Stress

Although the body begins to try to adapt (kohanduma) to the strains (pinge) or demands (nõudmistega) of the environment, the body cannot keep this up indefinitely (määramatult), so its resources are gradually depleted (otsakorral). Exhaustion (kurnatus) is the third and final. At this point, all of the body's resources are eventually depleted (otsakorral) and the body is unable to maintain (säilitama) normal function. The initial (algne) autonomic nervous system symptoms may reappear (sweating, raised heart rate etc.). If stage three is extended (pikendatud), long term damage may result as the body, and the immune system is exhausted and function is impaired (kahjustatud) resulting in decompensation (tasakaalust väljas). My analysis of the article “ Why Ebola is so dangerous”

dangerous" I chose this article because this theme is very current in our society, and many people are dying due to the disease called Ebola. The theme is very intriguing and I hope it interests people, because it definitely interests me. I think that this article makes people more aware of the disease and hopefully helps to put a stop to Ebola. Ebola virus disease, or simply Ebola, is a disease of humans and other primates caused by ebolaviruses. Signs and symptoms typically start between two days and three weeks after contracting the virus, as a fever, sore throat, muscle pain and headaches. Then, vomiting, diarrhea and rash usually follow, along with decreased function of the liver and kidneys. At this time, generally, some people begin to bleed both internally and externally. Death, if it occurs, follows typically six to sixteen days after symptoms appear and is often due to low blood pressure from fluid loss.

This dangerous side of the yew has led some to call it the "tree of death,,. Symptoms include staggering gait, muscle tremors, collapse, difficulty breathing, coldness and eventually heart failure. However, death occurs so rapidly that many times the symptoms are missed. Fatal poisoning in humans is very rare, only occurring after eating a lot of yew foliage. Conventional medicine has little to learn from alternative medicine

medicine has a lack of scientific basis and its results are not always consistent. On the other hand, alternative medicine is better when having relatively mild condition, such as headaches, then a doctor would probably write out pain killers. Not much help in the long term. Alternative medicine is also the last chance, when having an untreatable condition, like cancer. Conventional medicine seeks to solve problems by masking or eliminating symptoms, which is not always the best solution, because it does not reveal the real cause of the pain. In conclusion, conventional medicine has a lot to learn from alternative medicine. It is also very important to use the right treatment, in more serious cases conventional one. Alternative medicine is not very faithworthy.

Should parents be obliged to immunize their children against childhood diseases?

Should parents be obliged to immunize their children against childhood diseases? Or do individuals have the right to choose not to immunize their children? Some people argue that the state has the right to make parents immunize their children. It seems to me that immunisation is necessary because it stops spreading diseases all over the world. Preventive medicine is a very useful way to eradicate illnesses because by applying it we do not need to cure diseases or treat their symptoms, we just prevent them. Every year thousand of children’s lives are saved thanks to timely vaccination. In addition, history also demonstrates us that childhood illnesses of previous centuries such as measles, tuberculosis and diphtheria have declined dramatically nowadays due to preventive care, which has protected children from potentially deadly diseases. Some members of our society will mention freedom of choice and insist that parents can make their own decision

Secondly some people start smoking because there's a rumour saying that it's slimming. And another reason may be that it may relieve stress. After three or four cigarettes you get addicted to it because of nicotine. It is a drug that stimulates the brain. When the level of nicotine falls in your blood and you're a regular smoker, you usually develop withdrawal symptoms, such as craving, anxiety, restlessness, headaches, irritability, hunger, difficulty with concentration, or just feeling awful. These symptoms are relieved by the next cigarette. Most smokers need to smoke regularly to feel normal and to prevent nicotine withdrawal symptoms. So once you start smoking it is very hard to quit. second thought. Despite the wide use of animal testing, the research gained from it is not helpful to mankind. The chemicals and medicines tested on animals reacts differently on every species. That is why results gained from animal testing could be incorrect and misleading. In many cases, not only are the results wrong, but the opposite can be true for humans; a drug may cure a disease in lab animals but have an bad effect when used in treating people for the same symptoms. Only the study of human patients will ultimately lead to valid research. Unfortunately, many institutions which commit violations of animal rights appear to have no concern for their activity. It seems that the only option is to force them to stop their cruelty. Bills concerning animal research should be introduced to Congress as soon as possible. This is the only way to ensure that this tragedy will be ended, or at least contained.

Should smoking be banned

Should smoking be banned?

Banning smoking is actually a financial loss for the government as it collects a lot of revenue through the taxes on cigarette sales. Another argument is that it is human tendency to do exactly those things which are forbidden. So, if smoking is banned in public places, adults and teens are more likely to smoke and find their own means to evade this law to continue with the habit. Lastly, when smokers who are habitual and addicted, may experience smoking withdrawal symptoms such as irritability, anger, etc, if they cannot smoke immediately. Therefore, in this condition and under stress, they might cause a problem to others. On the other hand, whether the smoker is using public transport or is in a restaurant, the people around him are bound to inhale the smoke coming out of his cigarette, so making them prone to all the diseases an active smoker gets. Thus, if smoking is banned, spread of these diseases can be checked.

Harmful effects on the eye caused by smart devices

Smart devices radiate different light. One of the reasons why smart devices have harmful effect on the eyes is the blue light that they radiate. Blue light has damaging effect on the eye because it refracts in front of the retina. This forces the eye to focus constantly and as a result, the eye gets tired quickly. Blue light can cause different eye diseases. One of the diseases is „Dry eye syndrome“. Dry eye syndrome is a collection of symptoms which are caused by a lack of or low quality of the tear fluid. This can not be completely cured but it can be prevented by resting the eyes after every half an hour when using smart devices. Another disease which can be caused by the blue light radiation is Macular Degeneration Disease. Macula is located in retina and the image that is focused on the retina is the sharpest in macula. This is the reason why macula can not be damaged at all to have a correct visual acuity

weight. Edema can affect any cell and can therefore occur anywhere in the body, though it is most immediately noticeable in the hands, feet, ankles, and legs, which appear to plump. But it's when the cells in the brain begin to swell that edema becomes most problematic. Confined to the skull, ballooning neurons quickly run out of room to expand and when the brain swells, things can get ugly. Early symptoms can, paradoxically, resemble heat stroke, and include headache, diarrhea, nausea, cramping, and vomiting. In cases where water intake greatly exceeds the kidney's processing abilities, M. Amin Arnaout, chief of nephrology at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School tells Scientific American that symptoms can escalate to include seizure, coma, respiratory arrest, brain stem herniation, and death. the future. I am sure that the future will bring new opportunities to cure diseases that cannot be cured now. I believe and hope that scientist will find some kind of treatment for AIDS for the year 2020. I suppose that if a risky illness will start spreading the scientists will find cure against it quicker and the people will know exactly how to avoid catching a flu that is dangerous and how to react if you have the symptoms of that flu. I imagine that the people will learn more about the dangerous infections and they will realize that it is important to go to regular check-ups and really keep your surroundings clean and tidy.
