Television is little more than a waste of time There is no doubt that the emergence of television is one of the most revolutionary events in the twentieth century. Almost everyone has a TV at home and watches it every day. Nowadays, people consider watching television as a sign of lazyness or boredom. I think that television has also some good sides and it is a little more than a waste of time. First of all, I think that TV is mainly a source of information. It allows people to get different kinds of information in an easy way. People can reach information in different languages and about different things just by clicking the remote control. We have channels that show information about other countries politics, economy or other news. In that way we can stay informed with the events that are happening from all over the world.
Many people spend their free time in fornt of a TV set.However, watching TV has many advantages and disadvantages. The main advantage of watching Tv is the source of information.We can watch many educational programmes about animals, discoveries, history, physics and many other domains of science.Thank to TV we can get to knowabout the coulture of other countries. We can also do shopping via TV shpping channels. On the other hand, there are a lot of disadvantages. TV absorbsus much time, which could bring many ilness. TV programmes show violence in fairy-tales, cartoons andprogrammes for children. Watching TV can limit children's imagination. Although violence on television is not the greatest thing, it should be not be banned. In my opinion TV can be very educationaland it shouldn't be banned.
