There are also people who disagree with that and say that you actually have to change things yourself. It is my opinion that time is irrevelant and you have to change things yourself. At first, you may conclude that time does indeed change things, but is that an accurate conclusion? It’s true that time constantly moves on and we live in a constantly changing environment. But that doesn’t make time responsible for change. For example, if you are depressed and you cry constantly and you don’t make a change, the same problem will be in your face very day. Time and Change are both constant, but their relationship is random. Over the passage of time, changes will take place, but what that change will be is not controlled by time. In conclusion, If you want things to change for the better, you can either wait to see what changes take place over the passage of time, or you can choose to change the situation yourself
Classic, hip-hop or different types of rock are extremely popular with youngsters. So, in the world of guitar chords and dancing sounds of violins everyone can find something he really loves. Secondly, there are not any limitations in ages. Teenagers and adults can listen to the same music and not be worry that it is shamefully. No one will laugh if you like classical or rock music. What's more, music helps us to live. When someone feels lonely or depressed he just turns his player on and listens to his favorite songs. And all his sadness goes away. So, music for us is also one of the ways to relax. In conclusion, I want to say that music is a great support in role of the modern society. And if someone tells me that he doesn't like listening to music, I just won't believe because it seems me unreal.
We say hi to each other and we often say sorry, even if our acts aren't so bad. There are also many gentlemen in Estonia, who open doors for women and make a lot of compliments. I really like that, because one opened door or one little compliment can make your mood for the entire day. Our country has four seasons and every season changes our mood. In summer and winter Estonians are very happy, but in autumn, when the weather is rainy, foggy and afternoons are very dark, Estonians are quite depressed and very tired for the entire season . In the spring Estonians are full of energy and joy. Estonians keep their respect for one another and love their country , because of that, i am very proud to be an Estonian. Jessica Lauring 9b

If I were to describe how she looks, I would say she is very pretty. She has short brown hair, brown almond-shaped eyes, a small nose and a small pointed chin. She is not very tall but not short either and she is quite slim. She doesn't like to dress up so I usually see her wearing jeans and a T-shirt or sweater. It seems like she and I are always talking or laughing about something. She has a very nice personality and a wonderful sense of humor but she can also get a little depressed from time to time. I can always count on her to be honest and to give me the best advice. We are interested in many of the same hobbies. We both enjoy music, playing in computer games and surf in internet. We like going to the cinema but sometimes can't agree on which movie to see. Sometimes we just walk around, trying to find a new area of the city to explore. We both like traveling, reading, and swimming. In the holydays we might walk into town and see a movie
reduced calorie diet that includes fruits, vegetables and fish. What people eat determines how they tackle their daily physical activities, including housework, job, school, homework, shopping, caring for a family and exercise. Eating healthy enables body movements to be executed with ease.A poor diet with unhealthy food choices can make each movement a major effort filled with stress and pain. When people are hungry that means their blood sugar dropped, they feel tired, irritable and depressed and starvation. They're becoming more agressive to things around them.Solution for that is eating regularly and choosing foods that release energy slowly will help to keep sugar levels steady. I think food affects our well-being,because is one of the important thing for our body. Food gives substances like vitamines, minerals, carbohydrates and protein to our body. When people starving, they feel weakness in their body, because their body don't get enough substances. Then
Many people turn to the Internet in order to manage unpleasant feelings such as stress, loneliness, depression, and anxiety. This suggests that it's important to remember that there are healthier (and more effective) ways to keep difficult feelings in check. These may include exercising, meditating, using sensory relaxation strategies, and practicing simple breathing exercises. One anticipated finding was that you are at greater risk of Internet addiction if you suffer from anxiety, you are depressed, you have any other addictions, you lack social support, you're an unhappy teenager, you are less mobile or socially active than you once were or you are stressed. The results of this study indicate that there are 5 different symptoms of Internet addiction which are losing track of time online, having trouble completing tasks at work or home, isolation from family and friends, feeling quilty or defensive about your Internet use and
my own experience that it is sometimes the hardest thing to do and there have been times when I have felt like I want to give up on everything and just stop caring. Then I remember that times like this will not last and after a hurricane comes a rainbow. Even though being stressed out is not anything uncommon in teenager's life nowadays, I believe that it is all in our own hands and a little bit of stress does not harm us. We just need to learn how to cope with stress and how to avoid getting depressed. It is really easy to affect young people because the younger one is. the harder it is for him to control his emotions. The important thing is to remember that life is a gift and not only do we have to treat others nice, but we also have to care about ourselves.
images in art, printed media, video games, films, television programs, commercials. Everybody sees the world much prettier, thanks to the images, but. What are the effects of computer-generated images? Firstly, people are getting use to the thought, that everything around them is free from defects. People watch movies and pictures, play games and do not think, that everything they see is not a reality. They get depressed when finding out that the actual look of an object is not the same as it was on the pictures. When booking a hotel, everybody firstly look at the pictures of the hotel and then decide if they really want to stay there. As they arrive to the place they booked, they are disappointed, because all the pictures were illustrated. Computer-generated images are often the main reasons why people get upset and are disappointed. Secondly, little childrens central nervous system can be effected

reabsorption of dopamine into neurons. In 40 minutes, half the effects of nicotine are gone. So smokers get the urge to light up for another dose of the drug. After repeated doses of nicotine, the brain changes. To adjust to too much dopamine, the brain cuts production of the neurotransmitter and reduces the number of some receptors. Now, the smoker needs nicotine just to create normal levels of dopamine in his or her brain. Without nicotine, the smoker feels irritable and depressed. The smoker has trained the limbic system to crave tobacco. Think about how you long for a cold drink on a hot day. Or how you want a sandwich when you are hungry. Craving for tobacco is much stronger. These changes in the brain and body make nicotine highly addictive. Other addictive drugs of abuse, including heroin and cocaine, cause the same changes in the brain. While inhaling a cigarette, smokers are pulling more than nicotine into their lungs. Tobacco

When he wrote this book he had gun on his table every time. Same kind of thing is in this book, he thinked all the time razor he had. Place where all events took place was in German, stormy 1920. Book talkes about one man life who have two sides of himselfs. One side is human (that likes to live and enjoy life) and other side is wolf (side that you do not wanna be, makes you think about how sad life is, suicide thoughts included). Although book talks a lot about suicide and depressed life at first, but the more you read, the more things spins out. Like he finds herself in one pub, as he drink there he finds good-looking women and that women is like her mirror of life. That women gets all main character problems and it seems that they need each other to survive in this horribel world. I like that book because it taught me that every man can enjoy life even if her lovelife is not so well, he have no friends or family
Many people have mentioned this story in some conversations and lots of quotes in Internet contain "J.D.Salinder" in the end of it, therefore I was really excited when we decided to read this book as a part of our English lesson course. It was very good way for English skills practice and also self- liberalizing. I think many teenagers would be able to relate the book to the actual themes - it's a modern classic of today. Every teeneager has had once felt himself sort of depressed and upset. It is absolutely normal state for identity formation. We mature, we become adults, we revise our values and are feeling really unusual sometimes. Lots of times I have caught myself thinking that I'd already felt something like this before... Lots of moments in this book were really similar to some periods of my life and many relatives seemed very similar to characters of this book. "The Catcher in the Rye" certainly wouldn't be everyone's "cup of tea book", however

Stress is a natural part of young people's lives. Negative stress can affect people's ability to be positive. I'd probably agree with the statement. To begin with, one of the main sources of stress for young people today can be relationships with parents. Everybody knows that fighting with parents can affect ours ability to be positive. Moreover, parents are the closest persons in our lives and fighting with them break us. For instance, I am always so depressed after arguing with my mother, I do not want to hurt her feelings. In my view, young people should avoid fighting with parents to cope with this source of stress. Secondly, school is another main source of stress and can affect people's ability to be positive. Nowadays young people have so much to study in school. They are always under the pressure, because tests are almost everyday and everybody wants to pass them. For example, I

-Cannot stand up -Will not wake up -Slow labored or adnormal breathing -Skin has a purple color -Skin feels clammy -Rapid pulse rate -Irregular heart rythem -Lowered blood pressure Another common thing is choking to death on your own vomit after an alcohol overdose. Death by asphyxiation occurs when alcohol depresses the body's reflexes to the point that you cant vomit right. Another thing that comes along with binge drinking is depression and suicide. You get depressed so you drink and since alcohol is a depressant it brings you down even more it brings you to the state of hopelessness. The toxic effects of alcohol can manipulate you brains neuro-transmitters, which are responsible for mood and judgement. This can plung you into deeper depression and bring thought about suicide. It can also bring a cycle of drinking: the more you drink the more depressed you become, and that makes you want to drink more.

Always keep moving fowards no matter what happens in life! There is never such thing as “I can’t move on, I am hurt, I am feeling depressed”, there just isn’t. Motivation isn’t something what just comes by a random chance. It is something what needs to be understood and observed with feelings and emotions. Motivation comes from the past incidents what I have had and have been through with. I know what I have been thorugh with and how hard the times can get in life but then I can’t just give up my life, I can’t surrender my body to drugs or alcohol in order to forget or ignore the problems

Have you not noticed that? You definitely have as it can be seen everywhere! The casting decisions made in commercials tremendously affect the young female audience reading this type of media, leading to the lowering of their self-esteem. Sadly this phenomenon can result in health problems. The Harvard Eating Disorders Center reports that 80% of women wake up each morning feeling depressed about their appearance (Johnston, 2004, paragraph 15). I have no doubt that persuasive media play a huge role in this unfortunately high percentage number. Monday, October 28, 2013 THE DAILY NEWS

In the mid-1920s life was getting harder for the lower classes. A slump in the mining industry in 1925 led Britain's miners to a nationwide strike. The General Strike started on 4 May 1926 and many people stopped work in support of the men who worked in the mines. The strike had a great effect on their conditions, but it was not successful in its political aims. The war was followed by a period of severe hardship throughout Europe as the depressed economies struggled to recover from the war effort. It was a period of great social unrest and mistrust between various classes. Unemployment was high, wages low and there were numerous strikes by all the unions in an unsuccessful attempt to stop the owners of the coal mines cutting miners' wages. The great Depression of the 1930s actually began with the collapse of American financial markets in 1929. Over three million people out of workforce of 14 million were unemployed

It is easy to notice the contrast between Levin and Stiva. Stiva is the height of sophistication, and Levin seems blue-collar by comparison; it is the difference between city life and country life that stands out. Levin is shown to have a better background, purer values and a more positive attitude toward marriage than Stiva. Chapters 7-15 Levin's brother has been very ill with tuberculosis (referred to as consumption). Levin cannot cope with the idea of death and becomes depressed whenever he thinks of his brother. Before he even begins to deal with the death, he feels he must propose to Kitty Shcherbatsky, which is why he has arrived in Moscow. Levin heads off to the skating rink to meet up with Kitty and her family. He tries to show off with his skating skills, and Kitty for a minute regains her fondness for Levin. Still, she believes she's in love with Vronsky, a man of social status. Kitty's own mother favors Vronsky as a match. Even though Princess

talk about except his mother's illness. The hours are an agony for them. Paul's mother has been taken to the hospital to be treated for her cancer. His father says that he did not even dare to ask the hospital what the operation would cost because he feared that the doctors would not perform the surgery if he did. Before they leave, Paul's father and sister give Paul some jam and potato cakes that his mother made for him. Depressed, Paul has no appetite for them, and ponders whether to give them to the hungry Russian prisoners. He decides that he will, but then he remembers that his mother must have been in pain when she made the cakes and that she meant them for him. He compromises by giving the prisoners two of the cakes. Summary When Paul returns to the front, he finds Kat, Müller, Tjaden, and Kropp still alive and uninjured. He shares his potato cakes with them. There is excitement among the ranks: the
found that years of backpacking led them to a more pointed sense of identity confusion, or a feeling of being lost in a ‘sea’ of cultural differences (see Cohen, 2010). Return trips home for the participants were also commonly marked by distress and intense ‘reverse culture confusion’ (Hottola, 2004, p. 460), which in more pronounced cases manifested in a brief depressive state: ‘Every time I go back to the United States, it’s hard, I get real depressed, lay in bed for about a week, every single time (Josh, American, 23). Rather than returning home and, as is described of many backpackers, narrating their travels as a badge of achievement that might facilitate access to a professional workforce (Desforges, 2000; Sørensen, 2003) and eventually successfully reorientating themselves to their home societies (Noy & Cohen, 2005; Pocock & McIntosh, 2010), participants spoke of persisting

Yours sincerely, Linda Steel Dear Stephanie, Thanks for your letter asking me for advice about how to lose weight I was sorry to hear that you're feeling depressed. I'm sure your problem isn't as serious as you say it is. You always did exaggerate! The best advice I can give you is to choose one diet and really stick to it for a couple of months; it's pointless trying lots of different ones which only last a few days, as you've discovered. If I were you, I would go on the same diet I went on: I've sent you the information booklet. The most important thing to remember is to eat plenty of fruit and vegetables and to exercise regularly.

An internal orientation usually needs to be matched by competence, self-efficacy and opportunity so that the person is able to successfully experience the sense of personal control and responsibility. • Overly internal people who lack competence, efficacy and opportunity can become neurotic, anxious and depressed. In other words, internals need to have a realistic sense of their circle of influence in order to experience 'success'. • Externals can lead easy-going, relaxed, happy lives Internaalid – vastutus iseendal, eksternaalid saavad atributeerida väljapoole. The government is highly hypercritical because it spends billions of the cold war instead of fighting crime inside the us. Another area of problem is urbanisation. Thinks that new york is hell. One of the more difficult questions is ,,what does it mean to be a modern man in a modern city under mechanisation". At the same time he shows that man is a creature of pecularitys and contradiction, there are conflicting ideas and emotions. Herzog is very lonely and depressed, this is the range of his life. He calls the police for company, atleast someone to talk to. In general he views life in america as a horrible dream, where everything becomes standardized. The american nation is seen by hertzog as a crowd of lonely souls, frightened, faceless, brainwashed by the government and the media. But herzog is not only critical of the government but he is also disgusted by the middle class, believes that most of them have morally fallen, their desire in life is greed.
"Bella?" my father called out when he heard me on the stairs. Who else? I thought to myself. "Hey, Dad, welcome home." "Thanks." He hung up his gun belt and stepped out of his boots as I bustled about the kitchen. As far as I was aware, he'd never shot the gun on the job. But he kept it ready. When I came here as a child, he would always remove the bullets as soon as he walked in the door. I guess he considered me old enough now not to shoot myself by accident, and not depressed enough to shoot myself on purpose. "What's for dinner?" he asked warily. My mother was an imaginative cook, and her experiments weren't always edible. I was surprised, and sad, that he seemed to remember that far back. "Steak and potatoes," I answered, and he looked relieved. He seemed to feel awkward standing in the kitchen doing nothing; he lumbered into the living room to watch TV while I worked. We were both more comfortable that way. I made a salad while the steaks
