Standards for different uses vary. E. Forage(söök, toitu hankima, tuhnima): Sunflower can also be used as a silage crop. It can be used as a double crop after early harvested small grains or vegetables, an emergency crop, or in areas with a season too short to produce mature corn for silage. Forage yields of sunflower are generally less than corn when a full growing season is available. In one study, sunflower dry matter yields ranged from 2.0 to 3.0 ton/acre compared with 3.1 to 3.8 ton/acre for corn. Moisture content of sunflower at maturity is usually high (80 to 90%) and would require wilting before ensiling. Nutritional quality of sunflower silage is often higher than corn but lower than alfalfa hay (Table 1). Crude protein level of sunflower silage is similar to grass hay and higher than corn silage. Generally, crude protein of sunflower decreases and lignin percentage increases after the flowering stage. High plant populations increases fiber and lignin percentage

Irish Potato Famine During the 19th century, 2/3 of the Irish people lived in very poor conditions under the British rule they had to work for upper-class English landlords, who never set foot in Ireland. The work was to raise crop for a tiny piece of land (most of tenants had less than an acre) where they could grow food (potatoes) for their own families. Potatoes were grown because they have all the necessary vitamins in them and only the potatoes would suffice to feed a family when grown on such tiny holdings. In 1845 a fungus, called Phytophthora infestans (commonly known as potato blight) attacked the potato crop and destroyed half of it. Yet, this was not a catastrophe and people would pray for the next years' crop to be a proper one but it was even worse and

everlasting enterprise. Primitive and modern economies A simple economy In this economy there is no money and therefore there are two choices open to the household sector upon receipt of the goods and services: consumption or investment. For instance: a worker takes payment in the form of a plough so that in the future years when he enters the business sector he can produce more food per acre. The introduction of money In order to simplify the exchange of goods and services between different households, a tool is needed, into which all products can be converted. That tool should be small and portable, it would have to hold its value over a long period of time and have general acceptability. The introduction of money into the system creates monetary as well as real flows of goods and services. Investment in a money economy

Melbourne today is a major centre of commerce, industry and the arts. Often referred to as the "sporting capital of Australia" the city has a rich sporting history and is home to most of Australia's major annual sporting events. Melbourne is located in the southeastern corner of mainland Australia, and is the southernmost mainland capital city. Melbourne is typical of Australian capital cities in that it was built with the underlying notion of a "quarter acre home and garden" for every family, often referred to locally as the Australian Dream. The phrase "four seasons in a day" is part of popular culture and observed by many visitors to the city. Melbourne is a large commercial and industrial centre. Many of Australia's largest companies have their headquarters there, and many multinational corporations (approximately onethird of the 100 largest multinationals operating in Australia as of 2002), have their main Australian office there.

Suurimaks motivatsiooniks ristisõtta minna oli patulunastus – mistõttu enamik ristisõdijatest olid ka röövlid. 70 000 kohalikku tapeti Jeruusalemma vallutades aastal 1099. I ristisõda algas 1096 ning lõppes 1099. Pärast esimest ristisõda loodi ristisõdade kuningriigid, mis pidid takistama moslemite ülevõtmist, aga mõne aja möödudes see siiski langes ning sai moslemite kätte. If today is a typical day on planet Earth, we will lose 116 square miles of rainforest, or about an acre a second. We will lose another 72 square miles to encroaching deserts, as a result of human mismanagement and overpopulation. We will lose 40 to 100 species, and no one knows whether the number is 40 or 100. Today the human population will increase by 250,000. And today we will add 2,700 tons of chlorofluorocarbons to the atmosphere and 15 million tons of carbon. Tonight the Earth will be a little hotter, its waters more acidic, and the fabric of life more threadbare.
train fare and arrived in Ithaca, New York, in February, 1911, where he got a job waiting on tables. After commencement in February of 1914, he attended graduate school, managing to fall in love twice, once with a brunette, once with the blonde daughter of a movie-house owner. While he was there, a wealthy textile merchant, George Fabyan, who maintained laboratories in acoustics, chemistry, genetics, and cryp- tology (to try to prove that Bacon wrote Shakespeare's plays) on his 500- acre estate, Riverbank, at Geneva, Illinois, decided that he needed a geneticist to improve the grains and livestock on his farm. He applied to Cornell for a "would-be-er," not an "as-is-er," and hired Friedman, to begin June 1, 1915. Fabyan was a man of no formal education but of intelligence and energy. He had a great desire to be "somebody," and that desire motivated his subsidizing the Baconian studies: proof of this revolutionary thesis would cover its patron as well as its actual
unpaved road. It was unmarked, barely visible among the ferns. The forest encroached on both sides, leaving the road ahead only discernible for a few meters as it twisted, serpentlike, around the ancient trees. And then, after a few miles, there was some thinning of the woods, and we were suddenly in a small meadow, or was it actually a lawn? The gloom of the forest didn't relent, though, for there were six primordial cedars that shaded an entire acre with their vast sweep of branches. The trees held their protecting shadow right up to the walls of the house that rose among them, making obsolete the deep porch that wrapped around the first story. I don't know what I had expected, but it definitely wasn't this. The house was timeless, graceful, and probably a hundred years old. It was painted a soft, faded white, three stories tall, rectangular and well proportioned
