Lui finds herself unable to choose between a man who claims to love her enough to kill for her and one who claims to love her, but feels sadistic temptation to kill her. My opinion of what author tries to say: Nobody can't tell what You should like and dislike Everybody changes, but are still able to fit in We all have bats in our belfry There are lots of things in the world that most of the people have never seen Author tries to present a different world (Hitomi has stretched her ears, so she knows about alternative/punk/goth etc. kind of stuff) The movie trailer Trailer of the movie can be seen here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=63QcVOWFYnw&fea "I want to be part of an underground world where the sun doesn't shine, there are no love

house. Edward drives by Bella and doesn't stop to talk to her. Bella helps Angela address her graduation invitations, and Angela can sense something is wrong. When she asks, Bella explains that Edward thinks Jacob is dangerous and doesn't like Bella being around Jacob. Angela thinks Edward is just jealous. The conversation turns to the girls preparing for college. Angela is sad that Bella will most likely be in Alaska, and Bella feels a wave of sadness knowing she won't be able to keep in touch. Bella returns home trying to avoid going to her room. Finally, she heads to her room knowing Edward will be there. He is waiting by the open window glaring at her. Bella tries to make light of the situation, but Edward is furious. He tells Bella he almost crossed the treaty line to look for her. Bella questions Edward about being jealous and he insists the anger is only over Bella's safety. Edward tells Bella she can not go back to La Push. After

It could potentionally make the holder of philospher's stone immortal. So the stakes were high. Everybody knew that they could rule the world with this mysthical substance. But now everybody believed in it. Mixing together diferent substances probably shorten their life span by decades. They spent their lives to find it but I don't think that they managed it. Why i would like to have a philosopher's stone? Think about a person who can make gold. I could rule the world simply by being able to produce massive amounts of money out of iron or copper. I could be the richest person on earth and do what i want. It's a nice dream but thinking about it more deeply and after a really short research, I do not believe that a thing like Philosopher's stone exists.

"The whole manager" referaat

Most managers appreciate a certain need for preparation but do not give it nearly as much attention as it deserves. Preparation is vital because it will give you considerable selfconfidence right from the start. To get the best out of yourself you need to feel accountable for your actions and for those of your team. Basically, that means not leaning on others for help and not looking for excuses when things go wrong. Only by adopting a mindset of full responsibility will you be able to make the most of your talents. When author observe managers and directors who continually achieve success there is often a cerain characteristic a mixture of firmness, strength af character, courage, integrity, and being true to oneself that he calls ,,bottle". Throughout your career you will have many opportunities to show your ,,bottle". By making the right choices ones that show your courage and integrity you will grow and mature as a manager and as a person.

Loads of fishes are not able to survive in acidic water. There are 2 ways acid rain effects lakes and streams: chronic and episodic. The first one is long-term process and this acidification is result from years of acidic rainfall. Episodic, on the other hand, is rapid change sudden jump in the acidity of water. Acid deposition may influence forest vegetation and soils. It removes soil nutrients such as calcium and magnesium from soils in high elevation forests

poverty line, earning less than $1.25 per day. Among this group of poor people, many have problems obtaining adequate, nutritious food for themselves and their families. As a result, 820 million people in the developing world are undernourished. They consume less than the minimum amount of calories essential for sound health and growth. Socially, the lack of food erodes relationships and feeds shame so that those most in need of support are often least able to call on it. What causes hunger? Crops don't grow if there is no rain and families can't feed themselves. People who are poor can't buy food when their crops fail. They have nothing to fall back on. Conflict is another major cause of hunger. Wars destroy farms and fields. Farmers may be killed. People have to leave their homes and farms and live somewhere else. Less food is produced in times of war. The HIV/AIDS pandemic has left many farmers sick and unable to grow food.

spring up along the way, giving the children a meaningful experience of what it is like to work on a real-world project. The teacher would have an important role, psychologically coaching the kids through the highs and lows of the project and facilitating discussions to make them work better together and motivate themselves. In addition, academic lessons would be split into two halves. The first half would be a basic skills seminar, and the second an advanced class. Students would be able to choose whether to stay the second half, or else they could leave to work on their current project, read, or pursue an independent study of another subject. The students who stayed - the "second halfers" - would be known as the students with the greatest passion for the subject. No grades or competition would exist. Rather, the motivation to work would come from a desire to earn the respect of teachers and fellow students and establish a positive self-identity. Kids would also decide

Nowadays genetic engineering is using much more difficult methods and hundreds business concerns around the world are engaged in receiving and testing of genetically modified plants. However, there are different meanings concerning this theme. It is known, that the population of our globe is growing steadily and because of it has appeared a problem of shortage of the food. And genetic engineering is able to solve this problems, because there are used some technologies which modify organisms genes and give them new properties, such as resistnce to some diseases, cold weather or wreckers. Also was found out that it is possible to treat oncological diseases or hereditary diseases of a brain and nervous system by using genetic engineering and research inflammatory and immunological diseases. In the economic plan genetic engineering is very favorable. First of all, terms of creating of a new sort

were allowed to continue until all parties had died. Today, the practice of plural marriage continues among tens of thousands of Mormon fundamentalists, mostly in the western United States, Canada, and Mexico, where it is generally illegal. Practitioners are almost never prosecuted. They even have their own private schools for the children who grow up in polygamous families. In some countries polygamy is much needed, without it people would not be able to keep up their farms. It helps them to get food more easily and share the property they inherited from their parents. I think that in about hundred years or so there will be no more polygamous families.I believe people are too jealous to share their loved ones. Although people in the all countries are getting more and more accepting towards different lifestyles and customs. People have fought and sacrificed their lives so this type of lifestyle would be accepted. If people have

skills have reverted. A century ago nobody knew technical instruments such as calculator or computer. People calculated by themselves, the letters were sent by post and people had more time to spend with family than nowadays, because now the majority of us are spending time on the Internet. So is the development of technique our fortune or accident? Of course the technique makes our lives easier. New agricultural machines are able to do more work than we. Planes and ships enable us to discover foreign countries thousands of miles away and broaden the mind. Moreover we have a chance to find interesting and educating information from computer, but with what price? All these robots and facilities prevent us from thinking ourselves. We create traps, from which is difficult to get out. For example the using of the calculator generates in us the fixation. We

Should class attendance be mandatory for university students?

or unsolicited, can be extremely distracting to their peers who are indeed looking to educate themselves. This is a loss for both ends as unmotivated students get even more frustrated and the ones focused are forced to learn in a disruptive environment. In conclusion, there are pros and cons to both obligatory and optional class attendance but all things considered, it seems that the merits of selective attendance overweigh the alternative as college-aged students should be able keep themselves on the right path on their own. As the exceptions remain, problematic students should consider their options and contemplate, whether university is the right place for them. Triin Tammaru 12.d

For example, translating to deaf people via sign language, or dubbing (animated) movies and shows to the local language • Context – definition (how may it vary). Why we need it (3 reasons) + be able to bring and identify examples. How translators benefit from it? 1. Resolve ambiguity 2. Provide referents to thus, then, he, it , that. 3. Make sense of elliptical sentences (shortened form of sentence) Example: A: Where are you going? B: To school (I’m going to school) – elliptical A: Ready? B: Ready  Immidiate words  Paragraph  The entire text (wtf?) • Register – language user and language use. Language user – time,

Learning foreign language - Why is it necessary?

It is quite weird if you cant speak this language after 20 years leaving in the country. It makes me think that people do not respect our language. I mean some Russians. I understand that they do not need it but they should speak Estonian too. Many companies in modern world are international and most communicating is in English. And if you wanna be successful you need to speak language perfectly. If your work involves regular contact with speakers of foreign languages, being able to talk to them in their own languages will help you to communicate with them. Knowledge of foreign languages may also increase your chances of finding a new job, getting a promotion or a transfer overseas, or of going on foreign business trips. Many English-speaking business people don't bother to learn other languages because they believe that most of the people they do business with in foreign countries can speak English, and if they don't speak English, interpreters can be used.

Gender equality in higher positions of companies

So, no company should hire or even make a job interview with a woman just because she is a woman. Vice versa, if a woman is turned down by a company just because she is a woman, is already a serious discrimination. Some parts of the he society have taken an opinion that women have to maintain their family and children. Our society itself has a negative viewpoint towards working woman who want to make career instead of a family. They believe that only men are able to handle the financial decisions and have higher leadership skills, making them part of higher positions in the companies. What I think is that these days more women are career oriented and the society is more open in having a woman on leading positions. In this modern age, women are more enterprising and not afraid of leading the team of co-workers a company or even a country. To sum up, my opinion is that companies should provide equal work criteria to both genders. Both

Reflective Statement Antigone

Creon is the character, who best symbolizes everything man-made, while Antigone is the one who is in connection with the Gods and nature. Creon, due to his excessive hubris, has forgotten about the centuries old traditions of Gods and thinks of himself as the leader on earth. At the same time Antigone actively believes in the Gods and bases justifications to her actions on the will of the Gods. Through the characters of Antigone and Creon, Sophocles is able to express his ideas about the balance between the artificial man- made world in comparison to the natural laws and traditions. The conflict between man and nature presented in Antigone has deepened my understanding of the customs and traditions of the ancient Greek era and influenced my perception of our current world. The conflict is still relevant today, when we argue about the issues of abortion and gay rights, which are both religiously frowned upon,

Finally they agreed on democratic elections but most of the candidates were communist so the communist still got to power. In between the countries which were controlled by the communist and the countries which were on the USA's side an iron curtain was drawn. Military alliances were formed as the West grouped together as NATO and the East as the Warsaw Pact. Many countries were able to fight against the Communist thanks to the USA's Marshal Plan ( European Recovery Programme- ERP). Because it was such a big of success the USA wanted to start another programme of technical aid to less- developed countries outside Europe. The USSR wanted support from those areas too and started a very similar Molotov Plan. Since then such offers of help have become an important role of the Cold war. The first time the US and the USSR acted as certain enemies was the Berlin Blockade

All Marketers are liars

We tell ourselves stories that can´t possibly be true, but believing those allows us to function. Marketers are a special kind of liars. Marketers lie to consumers because consumers demand it. Some marketers to it well, others pretty bad. Sometimes the stories help people get more done, enjoy life more and even live longer. Other times, when the story isn´t authentic, it can have significant side effects and consumers pay the price. Truly great stories succeed because they are able to capture the imagination of large and important audiences. A great story is true. Not true because it´s factual, but true because it´s consistent and authentic. Great stories make a promise. They promise fun or money, safety or a shortcut. The promise is bold and audacious and not very good. Great stories are trusted. Trust is the scarcest resource we´ve got left. Consumers don ´t trust the spokespeople on commercials and companies that make pharmaceuticals. Great stories are subtle

response to her chatter being an occasional glance, nod or ''mmh''. To someone, who obviously has a certain fondness for Twilight, not much explanation is needed to why I so suddenly fell unexplainably, deeply in love with it. However, even then, I wasn't entirely blinded, or at least blinded enough not to notice the poor writing skills of the author, the blandness and lack of development of the characters and several cringeworthy scenes that I was able to forgive, at first. So I decided to reread it, with a more critical view, eventually coming to a conclusion, that frankly, ''Twilight'' is one incredibly shoddy piece of literature. Shoddy enough to be somewhat enjoyable, likeable, or socalled ''guilty pleasure'', but still, completely, utterly, supremely, exceedingly shoddy. So what do I think, why so many people love ''Twilight''? Since Meyer left one important detail the main character's personality unwritten and

marriage, Henry, with an eye also to seizing the vast and wealthy holdings of the Church, overthrew papal jurisdiction, married Anne Boleyn, and was declared, with Parliament's help, head of the English Church. Thus England became a Protestant nation. 8. Why was the time of Queen Mary's reign a troubled time? Mary was a devout Catholic. Her attempts to restore Catholicism to the country resulted in internal turmoil and much bloodshed. 9. In what way was Elizabeth I able to keep peace and order in the country? Under Elizabeth, order was restored and England entered upon her most glorious age. Elizabeth ruled wisely and well for 45 years. Through her policy of middle-of-the-road Protestantism, she held in check throughout her reign the proponents of Catholicism on one hand and the growing numbers of Puritan extremists on the other. A master politician, wise in the choice of her councilors, Elizabeth established a strong central

Hypermobility. The effect of hypermobility on flexibility

braces during physial activities as well. Joint hypermobility needs a prompt reaction when discovered at an early age. If JMS is detected as a child, hyperextension may not form at all.4 Based on the information Mayo Clinic5 provides, a child who has a tendency for double-jointedness may eventually lose the ability to hyperextend oneself. As a matter of fact, it is not true6 because the people who are unusually flexible, have a condition of hyperlaxity or are able to bend over a normal person’s pliability have better chances to improve their flexibility. Although the more muscle mass one has, the less flexible one is. Athletes have the most limited range of motion for all joints because their muscle mass is constantly growing as well as they skip stretching continuously. The only sports that evolve muscle mass and joint flexibility at the same time are powerlifting, gymnasts, dancing and martial arts. For instance, an American powerlifter Sarah

Music review

the deluxe version is named "Are You Ready?" and the two acoustic versions are of "I Hate Everything About You" and "Drown". When I first listened to this album, I didn't like it as much as I enjoyed listening to "One- X". But as I listened to the songs repeatedly, my sympathy for this particular album grew and soon I knew that it would be my favourite collection of songs for a long time. I like all of the tracks, which is very unusual for me, as I usually like only one song while I am able to despise all the rest of the tracks on the CD. The songs don't give you the feeling when you're listening to love songs or tracks about strong positive feelings. These musical pieces concentrate more on the negative feelings a person can feel and why some have to go through such bad experiences. The tracks are built on pain and anger, emotions that every living person feels but rarely do we sing about them. When I listen to Three Days Grace, especially when I'm angry or consumed by some

Natural disasters

come crashing into Earth causing destruction on a worldwide scale. Earthquakes and tidal waves are being released upon the world to wreak havoc are often the after effects. The Earth's winds also carry the dust, sent into the sky from impact, across the globe. This dust can become so thick that it blocks out the sun, killing off all life on the planet. But, for a counterweight to the meteors, humans are nearing completion of a worldwide tactical nuclear missile strike system, able to easily destroy any incoming meteoroids. Though this will also destroy our atmosphere and we really don't need that but that doesn't make the fact disappear that we have the system. In the end we are, every day, still at the mercy of nature and her disasters. We can only hope that we can quickly develop ways to predict and prevent these attacks. Written by: Kaido Hanni

James Watt

The results of experiments showed him that Newcomen´s steam engine was founded on the wrong principle. Watt built a new type of engine, with a separate condenser and an air pump. This was a great discovery and his engine was soon successful. He went into partnership with a Birmingham engineer named boulton. They started making the improved engine at his works. It was a great success. In 1781 he built an engine which could run machines, a thing no steam engine had ever been able to do before. Watt´s engine became the basis of industry. Watt didn´t work on his engine only. He made a number of other inventions of different kind. The most important was copying machine. Watt´s copying machine was used all over the country for about 100 years until the typewriter took its place. In physics the unit of electric power or activity was named ,,a watt" after him. At the age of 64, Watt retired. But he still continued experimenting

• The Tasmanian Tiger was the largest known carnivorous marsupial of modern times. • Native to continental Australia, Tasmania and New Guinea. • Believed to have become extinct in the 20th century. • Became extremely rare or extinct on the Australian mainland before British settlement of the continent, but it survived to the 1930s on the island of Tasmania. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6vqCCI1ZF7o • The thylacine was able to open its jaws to an unusual extent: up to 120 degrees. This capability can be seen in part in David Fleay's short black-and- white film sequence of a captive thylacine from 1933. The jaws were muscular but weak and had 46 teeth. • The thylacine held the title of Australia's largest predator until about 3500 years ago. • The thylacine resembled a large, short-haired dog with a stiff tail which smoothly extended from the body in a

Chinese toy factories introduction  There’s a reason how US children can have their toys so cheap.  About 75% of the world's toys come from China, where migrant workers are paid an average salary of $240 a month.  Extreme poverty in China's rural areas drives many people from the countryside into the cities to look for these types of jobs.  facts  Every day, the workers have to arrive 15 minutes before the regular work shift begins for a work assembly.  Their living conditions are prison-like. Up to six people share small, cramped dormitories and up to 50 people share one bathroom.  Schools send student workers to these factories to do “internships."  Some factories promise workers a 10- minute break after every two hours of work.  Most workers never have benefited from these promises.  After the work shift, there's another work assembly that lasts 15 minutes.  Even during the 30-minute l...
