Tartu's toy museum Located in an old wooden building in the heart of Tartu's Old Town, the Toy Museum transports its adult visitors back to their most joyful childhood days and offers children plenty to see and do. The Tartu Toy Museum opened on 29 May 1994 under the auspices of the City Government of Tartu. The museum was located in the basement of a private house at the foot of Toome Hill and in a smaller adjoining building at the address 1 Lai St. In late 2003, the Tartu Toy Museum moved to its new location, an old wooden building on Lutsu Street, which had been specially renovated to house the museum. On 13 March 2004 a new permanent exhibit was opened, including a playroom and crafts room. The permanent exhibit displays toys that children in Estonia have played with throughout the ages. The display also includes artist-made dolls, souvenir dolls from around the globe and traditional Finno-Ugric...
Gothic decorative elements of the Palace of Westminster. The dials are 23 feet in diameter and the faces themselves are not solid, but is composed of many small pieces of opal glass, assembled like a stained glass window. Several of the central pieces of glass can be removed to allow inspection of the hands from inside the clock tower. The numbers on the clock faces are each two feet high. An inscription in Latin below each clock face translates as "God save our Queen Victoria I". At the time of its construction the clock mechanism was easily the largest in the world, and it is still among the largest today. The clock mechanism, designed by Edmund Beckett Denison, has proven to be remarkably accurate over the years, allowing small adjustments to the clock's rate to be made by placing pennies on a small shoulder of the clock's pendulum! work by Guadalupe Lacalle, who "concluded that the printed edition of 1631, is a complete, but bowdlerized text, as Mabbe had made a large number of alterations and mentions of God's name or religious observance, not to mention some of the less religious observance of the Spanish 4 clergy noted by Fernando de Rojas" (Severin pg XIV). On page 65 Mabbe translates "en las bestias, en la saves, en las reptilias" as "birds, beasts and all creatures that creep and crawl upon the earth." A small example of how he extends the words. Mabbe made the translation at the age of twenty-six while a student at the University of Oxford. He used the edition from 1502 of the tragicomedia with all 21 acts, as well as the Italian translation published in 1506 by Ordóñez. In this 1987 edition, the letter "El autor a un su
Estonian landscapes and the national heritage of the area. This was the first national park in Estonia. It is located on Northern Estonia, 70 kilometers east from capital Tallinn. Its area covers 725 km², including 250.9 km² of sea. The name Lahemaa originates from the most thoroughly studied and visited part of the North-Estonian coast, where four large peninsulas (Juminda, Pärispea, Käsmu and Vergi) are separated from each other by four bays (Kolga, Hara, Eru and Käsmu.) Lahemaa translates roughly as "Land of Bays". 8. Kadriorg Palace Catherinethal ("Catherine's valley") is a Petrine Baroque palace of Catherine I of Russia in Tallinn, Estonia. It was built after the Great Northern War to Nicola Michetti's. Catherinethal was abandoned by Russian royalty throughout the late 18th and 19th centuries. In the 1930s Konstantin Päts, Estonia's first president, embarked on extensive and controversial restorations with the aim of transforming the park and the
Lennart Meri's first book was ,,Beavers and Mediterranean black widowes footseps" (Kobrade and karakurtide jälgedes), which tells of his trip to Central Asia in 1958. The film The Winds of the Milky Way (Estonian: Linnutee tuuled), shot in co-operation with Finland and Hungary, was banned in the Soviet Union, but won a silver medal at the New York Film Festival. In Finnish schools, his films and texts were used as study materials. His best known work is perhaps Hõbevalge, which translates into Silver White and was published in 1976. It reconstructs the history of Estonia and the Baltic Sea region. Lennart Meri as a politician In 1988, Meri became a founding member of the Estonian Popular Front, which cooperated with its counterparts in Latvia and Lithuania. During the ,,Augustputs", he was in Finland and he worked as hard as possible for the recognition of the Republic of Estonia.

take in light, deteriorate. Gerald J. Chader, chief scientific officer at the University of Southern California's Doheny Retinal Institute, where Dr. Humayun works, said it should also work for severe cases of age- related macular degeneration, the major cause of vision loss in older people. With the artificial retina, a sheet of electrodes is implanted in the eye. The person wears glasses with a tiny camera, which captures images that the belt-pack video processor translates into patterns of light and dark, like the "pixelized image we see on a stadium scoreboard," said Jessy D. Dorn, a research scientist at Second Sight Medical Products, which produces the device, collaborating with the Department of Energy. (Other research teams are developing similar devices.) The video processor directs each electrode to transmit signals representing an object's contours, brightness and contrast, which pulse along optic neurons into the brain.
man in exile. His works reflect his experiences and attempts to answer some of life's difficult questions. In 1968, Allen Tate, a conservative thinker and a convert to Catholicism, wrote "The Unilateral Imagination; or, I too Dislike it", in his Essays of Four Decades. This critique was established from a lecture given by Tate in 1955 based on his works. An example of Dante's ability to tell so much in one single word was expressed by Tate when he cited the word "ombre" which translates "shades," to remind us of the continuity of the Christian Hell and Virgil's pagan Hades. "Shades" are referred to as three-dimensional bodies, able to feel pain as if they were alive in solid ice and immobile, yet to have the intensity of fire. If Dante had tried to touch one of them, his hand would have met no physical resistance since the shades would melt into the air. Tate stands in awe of Dante's abilities to express such a large concept or picture in so few words
The rotor of the compressor can come in various designs, but its job is to draw air in, squeeze the air into a smaller space and discharge it into the intake manifold. To pressurize the air, a supercharger must spin rapidly -- more rapidly than the engine itself. Making the drive gear larger than the compressor gear causes the compressor to spin faster. Superchargers can spin at speeds as high as 50,000 to 65,000 rotations per minute (RPM). A compressor spinning at 50,000 RPM translates to a boost of about six to nine pounds per square inch (psi). That's six to nine additional psi over the atmospheric pressure at a particular elevation. Atmospheric pressure at sea level is 14.7 psi, so a typical boost from a supercharger places about 50 percent more air into the engine. As the air is compressed, it gets hotter, which means that it loses its density and can not expand as much during the explosion. This means that it can't create as much power when it's ignited by the spark plug

within three years. However, those that fail usually do so because of poor planning. So it follows that it's a really bad idea to quit your job and then start a business. Much better to start your own business first and then quit your job. But this doesn't necessarily mean that you need to start trading. Planning is an essential part of enterprise the process of running a business and this is where you should start. The Army has a motto: "Train hard, fight easy." In business, that translates as: "Plan hard, work easy." A simple, three-step approach to the business planning process helps. Step one is to plan exactly what you are going to sell. Step two is to calculate what it will cost to make the product or to deliver the service. Step three is to do market research in order to ensure that you will be able to sell enough products and/or services in order to cover all of the costs. If your plans forecast that you can make a profit then, quite literally, you are in business
young children's clay productions. Children as young as 3 years of age who perform in nonintrusive self- exploration environments tend to be much more limited in subject matter, scale, detail, and stylistic diversity in their clay productions than are those who benefit from appropriate instruction (Kindler, 1997). But perhaps most important, sensitive teaching that relies on constructivist approaches and actively guides children toward important discoveries that support their pictorial efforts translates into sense of accomplishment and pride that sustains children's interest in creative endeavors and encourages them to continue to use and further master this medium of representation. These recommended forms of adult intervention and teaching can be easily integrated into the play format, and skillful and sensitive teachers can make a tremendous difference in children's artistic growth without compromising the child- centered emphasis and the relaxed and playful atmosphere in their childhood
Increased fuel prices and food speculations by the financial institutions have also influences the food prices and its supply. In addition, during 2006, cereal production in major exporting countries declined by 7% due to adverse climate conditions (Fammini, 2008). Nevertheless, since the biofuels production has grown three fold between 2000 and 2007, as can be seen on figure 5, it has had an impact on the food industry. For consumers the impact mainly translates itself into higher prices for food products. Margit Tepner k0848752 Figure 5. Global biofuel production tripled between 2000 and 2007 (IEA, 2009). 3.1. Maize Maize is the primary feedstock for bioethanol in the USA, where demand for ethanol has increased the total demand for maize. Biofuels' feedstock production has shifted the land area away from maize for food and animal feed production. On the other hand, as maize is more

The musicians focus just as much on contemporary pianoplaying trends as they do on classic tunes from well known composers. Klaver translates as piano in Estonia. Past guests at the festival have included Mikhail Pletniov, Cyprien Katsaris, John Lill, Angela Hewitt, MarcAndre Hamelin, Arcadi Volodos, Piotr and Charles Rosen. The International Pianists Festival PIANO was established in 1998 and is biannual. Lauri Väinmaa: "Festival brings to Estonia world class pianists, presents mature masters and upcoming stars from Estonia and abroad and introduces the art of piano playing in its manysidedness."
The sales sweet spot offers a win for companies because it aligns sales professionals with the client in a way that naturally protects the client's welfare and, thus, the client's lifelong revenue with the company. A strategy that serves both of these, in turn, serves the company through enhanced marketplace trust, reduced recruiting fees, reduced client attrition, and increased client loyalty, which, ultimately translates into greater lifelong revenue at a lower cost per sale. 9. Although Dervla Murphy culturally translates herself as unmistakably Irish, her language of communication is English, which leads to occasional confusions of identity. Her dialogue with a senior officer is yet another instance of intercultural communication based on wrong cliche´ s and stereotyping:

the Pope and the Roman Catholic Church. Many factors contributed to the process: the decline of feudalism and the rise of nationalism, the rise of the common law, the invention of the printing press. Ofcourse, as Henry VIII desired for an annulment he was strongly in favour of and influenced the reformation. He broke with Rome and established himself as head of the Church of England. *Fidei Defensor It is an originally Latin title which translates to Defender of the Faith. The phrase has been used as part of the full style of many monarchs since the early 16th century. It has been one of the titles of the English and later British and Commonwealth monarchs since it was granted by Pope Leo X to King Henry VIII of England. The title was given in recognition of Henry's book, "Defence of the Seven Sacraments". It defended the sacramental nature of marriage and the supremacy of the Pope.
beer and soda cans which people drop in front of your home, which they would never do in a Caucasian neighbourhood. 33 We have invested a lot of money in our homes and in our neighbourhood. We continue to chase after “other” good neighbourhoods when we could make our own neighbourhoods better and increase our property values and in the process increase our equity in the home – which translates into more money from our investment The economics of having a well kept neighbourhood can never be overemphasized. There are so many negative involved in always trying to move into Caucasian neighbourhoods. First, you are dehumanized as a person, you are seen as less than the Caucasians who live in the area. Your neighbours who invariably less qualified and a lot of times less affluent than yourself feel superior to you
(Weisenberger, 2007). Difficult operations like complex end cuts of tubular steel sections – executed so laboriously 15 years ago by spline curves set out on cardboard templates that were 14 wrapped around each tube, which was marked and then manually cut – can now be executed without human intervention on the shop floor. Software performing the task of descriptive geometry translates three-dimensional numerically-defined models into two- dimensional fabrication data that accurately cuts components, pre-drills holes for fixings and service penetrations. While producing more sophisticated steelwork, the skilled labor content is being reduced overall and focused increasingly upon the final assembly of CNC milled components (LeCuyer, 2003). The 3D steel detailing model is becoming a deliverable to fabricators and erectors. Not
you can see how problematic the duck's life would become if it had a human mind. But this is how most humans live all the time. No situation or event is ever really finished. The mind and the mind- made “me and my story” keep it going. We are a species that ahas lost its way. everything natural, every flower or tree, and every animal have important lessons to teach us if we would only stop, look and listen. Our duck's lesson is this: Flap your wings – which translates as “let go of the story” - and return to the only place of power: the present moment. CARRYING THE PAST The inability or rather unwillingness of the human mind to let go of the past is beautifully illustrated in the story of two Zen monks, Tanzan and Ekido, who were walking along a country road that had become extremely muddy after heavy rains. Near a village, they came upon a young woman who was trying to cross the road, but the mud was so deep it would have
STO Count Loop: LOD Count ; Add 1 to Count INC STO Count JMP Loop ; Jump back to start of loop @12 Count: data ; Location to be used for counting This example introduces two other features of xComputer's assembly language: "@" and "data". The word "data" is used as a place-holder for a memory location that is going to be used by the program to contain a data value. When the assembler translates the program into machine language and loads it into memory, it replaces "data" with a zero. (Actually, you could just use a 0 in the program, but "data" is more descriptive of your intentions.) The line "@12" is not translated into machine language. It is a directive to the assembler telling the computer to store the next item in location 12. In this case, it means that the Count will be stored in location 12.
High-Precision Applications 9 In this chapter we will look at high-precision applications. High-precision is not an easy term to define, but for our purposes, we will say that high-precision is any application that requires more than 10 bits of accuracy. A requirement for high-precision usually stems from one of two places: a need to measure very small values, or a need to measure a wide dynamic range. High-precision typically translates into more resolution: a 12- or 16-bit ADC instead of an 8- or 10-bit part. However, added resolution brings new problems. A 10-bit ADC with a 5v range has a resolution of 4.88 mV per ADC step. A 12-bit ADC has a resolution of 1.2 mV per step. Just to pick one example, a signal fluctuation of 3 mV will cause at most a plus or minus 1 count variation in a 10-bit system—which amounts to 2 or 3 counts at 12 bits and 10 counts at 16 bits.
I know it's only been a week, but I feel fantastic. Thank you! New behaviors aren't that hard once you start them. Critical (M)Ass: The Kiwi's Complete A/B Workout For those who want a more extended ass program, here is The Kiwi's complete sequence. He advocates three to four circuits of these exercises, in the order provided. I believe the MED is two circuits and will deliver 8090% of the bene ts for most women and men. Men can use these sequences to develop stronger hip drive, which translates to better performance in almost all sports and power lifts. If you try this but start to miss workouts or postpone them, revert to the basic swings twice per week, as I do, which will still guarantee faster progress than most exercise programs. To mimic The Kiwi, perform A on Monday and B on Friday, and glute activation raises (seen earlier) are performed before each. Workout A All exercises, except for kettlebell swings, are performed for 10 repetitions using a 13-
