Nobody can win a war. People started to make a war thousands years ago. During this time they had different purposes, but the final was the same a war caused a great deal of sorrow. But is it worth fighting? Are there any winners or losers in war? Firstly, both sides get bored with a feud. It makes much money, physical and moral strength. Not only soldiers civilian population gets tired of being in a danger and worrying about relatives and friends. Secondly, the consequences of a war are horrible. Terrible memories would not leave people. Every time they recall those events, they suffer again because no one is able to make somebody happy fighting. Thirdly, a lot of people die. Families lose their breadwinners and children become orphans. Moreover, some of them may become homeless, it takes lots of time to rehabilitate and restore cities. Hunger and illnesses make innocent people unhappy. All in all, despite the fact that we live in the XXI century, we have not understood yet that not
I did not have room to move around in the cabin. Also the cabin was really dirty. It seemed like it had not been cleaned for a long time. I felt very uncomfortable staying there. What is more, I had to share my bathroom with other guests, which was really unpleasant and annoying. It surprised me because your advertisement said that you have private bathrooms. Furthermore, the food in the restaurant was horrible. It was cold and tasted awfully. I had to wait for two hours for the waitress to bring me my meal. It was really unpleasant and unlike the "5 star restaurant" you advertised. I am very disappointed indeed. I would like a full refund for the cost of my cruise as well as an apology for the appalling conditions. I hope to hear to hear from you regarding this matter as soon as possible. Yours faithfully, John Smith

Capital punishment. Some people say that capital punishment should not be abolished. In some points I agree with it but in another points I disagree. When somebody kill someone, then it is impossible describe the pain that family members and friends have to feel. So it seems fair to punish murderer in that awful way, but then murderers family members get hurt and it would be vicious circle. Also the death penalty takes away opportunity to regret those horrible mistakes. Some people can change and would live life properly. But then, some people can't change themselves and they could do same mistakes over and over again. Then it seems right again to punish them with the death penalty. Of course from economical side capital punishment is better than maintaining serious criminals at public expence. Because it is quite expensive to feed and cover those lifetime prisnoners.

You say to someone else: Laura said that María's ill. She's got chickenpox. However, the following day you see María at the beach. You're surprised and say to her: Laura said that you were ill. She said you had chickenpox. This has to change to the past because it isn't true. María obviously isn't ill. Direct statements in a past tense do not always change either, because a change might alter the meaning or just make it sound confusing. For example: A friend is telling you about the horrible weather: It started raining heavily when I left work. This is where things get confusing: He said it had started raining heavily when he had left work (it sounds horrible and the sentence is almost nothing but verbs). He said it had started raining heavily when he left work (is wrong because it means it was already raining when he left work) He said it started raining heavily when he left work (is the best version because it is accurate, short,

pollution in Japan Birgit Tohter Air pollution The presence of toxic chemicals or compounds (including those of biological origin) in the air, at levels that pose a health risk. The effects of air pollution is global warming, heart problems, acid rains etc. There are solutions like public transport, cleaning smokestacks, laws, renewable sources, The history Industrial activity in Japan devoloped rapidly after the World War II. People became really sick and described it as more horrible suffering than death. In the 1970s Japan managed to clean up without sacrificing growth by investing in pollution-control technologies. They made new laws. It was the start of "Japan's Pollution Diet". Today, Japanese cities are among the world's least polluted, according to the World Health Organization. Air pollution in Japan The air pollution is different in different seasons. During the winter air pollution in Japan is particularly bad since the polluted air comes
You can also donate blood or organs. Many people need those things. Think of it, that you can save someone’s life. Do not never lie. Lying is very bad and it takes lot energy, because you have to remember everything what you have said before. Do not hate anybody. Forgive everyone, it may take time, but forgive. Forgiveness will make you feel better and happier. Take more time, to go out and feel the nature. Do not throw trash in the nature. You have to keep the environment clean. It is horrible to see trash in the nature. Recycle trash like newspaper and plastic. Take those to other bags. These are things that can change the world, but remember you have to start with yourself.
The school and education plays a major role in our lives, because the more you will learn and the more you achieve, the more choices are available. School shouldn't be a place where someone has bad to be. In my mind there have to be sufficient funny and interesting at school, and there's to be something that distract the students. Anyone's motivation shouldn't disappear ( being motivated ). If there going well at school, then there is a lot of fun and the days passing quickly. Horrible boring is gazing at home and get on the others nerves ... Purpose of school should be motivation and preparing students for independent life. Miks inimesed lähevad kooli? Ühes arvamus on see küsimus lihtne vastata.

K. Rowling) the richest author in the world. Her six books about his adventures have sold more than 300 million copies worldwide and exist in more than 50 different languages. Most of the readers are children or young teenagers, but the books are unusual in the way that they also appeal to adults. Each of the six books covers about a year in Harry's life as he grows from a boy into a teenager. At the start of the first book we learn that he is an orphan who lives with his horrible aunt and uncle, the Dursleys. On his eleventh birthday he discovers he is a wizard, and soon afterwards goes off to study at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, which is where most of the action in the six books takes place. Hogwarts is part of a magical world that is invisible to people without magical powers, who are known as `Muggles'. Harry is the hero of all the stories, though there are many other likeable characters

prisoners and help them getting on their feet after leaving prison. I do not think it would be possible. When taking into consideration that just two years ago a man was sentenced to serve eight years at a local penitentiary for the killings of 6 people, I just cannot agree with it. I sternly believe that punishments should be a lot more harsh so that a common man would fear the barred windows and the people serving their sentence there. The killing of another human being is an unforgivable and horrible crime and it should be taken as a principal offense. I see capital punishment being the best way to deal with it, as it warns other civilians to fear and avoid the criminal path. In conclusion, there are multiple reasons why people misbehave and commit crimes. It may be an outcome of social differences, an act of passion or even peer pressure. We are mesmerized by the darkness in the balance between good and evil. Good and evil is simply
People avoid daily activities such as grocery shopping, farming, and driving. People worry constantly about their immediate future, this kind of behaviour is symptomatic of “anticipatory anxiety”. Which causes emotional breakdowns, running indoors for safety, hiding during the day, having nightmares, and other anxiety-related problems which dramatically affect their ability to live their lives. They have trust issues and desire for revenge. (Owen, 2013) Nevertheless, drone warfare is as horrible as a Tomahawk cruise missile fired from a distant ship or a bomb dropped by a high-flying fighter plane. (Beautmont, 2012) Now, unlike a jet pilot or artilleryman who cannot see the target, aircrafts remote pilot can see the target it is about to hit. Thus, some drone operators feel as much guilt as those who kill at close quarters, because they spend so much time intimately observing their targets. (Beautmont, 2012)

the project failed miserably. Firstly, Latin is tough. The grammar part is crazy, to my not so humble opinion. Secondly, we had uni students to teach us, and each and every one of them had different ideas how it should be done and how to interest a big bunch of overgrown teenagers – especially since Latin classes were the 10th or 11th in a day, so everyone was dead tired and braindead by that time. So we got a taste of grammar – horrible! - a bunch of proverbs! - yay, something useful for a change! - some texts – can't remember a damn thing et cetera et cetera. This concludes the languages I've learned from school. University has added some Hebrew – pretty cool, especially how it's written and how they actually added letters to the Bible without actually changing a word; and some Greek. Oh yes, there's Greek. The thing is, about ten years ago I hitch-hiked to Greece and we went around

Eventually, Lheureux orders the seizure of Emma's property to compensate for the debt she has accumulated. Terrified of Charles finding out, she frantically tries to raise the money that she needs, appealing to Leon and to all the town's businessmen. Eventually, she even attempts to prostitute herself by offering to get back together with Rodolphe if he will give her the money she needs. He refuses, and, driven to despair, she commits suicide by eating arsenic. She dies in horrible agony. For a while, Charles idealizes the memory of his wife. Eventually, though, he finds her letters from Rodolphe and Leon, and he is forced to confront the truth. He dies alone in his garden, and Berthe is sent off to work in a cotton mill.
Rising". His family's economic and personal struggles during the Great Depression inspired many of his songs, especially those about other people facing similar difficulties. Cash was very close to his older brother, Jack. In May 1944, Jack was pulled into a whirling head saw in the mill where he worked and was almost cut in two. He suffered for over a week before he died on May 20, 1944, at age 15. Cash often spoke of the horrible guilt he felt over this incident. Cash's early memories were dominated by gospel music and radio. Taught by his mother and a childhood friend, Cash began playing guitar and writing songs as a young boy. In high school he sang on a local radio station; decades later he released an album of traditional gospel songs, called My Mother's Hymn Book. He was also significantly influenced by traditional Irish music that he heard performed weekly by Dennis Day
The Count is almost done carrying out his plans when he starts to feel like he's really gone too far. When the Count realizes that it's his fault that Villefort's wife and son is dead, he really feels guilty. At this point the Count reveals to Villefort that he is Dantes. Villefort goes mad right after Dantes reveals himself; which is all the more incentive for him to feel bad. "Monte Cristo paled at the horrible sight. He realized that he had gone beyond the limits of rightful vengeance and could no longer say, "God is for me and with me."" (p. 403) We see here how bad the Count really does feel and that we're all human in the end and you can't hurt people forever until you start to feel bad. The Count of Monte Cristo is a great story that helps you to realize how far the reaches of vengeance can really go. When the Count is going around ruining people it seems like he is more of a

The
most common motives are theft, revenge, and sex, but the range within those motives is
vast.
CONCLUSION
Serial killing is surprisingly common, and unsurprisingly disturbing. Popular media

has sensationalized and glorified the killers themselves, giving them yet another motive:
fame. One of the reasons I didn't go into depth or detail about all of the various serial
killers is for this reason - to keep your eyes on how horrible and tragic it is. We shouldn't
romanticize serial killers, or their victims. It might be better if we forgot the name of
Gilles de Rais or Adam Lanza. Thank you for your attention.

Water pollution Attention for water pollution exploded in the 1980s. The oil spill of the Exxon Valdez showed many around the world just how horrible the effects of water pollution could be. However, even the Exxon Valdez spill barely touched the surface of the problem of water pollution. The ship spilt only 5% of the oil spilt that year, and oil is just one of many pollutants that people dump into the water every year. Every year, 14 billions pounds of sewage, sludge, and garbage are dumped into the world's oceans. 19 trillion gallons of waste also enter the water annually.

That's why she just stood there and watched the youth's moves. Finally, when he had cleaned his sword, he started to search something. Soon he found it, because he took from the nearby ground a large book and started reading it. In the meanwhile the monster, whom he thought was dead, started moving and stood up. She (or even it) saw the enemy and rushed towards him. The man seemed not to be noticing her, so Heartless decided to save the man from the horrible death this beast wanted to cause. There was a bloodstained sword lying before her, so she took it from the ground and held it like the man had. She didn't know anything of her past before the orphanage, yet she felt at the moment that her hands were moving on their own. In one second she'd crossed over five meters and attacked with the speed of a lizard the beast. It couldn't even scream before her body was teased apart by the attack from an unknown enemy. ) who moves through a corrupt dangerous world. ``The Black Dahlia`` is based on a novel by James Ellroy and not on a true Black Dahlia (murder) case. The theme of murder/crime/violence is one of the most important themes in Film Noir. In Film Noir morality is less clear (than in Western, for example, where there are simply to sides: good vs evil). There exists a feeling of paranoia about society, as we can clearly see in this film. At first, there is not explanation, why the horrible murder has taken place, at the end, the reasons, why come out, but they are mad and frightening. Sex is the other big theme in Noir. As the years have gone by, the more the audience sees it. In the early Noir movies, like ``The Big Sleep`` there were only clues, in ``The Black Dahlia`` there is one sex scene and characters are talking about it straightly, it is not a hidden part in Noir anymore. For example there is a part of the dialogue in closing scene, Madeline: ``You`d rather fuck
In midevil times most of the people were alliterate. The greatest writer of the time was Chaucer, who wrote many poems and verse and also wrote literature. Another tale tells of William Tell, who shot an arrow through an apple while standing on his son's head. The Renaissance was an age in which more individuals felt the value of their human being. Martin Luther was nailed to the church door at Wittenberg for selling papal indulgences. He died a horrible death, being excommunicated by a bull. It was the painter Donatello's interest in the female nude that made him the father of the Renaissance. It was an age of great inventions and discoveries. Gutenberg invented the Bible. Sir Walter Raleigh is a historical figure because he invented cigarettes. Another important invention was the circulation of blood. Sir Francis Drake circumcised the world with a 100-foot clipper. The government of England was a limited mockery
He lays out the entirety of his plan detailing how he will bring Othello to his death, including the ruse to fool Othello into believing Cassio and Desdemona are having an affair. Act 2 Scene 1 The second act shifts scenery to the island nation of Cyprus, inside the Venetian military fortifications, where it remains until the end of the play. Montano, Cyprus’ Governor, awaits the arrival of the Venetians, delayed as they are by a horrible storm at sea. That same storm, however has also damaged the Turkish forces to the point that they pose little to no threat to the island anymore. Finally Cassio and Desdemona’s ships arrive, and Desdemona immediately inquires of her husband’s whereabouts. However, Iago watches from the sidelines, watching Cassio’s niceties with Desdemona and how he will turn those against them. When Othello finally arrives, everyone retreats inside, leaving Iago once again alone with Roderigo.

Kemmerich, one of Paul's classmates and a member of the Second Company, is in the hospital with a thigh wound. Paul recalls his schoolmaster, Kantorek, a fiercely patriotic man who persuaded many of Paul's friends to enlist as volunteers to prove their patriotism. Joseph Behm, one such young man, was hesitant but eventually gave in to Kantorek's unrelenting pressure. He was one of the first to die, and his death was particularly horrible. With Behm's death, Paul and his classmates lost their innocent trust in authority figures such as Kantorek. Kantorek writes a letter to them filled with the empty phrases of patriotic fervor, calling them "Iron Youth" and glorifying their heroism. The men reflect that they once idolized Kantorek but now despise him; they blame him for pushing them into the army and exposing them to the horror of war. The men go to see Kemmerich, who is unaware that his leg has been amputated. Paul discerns

might be used as the vehicle to develop them. Inequality. Some students, subjected to identical classwork, learn rapidly and progress, while others fail. How can we predict success or failure, and compensate the at-risk children? Few practical options may be available to teachers. It is inevitable in universal public schooling that the extreme students, either dull or bright, will be hurt by our emphasis on the average. It is horrible to admit, but our society cannot assume that all members are capable of being well educated. We have unequal physical, mental and environmental status, and the poorer fringe will always exist. Those of us lucky enough to have a conscience, mature enough to see how things really are, must do what we can to help the less fortunate. Obligation to help. How can a rich person help a poor one? By giving some money? Well, can smart, or educated people give education to those needing it

so much the kind of person a man is as the kind of situation in which he finds himself that determines how he will act” - Stanley Milgram,1974 • “We exaggerate the extent to which our actions are voluntary and rationally chosen- or, put differently, we understate the power of the situation. My claim is not that individuals are incapable of criminal culpability; rather, it is that, like the horrible behavior brought out by my experiment in good, normal young men, the situation and the system creating it also must share in the responsibility for illegal and immoral behavior.” -Philip Zimbardo, 2007 APA Ethics Code The American Psychological Association’s Council of Representatives adopted this version of the APA Ethics Code during its meeting on August 21, 2002. rather a function, a job which several different characters might perform in the course of a story. A character primarily manifesting one archetype — the hero, the shapeshifter, the trickster, even the villain — may temporarily slip on the mask of the M e n t o r in order to teach or give something to the hero. In Russian fairy tales, the wonderful character of the witch Baba Yaga is a Shadow figure who sometimes wears the M e n t o r mask. On the surface she's a horrible, cannibalistic witch representing the dark side of the forest, its power to devour. But like the forest, she can be appeased and can shower gifts on the traveler. Sometimes if Prince Ivan is k i n d and complimentary to her, Baba Yaga gives him the magical treasure he needs to rescue the Princess Vasilisa. Although Campbell called these M e n t o r figures W i s e O l d M e n or Women, they are sometimes neither wise nor old. T h e young, in their innocence, are often

Roughly this means that we cannot prove a statement and its opposite; we cannot prove something horrible like 1=2. 2.Mathematics is complete. Roughly this means that every true mathematical assertion can be proven i.e. every mathematical assertion can either be proven or disproven. 3.Mathematics is decidable. This means that for every type of mathematical problem there is an algorithm that, in theory at least, can be mechanically followed to give a solution. We say “in theory” because following the algorithm might take a million years and still be finite ITK 2007, Kalev Pihl
