War on Terror The War on Terror is an international military campaign led by the United States and the United Kingdom with the support of other NATO and non-NATO countries. Officially, the War on Terror label has not been used since Barack Obama came to office in 2009, but the war in Afghanistan continues. The campaign was launched in 2001 with the US/UK invasion of Afghanistan in response to the September 11 attacks. Since then, other operations have commenced, the largest being the War in Iraq, beginning with a 2003 invasion. Originally, it was waged against al-Qaeda and other terrorist organizations with the purpose of eliminating them. The phrase War on Terror was first used by former US President George W. Bush and other high-ranking US officials to denote a global military, political, legal and
wars. 3. The Bible put humans to believe that we all are Childs of Adam and Eve but in fact humans evolved from apes and the truth helped the science to find the real origin of people. 4. Many people say that they have seen UFO-s but most of us do not believe them and the truth of alien existence may hide behind area 51 who have hidden many facts and proofs of UFO-s. 5. The war in Afghanistan is pointless but Americans don't want to see the truth that Russians lost the war against them after 9 years of fighting and it would be hard to win the war if Afghanistan belief is so strong for their god that they won't surrender before every single Afghanistan is dead. The Truth has Helped to make the world like we know it, Science has invented a lot of different things for example

Wind power is very old power source, sailing ships have been using wind power for at least 5,500 years. The first practical windmills were built in Afghanistan, from the 7th century to grind corn and draw up water. The first windmill for electricity production was built in Scotland in 1887 to power the lighting in the cottage, thus making it the first house in the world to have its electricity supplied by wind power. During the Second World War, small wind generators were to recharge submarine batteries. In the 1990s, wind power became more important, because fossil fuels pollute the atmosphere and humanity needed alternative fuels

It is the land of snow clad mountains that shares a common boundary with Afghanistan, China and Pakistan. Jammu and Kashmir is the northernmost state of the Indian Union. Known for its extravagant natural beauty this land formed a major caravan route in ancient times.
terrorism. This is probably due to the fact that most terrorist attacks have targeted them. The most memorable are the attacks on World Trade Center in New York and the bomb attacks in the London subway. The terrorist attacks on these mentioned and numerous other targets gave Estonia an opportunity to ease the emotional depth that we have in front of both United Kingdom and the United States. Estonia joined the fight against terrorism in 2002 in the US-led Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan. Since 2003, Estonia has participated in the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF - International Security Assistance Force in Afghanistan), which has since become NATO's most important mission. In June 2003, Estonia deployed a light infantry platoon ESTPLA to 7 operation Iraqi Freedom at the request of the Iraqi interim government. This mission has continued until today. Estonia has lost 2 soldiers in action in Iraq.

very unfavorable. Homosexuality is discriminated against everywhere: in at least 80 countries, homosexual acts are forbidden by law (Algeria, Senegal, Cameroon, Ethiopia, Lebanon, Jordan, Kuwait, Puerto Rico, Nicaragua, Bosnia...); in many countries, the punishment can exceed ten years in prison (Nigeria, Libya, Syria, India, Malaysia, Jamaica...); sometimes, the law prescribes life imprisonment (Guyana, Uganda). And in a dozen countries, capital punishment may be actually carried out (Afghanistan, Iran, Saudi Arabia...). In Africa, recently, several presidents have brutally acted on their will to combat personally this "scourge" which they consider "anti-African". Even in other countries where homosexuality is not considered a crime, persecutions have multiplied. In Brazil, for example, death squads and skin heads spread terror: 1,960 homophobic murders have been officially reported between 1980 and 2000. In these conditions, it is difficult to think that "tolerance" is gaining ground

Of all the tigers known to the world, the Caspian tiger was the third largest. The body of this subspecies was quite stocky with strong legs, big wide paws and unusually large claws. The ears were short and small. Around the cheeks the Caspian tiger was generously furred and the rest of its fur was long and thick. The colouration resembled that of the Bengal tiger

However, by the early 1900s the German threat increased dramatically. Some in Britain thought it was in need of allies. For most of the 19th century, Britain had regarded France and Russia as its two most dangerous rivals, but with the growing threat of Germany, British policy began to change. In 1907, the Anglo-Russian Entente was agreed, which attempted to resolve a series of long-running disputes over Persia, Afghanistan and Tibet, as well as helping to address British fears about German expansion in the Near East. And so the "splendid isolation" ended. Impact of WWI Variously throughout the war, serious shortage of able-bodied men ("manpower") occurred in the country, and women were required to take on many of the traditional male roles, particularly in the area of arms manufacture; though this was only significant in the later years of the war, since unemployed men were often prioritised by employers

have assumed prominence. The 20th century saw the creation of many new Islamic "revivalist" movements. Groups such as the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt and JamaateIslami in Pakistan advocate a totalistic and theocratic alternative to secular political ideologies. Sometimes called Islamist, they see Western cultural values as a threat, and promote Islam as a comprehensive solution to every public and private question of importance. In countries like Iran and Afghanistan (under the Taliban), revolutionary movements replaced secular regimes with Islamist states, while transnational groups like Osama bin Laden's alQaeda engage in terrorism to further their goals. In contrast, Liberal Islam is a movement that attempts to reconcile religious tradition with modern norms of secular governance and human rights. Its supporters say that there are multiple ways to read Islam's sacred texts, and stress the need to leave room for

itself varies from the flowing coat of the modern Persian to the semi-long coat of Turkish breeds. Semi-longhaired variants in normally short-haired breeds are generally blamed on recessive genes, but could be due to more recent mutations. The first longhairs recognised by the western cat fancies were Angoras and Persians whose histories are intertwined. The Persian group is defined as all varieties developed from cats imported from Turkey, Persia (now Iran), Afghanistan and Russia at the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries. Brian Vesey-Fitzgerald "Cats" (1958) mentioned the belief, held by some, that a female Black Persian was imported direct from the Shah of Persia himself. EARLY LONGHAIRED CATS: ANGORAS AND PERSIANS Longhaired cats were first seen in Europe in the 1500s, first in Italy (1521) and then in France. They were named after the Turkish city of Angora (Ankhara). The first documented
national identity. We still believe we are a nation of white Protestants, despite massive evidence to the contrary, and our politicians have to avow their Christianity to be creditable. Our leaders invoke divine guidance when they dispatch troops, and we quarrel endlessly over the contents of American history texts. Moreover the rest of the world continues to fling our values back at us: in 2006 Iranian President Mahmound Ahmadinejad asked President Bush how it was possible to bomb Afghanistan and still profess "to be a follower of Jesus Christ...feel obliged to respect human rights, [and] present liberalism as a civilization model." Twain called the PhilippineAmerican War "a quagmire from which each fresh step renders the difficulty of extrication immensely greater," adding, "I wish I could see what we are getting out of it, and all it means to us as a nation." We've been stuck in a lot of quagmires since 1900
americans in Vietnam also make similar mistakes (beat a prisoner, treat civilians harshly). Incident were there was a suspicion that there is a headquarter in a village, there wasn't and the americans still killed most of the people and destroyed the village War criminalrs punished by the state itself, international organizations only if the state doesn't want to. Legal order is not a defence. Always good to ask for a written order, although it's not a defence. Afghanistan example: between two mountains a village and some gun fighters there. So the Russians used the hammer technique they ambushed them from both side, but one group wasn't able to push further as the gun fighters were strong in defence. The colonel said to open fire, but the guy who was supposed to do the orders asked a written one. Colonel refused and the leitnant did not open fire. War crimes don't have statutory limitations!!!!!
handle their lives better by giving them the information they need about the world around them.`56 With citizenship education in mind, the Newsround actively encourages children to critically engage with a wide array of issues of public interest. Cynthia Carter and Stuart Allan in their research of Public Service and the Market: A Case Study of the BBC Newsround Website recognised that children have a strong interest in events taking place around them.
