felt every rock-hard inch of him, felt the unmistakable reiteration that every inch of me was his to possess. He drove the message home repeatedly until I was gasping against his mouth, thrashing restlessly beneath him, my hands bloodless from the strength of my grip on his. He spoke heated praise and encouragement, telling me how beautiful I was...how perfect I felt to him...how he'd never stop...couldn't stop. I came with a sharp cry of relief, vibrating with the ecstasy of it, and he was right there with me. His pace quickened for several slamming thrusts; then he climaxed with a hiss of my name, spilling into me. I sank lax into the mattress, sweaty and boneless and replete. "I'm not done," he whispered darkly, adjusting his knees to increase the force of his thrusts.

By the summer of 1952 this program could, Strachey reported, "play a complete game of Draughts at a reasonable speed". Prinz's chess program, also written for the Ferranti Mark I, first ran in November 1951. It was for solving simple problems of the mate-in-two variety. The program would examine every possible move until a solution was found

published. He described the composition of it in a letter to Manly in the spring of 1931: I hadn't done any real work for so long that I told Bye, my agent, and the Sat Eve Post that I would need some one else to write the stuff. I showed a few things to Bye and Costain, the latter editor of POST, and both told me to go to work myself. I sat for days before a typewriter, helpless. Oh, I pecked away a bit, and gradually under the encouragement of Bye I got a bit of confidence. Then Bobbs Merrill advanced me $1000 on outline. Then there was a call to rush the book. I began to work in shifts, working a few hours, sleeping a few hours, going out of my room only to buy some eggs, bread, coffee and cans of tomatoe juice. Jesus, the stuff I turned out. Sometimes only a thousand words, but often as many as 10,000 a day. As the chapters appeared I took them to Bye who read them and offered criticism

At around the same time, Mrs. Clinton Locke, president of the Beresford Cat Club, wrote in a letter to "Our Cats" "The first white Persian I ever owned was brought to me many years ago from Persia by a distinguished traveller, and its eyes were amber". The White Persian was especially popular: "There is always a keen demand for white kittens, either as pretty pets or, if with correct-coloured eyes, for breeding purposes, and, doubtless, when more encouragement is given to this beautiful variety, there will be an increase of fanciers of the white cat, whose praises have been sung in fairy tales, nursery rhymes, and by novelists who have a weakness for describing interiors with a beautiful white Persian cat reclining on the hearthrug." "Whereas formerly blue eyes were considered quite a rarity, now it is seldom we see any yellow-eyed white cats exhibited at our principal shows [...] It is easy to tell whether the

Acknowledgements I thank my editor, Moira Taylor, for her bracing encouragement and (espe- cially) for her patience. The latter was severely tried. Mike Harnish, Greg McCulloch, and Ed Mares each very kindly read an early draft and supplied me with many thoughtful comments and suggestions. I believe the book is much improved as a result, and I am most grateful. Peter Alward and Laura Morgan produced much of the early draft by transcribing many hours of lectures from very bad audio recordings. I thank

The 4-Hour Body - An Uncommon Guide to Rapid Fat-Loss, Incredible Sex, and Becoming Superhuman - Timothy Ferriss

If I didn't put theory into practice, none of it would make sense later. So on went the latex gloves. My research partner arrived, and we repeated what I'd just seen. The two coaches who'd been sitting next to me earlier were now seated in front of me, kneeling about three feet from the woman's clitoris. They reached in occasionally to correct my hand position and o ered intermittent suggestions ("ensure your forearm is parallel to her body") or encouragement ("good stroke!"). It was like playing for the coolest Little League team in the world. Go, Timmy, go! My partner experienced all of the involuntary muscle contraction I had hoped for, and the group coaching, though a little weird, wasn't uncomfortable in the least. Aiko asked me if I had any feedback after the session ended. I did. "This should be required education for every man on the planet." Orgasm, as de ned by most women, is not gratifying
