The School I come from The school I come from, is named Anna Haava nimeline Pala school and there learns a little bit less than 100 students, I learned there from 7-9 grade. I started learning English in third grade and if I remember correctly then our teachers name was Reet Ernits but she is not the only who has taught me English So far I have had five teachers (not including my current teacher), who all have been very different but they had one thing in common, they all used I love English books. With my first teacher we wrote down lots of rules about grammar and other stuff like that but I did not understand them so for me it was more like a waste of time. With my second, third and fourth teacher I met in Jõhvi High school and they all were not good teachers because they did not want to teach us, during their lessons half of the class just played with their phones and other half of the class tried t...

I'm Alice, seven years and six months old and very good at daydreaming. I think so because my favourite phrase, that I use very often, is ,, Let's pretend" whether it is about pretending that Kitty is a chess pawn or that I'm going through the looking-glass. I always take my best friends, Snowbell, Dina and Kitty, with me to my quests but they seem to appear as someone else so I usually recognise them only later. But it doesn't matter. They're my best friends in the real world and I talk to them all the time. I think my characteristics come out the best during my dreams. For example I am very curious and I never settle with what's right in front of me. I always want to see more and to do that you also have to be very determined and brave. I wanted to see more from the Looking-Glass world than just the livingroom and after I was offered the chance to become a queen I did not once give up on the long trip to the Eighth Square. Even when ...
My name is Humpty Dumpty a perfect name for me as it means the good and handsome shape I am. I hate to be called and egg. I think it is very provoking. I look rather like any human being I have two eyes, a nose and a mouth. Maybe my head is a bit bigger than usual but it is very beautiful. Actually I am glad to be a bit different from humans as I don't really see the different in their faces. I mean they all look alike. It would be way easier if some had, let's say, both eyes on one side of their nose. I love my life. I sit here, with my legs crossed, on this high and narrow wall and I am not afraid to fall. Well and even if I did fall, which will never happen, then the king promised me to send all his horses and his men and put me in my place again. But there is no need for it since this wall is my home and I am very sure in my capability of staying here. My most valuable asset is my cravat. It sometimes upsets me when others can...
My ideal house I would like to live in a place where there are some mountains with snow on top of them and a sea nearby because i like beaches and mountains. My house would be in the middle of them, so i could see the sea from one side and the mountains from the other side of the house. The house would have two floors and a basement because that's all i need. On the first floor, there would be the living room with a big tv and some antique furniture, the kitchen, also with antique style oven and etc. A bathroom with a large bathtub and sauna, plus there would be a porch looking towards the sea. On the second floor, there would be at least four bedrooms where my family/children would sleep. One of the bedrooms would be for guests. There would also be a second bathroom. All the rooms on the second floor would be decorated with some antiquity in mind. As you can see i like antique stuff, but with moder...
Comparison of "Beowulf" and "Grendel" by John Gardner The text has more or less the same meaning in both of the extracts. The differences lie in the language use, character types, speakers, layout etc. In the original "Beowulf" epic Grendel displays nothing but the most primitive human qualities. He is a grotesque monster who terrorizes a small community of Danish warriors. Therefore he can be called a flat character. In the book "Grendel" the protagonist and antagonist have been swapped. Gardner greatly alters the monster's characterization. In his novel, very little separates Grendel from his human counterparts: he has a high level of intelligence, as well as a human capacity for both emotion and philosophy. As the text is written in the first person point of view through Grendel's eyes, one gets a quite good picture of him. Unfortunately he is fighting with the inevitable. He keeps attacking and eating t...
THE U.K Different Parts The United Kingdom is a short way of saying the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. The UK is the political name for those countries which share a parliament in London. All of them were at one time independent kingdoms with their own monarch. Now they are all part of the same kingdom and share the same monarch. The UK consists of Northern Ireland, Scotland, England and Wales. The peoples of these countries are British subjects; they hold British passports and therefore their nationality is British. The british Isles is the geographical name for all the islands off the west coast of Europe. These islands also include The Republic of Ireland, which is politically independent of the Britsh government. Many people refer to the inhabitants of the British isles as 'the English', but England is only one of the countries. The other countries are Scotla...

We do not inherit the earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children Our planet has resources which are necessary for people's everyday life. As the population is growing the resources are decreasing. One of the things that affects the life on the earth is overconsumption. We consume more than what the earth can regenerate. This is a big problem because our exhaustible resources are running out. This is a problem that has huge consequences. It means that in the future people may not have enough resources, beacuse right now we are using too much. Secondly, there is a huge amout of waste and pollution. Clean air is our most valuable resource, but it is getting more and more polluted, in the same way as the water. For example, the pollution of water kills hundreds of thousands of birds and water animals. As a result of pollution , there are holes in the ozone layer, which in its turn loses some of its protection. Pollution is als...
Soomlase Juha Laitila 2007. aasta uurimustöös „Harvesting Technology and the Cost of Fuel Chips from Early Thinnings“ käsitletakse harvendusraiel kogutava küttelaastu tehnoloogiat ja maksumust.

Tallinn University TURKEY AND THE EUROPEAN UNION Tallinn 2013 INTRODUCTION The accession negotiations and the forthcoming Turkish accession present challenges to both Turkey and the EU. It is widely accepted that Turkey's accession would be different from previous enlargements because of the combined impact of Turkey's population, size, geographical location, economic, security and military potential. The case of Turkey will be different and more challenging from previous accessions for a number of reasons, some of them are presented below. Turkey is a country with a large population and geographic area. With a population of 74 million today, it is projected that it could be the largest member state at the time of accession. As a Moslem secular country, Turkey will also add a new demographic and religious dimension to the EU. Also, the presence of a large number of Turkish immigrants in European count...
We Do Not Inherit the Earth From our Ancestors; We Borrow It From Our Children Some of the people think that the Earth is like something, that we can take and it will grow back like apples every summer on trees. But I do not think it does. I think we borrow it from the future. Firstly we are using too much water nowadays. We are wasting it and not thinking about the future, but we should. Lately the media has started to speak more about the need for clean water, specially in some parts of the Earth. In the past people did not have showers or baths, toilets with water, dishwashers. These and many other things use more water, than people used to. Secondly we are producing a lot more, than we maybe should. It seems like the most meaningful thing nowadays is money. Maybe because of that we are over producing. If we look at the landfills we can see how full they are. I think it is that way because we produce too much and use too mu...
We do not inherit the Earth from our ancestors; we borrow it from our children There is a saying that „we do not inherit the Earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children.“ Nowadays people don not think about it and are ruining the planet. There are researches which say that the human life on Earth will go extinct within a century. Eventually the Earth will become uninhabitable. People cannot change the past but their actions affect the future. One of the ways how people are affecting the lives of future generations is increasing pollution. Clean air and water are the most valuable resources, but they are getting more and more polluted. For example the air in China is so polluted that people need to wear masks. The pollution of water kills hundreds of thousands of water animals and birds. Some of the big companies have accepted the problem and are taking action. For example M...

The longship is characterized as a graceful, long, narrow,...
My room I live in a comfortable city flat in a 9-stored block of flats not far from the centre of Tallinn. It is not a very green place, but still there are many trees around the house and in summer the yard looks very beautiful and cozy. The house is located comfortably because there a few supermarkets, pharmacies around. My flat is on the first floor. It's very comfortable and well-planned. There are three rooms, a kitchen, a bathroom and a balcony. The largest room in our flat is the living room and me and my husband room too. My family uses it as a sitting room. On the left there is my bed and desk. The desk has a lot of drawers where I keep my text-books, notes, pens, pencils and other necessary things. On the right there is a sofa and a built-in wardrobe. In the right corner there is a comfortable arm-chair. Beside it stands a lamp with blue shade. I like to turn on the lamp, sit in the arm-chair and read an interesting book. Ther...
Pros and cons of social networking “Connectivity is a human right.“ Said Mark Zuckerberg Dear friends. Today I’m here to talk about the pros and cons of social networking. We all use internet everyday but we don’t really know the influence of social networking in our lives. I think social networking sites allow people to improve their relationships and make new friends. It is good that people can instant message with people all the time all over the world. It makes people feel like they are not alone. However the con to this is that social media causes people to spend less time interacting face to face. I think it’s not good because if they are always in social media talking with friends then people can’t interact with people outside the internet. If the people are not used to speaking in real life then it could be difficult to impress yourself with words to other people and because of this it could be d...
Essay Online news portals will make the newspapers a thing of the past Technics and scient achievements are newing all the time. For that reason people get more and more comfortable and lazier. Old traditions and values are disappearing from people´s lives. For example- films are now in 3D and 4D, people can shop online, they don´t have to go to the library to borrow books- they can just get them for free or buy from internet E-books. And what´s main- newspapers are also disappearing, people read them online. Online news portals are eating newspapers out: they are comfortable, internet is accessible and fast and ofcourse, when something important happens on another side of the world, people can read information about it after 5-10 minutes, not like with newspapers, where information is available on the next day morning. I can say that, not like others, I prefer old-fashioned newspapers, ...

5c’s of Credit When you apply for a loan, the lender will evaluate your request in order to determine whether or not it is a good decision to lend you and your business money. A common evaluation framework is the Five C’s of Credit: capacity, capital, collateral, conditions and character. Capacity refers to your ability to meet the loan payments. The prospective lender will want to know exactly how you intend to repay the loan. The lender will consider the cash flow from the business, the timing of repayment, and the probability of successful repayment of the loan. Lenders will also consider payment history as an indicator of future payment potential. For example, if you have a history of not paying back loans then it becomes more difficult to obtain additional loans. Capital is the money invested in the business and is an indicator of how much is at risk should the business fail. Lender...
Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing to complain about the mobile phone which I bought from your store and about your customer service. I bought the phone on 15th September. I was told that the phone has guarantee for 6 months. It worked properly for three weeks. Then it suddenly stopped working, the screen went black and the buttons didn’t function. I immedately phoned your helpline and was told that this was completely my fault and i have to pay extra money for the repair. I think that it is unreasonable that I have to pay for the phone repair because guarantee is 6 months. I also think that in the future you should talk to your employees about their attitude. I would like to get my phone repaired for free. I look forward to hearing from you. Yours faithfully, xy
What are the best ways to prevent teenagers from committing crimes Nowadays there are many reasons why teenagers could be influenced into committing crimes. A lack of life experience can lead teenagers into criminal and even dangerous situations, such as robbery, taking drugs or drinking alcohol. I think, there are many ways to prevent teenagers from committing crimes. Firstly, I think, that teenagers lifestyle is their parents responsibility. Parents have to teach teenagers how to control their anger. Also it shouldn't be allowed for teenagers to watch cruel movies with violence. Moreover there are different programs, which help teenagers to use communication as a mean of handle conflicts, arguments and misunderstandings. Also there should be special lessons at school, which will help student to overcome with their problems. In conclusion I want to say, that there are many ways how to prevent teenagers from committing crimes. ...
The school year should last from 1st September to 22 June There is no doubt that the school has a big role in our lives. It teatches us how to cope with our life. But what are the pros and cons, if the school would last longer? Firstly, if the government wants to shorten our summer break, then we would not have enough time to rest or visit our relatives. And when the school starts again in the autumn, then many of us would have no motivation to learn. And because of that, our grades starts to deteriorate. Sometimes the school may be very stressful too and then the summer holiday is very good time to rest and deal with other things. Especially when you do not live at home, during the school and then the summer is the only time you can enjoy being home. But if the summer break is so little, then you can not do anything you want, because you always have to read books or do something else related with school. Still there a...

Homosexual people marching the streets of Järva-Jaani. Today, i was walking home from school, and i saw four gay couples marching the streets of Järva-Jaani. I was very annoyed because of the noise they were making and crappy music they were playing. I hope Arto Saar will do something about it, because i do not think i could stand another day having to walk past them. People of Järva-Jaani, I hope that you will help me freeze out these gay couples before there will be more of them walking the streets of my hometown. The thing is that in my opinion gay couples shouldn't be aloud to be openly ,,gay". It's disgusting and it is against God's will, I hope they will burn in hell.
BOOKS (From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia) A book is a set or collection of written, printed, illustrated, or blank sheets, made of paper, parchment, or other various material, usually fastened together to hinge at one side. All the world's a puzzle All the world's a stage, And all the men and women merely players; They have their exits and their entrances, And one man in his time plays many parts, His acts being seven ages. At first, the infant, Mewling and puking in the nurse's arms. Then the whining schoolboy, with his satchel And shining morning face, creeping like snail Unwillingly to school. And then the lover, Sighing like furnace, with a woeful ballad Made to his mistress' eyebrow. Then a soldier, Full of strange oaths and bearded like the pard, Jealous in honor, sudden and quick in quarrel, Seeking the bubble reputation Even in the cannon's mouth. And then the justice, In fair round belly with good capon lined, With eyes severe and beard of formal cut, Full of wise saws and modern instances; And so he plays his part. The sixth age shifts Into the lean and slippered pantaloon, With spectacles on nose and pouch on...

The number of unemployed people has reduced, still many private companies have struggles due to the fact that the income of consumers has been low and the ability to consume products provided by the companies has...

A person must suffer from the results of his own unwise actions. We all have responsibility for our actions. And everything we do wrong we are responsible for. And some major mistakes we make we have to be ready to be punished for it. If we make mistakes in our life then we have to be ready to suffer the consequences. Like if we leave the school without finishing it. Then we don't have the needed education and then we can't get so good jobs. Nowadays to get a good and well paid job you need a good education. And when we don't then we have to accept with something not so good. If we fail to do something that we have planned. Like when we fail an exam. Then our school results aren't so good, that all affects our future and our plans to go to colleges and universities. And when we don't achieve our goals, then our life is a little bit more complicated. We can't go to the universities we wish. We can all avoi...
How to deal with water shortage problems? Water covers more than 70% of the Earth's surface and it is the most valuable resource in the world. We need water to live on this planet otherwise life on Earth wouldn't be possible. Many countries suffer from water shortages. There is no fresh water for people usage. It's actually a major problem in the world but what can we do to decrease this? Firstly, people need to realise that there are many other people in the world who does not have accessibility to water. We can decrease it by not wasting water on pointless things for example long showers and watering flowers outside the house. By doing this we will economize water and it may be possible for other people to use fresh water as well. Secondly, it is really important to keep the water fresh and clean but many factories let their sewage into the groundwater which can cause a pollution and the lack of fresh water a...

Lamb to the Slaughter by Roald Dahl (1916-1990) The room was warm and clean, the curtains drawn, the two table lamps alight - hers and the one by the empty chair opposite. On the sideboard behind her, two tall glasses, soda water, whiskey. Fresh ice cubes in the Thermos bucket. Mary Maloney was waiting for her husband to come him (correction: home) from work. Now and again she would glance up at the clock, but without anxiety, merely to please herself with the thought that each minute gone by made it nearer the time when he would come. There was a slow smiling air about her, and about everything she did. The drop of a head as she bent over her sewing was curiously tranquil. Her skin - for this was her sixth month with child - had acquired a wonderful translucent quality, the mouth was soft, and the eyes, with their new placid look, seemed larger darker than before. 05144023 Compare and contrast the `direct` perception theory of Gibson with the `constructivist` perception theory of Gregory. Which provides a better account of human perception? Sensation involves physical stimulation of the sense organs, while perception is the organisation and interpretation of incoming sensory information. The Gestalt theorists first identified many of the principles that dominate in human visual perception. As Dowell (1995) has observed: "To perceive seems effortless. To understand perception is nevertheless a great challenge" (cited in Gross, 2005, pp 244). This essay will look at Gregory's theory and Gibson's theory of visual perception whether one or the other offers a better explanation of human visual perception. According to top-down perceptual processing theorists, perception is the end result of an indirect process that involves making inferences about the ...
Etta James was born Jamesetta Hawkins on January 25, 1938, in Los Angeles, California, to a 14-year-old mother. Her father has never been identified. James lived with a series of foster parents most notably „Sarge“ and „Mama Lu“. Etta received her first proffessional vocal training at the age of five. She became a popular singing attraction at the church. In 1950, when she was 12, Mama Lu died and her real mother took her to the Fillmore District, San Francisco. James began listening to doo-wop and was inspired to form a girl group, called the Creolettes. After that, she met musician Johnny Otis. Nonetheless, Otis took the group under his wing, helping them sign to Modern Records and changing their name from The Creolettes to the Peaches. He also gave the singer her stage name Etta James. The success gave the group an opening spot on Little Richard’s national tour. Etta decided to leave the group. After leaving The Peaches she had ano...

Temperate deciduous forest -Well-defined seasons with a distinct winter characterize this forest biome. Moderate climate and a growing season of 140-200 days during 4-6 frost-free months distinguish temperate forests. Temperature varies from -15° C to 25° C. Estonian climate in winter-time. In Estonia, winter climate is very variable. Some year, it could be very cold outside, but some year it could be so warm you may wear your autumn clothes in winter. Some year it could snow so much, that you can't even get out of the house, because there's too much snow in front of your door and some year it may not snow for at least half of the winter-time. But no worries, mostly the temperature may go below -30 and because of the cold, students are absent from schools. The absent students mess up the whole classes program, because then it takes more time to study some subjects and teachers have a lot more work to do. I think, that when students skip school because of the bad weather, teachers should put homework and the work that should have been done in classes, on ekool, but not as concise as it would be if stundents have been at school. Then, students can study subjects on their own and if they ca...

Summary I made my presentation about infotechnology usage in motorsport. I chose this topic because I am an infotechnology student and also I have been rally driver since 2009. I believed this could be interesting topic for others to hear because you can’t really find much information about the technologies used in different motorsport disciplines from the Internet but you can learn about them usually when somebody tells you about those technologies. Because I’m a rally driver and I know most about rallying I focused on rally and in addition talked little bit about Formula One and also about simulators. Most of the information I used to make this presentation was based on my personal experience. In addition, I found some interesting technologies which are used in Formula One from the Internet. Most interesting hi-tech solutions used in rally are in my opinion ride height control with GPS and launch...
