individuals. Mountain lions apparently existed at very low numbers between 1925 and 1940. They maintain a secretive profile in the Yellowstone region. Although the cougar population numbered in the hundreds during the early 1900s, controlled hunts between 1904 and 1925 decimated the population. Today, twenty to thirty-five mountain lions reportedly inhabit Yellowstone Park, but sightings are rare. Shy and elusive, mountain lions live solitary lives and practice mutual avoidance. Males and females interact for breeding when females are about 2 1/2 years old. Giving birth throughout the year, females can have litters of up to four kittens, but usually only one or two survive. Born spotted, the kittens stay with their mothers for about 18 months, after which time they will leave in search of their own home range. The Mountain Lion is capable stalk-and-ambush predator; the cougar pursues a wide variety of prey

leaves of willows, sedges, flowering plants, mushrooms. Reindeer are social animals and live in huge herds, which will often have several thousand animals in it. Males are often loners, until its time to mate. They will migrate more than 650-800 kilometres to reach winter or summer feeding grounds, and can travel up to 80 kilometres a day. Their leg tendons make crackling sounds while walking, which would make a migrating herd a noisy bunch indeed. Females will give birth to a single calf. Most females don't breed until they are 28 months old, and will give birth every year. Newborns can walk within an hour and in a few days can run with the herd. Still, wolves, grizzly bears, and golden eagles kill a large number of newborn calves. Although some people are moving into their habitat, they seem to have adapted. Reindeer is not endangered, thanks to its ability to tolerate climates people would rather not deal with.

In the psysical part of the Great Year the Divine Female falls into Lower Consciousness and her shadow side emerges reflected in the unconcious Mortal Females who take control. This is also what the whore of Babylon is symbolizing. Perseus is symbolic for the returning Aether and Christ Consciousness that removes the influence and power of the lower conscious Mortal Females. They are only nine weeks old and need mother's milk and protection. She is a successful mother because she knows how to take care of her cubs. The male tiger doesn't help her to raise the cubs. Male tigers also don't like being followed and they fight for their territory in order to mate several females. In fact male tigers are a huge danger to young cubs and one of their main enemies. Females also fight for territory but they do it so as to have more food. Mother tiger can track her cubs by scent. She gives her offspring killing lessons in a form of games because playing is a crucial part of survival. Cubs also grow fast and they need regular food. Raising cubs is very demanding. The giant panda lives in a few mountain ranges in central China. As a result of farming, deforestation and other development, the panda has been driven out of the lowland areas where it once lived. The Chinese language has given the bear 20 different names, such as ,,large bear cat'' or ,,bamboo bear'. Unlike other bear species, pandas have round pupils. Pandas are known for their large black patches around their eyes, ears and across their round bodies. Male pandas can weigh up to 160 kg and females can weigh as little as 75 kg. The giant panda's thick, wooly coat keeps it warm in the cool forests. It has strong jaw muscles and teeth for eating tough bamboo. Giant pandas are generally solitary. Each adult has a defined territory and female pandas do not tolerate each other. Pandas are known to attack humans, but rather out of irritation than aggression. Pandas are endangered species, threatened by continued habitat loss and by a very low birthrate

habitat on the planet that contains insect-pollinated flowering plants. Bees are adapted for feeding on nectar and pollen, the former primarily as an energy source, and the latter primarily for protein and other nutrients. Most pollen is used as food for larvae. Bees have a long proboscis (a complex "tongue") that enables them to obtain the nectar from flowers. They have antennae almost universally made up of 13 segments in males and 12 in females, as is typical for the superfamily. Bees all have two pairs of wings, the hind pair being the smaller of the two; in a very few species, one sex or caste has relatively short wings that make flight difficult or impossible, but none is wingless. The best-known bee species is the European honey bee, which, as its name suggests, produces honey, as do a few other types of bee. Human management of this species is known as beekeeping or apiculture.

Are men better directors than women ?

But does that necessarily mean that women are not suitable for such responsible, effort and leadership demanding jobs? I do not think so. First of all, I would like to say that this tradition is coming not only from history, but from evolution. In nature, masculine representatives of most species are stronger, more agile and aggressive than feminine representatives, because their biological function is to be the main breadwinners and defenders of their families, while females' main functions are to distribute that bread within the family, raise, feed and look after the progeny. Of course there are exceptions like lions (lionesses do hunting which ensures food for their families), seahorses (males bear the eggs) and some others, but in general law of nature is such. So it is not surprising that this law applies for the human beings, but we are truly exceptional species. Our mind that led us through

Gender equality in higher positions of companies

than men. The statement says that companies should give a certain number of higher positions to women. However, I do not agree with this requirement completely. Giving a certain percent of higher positions to women certainly is an easy solution but in my opinion it will bring even more sexism. It shows that women are somehow weaker, fragile and need help for everything. And this on the other hand, will cause a situation where females will receive less credit for their jobs, even if they do their work really well. Every person is unique and has their own set of skills. Companies have to value people's experience, qualification and education more than their gender, race, sexual orientation or other personal aspects. Those have nothing to do with the ability of someone doing the job or how this individual will bring profit to the company. So, no company should hire or even make a job

It is essential for companies to take into account socio-cultural factors, because they need to know what their customers are looking for. In the UK where the streets are narrow and everybody is parking on the roadside; it is much comfortable to own a small car then a big one. Vehicles generally have been considered to be more a men's subject. Although over the years more women have started to use a car, but the change between male and female car users have still persisted. Females have started to make working-career by themselves and the need for transportation has increased; one of the comfortable ways to get to a work would definitely be a car. Housewives can also use car to do the grocery shopping or to take children to school. (http://academic.mintel.com A) Since 1998 more and more households are owing 2 cars. The location of the town, approximately 25 miles east of London, would imply that the dialect spoken there is Estuary English as Rosewarne (1984) believed that the variety was based by the banks of the Thames, but also used in the south-east of England. Research methodology: Fox recorded thirty adolescents, aged 1219, from working class backgrounds. Equal numbers of females and males were chosen to avoid gender bias. All participants were born or settled in Basildon before the age of three. To obtain the material with different speech styles, the recording consisted of two stages: `Quick and Anonymous' Survey (elicitation tasks a passage of prose and a word reading list) and sociolinguistic interviews of 2 to 3 informants with the fieldworker. Finally, six speakers' data were analysed auditorily in two phases.

Fay Weldon, Powerpoint

§ Fay Weldon was supposed to be born in New Zealand, but instead was born in England in 1931. At 5 weeks old she and her mother returned to New Zealand. § Her father was a doctor and her mother was a writer of commercial fiction under the pen name "Pearl Bellairs", among others. Her parents divorced when she was five. She lived with her mother, sister and grandmother until she started college and, as a result, grew up believing "the world was peopled by females". This problably influenced her works too. § She returned to England with her mother and studied economics and psychology at the University of St Andrews in Scotland. § Her actual christened name was "Franklin Birkinshaw". which she feels contributed to her being accepted at St Andrews and permitted to study economics: the school assumed she was a male student applicant. Burger King’s commercial is just one out of thousands of examples of sexist media that exist around the world. As aforementioned these commercials diminish teenage girls’ self-esteem. Not only do these ads affect females, they also have a large role in influencing young boys, whose values and understandings in life are not yet fully developed. Sexist marketing, such as Burger King’s, have a tremendous impact in shaping teenagers’ values in life. Beats all the lies you can invent. It is right it should be so; Man was made for joy and woe; And when this we rightly know, Thro' the world we safely go. Joy and woe are woven fine, A clothing for the soul divine. Under every grief and pine Runs a joy with silken twine. The babe is more than swaddling bands; Every farmer understands. Every tear from every eye Becomes a babe in eternity; This is caught by females bright, And return'd to its own delight. The bleat, the bark, bellow, and roar, Are waves that beat on heaven's shore. The babe that weeps the rod beneath Writes revenge in realms of death. The beggar's rags, fluttering in air, Does to rags the heavens tear. The soldier, arm'd with sword and gun, Palsied strikes the summer's sun. The poor man's farthing is worth more Than all the gold on Afric's shore. One mite wrung from the lab'rer's hands

People didn't marry outside of their group. Marriage arrangements were made when children were very young and sometimes before they were born. Elders (who were usually males), were people who were considered to be wise in tribal knowledge and worldly matters. They were leaders of family or kinship groups who made decisions about moving camp, when boys would be initiated, when girls would be married and settled disputes among other members of the social unit. Senior females were not considered to be Elders in traditional Aboriginal society. However they did play important roles in tribal matters. For example they decided when girls would undergo rituals in preparation for marriage, conducted or organized ceremonies including those that males and children participated in (but not initiation ceremonies). 7 They also acted as midwives and story-tellers.
