Referaat "Chelsea Flower Show"

RHS was running a tight schedule if it was to be ready in time. At the end of April, a Press luncheon was arranged for Monday, 19 May (a tradition that continues to this day). With only a fortnight to go until the Show opened, the committee agreed that bath chairs should be allowed in, from 9am to 12 noon on the second day, for five shilling extra. Finally Chelsea successfully opened on Tuesday 20 May 1913, for three days. Curiously there is no Council report on how this Show actually went. The Gardner's Chronicle, which provided the best written records of the early Shows, was more forthcoming. The first Chelsea "had exceeded all expectations". The tent, it reported, were 300ft (100m) long and 275ft (80m) wide, taking up six spans and over 2 acres (0,8hectares). Of a total 73,000sq ft (6,780sq m), more than 21,000sq ft (1,950sq m) were allotted to 84 large groups of flowers, plants, and

Cialdini raamat

Human mating rituals aren't actually as rigid as animals'. Still, researchers have uncovered impressive regularities in courtship patterns across many human cultures (Kenrick & Keefe, 1992). For instance, in personals ads around the world, women describe their physical attractiveness while men trumpet their material wealth (Buss & Kenrick, 1998). In contrast Unlike While Vasta piltide all olevale küsimusele I think ….. Ülesande teises pooles tuleb vastata küsimustele. Eksamil õpilane neid küsimusi ei näe. NB! Viimane küsimus antud ülesandes eeldab vastamist kaudse küsimusega 1) These two photos are black-and-white photos. In the photo on the left, a woman is vacuuming the floor and a man is ironing clothes. There’s a basket with laundry under the ironing board. In the photo on the right, there’s a woman and a child, presumably a mother and a son. The son is washing the dishes and the mom is happily watching him. 2) The most obvious similarity is that in both of those photos people are doing household chores. 3) The most significant difference between these photos is that on the first one both of the people are doing the chores, while on the second one only the son is washing dishes. 4.1

Estonian holidays, festivals, cultural events

Holidays, Festivals, Cultural events TALLINN - If you're looking for entertainment in Estonia this summer, you are really spoiled for choice. Festivals and events dedicated to the consumption of beer are a lot of fun, but if you want to get the true feel of the country, you need something a little more ethnic. Like a town fair. Just as July becomes August, the seaside town of Haapsalu will host a grand spectacle of rural Estonian entertainment. The White Lady Days is a summer celebration filled with amusement for all the family. Held in and around the remains of the Teutonic-knights-era castles, the fair combines enchanting medieval legends with modern countryside charm to create a comprehensive experience of Estonia beyond the big cities. But the legend of the White Lady of Haapsalu, which is at the heart of the festival, is perhaps the most famous tall tale of the many that are so abundant in Estonia's folklore. It is the story of a poor girl who falls in love with the son of the
