Hazardous waste comes from factories that produce stuff that we really don`t need. We use private cars just to go to the supermarket but we could just take the buss or walk wich is much more environment friendly. The one that we do the most is leaving rubbish around that doesn`t turn into compost. We should save energy by just turning off the electic appliances when we don`t use them. When going to the store we should bring our own canvas bags or just reuse old plastic bags. Reducing the damage to the environment would help our plants and animals from dying out and not to make any acid rains. Lots of people don`t take this stuff seriously and make wrong decisions in their everyday life. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1IA0iCRB5q_YX44RM8BK40-NnN0UZBes9uzsvyJwFwCw/edit 1/1

For example: instead of paper cups and plates use ordinary plates. Reuse- Use thing that you have already got or give them to people who need those things. For example: glothes, use newspaper as a wrapping paper. Recycle- recycle thing. It does not take too long and it makes so much differencs Saving energy and your money Save electricity - people use a lot of electricity only because they forget or leave electrical appliances on. How: unplug everything that you do not use and do not forget to turn the light off Save water - Wasting water wastes electricity wich wastes energy. How: repair all leaky water mechanisms and if possible take shorter showers Saving energy and your money Save gasoline- It takes a lot of energy to operate a car. How: use other healthier alternatives like bicyclel or walking, but even using public transport helps reduce gasoline usage

Developments in the iron industry also played a central role in the Industrial Revolution. In the early 18th century, Englishman Abraham Darby (1678-1717) discovered a cheaper, easier method to produce cast iron, using a coke-fueled (as opposed to charcoal-fired) furnace. In the 1850s, British engineer Henry Bessemer (1813-1898) developed the first inexpensive process for mass-producing steel. Both iron and steel became essential materials, used to make everything from appliances, tools and machines, to ships, buildings and infrastructure. The steam engine was also integral to industrialization. In 1712, Englishman Thomas Newcomen (1664-1729) developed the first practical steam engine (which was used primarily to pump water out of mines). By the 1770s, Scottish inventor James Watt (1736-1819) had improved on Newcomen's work, and the steam engine went on to power machinery, locomotives and ships during the Industrial Revolution. Hydroelectric energy is the oldest and largest source. Renewable energy a.k.a "green" energy. Thank you for listening! We use energy every day. It surrounds us in different forms, such as light, heat, and electricity. Our bodies use the energy stored in molecules of substances like carbohydrates and protein to move, breathe, grow, and think. We also use energy to do work and to play. Humans have invented thousands of machines and appliances that use energy to make our work easier, to heat our homes, and to get ourselves from place to place. Some of these machines use electricity, while others, like automobiles, use the energy stored in substances such as gasoline. Renewable energy is energy generated from natural resources such as sunlight, wind, rain, tides, and geothermal heat, which are renewable. Renewable energy uses natural resources that can be replaced or "renewed" without harming the

HOUSEHOLD APPLIANCES The technologies that created the 20th century's laboursaving household appliances were born due to electrification, which brought light and power into the home. Then two major engineering innovations, heat resistance and small, efficient motors, led to electric stoves and irons, vacuum cleaners, washers, dryers, and dishwashers. In the second half of the century advances in electronics yielded appliances that

Let's face it you're a robot! Technology to millennials is different from what any other generation has seen it as. We don't like to list microwaves, radiators or anything like that as a part of it. The world of technology has grown so fat these couple of year that we don't consider a regrigirator to be more than a basic need. Even radios and televisions are starting to fall into that category of regular appliances every household has to have. Generation Y has a whole new list of technology which nowadays includes a phone, a computer, gaming consoles, a televison, and basically anything you can control without ever having to get up or even leave our rooms. When's the last time someone asked you about something neither of you knew about and you didn't take your phone out to 'google' it? Now think about how many times you've tried to figure out the answer yourself
cooling, cleaning, preparing food, transportation, and communication devices. They discovered that the amount of energy used for any purpose could be measured in different ways. Light bulbs are measured in watts. Air conditioners and hot water heaters are measured in BTUs, while energy used by cars is measured in gallons of fuel. They used a spreadsheet to figure out how much energy they consumed for each of their activities. Each of the lights, car miles, games, and other appliances was converted to a common unit of power consumption called kilowatt-hours. The spreadsheet was used to determine how many kilowatt-hours were used during each day, each week, and each year for each energy consumption activity. The spreadsheet converted their energy consumption to show them the amount of money it costs for each energy consumption activity. In the end, they were shocked to see how much money Jules' energy using habits cost compared to Les' habits. USES OF ENERGY

To exemplify the principle of the linkage of the present with past, Dewey (1938) uses the example of natural science because contemporary social life is how we know it because of the application and results of physical science. He affirms that it is a sound educational principle that educators should introduce learners to scientific subject matter and its facts and laws through the familiarity with everyday social applications such as the use of appliances that utilize electricity, heat, and light. Dewey (1938) explains: The scientific method is the only authentic means at our command for getting at the significance of our everyday experiences of the world in which we live. It means that scientific method provides a working pattern of the way in which and the conditions under which experiences are used to lead ever onward and outward. . . .

and the Internet. Britain and America invented a lot of the technology used by the various modern communications media. In 1829, the typewriter was invented in America. In 1837, the telegraph was invented in Britain. In 18 76, Alexander Graham Bell invented the telephone in America. This made it possible to talk to people thousands of miles away. The telephone is a telecommunications device, which is used to transmit and receive sound. It's one of the most common household appliances in the world today. The English-speaking peoples have always allowed more freedom of speech and of the press than most other countries. This gave them an advantage from the start in communications. Book-publishing grew rapidly in early modern England and America. So did newspapers, which were the first kind of mass media. A newspaper is a written publication containing news, information and advertising, usually printed on low-cost paper called newsprint

Another thing is that in schools, in classes generally students are not allowed to use their appliances, so it means they have to communicate verbally as well. I think that teachers should be creative to blend so-called digital learning/teaching

The aim of this research work was to explain the nature of domestic water consumption and to find opportunities to use it reasonably. The hypothesis was set according to the topic, that using water economically can reduce water usage for 25%. In addition were set following research questions: 1. How to save water in a household? 2. What takes the most water in home? 3. How much water different activities take in home? 4. How big is the water consumption by household appliances? During the experiment data was collected about average water usage in household and sustainable water usage. The most ordinary hydrometric equipment was used. Later the data was compared to find out the size of the saving. According to the analysis of the research the hypothesis justifies itself. The research revealed that water saving can be large and the size of the saving depends on effort that people are willing to make. In reality with proper operation water usage can be much smaller
