Revolutionary period literature 17661799 Geographical lines were now forgotten, the literature of this period is no longer local. Literature presents the vivid reflection of that momentous struggle for independence upon which the American colonies had entered. Fiery speeches, able arguments set forth in newspapers and in pamphlets, sharp and bitter satire. From the beginning of the conflict to the end, there was a copious flow of verse which sprang naturally enough from the turbulence of popular excitement and emotion. Poets John Trumbull Joel Barlow (17501831) (17541812) McFingal The Columbiad Timothy Dwight (17521817) The Conquest of Canaan Columbia, Columbia, to glory arise I Love thy
Having children while young Some people say that having childern while young is the best time of your life. However, being a child has both advantages and disadvantages. On the plus side, you will still remember what's like to be a kid. Sure you will remember that in your 30s and 40s, but the more younger you are the more likely you are able to truly understand and relate to your child. All in all It's difficult to be sympathetic to someones problems when you dont know what they are going throught. However, for every plus side there is a minus. For one thing, you have to spend all day with your kid and can't go out when ever you want to. Sometimes when you are getting a child while you are still studying in a school you have to drop out of scool and go to work. But that means you cant acquire better knowledge ,
Too many people spend too much time playing games and sports Most of the people are not able to imagine their own world without either games or sports. Some say that people nowadays spend too much time playing games and sports. It is my opinion that it is important to do sports and playing games is developing. First of all, there aren’t too many people who do sports, i’d say too less. Most people I know enjoy staying indoors. I think everyone should take part in sports in order to have healthy body and a healthy mind. Secondly, playing computer games is rather good than bad

play cards. Everything we do, gives us more experience at something, therefore hobbies contribute to our personal development a lot. The one hobby I will discuss and which is one of my own personal hobbies, is playing Texas Hold'em which is a form of poker. Although some people might just label it as gambling, poker is largely a skill game which has very little to do with luck rather than mathematics, reading people's body language and keeping track of people's previous behaviour. In able to play poker smart, you must be quick at calculating your odds and the value of your next move, just like in chess. Another very important skill is reading other people's reactions in the table, understand their body language, which often tells you exactly, which two cards they are holding. This can also used elsewhere, for example, some professional poker players can tell a lie from someone's behaviour almost instantly.
Nobody can win a war. Historically people have always been at war. Everyone had their own reason for a war. One thought, that getting of the worldwide power is the goal of his life, another wanted to get more money, territory or even some kind of revenge. Bur war brings with it human's deaths, innocent victims, hunger, illnesses, violence, distractions etc. Is this worth fighting? On the one hand, there are some people who are able to kill houndreds of innocent victims to make his goal realized, because he has a power and he is allowed to do everything he wants. In addition to that, sometimes people use a war just to justify their revenge, they just use the power, they have, to satisfy own ambitions to feel a win's spirit. So they become winners, but it is only formally. On the other hand, there is only one advantage of a war getting some territory or money, but it
Choices after secondary school There are lots of choices after secondary school. The main question is, which is better to do - to work or go to university. Both options give many advantages. Firstly, many young people couldn't choose the subject that they are likely to learn. Working can show if there are any of professions you're good at, as it will improve your interest in certain occupations. On the other hand, it is better not to let years between studies. Researches have shown that students, who have worked for few years after secondary school, can't concentrate on their lessons as much as those whose first choice was university. Thirdly, novadays students more often are facing financial problems. Lots of them are thinking that it is useful to work abroad in order to pay fees at university. Also, working in foreign countries is an advantage to improve your language skills. Last but not least, I think eightteen-year-old studen...
Furthermore, cars are very small and comfortable, that we can easily drive close to different buildings. People argue that cities would be less polluted if cars were banned. They are on opinion that our health is at risk as well as the envinronment and they suggest to use public transport instead of using cars. In conclusinon, in my view, cars are great in many ways and they should certainly not be banned. They have become very necessary for people, who are able to drive their cars with care and attention and who appreciate comfort.
Homosexual people all over the world fight for their right and demand them. They want to legalize gay marriages and many countries allow people of the same gender to marry. Gays want to adobt children too, but people are more against it. Gay marriages are more for that people would accept them and get more used with them. Marriage makes them more equal with straight people and more rights. This helps them adopting children too. It shows, that two people have a great bound and they're able to adobt and raise a child. They may be good parents, but it's going to be a hard life for that child because of his gay parents. And maybe parents would even effect child sexual orientation. Surrounding ideology tells us what is beautiful, wrong, good and so on. So when childs parents are gays, maybe it can effect child too and make him gay. In my opinion gays are good average people, but I don't support their marriages and child adopting, because gay men spread AIDS
To: John Howell From: Anna Abi Subject: Suggestions Date: 2nd March 2009 Purpose The purpose of this report is to suggest ways of making the shop more profitable. Rewards cards Firstly, I think it would be a good idea to start giving out rewards cards to loyal customers to show them that we value them as clients and it would also show to our future clients that we are a company that supports their customers. Lower prices Secondly, I would suggest slightly lowering our prices and letting the public know of it. We should grow a reputation as a company that is not trying to rob their clients of their money. This would be a great advertisement for the shop and would boost our clientele, making up for the little lost from the lower prices. Advertising campaigns Finally, we should start an advertising campaign. We should invest a good sum of money into it as without people hearing about our shop, we cannot grow. A good idea would be to th...

Every person is unique and each leaders has different leading techniques. First of all, leadership is an art. It is because it continually evolves, changes form, and requires creativity. It is a science because there are certain principles and techniques required. A good leader knows when it is time to change shape. A great leader allows creativity to be unleashed and takes risks. Person like that can transform his or her organization for major developement. A good leader needs to be able to laugh but a great leader should be abel to laugh at oneself. Secondly, a good leader is considering with his employees. Of course he or she has to have skills and knowledge on how to motivate workers and pave the way for company's success, but one cannot forget that leading requires a big responsibility. For example, if the head of a company makes bad financial decisions, everyone on that company is being influenced. In conclusin, I can say that the shape of a leader is never plain
the majority of pollutants released into the air. Air pollution has been a problem throughout history. Even in Ancient Romepeople complained about smoke put into the atmosphere. The effects of air pollution are diverse and numerous. Air pollution can have serious consequences for the health of human beings, and also severely affects natural ecosystems. Because it is located in the atmosphere, air pollution is able to travel easily. As a result, air pollution is a global problem and has been the subject of global cooperation and conflict. Some areas now suffer more than others from air pollution. Cities with large numbers of automobiles or those that use great quantities of coal often suffer most severely from problems of air pollution. CAUSES There are many different chemical substances that contribute to air pollution. These chemicals come from a variety of sources.
Water pollution Secondly, water pollution is also a main issue. Many peole throw rubbish in rivers and lakes. Ships at the sea cause oil problems, where oil flows in the water and causes a lot of damage, like killing the sea animals and also birds, who are on the seacoast, where the oil reaches. When these problems continue, soon we won't be able to swim in a clean body of water and the drinking water becomes unusable. In some places there are floods after the snow melts or in autumn, when raining cause sea level rising. When water retreats, it brings along trash and rubbish from the streets in the sea or rivers. Many peole have built ramparts, to avoid the consequence of floods and also picked up rubbish from coasts, where seawaves have washed the trash.
Sheep senses and social cognition Sheep generally are held in low regard as far as cognition and social skills are concerned. However there is now interesting evidence from studies of their behaviour and brain function that they have highly sophisticated social and emotional recognition skills using faces, voices and smell. They are able to recognize and remember many diferent sheep and humans for several years or more and appear to have some capacity for forming mental images of the faces of absent individuals. The precence of such social cognition abilities in this species means that we must pay careful attention to welfare factors such as the composition and stability of their social environment as well as the nature of our own interactions with them.

The smoke is many harmful substances that destroy the human body. Young people who smoke do not think about what awaits them in the future .Each smoke, they pulled by damaging their body. Smoking is harmful to humans. The smoke contains many toxic agents. Smoking causes all sorts of horrible diseases - which can be fatal. Usually young people begin to smoke mostly out of boredom or large nervous tension. Many young people also want desperately to quit, but they will not be able to the more so because the body is accustomed to smoke too much, and if they can not reach your collection they become nervous. Smoking damages the nerve cells. If a person does not smoke anymore, he starts to heal the whole feeling in a few days. Physical form and stamina will increase slowly. Economically, the person holds a total of smoke at the expense of thousands of euros a year. When people stop smoking, lose many of their jobs
First of all because this development would save customer’s money and I think we shouldn’t have to pay for our daily news. People who don’t want to pay for the newspaper are already checking the most important news online which are usually free. Another reason for this progress is that online newspapers have been made so easy to access. There were times when people could only get their newspapers by mail or from store, but now they just have to find Wi-Fi and use their gadget to be able to catch up with the latest news. In addition, even the most frequently published papers are only distributed once per day. This simply means that papers can’t compete with the Internet, because there we can see changes almost every hour. However, I can see why other people may think differently. The newspapers printed on paper have become a tradition which is going to be hard to let go. Quite a few people have grown up with the normal newspaper and for them it has sentimental value.

every pupil separately. Teachers do not have the time to focus to more than homeschooled children. Homeschoolers have to find every student's weaknesses and help them in specific areas. another way to make friends and communicate. Homeschooled child can receive enough help where needed. What is On the whole both options, homeschooling and state school, have more that homeschooler's parents are able to witness and guide their their pros and cons. To my mind both are great options. In the end it child's development but parents of pupils in state schools are not is parents and their children's decision. associated with their child's development and cannot witness everything. Also teachers in state schools teach because they are paid
If the words are taught after the target text, then the meaning of the words will be more understandable. In this case, the `matching' is the best thing to learn new words. The definition will be given to a learner and he/she has to find the word with the identical meaning in the text. What should be added to the topic, I believe, not hundred percent of new words will be learnt by students. However, this is a great practice for them, to be able to find associations, approximate meaning of the words, if they know the theme and the material based on the text.

children. Äääääääääääääääääääääääääää Current high school students are becoming fatter, slower, and less motivated than past students. Many of these young people would prefer to be sitting passively in front of the television rather than to do something physically active. Most high school students believe they do not have sufficient time, opportunity or guidance to participate in physical activities. The ideal place in which students would be able to find adequate time, opportunity and guidance are in the high schools themselves.
The ideal school for my children would be communication-based, blending aspects of social work, conflict resolution, team building, and traditional learning. Classes would be limited to fifteen students, a size small enough to allow individual attention but large enough to furnish the feeling of belonging to a group. In addition, academic lessons would be split into two halves. The first half would be a basic skills seminar, and the second an advanced class. Students would be able to choose whether to stay the second half, or else they could leave to work on their current project, read, or pursue an independent study of another subject. The students who stayed - the "second halfers" - would be known as the students with the greatest passion for the subject. No grades or competition would exist. Rather, the motivation to work would come from a desire to earn the respect of teachers and fellow students and establish a positive self-identity
Friendship Friendship is an in-depth relationship combining trust, support, loyalty, respect and understanding. Being able to trust and relax with your friend is a big part of friendship. Friendship is a feeling of comfort and emotional safety with a person. It is when you do not have to weigh your thoughts and measure words, before keeping it forth before your friend. It is when someone knows you better than yourself and assures to be your side in every emotional crisis. Different people have different definitions of friendship. For some, it is the trust in an individual that he or she won't hurt you

with others. In state schools child can do teamwork and it is very usefull. To sum up there are some good things and bad things in home schooling. But it seems to me that state school is better way, because when you grow up in society it is easier to move on. · Parents have the freedom to decide what to teach · Parents have the freedom to decide how to teach · Parents can teach their children more than just facts · They are able to spend more time together · Children can study subjects, which aren't included in the school curriculum · When children learning what interests them, it motivates them to learn even more · When a child's curriculum is directly linked to them, they will never get bored · Children learn how to find out information for themselves · They are encouraged to think for themselves and use their initiative
appear to be looking at the Needle rather than guarding it. This is due to the Sphinxes' improper or backwards installation. The setting is neatly completed by two large bronze Sphinxes which lie on either side of the Needle. These are a very Victorian version of the traditional Egyptian original, but still look impressive. I think, that Cleopatra's needle has a big importance in Egypt history. And it is good to have such a great monument in England. Someday, when I'm able to visit England, I will certainly go and see it by myself.

Money is something that can cause a lot of trouble, it makes people greedy and it can even ruin relationships, but it is also something we cannot live without. That is why people need to be rational and understand that money is important and makes our lives easier but we still need to appreciate that people whom we love are more important. To sum up, I would say that money is definitely not the most important thing in the world, but still, we wouldn't be able to survive if we believed that we don't need any money. People need to understand that we need money to live, to eat and to stay warm and healthy but we can't be truly and completely happy without the love of our friends and family.
Versatile Display Finally, last suggestion would be to try to save as much space as we can by using multiuse space. By doing this, we would save a lot of money as well as allowing us to use multiple products in limited space. Conclusion To sum up, the above mentioned tips are just a few of the many what you may want to think about implementing to make the store a profitable one. I am convinced that if we include some of the suggestions above, we will be able to develop a fairly large customer base and get bigger profits.
ground, where it won't face the environment. However we shouldn't depend on nuclear energy as Uranium reserves are ending, especially when the world population is increasing and so is the demand for energy. There is Uranium in seawater, but getting it is too expensive. We can only depend on nuclear power for a few years or decades. On the other hand, we will always have wind and solar power. Right now, producing solar energy is quite expensive but as technology improves, we will hopefully be able to produce solar energy with lower costs. The world should use as much wind and solar power as possible. As years go by, we will hopefully find a way to produce cheap and environmentally- friendly energy, but right now, we can't give up nuclear energy. At the moment we can say it is a blessing since we need it but in future it probably won't be.
The lessons would take place in an old manor, where doors opening and closing by themselves wouldn't be anything unique. The classes would be small, but cosy and warm. We'd have a huge library with hundreds of old books. There would be a huge section only for romantic novels and books about love stories. The lessons would start at 9am. In my ideal school I'd have to study the average level of general subjects. There would also be certain amount of specialty studies, which I could be able to choose for myself. There wouldn't be too much homework, because the students would manage to finish their tasks in class. After the lessons students could go on free bus trips to anywhere in Estonia. They could visit different museums and churches or just see the beauty of our nature. That would be a great get-away from our everyday life! Let's not forget about the rules! In my ideal school the most important rule would be very simple keep calm and quiet. It's important to study
Report To: From: Subject: School Brochure Date: 5.12.2010 Purpose The purpose of this report is to make reccmmendations regarding which aspects of life at the school should be represented in the brochure and which photographs should be used. Short History of the School In the brochure, there should be a section for the school history to show people how long this school has been working and how successful it has been over the years. Secondly, why there should be a part fot history is for people to understand the school's motto and ethics better. Other Schools in the Area In my opinion, other schools in the area should also be noted because it shows the good location of this school. Having other good and wealthy schools in the area, gives us the possibility to show us from the same side. School Activities In addition to these, we should mention the different activities that we have in our school. We should mention activities such as ...

Also, when teenagers see some beautiful advertisement with lots of people who are having a party with drinks they want to be like them. What is more, these commercials teach them that a party is more fun with different alcoholic drinks. Finally, different clubs and pubs security guards should ask more effectively for documents to prove the age of the visitors. Too many teenagers are visiting clubs because they can get in easily. When security guards ask for documents then youngsters are not able to get any alcohol because shops are also closed by the time. All things considered, media should not promote drinking and people have to think more carefully before they take their alcohol bottle. When commercials are banned and people have stopped drinking we have got hard working and smart people, not socially excluded people.
I'm very interested in Your service and would like to get some suggestions on a trip around the UK. I am planning to travel with 3 people in the end of August. Our budget is reasonable, we're not interested in anything high-end, but we definetly expect a comfortable bed and a good breakfast for our money. We are not interested in museums, nightlife or anything of that sort but of an active holiday we would like to be able to go rafting, hiking and swimming during our vacation. We also wouldn't mind if some of our trip was by bike, but not all of it. The trip is going to last for two weeks and we don't want to be on the road for too long so 3 locations at max. We haven't decided on places to visit, so any suggestions would be great. I'm looking forward to Your proposal and reply! Your's sincerely Mari Mets
class society as such. Why to be against Marxism? 1. Marxism removes incentive, with the slogan “From each according to his ability, to each according to his need” which implies that you should only get what you need, regardless of productivity or skill, which discourages people from working hard, forces production to fall, which reduces wealth, and ultimately societal wellbeing. 2. Equality of outcome would stop productive people from being able to produce as much as they can and force those less gifted to work to the bone. 3. Classless society means there’s no need in making a step forward in self-growth in order to gain higher positions which directly leads to hire wealth Would Marxism work in modern world? From my point of view, no. These thought is because of the fact that modern society with all its achievements of science, technique and industry point the way forward to a dazzling future of
What does "being free" mean? Freedom plays an important role in our everyday life. It is hard to understand what "being free" mean as every person has his own view on it, which depends on our lifestyle and upbringings. There are a lot of kinds of freedom in the modern world. It can affect on people`s life positively as well as may cause different problems. To begin with, there are certain arguments in favour of being free. Firstly, people in developed countries have a freedom of speech. As a result, democratic policy in such regions offers a great opportunity to citizens to have their opinions heard and be considered. Moreover, some people suggest that being free mean material independence. If a man provide himself (materially), he is able to act as he wants to do it. In spite of having many advantages, being free may also be harmful for certain people. The most important disadvantage is that too much freedom in children`s upbringings ...
ignorance and power is going to blow up in our faces." We have reached a situation where people communicate much less face to face. They communicate much more on the internet in chat rooms. It has created a situation where people have a problem with formal e-mails or documents. We have reached a situation, where many people think, it is normal, when you are always online in facebook or on the internet. There have been incidents when people have not been able to keep their promises. They have made appointments but have decided to cancel them and have sent an e-mail. Unfortunately, the other person has not read the mail. In addition to, some people would like to live in the virtual world. Their minds are always on a video game. It is like a drug or narcotic. It affects people mentality and damages spirit. We have cases where people freak out and don't even take care of their own hygiene. Our society has children who come home
