This was due to incorrect recognition of expense in the income statement. Error was made in recognising “Marketing expenses” in income statement Layout 2 as provided in Annex 2 of the Accounting Standards Board Guideline 2. The company recognised expenses there, which in fact should have been recognised on the income statement line “Cost of sales”. As a result of the analysis, the author understood which expenses are related to the company’s main activity and prepared an income statement based on that information, meeting the requirements set out in Annex 2 of the Accounting Standards Board Guideline 2.
