Relaying my own experience is easy: I had a standard classroom approach, supplemented by inordinate reading. In only the briefest and least memorable instances did I receive any individual tutoring. As well as restricting where the colour will be exhibited, it tends to "bleach out" the colour to a greater or lesser degree depending on the type of colour restriction. It may seem odd to think of these as solid colour cats, but genetically they are; they have just had a "special effect" overlaid on them. There are three colour-restriction patterns: In the Siamese (Himalayan) pattern, there is maximum contrast between the points and the body colour. In the Burmese, there is the least contrast but just enough to be able to see that the cat is not a single solid colour. In the "Mink" Tonkinese, the effect is moderate. The self colours may have different names in these cats. Alternatively a colour which appears identical to one of the solid colours may be genetically different because of the mild to moderate bleaching effect. A seal-point Siamese may appear to be brown, but genetically it is black!

The spirituality and pithiness of music opening up in the course of time pronounce the last word on either the value or worthlessness of any musical composition. I am writing about Estonian symphonists and symphonism. What do I mean by this term? For example, one can speak of the symphonism of Eduard Tubin, Artur Kapp and Arvo Pärt. In its best and exact sense symphonism means the creation of a sublime philosophical idea in music in an intense extensive and developing form. Symphonism

Isacenko left Bratislava for Olomouc, the department already had ten full-time teachers. Russian studies continued developing in the second half of the 1950s and in the 1960s when Prof. A. V. Isacenko was replaced first by Assoc. Prof. . urovic (1955-1959) and then by Assoc. Prof. J. Kopanicák (1959-1970). The political turnaround in 1989, of course, also had impact on the evolution of Russian studies as an academic discipline. The department found itself in a peculiar situation.
