began on March 20, 2003, with the invasion of Iraq by a multinational force, led by troops from the United States under the administration of President George W. Bush and the United Kingdom under the Prime Minister Tony Blair. Prior to the invasion, the governments of the United States and the United Kingdom declared that the possibility of Iraq employing weapons of mass destruction (WMD) threatened their security and their coalition/regional allies. Many people, including former U.S. President Bill Clinton were against the invasion. Visiting the UK, Clinton said: "As a pre- emptive action today, however well-justified, may come back with unwelcome consequences in the future. I don't care how precise your bombs and your weapons are, when you set them off, innocent people will die." led by Prime Minister Jüri Ratas. The government consists of the prime minister and 14 ministers. Before the change, there was an enormous crisis in the main Party, Reform Party. They were arguing a lot and the previous leader Taavi Rõivas did not control the Party and also he could not control the government. That is the reason why Taavi Rõivas was forced to resign from the government and he stepped down as the chairman of the party. The new government left the Reform Party opposition of coalition. The new government turned new page, but ministers are quite the same and there has always been lying in the government. I think there would not be much changes, because people do not change. Changing the government so frequently shows that our politicians and ministers are not strong enough to handle so many crisis. It is sad, that our lives depend, one way or another, of what our country’s government does and decides.

At present, the youngsters spend most of their free time staring at computer screen or just loitering outside without any particular purpose. They do not watch news or read newspapers. And it is bad to see that very few of them know what is the situation is Estonia or who are the ministers of our government or which parties form the coalition in the parliament. It gets much worse. Cartier used Canada to refer not only to Stadacona, but also to the entire area subject to Donnacona, Chief at Stadacona; by 1547, maps began referring to this and the surrounding area as Canada. In 1864 and 1866, British North American politicians, in what became known as the Great Coalition, held three conferences to create a federal union. Spearheaded by John A. The term "Canadian Confederation" refers to this 1867 unification of the provinces of Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Quebec (formerly Canada East or Lower Canada), and Ontario (formerly Canada West or Upper Canada).

Members are not called by their name, but by the name of the constituency from which they have been elected ( or, if they are government ministers, by their function) . Since 1902 , the British Prime Minister has always been a serving Member of Parliament, elected to the House of Commons; and most ministers - often all ministers - are members of the House of Commons too. The Government is formed by the party (or as currently, by the coalition of parties) that has a majority of seats in the House of Commons. Members of the Government sit in the front row of benches in the House of Commons (called the Front Bench ), directly opposite the leaders of the Opposition . The chairman of the House of Commons is known as the "Speaker", and he or she presides over each parliamentary session, deciding who can speak. A significant aspect of the House of Commons is the importance given to the Parliamentary Opposition

Compare the political systems of the UK and Estonia. Bring out some similarities and differences. Both countries are actually ruled by the parliament, not the Queen or the president. They have been reduced to representatives for the nations. Both have two parts in the parliament: coalition and opposition. Estonia has 101 members in the parliament, UK has over 600. 22. Why is the eldest son of the British monarch called the Prince of Wales? Since Edward I it has been a custom to name the first born son the Prince of Wales, because of the way they merged Wales into England. 23. What has caused the situation that Ireland today is divided into two parts? It's mostly religious, as Ireland is catholic and Northern Ireland has been forced over time to become protestant

Regarding Ngo Dinh Diem, the Roman Catholic President of South Vietnam, as insufficiently anti-Communist, the U.S. gave secret assurances of non-interference for an impending coup d'état. On November 1, 1963, South Vietnamese generals overthrew the Diem government, arresting and soon killing Diem (though the circumstances of his death were obfuscated). Kennedy sanctioned Diem's overthrow. One reason to support the coup was a fear that Diem might negotiate a neutralist coalition government which included Communists, as had occurred in Laos in 1962. Dean Rusk, Secretary of State, remarked "This kind of neutralism...is tantamount to surrender.During his time in office, Kennedy increased the number of U.S. military in Vietnam from 800 to 16,300. It remains a point of some controversy among historians whether or not Vietnam would have escalated to the point it did had Kennedy served out his full term and been re-elected in 1964. It was a period of great social unrest and mistrust between various classes. Unemployment was high, wages low and there were numerous strikes by all the unions in an unsuccessful attempt to stop the owners of the coal mines cutting miners' wages. The great Depression of the 1930s actually began with the collapse of American financial markets in 1929. Over three million people out of workforce of 14 million were unemployed. The formation of a National Coalition Government, including Conservative leaders and former Labour Party leaders, proved to be no solution. The next monarch was Edward VIII. He was deeply in love with Mrs Wallis Simpson, an American divorcee, whom he could not marry because Britain's sovereign was the titular Head of the Church of England, which did not sanction remarriage of divorced persons. Finally Edward chose love over duty and his brother Albert was declared King George VI.

000484 Tallinn 2004 2 PREFACE The Board of Directors of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) is pleased to release the 2002 Sustainability Reporting Guidelines. From an institutional perspective, it marks the beginning of the cycle of release, testing, review, and revision under GRIs new governance structure. The GRI was launched in 1997 as a joint initiative of the U.S. non-governmental organisation Coalition for Environmentally Responsible Economies (CERES) and United Nations Environment Programme with the goal of enhancing the quality, rigor, and utility of sustainability reporting. The first set of GRI Sustainability Reporting Guidelines appeared as an Exposure Draft in 1999. Following testing and public comment, the GRI released the June 2000 Guidelines. The 2002 Guidelines represent the GRI Boards view of a consensus on a reporting framework

the principal, go on to develop a Statement of Values that helps all-faculty, administrative staff, and students-model behaviors reflective of inclusiveness and a Statement of Mission that depicts the school's purpose for existence, both of which they can take ownership. Why does a school need all three statements, addressing vision, values and mission? Lewis Coser gives the rationale for this. Coser declares: "The greater the structural or cultural diversity of those who unite in a coalition, the more their interests other than in the immediate purpose are likely to be divergent if not antagonistic." The value of this statement will be seen immediately by anyone who has been involved in a multicultural environment. Groups differ in their interests. When the differences are due cultural/racial diversity, the greater will be the potential for antagonism within the group. A homogeneous group, in terms of race and class, is a potentially less conflictual group than a heterogeneous one
