The problem of ocean pollution affects every nation around the world. This is especially true because water is able to transport pollution from one location to another. For many years, chemicals were dumped into bodies of water without concern. While many countries have now banned such behavior, it continues to go on today. As the world has industrialized and its population has grown, the problem of water pollution has intensified. The simple fact that millions of people live along coastlines and near rivers means that these bodies of water are likely candidates for heavy and destructive pollution.

Tallinn wants to fight against it by offering public transportation for free, to Tallinn citizen. So that people would use more public transportation than their own car. Furthermore, it will change our climate. In addition our air is polluted by hydrogen sulfide from plants and factors (Especially in Kohtla- Järve and Maardu). Other big environment problem is garbage. Huge amount of waste is produced every day and it is all because of overconsumption. Although, in recent years peoples knowledge about recycling and using eco-friendly products have improved, there are more landfills in Estonia than ever before. The government should take some actions and instead of talking about recession, they should improve recycling programs or take into use some new ways

We started doing harmful things and only now do we realize what we have done and what we are doing. At this current rate by the middle of next century the Earth's temperature may rise a predicted from 2 to 6 degrees Celsius. This may not seem as much but with the Earth's delicate balance we will have lost several species and habitats. Scientists are worried that soon the effects of what we have done may be irreversible. This temperature increase would drastically affect the growth of many different crops and cause the polar ice caps to melt, therefore increasing sea levels to rise up by several metres. The major problems that are facing our country today are air and water pollution and recycle problem. Also we have, for example, deforestation problem and traffic jams, for instance, in Tallinn in rush-hour. Nevertheless, those problems are not so significant than previous.
