My childhood story Whenever I think about my childhood, one story comes to my mind. A story I am proud of. It’s about how I helped my one year older brother when he got stung by a bee. It’s not just an ordinary story because my brother, back then, was allergic to bees. And because of that I may have saved his life. It all began on a sunny summer day at my grandfather’s country home. We had a dog back then and he had his own fenced garden with a doghouse in it. Me and my brother were just fooling around outside doing funny stuff. At some point he decided to go let the dog out. The poles that were holding the fence up were holo inside and the bees thought that it was a great place to make a hive in. Overview This year it was decided to organise a fund-raising day for the charity. It was the nice and cheerful time. Many people agreed to become our volunteers this day. There were about 50 persons, mostly students from the nearest university and some my colleagues came to help us. Youngsters were wonderful! They were so enthusiastic, for example, they thought of some additional activities. We certainly add these to the programme of an event next year. Surprisingly, but just that raised the vast of money. The total raised exceeded the income of the last year. Proposals In the light of this year`s experience, I would like to make some proposals for a similar event next year. The more different activities we have there, the better it is. My recommendations are as follows: sponsored runs, street parties, providing collectors with special badges etc. I hope we helped all disadvantaged children in Britain this year.

The Art Week was originally initiated by Tiina Meeri, who is still working in our school and still organizes the week. At the beginning there were no countries, just certain time periods of history. The Art Week has some traditional events, such as the play "Moving Pictures" which tells the story of the theme country. At the opening ceremony, people from embassy come to congratulate and thank the students for their efforts of making such a big event happen. There´s also Art Week´s café where traditional food is served. Traditionally Art Week ends with costume party where organizing class performs with their own play. Also they pass on the torch to next organizing class by giving them the Art Weeks flag. This year´s theme country was Japan. The school was decorated with symbolic things from Japan. There was a handmade Torii in the lobby. Art Weeks café was in atrium where 11c did very good job

Indian summer festival Indian Summer Festival is the brainchild of Butch Roberts, a Milwaukee Police Officer. In 1985, his dream was to have an American Indian Festival to add to the other ethnic festivals that were being held on the Summerfest grounds, Henry Maier Festival Park. Roberts recruited the Warren and DeNomie families to organize the event. These three families were instrumental in getting Indian Summer off the ground. It took two years of planning and organizational assistance from Irish Fest to kick off Indian Summer's first festival in 1987. Two holidays in the UK In the UK are many holidays, some are weird, some aren't. I describe two holidays, which I think are quite interesting. Bank holidays are public holidays in the United Kingdom, when banks and many other businesses are closed for the day. One bank holiday is Stiltion Cheese Rolling. Cheese Rolling has become an annual event in Stilton and every May Day hundreds of villagers and visitors make their way to the main street to watch the teams battling for the honour of being called the 'Stilton Cheese Rolling Champions'. The event is also Stilton village festival, and includes Maypole dancing, live music and other entertainment.
