Formal letter Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing in order to complain about a situation which happened on 26th of September, when I was dining at the Babyback Ribs &Bbq restaurant. To start from the beginning, at first when we entered the restaurant there was no-one to serve us. Then, when we had waited for a long time a young girl came to us and asked us if we had a table booked, we answered that we did not and so we were given the menus and lead to available seatings. When we had decided what to have there was once again no-one to serve us and when the waitress finally showed up she could not answer our questions about the specifics of the menu. Finally we came to a conclusion that I would take the french fries, but without jalapeno, which I especially accentuated
remember really well. I was 5 years old, just learned to ride a bike, and as most of kids at the same age, so do i wanted a new bike. One day that my mother came to brought me home from kindergarten, we went home, and i was very surprised when i saw brand new bike standing at living room. I was so excited and immediately wanted to go for a ride, but in outdoors was already dark, so I had to wait next day. At that night i couldn't sleep very well, because i was so excited and anxiously waited for morning. It was one of my best and memorablest days from my childhood.
Rest of the group standing few hundred meters away from me were punks. I mean literally punk people with their weird hairstyles and entirely dressed in black. They seemed so terryfing to me. Few of them noticed me standing here and they gave me smirky smiles. That scared me even more. How the hell am I supposed to enjoy this trip with these guys? I started walking slowly towards them, thinking that maybe I should turn around and not go to this trip. But I payed so much money and waited for this journey for so long. I reached the group and I was shaking a little. But you know what? They turned out to be the nicest and friendliest people and I had the best trip ever with them. That’s why there is a saying that don’t judge a book by it’s cover- so basically don’t judge people by their appearance.

5-th chapter Root asks about the alert that Foaly has given him. Foaly says that Captain Holly Short is missing. Her locator was seen across the ocean and the coastline. It shows that she went to site fifty- seven. They lose the picture from her helmet but Foaly says that they still have the sound. Root can hear a human voice asking Holly to surrender and talking about the secret ritual. Foaly and Root go back to the camera feed and go through it slowly, seeing in slow motion a hypodermic dart fly through the air. They realize that Holly is missing in action, probably dead. They had a locator which had a very strong signal moving to north. They had blueprints. Blueprints helped to see what´s inside the ship. Artemis hid Holly´s locator into ship. Root didn´t know that and followed signal. The ship was like a trap. Root searched the ship until he found a room. In that room, there was Artemis. Artemis talked to Root throu...
I saw my neighbour standing at the door holding a newspaper. ,,You always come at 8 o'clock. What are you doing here so early?" I asked. She raised her eyebrows, felt really confused and said she had come as usual. I glanced at my watch and understood that my alarm clock hadn't rang. My job interview would start in one hour and I had to hurry on a bus. Half an hour later I was in the bus station and felt relieved because I had still 5 minutes until my bus came. So I waited and looked at the timetable and saw that the bus drove every working day except that day. ,,Oh, great," I said ironically. I wanted to call a taxi, but found out that I had left my phone at home while I was rushing around. Fortunately, my friend lived nearby, so I rushed to her house. When I arrived, she said her mom had driven to work 5 minutes ago, otherwise she would have picked me up. So we called a taxi but I had to wait for another 15 minutes. When I finally arrived I had already
One friday evening, at a Palmstreet, took place a stark murder. Karl and his father had secret relationship and he knew that if this will became public, his life is through. He went to pub where a friend of his father, John, drank himself drunk and tried to forget about he and his friend's son relationship. Karl took a knife and stabbed John. He fled to his home and put the door lock and waited morning. But the night lingered. Finally, he fell asleep. In the morning, he awoke with a large headache. He went to the police, and he wanted to give himself up because remorses were too high. He however said that the murderer has been found. He did not belived it, and after a few days, he went to prison, to see the killer. For surprise, she was a woman. He did not know that woman, but he knew that this woman should not go behind bars innocently
Now I stood up, placed the envelope on the armchair and went down the stairs to look for the source of the noise or something else to explain it. There was nothing wrong and it was perfectly silent. As I stood there looking around me the front door opened. It was my sister coming in. I greeted her and then she started talking about an artschool she had been invited to. We talked a long time, and I got carried away with the conversatin, forgotting the envelope that still waited me on my armchair. Later at night, when I at last got to my room, I found the letter and remembered to open it. So I picked up the envelopen again. And opened it slowly, with a little hesitation. It was easy to open it. I took out the folded paper, letting the empty envelope fall on the floor. I unfolded the letter and started reading the lines. It was a formal letter and it took only a brief moment for me to understand what it was about

"Anyway," she went on, "I'll get you some cheese and crackers first." "I don't want it," he said. She moved uneasily in her chair, the large eyes still watching his face. "But you must eat! I'll fix it anyway, and then you can have it or not, as you like." She stood up and placed her sewing on the table by the lamp. "Sit down," he said. "Just for a minute, sit down." It wasn't till then that she began to get frightened.

conclusive in the Court's view, they provide sufficient material for the Court to have the gravest doubts whether the contested deprivation of liberty satisfied the legal requirements in the respondent State. "Lawfulness", in any event, also implies absence of any arbitrariness ... In this respect, the Court attaches great weight to the circumstances in which the applicant was forcibly conveyed to the Swiss border. Firstly, the relevant authorities waited for more than a month before serving the deportation order of 17 September 1979 on Mr. Bozano, although there was no difficulty about finding him in Limoges, where he was in pre-trial detention until 19 September and subsequently under judicial supervision ... The authorities thus prevented him from making any effective use of the remedies theoretically available to him. What is more serious is that the authorities gave every appearance of having wanted to ensure that Mr
Coins rained onto the marble and rolled merrily away, and I watched people dodge the chaos and keep going as if they didn't see it. I winced in sympathy and crouched to help the woman collect her money, as did one of the guards. "Thank you," she said, shooting me a quick harried smile. I smiled back. "No problem. I've been there." I'd just squatted to reach a nickel lying near the entrance when I ran into a pair of luxurious black oxfords draped in tailored black slacks. I waited a beat for the man to move out of my way and when he didn't, I arched my neck back to allow my line of sight to rise. The custom three -piece suit hit more than a few of my hot buttons, but it was the tall, powerfully lean body inside it that made it sensational. Still, as hot as all that magnificent maleness was, it wasn't until I reached the man's face that I went down for the count. Wow. Just...wow. He sank into an elegant crouch directly in front of me

that the experience of three-and-twenty years had been insufficient to make his wife understand his character. Her mind was less difficult to develop. She was a woman of mean understanding, little information, and uncertain temper. When she was discontented, she fancied herself nervous. The business of her life was to get her daughters married; its solace was visiting and news. Chapter 2 Mr. Bennet was among the earliest of those who waited on Mr. Bingley. He had always intended to visit him, though to the last always assuring his wife that he should not go; and till the evening after the visit was paid she had no knowledge of it. It was then disclosed in the following manner. Observing his second daughter employed in trimming a hat, he suddenly addressed her with: "I hope Mr. Bingley will like it, Lizzy." "We are not in a way to know what Mr. Bingley likes," said her mother resentfully, "since we are not to visit."
will happen?"—referring to the outbreak of war. "Most any time," replied the naval aide, who thought that the moment was getting very close. At the Japanese embassy at 2514 Massachusetts Avenue, the code clerks were executing these destruction orders. The code room stood at the southeast corner of the embassy, with windows overlooking the embassy parking lot and another legation next door. Half a dozen desks clustered in the middle of the room. Two cipher machines waited on desks against the west wall and a third, broken, rested in the walk-in safe. In utter disregard of the regulations promulgated for the security of communications, the embassy had hired an elderly Negro janitor named Robert to dust and clean the code room and its supersecret furnishings each day. The code clerks did make some obeisance to the security regulations by not allowing him in the room unless some Japanese were in it. But the situation was, to say the least, ironical
language. I accepted the irrational thought that my culture was primitive, which I have come to regret. A people without a language or culture is doomed to utter extinction. Yes, money talks all over the world. I remember in 1996, after Mr. Tony Blair became the Prime Minister of Britain, one of his first acts was to ban Nigerian Airways from flying into London. The ban took effect in February 1996. Nigeria waited until May of that year to retaliate and ban British Airways from flying 24 into Lagos, Nigeria. Mind you, Nigeria is one of British Airways’ most lucrative routes. It is the same syndrome of following the oppressors who treats us the worst. By the end of the year, British Airways had started feeling the pinch of losing this most lucrative route. It began to urge its government to lift the ban on Nigeria Airways
claimed by the Danish Vikings and by Duke William of Normandy. Harold marched north into Yorkshire and defeated the Danes. There he learned that William had landed in England with an army. Harold’s men were tired, but they had no time to rest. They marched south as fast as possible. Harold decided not to wait for the whole Saxon army to gather because William’s army was small. However, the Norman soldiers were better armed, better trained, and were mounted on horses. If he had waited, Harold might have won. But he was defeated and killed in battle near Hastings3. Duke William of Normandy, known as William the Conqueror 4, became king of the whole of England. A new period began in English history 5. The date is remembered for being the last time that England was successfully invaded. Norman Rule Unlike the Germanic invasions, the Norman invasion was small-scale. There was no such thing as a Norman area of settlement
Residents of Dallas, Texas, were called on the phone and asked if they would agree to allow a representative of the Hunger Relief Committee to come to their homes to sell them cookies, the proceeds from which would be used to supply meals for the needy. When tried alone, that request (labeled the standard solicitation approach) produced only 18 percent agreement. However, if the caller initially asked, "How are you feeling this evening?" and waited for a reply before proceeding with the standard approach, several noteworthy things happened. First, of the 120 individu- als called, most (108) gave the customary favorable reply ("Good," "Fine," "Real well," etc.). Second, 32 percent of the people who got the How-are-you-feeling-tonight question agreed to receive the cookie seller at their homes, nearly twice the success rate of the standard solicitation approach. Third, true to the consistency principle,
may rely only upon some motifs not bringing essential changes to the general picture. As an arc to this introspection a miniature recapitulation is given The second movement (Adagio) reflects loneliness and distress: Example 65. Without any warning this “vicious circle” of thought is cut off by a serene passage, first by horns(pp) and then the same phrase by woodwind and strings. Contentment and bliss is finally achieved, so long searched and waited for. The third movement (Allegro giocoso), is Scherzo-like, a theme for violins consisting of 15 bars. As a fugato theme it seems somewhat stretched out. The fourth and fifth intervals become essential in the further melodic and harmonic texture. A section from the beginning: Example 66. No synthesising results, the starting materials determine the inner possibilities. The fourth movement (Larghetto), a weighty contrast, Raid is looking inward.
■ A SUCCESS STORY A participant came up to me at a seminar recently and asked if I re- membered him. I told him that unfortunately I spoke to too many ccc_tracy_11_201-221.qxd 6/23/03 3:38 PM Page 212 212 ➤ CHANGE YOUR THINKING, CHANGE YOUR LIFE people each year to remember all of them. He reminded me that he had attended my two-day seminar about six years before. He was quite shy so he waited at the lunch break until everyone had left. He then told me about a most remarkable series of events that had hap- pened to him since the seminar. When he came to my seminar, he was a used car salesman. He had two children and was in his early thirties. He was earning an av- erage income and was up to his neck in debt. He was living in a rented house with his family. At the seminar, he decided that his biggest source of worry was
"I was in Tokyo with a group of friends. We all went down to Harajuku to see if we could see some artistically dressed youngsters and also to shop for fabulous clothing, which the area is famous for. A couple of the people with us were pretty fashionable dressers and had some speci c things in mind they wanted to buy. After walking into shops several times and leaving without seriously considering buying anything, one of my friends and I gave up and just waited outside while the others continued shopping. "We both lamented how unfashionable we were. "I then found myself saying the following to him: `For me, it doesn't even matter what I wear; I'm not going to look good anyway.' "I think he agreed with me. I can't remember, but that's not the point. The point was that, as I said those words, they hung in the air like when you say something super-embarrassing in a

Will Rogers "Pole olemas maski, millega mängida armastust seal, kus seda pole, ja varjata seal, kus ta on" I was regretting the past and fearing the future. Suddenly my Lord was speaking. "My name is I Am" He paused. I waited. He continued. "When you live in the past with its mistakes and regrets, it is hard. I am not there. My name is not I WAS. "When you live in the future with its problems and fears, it is hard. My name is not I WILL BE. "When you live in this moment it is not hard. I am here. My name is I AM." Life ends when you stop dreaming. Hope ends when you stop believing. Love ends when you stop caring. So, dream, hope and love .
A purebred Russian Blue stud cat called "Timofeus" turned out to be semi-longhaired. Although not found in modern Nebelung pedigrees, Timofeus confirmed that the recessive longhair gene was present among Russian Blues. In the following years, it turned out that semi-longhaired Russian Blues were not uncommon in Russia and some have become part of Nebelung breeding programmes in other countries. German Longhair The German Longhair has waited a long time for international recognition although a breed standard and scale of points has existed since 1929. All that was missing until a few years ago was a registered breed that corresponded to this standard. Following the 2nd World War, which interrupted cat breeding in Germany, the only native German longhaired cat breed was considered extinct. Longhaired cats in Germany were generically called Angoras and bred for colour, not conformation
