Letter to uncle , letter 1
06.06.2002. Estonia
Dear Uncle
Hello uncle, I had a very nice time at your place , not like at home where
I can’t do the cool stuff like I did with you for example: mountain climbing .
I would like to see you at my place next summer .
Best wishes,
Mart
2,5 punkti. Korrektne algus- (Dear) ja lõppfraas (Best wishes). Kuupäeva esitamises on
kaldkriipsude asemel kasutatud punkte, Estonia peaks olema rea võrra allpool.

Dear uncle,
Thank you very much for having me in your place. It was realy wonderful and fun. I
hope to come back sometime. I am inviting you and your family to my place next
summer.
Your’s
Jüri
2 punkti. Lõpufraasis (Your’s) üleliigne ülakoma, samuti ei ole kuupäevale lisatud
aastanumbrit. Õigekirjaviga sõnas realy.
Letter 1
Dear pen- friend 6. June , 2002
Thank you for your letter! I will try to answer your questions now.
I do like films , but I think I am not such a fan like you are. I do not visit the cinema often,
because I do not like these commercial films, they show there . I do not watch the TV much
either, because I do not have time for that.
To tell you the truth , I do not have my favourite film . I like best some ‘freak films’ which
are maybe a little weard and most people probably would not like these. I am a little odd
myself , so … . Actually I like some documetary films too. They are realistic and sometimes
sad and even depressing, but they show the life the way it is.
Actually, for the summer I have no film plans , I will go to one theatre - festival though, but I
think that I will have a rest from films and the TV, spend the summer in the country and in
the nature .
With love,
Tiiu
Kiri korrektselt liigendatud ( käsitletud 3 aspekti) vormistatud, v. a. lõpufraas, kus sõna
With on ülearune. Kirja toon on liiga ametlik ( formal register ). Esineb probleeme artikli
the kasutusega, sõna weird on kirjutatud valesti (weard).

Letter 2
I watch films from TV, computer and sometimes I even go to the cinema. At the cinema I
watch new movies , I just can’t wait untill they would show them on TV. So, I waiste money
to see them earlier. Half of the day I’m stearing at the TV doing allmost nothing , or
playing ‘ Playstation ’.
There are a lot of good films that I have seen , but only one really is the real pearl ‘The
Matrix ’. My parents said that there was to much talk , little action , but I really, really liked
the places where Keanu Reeves escapes the bullets by moving in slow motion. Then I know
one good movie like ‘Operation: Swordfish’. There were nice explosions and a war
between the cops and criminals what seemed not to end. I like Travolta’s acting skills to.
At this summer I’m going to buy a computer which would give me an oppurtunity to drag
films from the internet . Then there is a big possibility that I’m going to ware glasses after
watching it for a long time. Maybe we could meet each other someday and discuss the
films we have or haven ’t seen. Write me about your summer plans involving movies.
Tekst ei ole liigendatud lõikudeks, puuduvad alguse-, lõpufraasid ning sissejuhatav lause.
Esineb palju grammatika/õigekirja vigu (untill, allmost, to too asemel, stearing,
oppurtunity, ware etc.), asesõna what vale kasutus. Sõnavara on üldiselt küllalt lai ja
sobilik kuid valitseb segadus Briti/Ameerika inglise keele variantide vahel, läbisegi
kasutatakse sõnu film/movie. Samas on arutletud etteantud kolmel erineval aspektil (oma
arvamus, lemmikfilm ja tulevikuplaanid).

Kordamine inglise keele eksamiks

Kordamine inglise keele eksamiks A 1.1 Read the text and answer the questions below. Dear Mary-Alice, It's been ages since I last wrote to you, isn't it weird? Yes, so it is, but, I do have a certain reason. Do you remember Sir Thom of the Minquettes'? That fine young man with fascinating blue eyes... Oh, my sweet Mary, you will never guess what happened yesterday! It was about seven o'clock in the evening when Lillian called me out for a walk you know I can't say `no' to my little sis. Anyway we went to the forest near the Swan Lake and, believe it or not, got lost! Awful! I was so scared... We walked and walked, not even knowing the direction we were heading to, until we reached a huge mansion. And the garden around it was so extraordinary... That is something you just must see! But neither the trees nor flowers could be as wonderful as the owner himself! Sir Thom treated us tea and sandwiches, not forgetting to show us way back to the village. He was so kind, don't you think?

Letter to aunt Anette

Estonia 01/03/04 Dear aunt Anette, Thank you for your letter. I hope you and uncle Joe are well and that you'll find a good place for living. At school is a very terrible time at the moment. I have to spend all my time to studing, because the exams are coming, as you know. I'm not very good at maths so I'm thinking about taking a private teacher. It's quite expensive, but I have to pass the exams, so It's OK. Thanks for the invitation to visit you at London. I've never been there but I'm sure It's great. I would love to see you after these years. I think you have not change at all. I'm glad that I can see uncle Joe for last! You have written so much about him. Did he bought a new car yet? If It's okay to you I'll visit you and uncle Joe in the middle of summer. It will be a very busy summer to me. When the ex

ENGLISH TOPICS - palju teemasid inglise keele riigieksami kordamiseks

British Cuisine Some people criticize English food. They say it's unimaginable, boring, tasteless, it's chips with everything and totally overcooked vegetables. The basic ingredients, when fresh, are so full of flavour that British haven't had to invent sauces to disguise their natural taste. What can compare with fresh pees or new potatoes just boiled and served with butter? Why drown spring lamb in wine or cream and spices, when with just one or two herbs it is absolutely delicious? If you ask foreigners to name some typically English dishes, they will probably say "Fish and chips" then stop. It is disappointing, but true that, there is no tradition in England of eating in restaurants, because the food doesn't lend itself to such preparation. English cooking is found at home. So it is difficult to a good English restaurant with a reasonable prices. In most cities in Britain you'll find Indian, Chinese, French and Italian restaurants. In London you'll also find Indonesian,
