The Essay
Football is the worlds most popular sport. In every four years the world cup is held and every year regional cups are held. Rules are update and followed by FIFA(Federal International Football Association. The game needs good teamwork and skills with a standard size 5 ball. The goal ist o get the ball in the oponents goal and defend your own. Players are allowed to use any part of the body exept arms. When the ball crosses the order of the pitch the ball is given to the team that asnt the last one to touch the ball. A goal is counted when the 2/3 of the ball cosses the white line between the two goal posts.
The game is played with 11 men On a side and 2 teams . The field is a rectangle with a boxy gate called a goal in the middle of the shorter lines. Both teams are allowed one player to play with any part of the body in the box surrounding their goal on their side of the pitch. That player is called a goalkeeper and often hei s also the captain . There are also defenders, midfielders and strikers and players that have 2 roles at the time. For example a defensive midfielder or a forward midfielder etc.The psition of each player in the line-up is selected by the couch who can also have assistent couches. The game has to have 3 refrees: the main refree who makes the decisions (penalty kick, offside, throw in, goalkick, corner , foul etc.) and 2 sideline refrees, who’s main job is too look for offsides or assist the main refree with decisions. The game is played in 2 halfs, 45 minutes each. In the end of each half the refree decides how many minutes to add to the game because of delays. Usually it is between 1 and 4 minutes. When the ball crosses the sideline, the ball is thrown back into play by a player and if the ball crosses the line behind the goal, it played in from a corner by the attacking team or by the goalkeeper from a smaller bow inbetween the 2 posts.
A foul- a foul is whistled by the refree when any player or couch deliberetly or acidentaly reaks any of the rules. The punishment is either loosing posession of the ball or a warning witch can be pooked with a fellow or red card. Red card means that the player has to leave the pitch and hes team will play with one player less. If a foul is made inside one’s own goalkeeper(penalty)box, it means instantly a freekick from a certain distance and no players allowed exept the goalkeeper to defend the goal.
Offside- offside means that the team causing a offside has to hand the ball over to the oponent. An offside isi s whistleled or usually shown with a flag by the assistent refree when a player is closer to the opponents goal at the time of the pass then any ohter oponent exept goalkeepr. An offside doesn’t count when the player passing the ball is also in offside.
Substitution - A substitution is made by the couch. It means that he can replace one player in his/her team incase he wants too or a player cant continou playing. In official matches up to 3 substitutions are allowed in a game and the decision is made during the game vased on the players performance. Usuallt the substitute bench consists of 1 goalkeeper,2 defenders 2 midfielders and 2 strikers. Rarely a team has to substitute both goalkeepers and a player whos not originaly a goalkeeper will have to do his best .
Football unites peole and motivates peole to do sports . The down side is that during International matches where the competeing nations are represented by their best players, spectators often get furius and cause huge ight between fans to settle the game with fists. Football can make people cheer and unite peole.

player may attempt to catch and touch the ball in the air within it. If a player should find himself in contact inside the goal perimeter he must immediately take the most direct path out of it. Should a defender make contact with an attacker while in the goal perimeter, their team is penalized with a direct attempt at the goal, with only one attacker on the seven-meter line and the defending goalkeeper involved. The ball is smaller than a football in order for the players to be able to hold and handle it with a single hand (though contact with both hands is perfectly allowed). A player may only hold the ball for three seconds and may only take three steps with the ball in hand. After taking three steps the player will have to make a dribble with one hand in order to continue moving forward, but if the ball is held in both hands after making a dribble and the player

It is a contact sport which requires padding such as shoulder pads, gloves, helmets, elbow pads, and sometimes even rib guards History Lacrosse, a relatively popular team sport in the Americas, may have developed as early as AD 1100. By the seventeenth century it was well- established and had been documented by Jesuit priests, although the game has undergone many modifications since that time. In the traditional aboriginal Canadian version, each team consisted of about 100 to 1,000 men on a field that stretched from about 500 meters to 3 kilometers long. These lacrosse games lasted from sunup to sundown for two to three days straight. These games were played as part of ceremonial ritual to give thanks to the master. Field lacrosse There are ten players on each team: three attack, three midfielders, three defenders and a goalie. Each player carries a lacrosse stick. A "short crosse" measures between 40 inches (1.0 m) and 42 inches (1

Britain may have less world-famous sportsmen than some other countries, but it has been good at inventing sports and fixing the rules of games.
