What are the Estonians like?
Estonia is a very small country , therefore its population is quite small. We, Estonians, are very friendly and care about each other. When our country is going through rough times , we stick together and try to go through them as one. There aren 't many riots in our country, because we aren’t violent people. We like to stay quiet, so only a few of us have the courage to say their opinion out loud .
Estonians have quite good manners. We say hi to each other and we often say sorry , even if our acts aren't so bad. There are also many gentlemen in Estonia, who open doors for women and make a lot of compliments. I really like that, because one opened door or one little compliment can make your mood for the entire day.
Our country has four seasons and every season changes our mood. In summer and winter Estonians are very happy, but in autumn , when the weather is rainy, foggy and afternoons are very dark, Estonians are quite depressed and very tired for the entire season. In the spring Estonians are full of energy and joy.
Estonians keep their respect for one another and love their country, because of that, i am very proud to be an Estonian.

What makes me estonian?

There’s much more to being Estonian than just a simple number or letter on a piece of paper. I find that there are a few very specific and quite odd reasons and traits that define me as an estonian. The first of many would be my quote unquote obsession with our language. Every time I meet a foreigner or i need to talk about estonia, I cant leave out mentioning how difficult and complex our language is. We have 14 noun cases, letters like õ ä and ö which make even our neighboring nations scratch their head in confusion. One of the most entertaining things for me is letting foreigners try to pronounce words like saiakäärd or ööülikool. Despite estonian being a hard language to learn, even for native speakers, I am proud, that i was born here and im able to speak and write in estonian. Another reason why I consider myself to be estonian, is our unique personality, that seems like

British Cuisine Some people criticize English food. They say it's unimaginable, boring, tasteless, it's chips with everything and totally overcooked vegetables. The basic ingredients, when fresh, are so full of flavour that British haven't had to invent sauces to disguise their natural taste. What can compare with fresh pees or new potatoes just boiled and served with butter? Why drown spring lamb in wine or cream and spices, when with just one or two herbs it is absolutely delicious? If you ask foreigners to name some typically English dishes, they will probably say "Fish and chips" then stop. It is disappointing, but true that, there is no tradition in England of eating in restaurants, because the food doesn't lend itself to such preparation. English cooking is found at home

Estonian holidays, festivals, cultural events

Holidays, Festivals, Cultural events TALLINN - If you're looking for entertainment in Estonia this summer, you are really spoiled for choice. Festivals and events dedicated to the consumption of beer are a lot of fun, but if you want to get the true feel of the country, you need something a little more ethnic. Like a town fair. Just as July becomes August, the seaside town of Haapsalu will host a grand spectacle of rural Estonian entertainment. The White Lady Days is a summer celebration filled with amusement for all the family. Held in and around the remains of the Teutonic-knights-era castles, the fair combines enchanting medieval legends with modern countryside charm to create a comprehensive experience of Estonia beyond the big cities.

Estonia Vs China

ESTONIA VS CHINA Today I shall compare the Baltic country, Estonia, and the highly-populated Asian country of China. Largely they are going to be very different, sharing little similarities, but this essay will go in-depth about what makes these two different nations different. First off, I am going to write about Estonia, a country within Europe. With a land of 45.227 square kilometers and a population estimated at 1.3 million, Estonia is quite small when compared to other its neighbors. The Estonian people largely speak Estonian, as is expected, but many of them also speak Russian and English as secondary tongues, the latter of which is very valuable for their info-

Why should tourists visit Estonia?

as well as the well-being of local inhabitants. The purpose of economical tourism is to increase the knowledges of the tourists and their cultural understanding. The most important resurss in Estonia is the untouched nature. Nowadays you can see that on the isles. There are a lot of islands and islets all around Estonia. Saaremaa and Hiiumaa are the bigest. On every summer there are all kind of parties and get-togethers for the inhabitants. Many tourists like to attend them because through them they get the right idea and feeling from our country. People here are friendly and hospitable, some even say that estonians are reserved but I don`t think those people who say that have seen the real estonian personality and behaviour. I belive there are many cities in Estonia that are worth visiting. Most tourists come to Tallinn, the capital of Estonia, and they don`t go any further than that . It may be

Topic - Estonia

Estonia is one of the most sparsely populated countries in Europe with 29 people per one square mile. The estimated population in 2007 was 1.3 million. From approximately the first to fifth centuries AD, resident farming was established and the population grew. A more troubled and war-ridden middle Iron Age followed with dangers coming both from the Baltic tribes and from overseas. Several Scandinavian sagas refer to Estonian pirates. During the wars under foreign rule, the number of Estonians diminished. At one point the population in the whole country was only half a million. Although wars devastated the country, it recovered quickly and its people with it. Under Soviet rule in the 20 th century, many Estonians, Lithuanians and Latvians were deported to the coldest parts of Siberia. Hundreds of thousands of migrants were relocated to Estonia from other parts of the Soviet Union to conduct industrialization and militarization,

Estonians and their habits

Estonians and their habits There are hundreds of different countries and nationalities in the world and each one is peculiar in its own way. For example, Italians are very impulsive. French people don't like the British. Germans are pedantic. Russians are generous, but lazy. What about Estonians? In Estonia when a stranger on a street smiles at you, you can assume that: he is either drunk, insane, from another country or all of the above. Estonians don't smile too often. Estonians are not very talkative either. In Estonian schools teachers have stopped asking their students "Are there any questions?" It is especially hard to keep a conversation flowing with an Estonian when you don't know each other very well. I tried to make a conversation with an Estonian classmate of mine once (whom I didn't know very well) and it sounded like that: Me: So... what did you do during your holidays

"Estonia"

The biggest island is Saaremaa where you can admire the beauty of Kuressaare Castle and Kaali meteorite crater. The flag of Estonia is really simple but beautiful. There are only 3 colours blue, black and white. The national flower is the cornflower and the national stone is limestone. In Estonian coat of arms there are 3 lions. The national anthem is ,,My Fatherland, my Delight and Joy". The melody of our national anthem is the same that of the national anthem of Finland. Estonians hold up their traditions. My country is famous for its Song and Dance festivals which are held in every 4 years. At Christmas, every year we eat the same Christmas food the blood sausage and sauerkraut. The national food of Estonia is kama. It is finely milled flour mixture. In addition, Estonians have also invented Skype. The climate in Estonia is temperate. We are lucky to have 4 seasons. In winter, the minimum temperature is -43,5°C and in summer the maximum temperature is +35,2°C
