I Am an Animal Person In the world there are so many different people. Some people like and some do not like animals. But what makes an animal likeable and what is the reason why some people can not have an animal? Firstly, the biggest plus what animals can give is love. Every animal it does not matter how big or small he/she is, loves his/her host with all of his heart and he/she does not care how rich or famous you are. For example, puppies do so much trouble when they are young, but they show love every single day, sometimes they have to lick only your cheek to make you feel good. Secondly, one fateful thing about having an animal is that people do not have any time for them. Some people travel a lot and they can not afford to keep an animal. And even if you do not travel much and you want an animal, you have to have time for them. Lastly, some people are allergetic for animals hair, so th...
Read the following description I am from Seattle, Washington. Seattle is a city in the United States. It is near the border of Canada in the northwest corner of the USA. I live in a town called Olympia which is on the Puget Sound. I live in a house in a street in the countryside. The street is called "Bear Street" and the house is old - more than 100 years old! I am an English teacher at a school in the center of the town. I like books and taking photographs. I usually have lunch at school. I usually go home by car. We have all kinds of food in Olympia. I like Italian food very much. Sometimes, I go to an Italian restaurant in Seattle. The restaurant is called "Luigi's". Italian food is great! Here are the rules for when to use "A, An or The": · a = indefinite article (not a specific object, one of a number of the same objects) with consonants She has a dog. I work in a factory. · an = indefinite arti...
If I were an English teacher Being a teacher is not an easy task. Teachers have many problems with students who does not know how to behave. Some of them even make fun of teachers and I find this kind of behaviour disturbing, because it is not fair that urchins have more fun in school than decent students have. Yes, teachers can throw the rebels out or punish them in other ways, but that usually agitates the students against the teacher. Firstly, I would like to say that if I were an English teacher I would variegate the classes with subjects, which students would actually find interesting. I would find it exciting to let them think and explore more about politics, social issues, world news and of course other subjects that they really find interesting to speak about. I believe these subjects need also considering because the majority of youth actually has no idea or interest who represents...
Am I an optimist or pessimist We live a hard life, we need to deal with many problems. And everyone looks at these problems in there own way. Some of the people are optimistic and the others are not. But is my glass half-full or half-empty? To answer this question I have to weigh all the pros and cons. For example, sometimes in hard situations I just give up, because I just can no longer force this. But I still know, that somewhere deep in my heart there is hope that everything will be alright. That is why I can proudly call myself an optimistic person! And I want to give you good advice! Even on those days when nothing in your life seems to be going right, it can be really tough to see the silver lining among all those clouds. But ability to see the good in even the worst situations is so important. Try to be more optimistic and you will see-life is not that bad! The world is beautiful! I hope that my essay will help to se...
Description of an Interesting Person I Have Met It was early morning in Finland when I had just waked up. I was very tired, and I decided to go to the beach and just lie on the hot sand and sunbathe. When I creamed myself somebody bumped into me and that was him. He was chasing volleyball and after he had bumped into me he apologized and asked me to play volleyball with his friends and I agreed. He wore chequered shorts and his upper body was naked. He was very handsome, because he was about 180cm long, muscular and strong physiognomy. He had wavy nose, blonde stylish hair, thick lips, bright colour brows and deep blue eyes. He was very friendly .I laughed most of the time with him, because he known a lot of anecdotes and he had done so much funny things in his life. I am very surprised about the way he looked and the way he acted, because everything was so great.
I am buying myself an apartment I would like to buy a apartment – I am 25 years old and I have some saving, actually – a lots of savings. I have saved a lot of money to buy my dream apartment in Tallinn. What kind of apartment would I like to buy? The apartment has to be in the downtown, it would be perfect, if it is located in Tallinn’s old town. The apartment should definitely have excellent view to the old town, it should be large and wide. I would love, when the apartment is in old house and if it is renovated, but still has some vintage style. The most important thing is that the apartment has to have two or more floors. Good dream, huh? In fact, in old town, there is an apartment that fits to my requirements – apartments like that are expensive and I have to get a loan. I decided that I will take the loan from Swedbank, SEB or LHV, because they offer a loan, that has better conditi...
My childhood story Whenever I think about my childhood, one story comes to my mind. A story I am proud of. It’s about how I helped my one year older brother when he got stung by a bee. It’s not just an ordinary story because my brother, back then, was allergic to bees. And because of that I may have saved his life. It all began on a sunny summer day at my grandfather’s country home. We had a dog back then and he had his own fenced garden with a doghouse in it. Me and my brother were just fooling around outside doing funny stuff. At some point he decided to go let the dog out. The poles that were holding the fence up were holo inside and the bees thought that it was a great place to make a hive in. I can’t remeber why, but my brother for some reason leaned over the fence pole and looked into it. That’s when my brother got stung near to his eyes. He immediately yelled at me that he can’t see and wanted my ...
Summary I made my presentation about infotechnology usage in motorsport. I chose this topic because I am an infotechnology student and also I have been rally driver since 2009. I believed this could be interesting topic for others to hear because you can’t really find much information about the technologies used in different motorsport disciplines from the Internet but you can learn about them usually when somebody tells you about those technologies. Because I’m a rally driver and I know most about rallying I focused on rally and in addition talked little bit about Formula One and also about simulators. Most of the information I used to make this presentation was based on my personal experience. In addition, I found some interesting technologies which are used in Formula One from the Internet. Most interesting hi-tech solutions used in rally are in my opinion ride height control with GPS and launch...
Mari Baker ,,Building an organization, building a team" Loengu pidamise ajal oli Mari Baker vähem kui kuu aega tagasi saanud PlayFirsti tegevdirektoriks.

Illmatic album review Ervin Sagor Nasir ''NaS'' Jones recorded his first album called Illmatic in 1994. The album was slept on and had lack of sales. Upon its release, the album debuted at number 12 on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart, selling 59,000 copies in its first week. However, its initial sales fell below expectations and its five singles called "Halftime", "It Ain't Hard to Tell", "The World Is Yours", "Life's a B***h" and "One Love" failed to achieve significant chart success. There are ten songs on the album. Producers of the album are such legends as DJ Premier, Large Professor, L.E.S., MC Serch, Pete Rock and Q-Tip. I think this is one of the best rap albums of all time. NaS's lyrics are incredible and beats are fantastic. I cannot decide what my favourite song on the album is because every track is unique in its own way. Thru NaS's career his rhymes have all ...

This speech seemed interesting to me, because the gender wage gap what she is aiming to is also actual in Estonia. The gender wage gap is a subject that affects somehow all of us. Gender wage gap figure has publicly launched a couple discussions on fair treatment of women and men, and gender balance issues. Casey Brown has some really good tips that we could use to help us. 4. slaid fear and doubts The main point of Casey's speech is that: No one will ever pa...

Here in Estonia with our history of domination by foreign powers the last being the former soviet union an having our own language suppressed an languages imposed on us , it is a relief to see the importance of the English language an people have embraced it as a second language of Estonian people, it is the language that ev...

Mait Rõõmus Mr. Savala English 4 26 September 2013 Prompt #5 We all have felt good about donating something. It gives us inner peace, satisfaction, and an overall benevolent feeling. Donating money, clothes or "yourself" by volunteering does not require us to do the impossible we do that which is quite possible. A few weeks ago, I went through my friend's wallet and found an organ donor card. It really made me think. Would I be willing to donate an organ to help someone or to receive an organ from someone I do not know if I needed it? This whole idea makes me stop and think. Health issues are very common nowadays and luckily, medical science has advanced so much that nearly everything is curable. In addition to good medical science, organ transplants have improved too. You can replace almost everything from your body. But when all of these great advances come down...

Being an exchange student a useful experience or a waste of time? I have always wanted to be an exchange student. I think that it would be a nice variety to the everyday life. In my opinion being an exchange student is a useful experience, but it also has some negative sides. Firstly there are some arguments that support being an exchange student. If a person has to manage in a totally new environment for a whole year, he or she gets a lot of experience for life away from parents. Exchange year also gives a great language practice. No matter which country an Estonian chooses, it would have a different mother language than we have. Secondly there are soma arguments that do not support being an exchange student. If a person has hard time managing with his or her new life, it could leave a negative view to entire trip. It can also happen, if the person gets homesick and just cannot enjoy the exchange year. I would definitely...

What is the real meaning of life? Why prefer one thing to another? Can we trust observation? It’s raining outside - how do you know it is? I can see it’s raining. How to convince yourself its raining? A good reason to doubt - 49 other peaople have the same opinion. The most important technological invention In my mind, the most important technological invention is the jet airliner, the Boeing 707- 120, which was invented in 1958. I concidered different inventions but thought, that the ability to move from one point to another in an innoventional and extremely quick way is worth the title. The four engine plane can carry up to 181 passengers and cruise at 600 mph for 5280 miles on a full tank. This has made continetial travelling extremely comfortable, as voyages that formerly took a couple of weeks can now be passed with only 1 day or even less. The first jet flight took off from New York and landed in Paris, soon after that there was a connection between Los Angeles and New York. I can only assume that the tickets had to cost a fortune in the beginning, but the time spared was and is still worth it, as the plane tickets do not even cost so much nowadays, it is perhaps the cheapest and the fast...

Life in Estonia through the eyes of an economics student I have been studying economics for a few months now and I would not say that my point of view on life in Estonia has changed. There are some things I recently started to look on differently but I am not sure is it because of TUT or not. Through my entire life I have seen Estonia as a strong and fast growing country which is also a fact because Estonian economy was one of the fastest growing in the world until 2006 with growth rates even exceeding 10% annually. I find it being quite impressive. There are some fields which Estonia can fill with supplies by itself. We are nearly energy independent country, supplying over 90% of our electricity need with locally mined oil shale. Estonia has also an alternative energy sources such as wood and peat. I could call myself earth friendly because I love walking around the forest and breading some fresh air but I do not li...

If I were a millionaire, I could own all those things I have not had in my life before. First, if I were the lucky one, who would have a chance to be a millionaire, there would be millions of ways how to spend it. As to the point that my family has been the most precious fortune for me, I would give at least one third of that to my loved ones. I think that this would be a clever action. Second, if I would have the chance then I would purchase all these things I have wanted in my entire life. I would definitely buy an enormous but cozy house where I could finally make my dream come true - have as many pets as I want! I have wanted to own as many pets as possible since I was a little girl, so it would be my...

A door just opened Emily Dickinson A door just opened on a street-- I, lost, was passing by-- An instant's width of warmth disclosed And wealth, and company. The door as sudden shut, and I, I, lost, was passing by,-- Lost doubly, but by contrast most, Enlightening misery. Emily Dickinson Emily Elizabeth Dickinson (December 10, 1830 May 15, 1886) was an American poet. Born in Amherst, Massachusetts, to a successful family with strong community ties, she lived a mostly introverted and reclusive life. Emily Dickinson, regarded as one of America's greatest poets, is also well known for her unusual life of self imposed social seclusion. Living a life of simplicity and seclusion, she yet wrote poetry of great power; questioning the nature of immortality and death, with at times an almost mantric quality. Her different lifestyle created an aura; often romanticised, and frequently a source of interest and specula...
Speech: Ideas are our greatest weapons Hello class and classmates, I would like to open up my speech with a quote that I find really amazing: „The pen is mightier than the sword”. Sadly I don't know whose it is, but it means, that not every war has to be fought with swords and weapons, coming up with an idea about something that isn't violent might be a lot easier way to conquer in life. I think that all of you know that every tool, weapon, Everything that surrounds us, has started with an idea. That shouldn't be new for you. Some people might find it hard to believe, but even the most common things- like chairs, walls, even a pack of bread has been an idea once. Someone had probably felt that his or her legs got tired and sitting on floor might not be so comfortable, so one chose to invent a chair. Think of it- even floor, where people used to sit before chairs were invented is certainly someone's idea and invention. Isn't it strange...
Mait Rõõmus Mr. Savala English 4 26 September 2013 Prompt #3 We all have to make a decision about what to do with our lives after graduating from high school. Many people start to think about it in their early years. Some of us struggle with it even after graduating. Lucky are those who have had a specific goal in mind for long enough where they can keep an eye on the target and know what they need to do and work on it right away. Aviation has always been one of my biggest intrests since the eighth grade. I became interested in it after my brother had applied to the Estonian Aviation Academy. Unfortunately he did not make it and, of course, my desire to become an air traffic controller began to increase due to my brother's failure. I have never really had a real experience in aviation. Luckily, I had a chance to be a work shadow to a professional air traffic contr...

Online music magazines Making Music report: More playing, but progression is limited and class remains an issue Article by Alex Stevens This article taks about the playing of instruments among the children of UK. Based on the learner-teacher surveys made in 1993, 1996 and 1996 the playing of music instruments among children has increased by 35% since 1999 a new study has found, although issues of access, progression and class remain. More children aged 5-14 say that the 'know how to play' an instrument than in 1999. This suggests that programmes such as Wilder Opportunities have had an effect on the breadth of music-making in the UK. However the aricle suggests that there are still barriers like financial opportunities – the cost of instruments and lessons, then of course the lack of parental support and students not being interested. Of children that...

Book Report Graham Greene ,, Our Man in Havana" Liis Mägi, 12c I chose a book by Graham Greene titled ,,Our man in Havana". The reason why I decided to read exactly this book was that I found the plot introductory quite interesting and as I started reading I realised I was right. I found it quite humorous book, written in the third person and set in Havana, Cuba. The story is quite easy to follow. The novel was written right before the American embargo and the Cuba missile crisis of the 1960's, so the author was quite surely influenced by the political events at that time and created his own vision of the future. The main character of this book is Jim Wormlod, who is a vacuum cleaner salesman, but is offered a job in the British secret service by Hawthorne. He has to spy on Cuba for England. Jim lives with his daughter Milly, because his wife had left them for another man. Milly is quite demanding, having many wishes and because eb...
