My favourite room

Remember like in evening I lied there and read books, studied, dreamed. Sometimes mom came to me. She could always listen to me and give advice. From time to time we just lied in bed, talked about life, education, love and boys. My room is bright, simple and very comfortable. It's spacious, but not huge, on the other hand it's big enough to have a bookcase, where on shelves are neatly stacked books. We have a good library, where are collected the most interesting works like fiction, mysteries, classis and adventure literature. There are a lot of my favourite books that I have reread many times. I really adore playing on guitar. It is the most attractive thing I have in my room. I call it Gita. My mother doesn't like when I am playing, because it make noise .

to prove it. Tommy and Tuppence found it very difficult to prove that she was not in one of the places. Finally, they discovered that she had a twin sister. I chose this book because I had not heard about these two before. At first I thought that it cannot be as good as Miss Marple or Hercule Poirot stories but it is. I think I like it even more than the other stories by Agatha Christie I have read because the characters are very lively and humorous. The book consists of many mysteries. They all differ from each other a little bit and that is fun to read. There are not only murders but they also discovered a gang of counterfeiters, a gang of drug smugglers, a jewel robbery etc. They are all solved with cleverness and a bit of luck. It is called Partners in Crime because they always help each other. When one does not come with a solution then the other one does. All in all it is a great Agatha Christie novel. I would recommend it to everyone who likes good an

The renaissance period in England. Art and literature, development of drama. Dynasties, kings and queens.

Petrarka tõi sonetivormi, Cervantes " Don Quijote", Shakespeare. Development of Drama During the renaissance period art and literature developed quickly. People were fond of singingand acting. Enjoyed life. Drama became most important genre of literature in this period. Drama as a genre started already in the middle ages. At the beginning it was a religious thing, because acting in those days was part of religious ceremony. Oldest plays were called mysteries and miracles, played by clergyman, showed scenes from Christ's life and saints lives. Were performed on religious holidays in church and they both encluded many choral elements (singing). Often formed cycles, several strories about same event . 14th century guilds became responsble for performing certain parts of saints lives and they performed them on cart that were pushed around in town. People who belonged to guild were actors, craftmen. At the end of 14th morality plays appeared and they

elu küsimuse pärast. Siis muidugi kerkibki esile küsimus, millist jutustust tauroktoonia reljeef endas kätkeb? Samuti jääks vastuseta Mithrase päritolu mõistatus. Pärsia päritolu, vähemalt mingis ulatuses, tundub olevat põhjendatud piisvalt Hinnellsi poolt ja osalt on ilmselt õigus ka Cumont'l, isegi kui Mithrase kultuse juuri ei peaks otsima zoroatrismist, vaid vanemast Iraani usundist. David Ulansey on oma raamatus ,,The Origins of the Mithraic Mysteries" (1991) pakkunud välja tauroktoonia astroloogilise tõlgenduse. Selle interpretatsiooni järgi on reljeefil kujutatud erinevate tähtkujude sümboleid, Peaksin sellesse teooriasse rohkem süveneda, et suuta seda Hinnellsiga võrrelda, kuid kindlasti näitab Ulansey teooria seda, et erinevad võimalused tauroktoonia reljeefi tõlgendamisel pole Hinnellsiga ammendunud. Mis puudutab konkreetselt Hinnellsi argumente, siis pean headeks tema väiteid Cumont' vastu

When I am king, they shall not have bread and shelter only, but also teachings out of books, for a full belly is little worth where the mind is starved. 218. There are two times in a man's life when he should not speculate: when he can't afford it, and when he can. 219. An ethical man is a Christian holding four aces. 220. When we remember we are all mad, the mysteries disappear and life stands explained. 221. The trial and condemnation of Galileo marked the climax of the first wave of the Scientific Revolution. He had helped to unlock some of the mysteries of the cosmos for his fellow man. However, his trial also signified something else. The weight of papal authority which had brought Galileo to his knees also succeeded in halting [peatamises ] the growth of the new science in Italy. It is no accident then, that following Galileo's death in 1642 that the greatest advances in science would come from outside Italy in countries like England, Holland and Germany. Need linnad on olnud seal all kaua aega. Vahetame veidi suunda.

an herbal or any medical tract. This is the view of the late Father Theodore C. Petersen, Ph.D., of St. Paul's College in Washington, B.C., an expert in ancient documents who made a 40-year study of the Voynich manuscript. He thought that minute variations in the shape of the characters and in their hooks and other appendages might represent the syllables of a medieval shorthand. He never did collect the statistical evidence he needed to confirm or refute this hypothesis. Yet men have solved mysteries far more abstruse. Why hasn't anyone unriddled this? The reason, Manly said, is that "the attack has proceeded on false assumptions. We do not, in fact, know when the manuscript was written, or where, or what language lies at the basis of the encipher- ment. When the correct hypotheses are applied, the cipher will perhaps reveal itself as simple and easy. . . ." Is it, then, just a gigantic hoax, like the Cardiff giant or the Piltdown man or the fossils of Professor Beringer

But isn't weight loss or gain as simple as calories in and calories out? It's attractive in its simplicity, yes, but so is cold fusion. It doesn't work quite as advertised. German poet Johann Wolfgang Goethe had the right perspective: "Mysteries are not necessarily miracles." To do the impossible (sail around the world, break the four-minute mile, reach the moon), you need to ignore the popular. Charles Munger, right-hand adviser to Warren Bu ett, the richest man on the planet, is known for his unparalleled clear thinking and near-failure-proof track record. How did he re ne his thinking to help build a $3 trillion business in Berkshire Hathaway?
