Letter Of Complaint

Lines cruise on the 10th-13th January. I went on the Carribbean cruise and I was completely dissatisfied. Firstly, your advertisement promises large deluxe cabins but they were actually quite small. I did not have room to move around in the cabin. Also the cabin was really dirty. It seemed like it had not been cleaned for a long time. I felt very uncomfortable staying there. What is more, I had to share my bathroom with other guests, which was really unpleasant and annoying. It surprised me because your advertisement said that you have private bathrooms. Furthermore, the food in the restaurant was horrible. It was cold and tasted awfully. I had to wait for two hours for the waitress to bring me my meal. It was really unpleasant and unlike the "5 star restaurant" you advertised. I am very disappointed indeed. I would like a full refund for the cost of my cruise as well as an apology for the appalling conditions

and I start just throwing ball through hoop. But actually basketball has dark side too. This game can be very dangerous. I have had a lot of very serious injuries. Twice I broke my leg and once hurt my hand so that I needed an emergency splint. I couldn't play basketball for months and meantime I swore to myself that I will never play this horroble game ever again. But I improved and next moment i was back to square, ready to run myself out of breath. Basketball can be unpleasant for some people. This can happen when person is very small, because basketball is kind of ,,tall people game". Basketball might become unpleasant when if anyone has received some very serious injuries, they can just start afraid playing basketball. Basketball develop me physically most of part, but it's a team game and it teaches to consider to others. Since I've been playing this for 13 years, may be believeable that basketball is developed me from all sides.

Dear Sir or Madam, I just returned from my holiday, which was not what we were looking for. There were some problems I want to talk about, which was not mention in brochure. Firstly, when we arrived at the airport, there were not any coach waiting for us but brochure said that transfer was included. Because of that we had to take a taxi and it was very expensive. What is more, the beach was far from hotel which was unpleasant surprise. In addition, entire resort was crowded and very noisy but travel agent described it as quiet and peaceful area. Last but not least, our hotel room was tiny and not comfortable for three people to live in, it was dirty also. Furthermore, towels were dirty during our two weeks holiday. In conclusion, I think the travel agent should offer some compensation for us, because of false information in brochure and bad service in hotel.

Dear Sir, My name is ... I am writing this letter following my stay at your hotel, Hotel Titanic. I stayed in room 603 from September 3rd to September 10th. I am wiriting becouse of the poor level of service and overall an unpleasant experience. When I first got to the hotel, I had to wait for 15 minutes in the reception before a young woman came, and helped us book in. Throughout my stay I was served mediocre food. The bathroom wasen't cleaned properly and the room servise was pretty bad. The room servise rearly changed my bed sheets and towels. There were 6 power-cuts wich each lasted for atleast 2 minutes. Worse still, I had an extremly noisy neighbour who was entertaining his visitors until 4 AM, two nights in a row.

pollute the atmosphere and humanity needed alternative fuels. That's because wind power is so necessary. Wind power is also renewable energy and it doesn't cause greenhouse gases. Building windmills is actually quite expensive and they need repairing or replacing about every 12-15 years. And strong winds can also break the wind turbines. Considering these things the wind power cost more than the energy from fossil fuels. Also the turbines are unpleasant to look at and if you live near the wind farms then they make a bit noise. Wind farms take a lot of space which you can use for farming. And when the wind doesn't blow then the turbines can't make energy. About 26% on world energy is made by wind power. Wind power is used many years in counties like Holland and Denmark where wind makes most of their energy.

Surprisingly, computer addiction covers a variety of impulse-control problems including cybersex addiction, cyber-relationship addiction, net compulsions, information overload and Internet addiction. These findings supports the importance of the Internet addiction. Many people turn to the Internet in order to manage unpleasant feelings such as stress, loneliness, depression, and anxiety. This suggests that it's important to remember that there are healthier (and more effective) ways to keep difficult feelings in check. These may include exercising, meditating, using sensory relaxation strategies, and practicing simple breathing exercises. One anticipated finding was that you are at greater risk of Internet addiction if you suffer from

Tolerance and diversity

Tolerance and diversity Tolerance is a very important issue for the people all over the world. Sadly the lack of it has influenced us more than the existence. On the other hand people have always liked the diversity of this world. For example, we can't imagine life without our Chinese food, Italian pasta and especially McDonalds , can we? We have to admit that it would be very unpleasant without simple things like these so is it so hard for us to cope with different types of people? We live our lives differently and see the world in different ways, everyone use words that they feel like using , but in the end we are all trying to answer the same question. There is no such thing as the correctness of one people with his religion because each and every one of us thinks that the one he believes is the only real. You do not have to like the same food,

Royce always wanted to be out with Rosalie because he enjoyed they way people looked at them. Bella takes in what Rosalie is saying with some shock. Rosalie continues the story and Bella can sense that the unpleasant ending is nearing. Rosalie recaps the evening of her death. She remembers everything about that night, the coldness of the weather and her worries about having to move the wedding indoors. Rosalie had been leaving Vera's house to head home when she ran into Royce. Royce was drunk and with several of his friends. pebble, except I am like that with words. I search far and wide for the perfect words and eventually end up with nothing. Even now I am struggling with writing, wanting to say so much but ending up with saying nothing meaningful at all, everything I manage to produce feels like a cliché, a platitude. As time passed and the older I got the less passionate I felt about writing. It became something unpleasant and began to feel forced as it was compulsory at school for students to write and write and write until they could write no more. And then write some more. Since then, I would not voluntarily pick up a pen, try to gather my thoughts and put them on paper. It seemed even more pointless than it had before. I knew I was not good at writing but now I had confirmation. Scarlett Johansson's character Cristina in Woody Allen's "Vicky Cristina Barcelona"

Class and social status in Pride and Prejudice

Mrs. Bennet is the best [Type here] example to prove that statement. She did not seem to care about the rich candidates' personality or behaviour, all that concerned her was his fortune. When a gentleman, Mr. Bingley, is said to be moving into the neighbourhood she immediately runs to her husband, already in the hopes of having one of her five daughters married to him. "A single man of large fortune; four or five thousand a year. What a fine thing for our girls." After having an unpleasant acquaintance with the named gentleman's friend, Mr. Darcy, Mrs. Bennet openly dislikes him, but upon learning that he will marry one of her daughters, she immediately changes her opinion. "But my dearest love, tell me what dish Mr. Darcy is particularly fond of, that I may have it to-morrow." This illustrates that personality did not matter for the mother, all that counted was fortune and marriage itself. Every century and society has its norms and rules of behaviour. What people of the

From late August to early September, a stinky tradition is upheld in Sweden, particularly in the northern part of the country. This is when cans of fermented sour Baltic herring (surströmming) are opened — a tradition dating to the 1800s. The custom always takes place outdoors owing to the overpowering, unpleasant smell, which many compare to rotten eggs and raw sewage. Crisp bread — hard to beat In addition to bread and butter, you’ll often find a type of crisp bread called knäckebröd served alongside your main meal. This is what the Swedes tend to reach for. Once considered poor man’s food, crisp bread has been baked in Sweden for over 500 years, can last for at least a year if stored properly, and remains among the most versatile edible products

celebrates. Rinaldi is an unbelievable womanizer, professing to be in love with Catherine at the beginning of the novel but claiming soon thereafter to be relieved that he is not, like Henry, saddled with the complicated emotional baggage that the love of a woman entails. Considering Rinaldi's frequent visits to the local whorehouses, Henry later muses that his friend has most likely succumbed to syphilis. While this registers as an unpleasant end, it is presented with an air of detached likelihood rather than fervent moralizing. It is, in other words, not punishment for a man's bad behavior but rather the consequence of a man behaving as a man--living large, living boldly, and being true to himself.

You do not notice the smell if you smoke, but to non-smokers the smell is obvious and unpleasant. Your sense of taste and smell are dulled. Enjoyment of food may be reduced. Smoking is a serious problem, about 100,000 people in the UK die each year due to smoking. It is very hard to quit smoking but luckily there are things like nicotine patches and gums to help you during the process. But those things won't help you if you lack of two most important things - willpower and determination. 3 Narcotics

History of philosophy

The future is determining present. 1. Beautiful bodies will give us children, who will honor us after we are dead (but only up to a point). Gorgias, On Rhetoric Gorgias argues that rhetoric, the art of persuasion is the highest art. Socrates: the rhetorician is like a cook who prepares a meal that everyone will enjoy, while the philosopher is like a doctor who must sometimes give his patients unpleasant medicine to make them better. - Pursuit of pleasure is not the highest good. The tyrant who can do whatever he wants is neither happy nor truly powerful (a theme which will be taken up again in The Republic). In the afterlife we will all have to be judged naked. Time will tell. Sophistry- False but appealing argument Rhetoric- The art of argument Philosophy- Pursuit of the truth Passion leads to quarrels (emotion), reason leads to harmony.

opinions about different themes. Another event was this year and it was called Model European Parlament. I was selected to represent our country in the all-Europe event in Slovakkia. I am really interested in foreign policy and for an ordinary student they are like Oscar nominations and that is the reason why I am proud about my participation. I worked really hard to be chosen and I succeeded, becauseI had made an effort big enough. For me it has always been unpleasant when someone is between the lines trying to say that you will never succeed in something. I have always taken such situations as challenges. This year I participated in a work shadow day. I remember that I had to fill in different forms, concerning the subject of the theme. I got back an answer that they do not have anynobody to offer me at the moment. Although they attracted my attention that I had a chance to apply for the crowns of the work shadow day, for who was a really tough competition

Philip Larkin’s Poetry: Themes, Form, Style, Imagery and Symbolism

Larkin, such us the origin of his themes, the way in which he writes his poems and the symbolism he uses (which is a very controversial topic because some assume that he does use it, while some others say that he uses it in an ironic way). In this work we tried to make a revision on the vision of Larkin through the studies that had been made on him, and on the basis of it we can say, that the voice of Larkin still clearly contemporary today. He is, in addition, acid, disagreeable, unpleasant, and we can catalogue these characteristics like the most appreciated by its followers. Larkin gives us through his poetry, a vision of middle-aged conservative, that in a politically incorrect way in our days, does not stand children, detests the life in family, he does not believe in anything and he does not wait anything of the life. He scorns the “literary life” and also the things that normally soften everybody: the romantic love, the memories of the childhood, the nature, etc.

particularly at ceremonial times. The patters were not random. In other words they were symbols that conveyed messages e.g., they represented the totems of individuals or denoted information about the tribe itself. The Aborigines often used the fat of animals to cover their bodies to protect them from insects such as mosquitoes. Some of the early Europeans considered that this practice 'gave them a most unpleasant odour'. No doubt it did, but it also provided effective protection against insect stings. Aborigines had initiations. Boys began a period of initiation from when they were 7 or 8 years of age. The first initiation ceremonies they attended were designed to make them independent on their mothers and other females. At other ceremonies and meetings with older males they were informed about the history and customs of the tribe and were taught how to survive and to be dependent on other males

fears that no man will marry her now. Jake tries to remain neutral. Frances says that she will not receive alimony from her husband because she got divorced in the quickest way; adding to her woes, no one will publish her writing. Trying to remain bright and cheery, she suggests that they rejoin Cohn. In front of Cohn, she tells Jake that Cohn has paid her two hundred pounds to go to England but that she had to wrangle it out of him. In a falsely cheerful manner, she bitterly describes the unpleasant visits to "friends" in England she will have to make, just so Cohn can get rid of her in an orderly manner. She claims that Cohn won't marry her because he wants to tell people that he once had a mistress. Cohn sits through her barrage. Jake excuses himself and leaves them alone. Schemas can describe how specific knowledge is organized and stored in memory. Schema theory has been used to explain memory processes. Memory processes are divided into three main stages: 1) Encoding: transferring sensory information into a meaningful memory.

He doesn't understand why she has to be so beautiful--after all, that's why he is in this position in the first place. As expected, the opera scenario causes a scandal. Other opera-goers refuse to sit in the same box as Anna, for she has sinned. Once the two arrive home they fight, then finally make peace. "'Anna,' he said. 'You, you are to blame for everything!' she cried, with tears of despair and anger in her voice, getting up. 'I begged, I implored you not to go; I knew it would be unpleasant...' 'Unpleasant!' she cried. 'Hideous! As long as I live I shall never forget it. She said it was a disgrace to sit beside me.' They leave for the country to relax. Anna begins to notice how Vronsky resembles Karenin in his concern for what others think--why can't she find an independent man, she wonders. Anna starts to dream that Vronsky doesn't love her. Certain events and emotions are literally driving her insane. Part 6, Chapters 1-7

Periods of work only lasted as long as it took to be able to ‘set off again’. Although it is likely that some individuals may strike an annual balance of ‘seasons’ in which work at home and travel take on a cyclical harmony, for these lifestyle travellers the former was merely a fragmented and calculated means towards fulfilling the high self-investment placed in the latter. In this sense, work at home is ‘an unpleasant necessity’, engaged in only when ‘pressed by dire need’ (Cohen, 1973, p. 92). In an example of targeting another country expressly for its work opportunities, Adam (Israeli, 25) recounted visiting the UK as a working tourist: ‘I worked like a dog for a couple of months in London and saved a big amount of money, with which I then went travelling in 11 India and Pakistan

When the dancing recommenced, however, and Darcy approached to claim her hand, Charlotte could not help cautioning her in a whisper, not to be a simpleton, and allow her fancy for Wickham to make her appear unpleasant in the eyes of a man ten times his consequence. How could it happen that an intelligent young woman would agree to turn over her new car to a virtual stranger (and a youngster at that) because he had done her a small favor a month earlier? Or, more generally, why should it be that small first favors often stimulate larger return favors? One important reason concerns the clearly unpleasant character of the feeling of indebtedness. Most of us find it highly disagreeable to be in a state of obligation. It weighs heavily on us and _ Chapter 2 RECIPROCATION demands to be removed. It is not difficult to trace the source of this feeling. Be- cause reciprocal arrangements are so vital in human social systems, we have been conditioned to feel uncomfortable when beholden. Some of the gases that are produced along with methane, such as butane and propane (also known as 'by- products'), are separated and cleaned at a gas processing plant. The by-products, once removed, are used in a number of ways. For example, propane can be used for cooking on gas grills. Because natural gas is colorless, odorless and tasteless, mercaptan (a chemical that has a sulfur like odor) is added before distribution, to give it a distinct unpleasant odor (smells like rotten eggs). This serves as a safety device by allowing it to be detected in the atmosphere, in cases where leaks occur. 56 Most of the natural gas consumed in the United States is produced in the United States. Some is imported from Canada and shipped to the United States in pipelines. Increasingly natural gas is also being shipped to the United States as liquefied natural gas(LNG).
