Cinema is the most restricitve medium

For example time limit of the films, budget, how it affects writer and director, what kind of choices they have to make, and how the audience come into play. Personally, i don’t consider cinema as a restrictive medium. Cinema’s most restrictive feature is time. Filmmakers must fit very good shots edited into very good storyline into one and a half to three hour movie, usually. The reason being, we get uncomfortable sitting long period of time. If the movies would be longer, we would lose interest and start doing something else. We would simply get uncomfortable sitting on a chair and the whole cinema experience would become agony. Furthermore, producing films can be expensive, especially longer films. All human resources want to be paid an hour wage, renting and building sets cost money etc. So, in the long term, making longer films more than 3 hours is not that good idea. Longer films would start losing money. Films in ordinary cinema are not long

The school year should last from 1st September to 22 June

The school year should last from 1st September to 22 June There is no doubt that the school has a big role in our lives. It teatches us how to cope with our life. But what are the pros and cons, if the school would last longer? Firstly, if the government wants to shorten our summer break, then we would not have enough time to rest or visit our relatives. And when the school starts again in the autumn, then many of us would have no motivation to learn. And because of that, our grades starts to deteriorate. Sometimes the school may be very stressful too and then the summer holiday is very good time to rest and deal with other things. Especially when you do not live at home, during the school and

Product Presentation Lasnamäe prisma, My company has a first class hairdryer called the BaByliss 5568U Salon Light 2100w AC that we believe you might be interested in purchasing to stock at your store. Our hairdryer is lightweight and has a 3 metre long power cord, which is 1.2 metres longer than the power cord of hairdryers such as the Remington Luxe AC. We believe this improves customer satisfaction with the hairdryer, as customer reviews show that they rate hairdryers with longer cords more highly than those with shorter cords. Our product also has a removeable filter, therefore the customer can clean it easily and efficiently, thus freeing up their time so that they can do other things. The long-life AC motor of the hairdryer gives the customer a high-power airflow for a faster drying time. It has three heat and two speed settings and also a cold shot button, which is superior to a similar hairdryer such as the TRESemmé 5542DU Power 2200w hairdryer,

Advantages and disadvantages of taking a cap year - essay

Advantages and disadvantages of taking a gap year Many students take a gap year before going to university after graduating from high school to have a little longer holiday after being in school for twelve or more years. But, is it the best choice? What good or bad could that do? For sure one year makes a difference, it can make people lazier, but it can also give time to think about his/her future plans. There can be many reasons for a gap year: money, people go to work or some people go to the army for not taking a year for the army during studies in the university or just being tired of school.

Golf

A 'round' typically consists of 18 holes that are played in the order determined by the course layout. On a nine- hole course, a standard round consists of two consecutive nine-hole rounds. Golf clubs are used to hit the golf ball. Each club is composed of a shaft with a lance (or 'grip') on the top end and a club head on the bottom. Long clubs, which have a lower amount of degreed loft, are those meant to propel the ball a comparatively longer distance, and short clubs a higher degree of loft and a comparatively shorter distance. Typically, the actual physical length of each club is longer or shorter, depending on the distance the club is intended to propel the ball.

our cars. Petroleum is a liquid that can be found in earth's crust. It is used as fuel and as a raw material in chemical industry. It is very important we use renewable and non-renewable resources wisely. If a resource is used and thrown away, eventually the resource becomes scarce. When the supply decreases, its price will increase. Products that are made from that resource would increase in price too. Sometimes resources become so rare they can no longer be used. In these cases, substitute resources may be used, which may make a poorer quality product, or one that is more expensive. If substitutes can not be used, some products could no longer be made. Wise use of resources includes not throwing away products that are reuseable or recyclable. When these products are reused or recycled, it maintains resource availability, uses less landfill space, and uses less energy.

Finally they realized, that the only ones shortening our life are ourselves. We do it to ourselves. That's why everybody started living healthy. But is living a healthy life an easy way of living? In my point of view a healthy lifestyle is only healthy, when one does it in the right amount. You can do more damage to your body if you don't do it correctly. For example you can start working out. Nevertheless, the feeling about this phenomenon has been variable; in primitive societies, narrative is never undertaken by a person, but by a mediator, shaman or speaker, whose “perfor-

Hoe to write an argumentative essay?

An argumentative essay is a formal, impersonal piece of writing in which the writer is either expected to give a balanced consideration of a particular topic, or to state their own opinion clearly and then support it by giving reasons. An essay should begin with an introduction in which some background information is given about the problem that is going to be discussed. The angle from which the problem is going to be looked upon in the essay is also stated. In longer essays these are in different paragraphs, in shorter ones they can be in one paragraph. The body of the essay usually consists of several paragraphs, the number of which depends on the length of the essay. Each paragraph should begin with a topic sentence. The following sentences should enlarge on the theme, give examples, etc. If it is an essay discussing the advantages and disadvantages of something, the advantages should be grouped together and so should be the disadvantages

Am I an optimist or pessimist We live a hard life, we need to deal with many problems. And everyone looks at these problems in there own way. Some of the people are optimistic and the others are not. But is my glass half-full or half-empty? To answer this question I have to weigh all the pros and cons. For example, sometimes in hard situations I just give up, because I just can no longer force this. But I still know, that somewhere deep in my heart there is hope that everything will be alright. That is why I can proudly call myself an optimistic person! And I want to give you good advice! Even on those days when nothing in your life seems to be going right, it can be really tough to see the silver lining among all those clouds. But ability to see the good in even the worst situations is so important. Try to be more optimistic and you will see-life is not that bad!

another disadvantage. If most humans choose to be immortals, the Earth would obviously be not able to sustain them and their needs. We would be still threatened to non-natural deaths, like different illnesses, fire or flood. It would still take time to do things. If Iwere the only one living forever, I would have to watch people die around me, particularly myloved ones. I think this is the biggest disadvantages there is to living forever . All in all living longer is another story. I often wish I had a device that could slow down, or even freeze time for everything around me at my own will. I could enjoy the good times for longer periods of time. I would still age. I would still die. But I would accomplish more. But coming back to reality, we have to remeber as I said in the beginning - the idea of living forever remains locked to science-fiction. Worked : Pamela Metushaj

I know that when I am going through a tough situation, I always ask my closest friends for advice.

Revolutionary period literature

Revolutionary period literature 17661799 Geographical lines were now forgotten, the literature of this period is no longer local. Literature presents the vivid reflection of that momentous struggle for independence upon which the American colonies had entered. Fiery speeches, able arguments set forth in newspapers and in pamphlets, sharp and bitter satire. From the beginning of the conflict to the end, there was a copious flow of verse which sprang naturally enough from the turbulence of popular excitement and emotion. Poets John Trumbull Joel Barlow

Samsara

Samsara An hour and a half long movie, which at first seems to be my longest ninety minutes ever, hides some real beauty in it. The movie gives us an opportunity to see every side of our planet. It makes me want to go and see every part of it. Samsara is a kind of movie that, at first, makes you want to change the channel. However, it gets much better the longer you watch it. There is just so much to see. It makes us wonder how is it possible that something that breathtaking even exists. On the other hand, it might be a hard movie to watch for some people, because it is slow and just drags on in places. I am more than sure that there are some who would rather watch paint dry. In addition, there is no one talking in the movie. In conclusion, I would like to say that Samsara is undoubtedly an amazing movie when it comes to showing the planet we live on

car, we can get from one town to another much faster with driving than walking. Althought it is good and comfortable for humans, it is not good for the air we breathe because of the exhaust fumes. This is the example to my belief that every technology have pros and cons at the same time. Year by year people are getting used to get their work done by or with technology, that is why i think we may get lazy and do not value what we have to do to get something done. Technology helps us to live longer. Our medicine is on whole next level than it was a century ago. I am sure that in future our average age will raise. Even thought we develop technology for better life quality, we have to be careful not to harm ourselves because i am sure that there is no good without bad.

How can we reduce air pollution levels in our cities?

How can we reduce air pollution levels in our cities? Is the air in our cities clean? Unfortunately does not seem like it. Air is getting more polluted every day and we are constantly breathing that air. We need to do something fast before it is too late. Firstly, there is too much traffic in the city centre and cars emit bad fumes. A good idea would be to introduce parking and riding schemes. In this way there will be fewer cars in the city centre and in longer perspective air will get a lot cleaner. Another problem are factories polluting the air. There are so many factories that there is always smoke covering the city. It would help if we could create industrial parks. In this way less smoke will cover the city. Also a big issue is rubbish being burned. It would be a good idea to introduce a recycling scheme. In result less rubbish will get burned. In conclusion, there are many ways to make our cities cleaner. We all need to do whatever we

society. Nevertheless we have to find solution, which will last. Firstly, we have to create greater police presence. More officers means more people will certainly get help and feel safe again, which is the most important. Also criminals cannot accomplish crimes, because they definitely do not want to be caught. Secondly, we have to establish tougher sentences for those who commit crimes. First reason being is they will sit longer in prison. Second reason: delinquent will think before he does something. For intance murderer will get death penalty or perhaps some burglar will do community service for long hours. Another option is to teach children not to take a evil road. It takes time, but everything comes down to mind and thoughts. Specialist will give lectures about problem anticipation to parents, children. We have to give them education which will prevent them from doing offences.

Hiidhirv

HIIDHIRV Nüüdseks väljasurnud kahemeetrise turja kõrgusega hiidhirv elas palju kauem kui esialgu aravati, räägivad Briti teadlased. An extinct deer that stood more than two metres at the shoulder survived much longer than previously thought, British scientists report in the magazine Nature. Megaloceros giganteus (hiidsarv) ei olnud surnud veel enne 7000 aastat tagasi, mida on tõestanud Professor Andrian Lister ja Tony-Stuart londoni Stuarti , Profs. "About a boy"

"About a boy" Review This film is about a saying: "No man is an island," but the main character Will seems to think otherwise because he is always alone and he enjoys it. Eventually he meets some new people and realizes that he was wrong and that it is better to be honest and surrounded by good people. No-one should be alone in life and fortunately Will no longer has to be. I liked the film because it was gripping and moving. It made me feel like the characters. It was also funny and a bit sad. I think the funniest part was when the old lady that was invited to spend Christmas with everyone else misunderstood almost everything that was said. It was a really sweet and innocent mistake. I think this film has a brilliant soundtrack that fits with the scenes perfectly and brings out the emotions of the moment. The acting was great as well and

packed more capacity in less space and was durable enough for the harsh climates of wartime theaters like North Africa and the South Pacific--places where ordinary zinc carbon batteries used in flashlights, mine detectors, and walkie-talkies couldn't hold up. P.R. Mallory manufactured millions of mercury cells for the war effort. The Mallory Battery Company was formed shortly thereafter. And in 1950s they improved that battery, making it more compact, durable, and longer lasting. And now they are the world's leading producer of high-performance alkaline batteries. systems. These range from home systems to larger scale systems powering entire communities and cities. 2. Deforestation. While individuals can rarely have a personal impact on the deforestation rate, there are other things you can do. Discourage deforestation and thus environmental degradation by reusing plastic and paper bags and packaging. Support eco-friendly businesses and buy products that are either recyclable or have a longer durability. 3. Ozone layer depletion As with potable water depletion, the responsibility for stopping the ozone layer depletion lies on the shoulders of individuals and governments alike. People can contribute by not using products that contain human- made substances that destroy ozone molecules. Governments, on their side of the fight, can ban the use of said substances, as well as enforce regulations that make sure the equipment that
