Towards zero inglisekeelne kokkuvõte

The group who sat around the fireplace talked about the murder what had happened in the Old Bailey in the morning. They talked themselves out, little by little and then their eyes turned to mr. Treves. Then mr. Treves said a few wise words. He likes a good detective story, but they all start with the wrong place. They start with the murder. But murder is and should be at the end of the story. It should begin at long before, perhaps even years before that. the whole story should culminate to towards zero. The story continues in the 11th January. Angus MacWhirter wanted to commit suicide but he found himself from the hospital. He was a very angry because he was not allowed to die. When the man had calmed down then he told his sad fate to nurse. He lost his job because he didn't lie for his boss. His wife left him because he didn't have a job. His wife married with his best friend. The man began to drink and to commit suicide. He jumped down of the cliff but

„Genius Loci: Towards a Phenomenology of Architecture“ peatükk 6 kokkuvõte

Raamatu ,,Genius Loci: Towards a Phenomenology of Architecture" kokkuvõte Peatükk nr 6 Raamatu kuues peatükk analüüsis Rooma linna ülesehitust ja omapärasust ning proovis selgitada, mida võib pidada Rooma koha vaimuks ehk genius loci'ks.

hegemonic: since the 2007 elections, the party controls 315 of the 450 seats in the State Duma, 78 of Russia's 83 executive posts at regional level, majorities in 81 local assemblies, and a large percentage of Russia's mayoralties, including 8 of the 10 largest cities. The party has a mass membership of over 1.5 million and nearly 60,000 regional, local and primary branches (Reuter 2010: 295). In this light, as there is considerable reason to believe that Russia's political system is moving towards a, what is called "dominant party system", in this paper, I will examine the main strategies, by witch United Russia has gained and perpetuated its dominance. After looking at the main features of a dominant party, I will focus on the reforms in Russia's electoral law, which supported the nascence of a dominant party. In the second part of the work, I will concentrate on the political strategies, which have helped the party to maintain its hold on power. Defining the dominant party

How to become successful?

How to become successful? Success as a rather abstract term has become the main goal that youngsters want to achieve nowadays when they are putting the things in their lives into perspective. Success is measured individually by each person based on their values, intrests and achievements. But what could be the gameplan when inching one's way towards success in my point of view? First of all, i believe that figuring out the path one wants to follow in life and being persistent on staying on that path is even more important than a well-rounded education. An excellent example to support that idea is Steve Jobs, one of the founders of Apple Inc., who had a poor education, but a clear vision of what he wants to do. Conclusively, one will be able

The Fear of Choosing The Wrong Major in University

Another minor fear I have about working in the IT sector in the future is tied to gender inequality. Stereotypically, IT specialists are nerdy men with ponytails and glasses, spending time alone in their room with no social lives. Because of this stereotype, men are more favored by the employers and women have a much harder time asserting themselves in this precise field. However, in recent media news articles in Estonia, there has been a lot of encouraging calls towards women to go work in the sector. Additionally, the biggest fear towards my chosen major are the questions, what if I am not smart enough to study IT and what if I start to hate it in the future. I believe these two questions are the most common questions teenagers have about their chosen major. For most part, all the fears and doubts teenagers have will come to a pass. But, if any of the previous fears do come true, people have to keep hope and try again and choose another major

Might the Welsh language face a bright future?

Might the Welsh language face a bright future? Welsh belongs to a branch of Celtic, an Indo-European language. The language is being used about half a million people in Wales and possibly another few hundred thousand people within England and even Australia and United States of America. The normal language of every day life is still English but in some regions such as Gwynedd and Dyfed, the use of Welsh is very wide and well spread. The tendency nowadays is towards the development and introduction of Welsh. This could not have been said at the first part of the 20th century. Welsh have been under the reign or a part of Great Britain for a long time. During the 16 th century, particularly at the time of Henry the VIII, they tried to force the Welsh language out by an Act which declared that the language to be used in courts and administrative offices would have to be English. And of course the most natural process started as

As earlier historians used to believe, he may have suffered from a personality disorders. Richard's mental state has been a major issue since the 19th century. One of the first modern historians to deal with Richard II as a king and as a person was Bishop Stubbs. Stubbs argued that towards the end of his reign, Richard's mind "was losing its balance altogether" even though there is no basis for assuming the king suffered from mental illness he showed clear signs of a narcissistic personality, and towards the end of his reign "Richard's grasp on reality was becoming weaker". Richard promised to bring an end to the Hundred Years' War that Edward III had started. Writers agreed that Richard was a "most beautiful king", though with a "face which was white,

Apologies

Apologies · We have probably all been in a situation when we know have behaved badly towards someone, but pride has made us slow to apologise. As the British pop singer Elton John put it on one of his songs, it is often the case that ,,sorry seems to be the hardest word." Of course when we do manage to make a sincere apology-it can quickly reduce the hurt or resestment felt by the person we have behaved badly towards. In the words of the Canadian cartoonist Lynn Johnston "An apology is the superglue of life-it can repair just about anything". However a recent survey suggests that in Britain the word ,,sorry" is being used in various situations where it doesn't have the traditional purpose of expressing regret for something a person has said or done. Arguably, the word is now being overused and might even be in danger of losing its meaning.

TURKEY AND CYPRUS Turkey has unresolved issues and unstable relations or no relations at all with some EU member states. Greece and Cyprus are cases in point. In recent years, Greek- Turkish relations have improved considerably and Greece's policy towards Turkish accession is a positive one, but this depends on the political barometer over the Aegean and Cyprus. The fact that Turkey does not recognize the Republic of Cyprus a full member of the EU since May 2004 has been a source of legal controversies and political complications. itself from this, to seek after holistic, balanced accounts of the past. Early chronicles of Estonian history illustrate this diversity of perspective. Johann Renner, a Baltic German, held his own people in high esteem, deeming them the people of God. He implied this when he wrote that God would save His people from the hand of Gog. He seems to indicate that Gog was the Muscovite people. Perhaps the Muscovite people truly were vicious towards Baltic peoples, but perhaps not. Whatever the case, his biases colored his writing, likely distorting the truth as to how things actually were and how events actually happened.1 The same can be said of chronicles written by German B. Russow, who praised Swedish rule, and D. Fabricius, a Catholic Pole who favored Polish rule and rendered a Polish perspective of history. Russian history during the imperial period also shows such an ideological influence

That scared me even more. How the hell am I supposed to enjoy this trip with these guys? I started walking slowly towards them, thinking that maybe I should turn around and not go to this trip. But I payed so much money and waited for this journey for so long. I reached the group and I was shaking a little. But you know what? sea. Nice, is one of the most beautiful cities you will ever see. The main place of interest is the promenade des Anglais, which is a celebrated promenade along the Mediterranean at Nice, France. It is a walkway along the sea, where you can enjoy amazing view and see many luxurious private ships. Another place worthy of visiting is the small street parallel to the promenade des Anglais; leading from Nice's downtown, beginning at Place Massena, and shadowing the promenade towards the airport for a short distance about 4 blocks. This area of the city is off limits to cars, and by eliminating traffic creates a more serene setting. On this small strip tourists can find a fine selection of restaurants, where you can try local cuisine, cafes and small shops for clothing, shoes as well as souvenirs. Don't miss out on a visit to Nice. With its´ sandy and unspoilt beaches, interesting places to visit and picturesque natural beauty, it will certainly be unforgettable.

The whole family then went to see what was going on, when they opened the old squeaking garage door; they saw an old lady who was sitting in a chair rocking back and forth very slowly. The father went to the car and directed the cars headlights towards the lady, they saw nothing, when he turned the lights out again, and the lady appeared. He did it again, same thing happened. The family was stunned and scared. They drove away as quickly as they could and never went back to that house. They later found out that in the 19th century there lived a happy couple, but when the husband died, wife had gone crazy.

Hamlet’s View on Life and Death

with his desire to kill Claudius that he doesn't have time for real life. Hamlet's view of death influences his morality: if all people die, no matter what they do, then one's actual life becomes less significant than its purpose. In Hamlet's case, this means that his death is not of great concern, but his revenge is. Hamlet saw death as a reliable end to mortal suffering, something that can bring comfort. Later we see clearly a shift in Hamlet's attitude towards death. He surrenders himself to his own fate - what God has for him... whether it is life or death. His contemplation of death and its nature gives way to a new Hamlet who has made peace with the world and is ready for whatever fate brings him.

Estonian Environmental Strategy

According to the article in constitution, every person in Estonia is obliged to preserve environment and to compensate for damage they cause. In the last fifty years, the use of natural resources has been irrational. The result is that there are turned out many environmental problem areas and preconditions for environmental crisis. Estonian environment was significantly polluted by Soviet army and it takes decades to eliminate this. After Estonia regained its independence, Estonia has moved towards a liberal and free market economy. Different enterprises and various funds have financed large investments to address enviromental problems. On the second floor, there would be at least four bedrooms where my family/children would sleep. One of the bedrooms would be for guests. There would also be a second bathroom. All the rooms on the second floor would be decorated with some antiquity in mind. As you can see i like antique stuff, but with modern technology. She is outsider and apparently enemy of society. The state has ruled that she is mentally unstable and has a trustee to help her manage her duties. Salander doesn't really care what others think of her. In fact, she values the most her privacy and anonymity. She has no faith that the official justice system can help her. She just wanted to be left in peace. She had really difficult childhood, because his father was former Soviet spy and defected to Sweden and especially cruel towards the whole family. Mother wasn't enough strong to protect herself and kids from father. Lisbeth was the one who decided to take a step towards his dad. This brought a 13-year old kid to a mental hospital. The reason why she is so different from the other people is that she is the second best hacker in the world; she has a photographical memory, and don't want to reveal herself to anyone. *Aleksnder Zalachenko Lisbeth's father, who's responsible for Salander's difficult childhood

made equal in mental and physical abilities. This does not mean that all of us are equally strong, smart or beautiful, but that everyone has the ability to damage or kill the other. The main goals, we all want to achieve, are having a shelter, security, power, wealth and enough food. This means that people are constantly competing with each other and that makes all of us (who desire the same things) enemies. Hobbes names the insecurity and fear people feel towards each other a "state of nature". In this state there are no moral rules or enforced laws, also no justice or injustice. People, being violent and arbitrary, will only follow their own interest. So without laws and boundaries, people would be in constant war - every man for himself. In this kind of society there is no time for cultural or industrial development. No one can enjoy life because of the constant fear they life in. The "state of

I started listening to my music because I thought this would make the fear go away. Out of nowhere somebody hit me and grabbed my bag, I couldn't catch him because I was wearing heels, I panicked and called my brother saying that someone stole my bag and that mugger was running towards him, my brother told me to stay calm and go straight home. I went home scared as hell and about 10 minutes later my brother came back home to, he had catched the mugger and he handed him over to police so it was kind of happy story for me.

A small adventure

The weather was delightful: it was warm and there wasn't windy, so we decided to go and watch the sunset at the beach. Sadly we weren't allowed to go outside after 11 p.m. and it was already about 11.30 p.m., but we decided to go anyway. All three of us put on our darkest clothes so no one could see us. We sneaked out of our room and ran over a big hilly field into the dark forest. Unfortunately a strict teacher saw us and started coming towards us. We freaked out and started running through the forest. Luckily the teacher gave up looking for us very easily, but to my horror we had lost each other. I decided to run through the forest to the beach. The way was really short and the forest wasn't dense either, but I was still a bit scared, because I was alone. When I got to the beach I saw Jane and Elisabeth. We were relieved and happy to find each other. We took some pictures and watched the sunset.

Constructivism theory

Rather, what makes much sense for the constructivist is that under anarchy different social structures and arrangements, cooperative and conflictual, can be formed and defined on the basis of actors' social identities, and accordingly, the way they construct their national interests and security. In other words, as Alexander Wendt puts it, "anarchy is what states make of it," that is, the "nature" of international anarchy appears to be conflictual if states show a conflictual behaviour towards each other, and cooperative if they behave cooperatively towards one another. Some words about Alexander Wendt he is a political scientist and one of the core social constructivist scholars in international relations. The critical questions about the nature of anarchy and the extent to which actions and behaviours of states result from an interplay between the international "structure" of power and the "process" of state-to-state
