with an ice sheet. Advances and retreats of ice in the northern hemisphere during the past 500,000 years can be accounted for by changes in the warmth from the Sun. This was caused by alterations in the Earth's orbit at periods of 96,000, 40,000 and 20,000 years. Although that theory is widely accepted as a possible explanation for ice ages, it has not been proved. More than 50 theories have been put forward, but only a few have not been completely dismissed. Not long ago a new theory was published in the science journal "Nature". According to Dr. Garry Hunt, of University College, intense radiations from the nuclear explosion of a nearby supernova a star could cause the destruction of part or all of the ozone layer and in this way trigger an ice age. over weight the positive effects. To begin with, as mentioned above pay-for performance idea is to motivate civil servants to perform better through monetary rewards. The problem is that this may reduce intrinsic motivation, the connection with the organisation and with the task is now based on money, not on public interest. Some workers may be concerned about the level of job security (the fear that if they perform badly they will be dismissed). But the irony lies in traditional model of governmental jobs, that was meant to be long term and stable. If motivation lies on monetary incentives it may give base for corruption. Another negative side with pay-for performance is that it causes competition between employees. This in turn, reduces cooperation, unity and solidarity. It may affect other tasks and bigger projects where everyone has to work together for a same goal.

Since becoming the first party in the State Duma, United Russia has given its members new institutional resources with which to accommodate their need to serve particularistic interests. For example, by increasing the number of legislative committees, the party has created additional opportunities for patronage in particular policy jurisdictions for influential members of the faction (Ibid 2008: 216). In the fourth and fifth Duma, the party dismissed a former consultative, pre-floor intra-party vote trading procedure where individual deputies bargained with the government and replaced it with a closed doors meetings of the fraction Presidium. Therefore, all legislative bargaining now takes place in the Presidium meetings (Reuter 2010: 296). For instance, the word railroad itself is used more prominently in American English. The earlier practice of rail road instead of railroad, was dismissed over time, even though several roads still maintain it in their names (e.g. Long Island Rail Road). Railway is mostly used for urban and interurban electric railways (e.g. San Francisco Municipal Railway). In British English, the preferred term is railway. In the early days of the railways, railroad (rail road or rail-road) was often used, until railway became preferred in 1850s. Other differences in terminology: In British English, single ticket is used instead of the American one-way ticket

The most famous Métis leader Louis Riel was the founder of Manitoba and also a central figure in the Red River and North-West resistances. Riel led two popular Métis governments, was central in bringing Manitoba into Confederation, and was executed for high treason for his role in the 1885 resistance to Canadian encroachment on Métis lands. Many of the cats had no golden in their ancestry. At first it was dismissed as an unavoidable genetic fault where silver was incompletely dominant and did not hide the recessive golden colour. A common ancestor of all the colour-changing Silver Persians was a stud cat called Kelly Lane Andromeda (in the UK) whose descendents were exported to the USA in the 1950s and 1960s. Melville's observations are not a complete scientific study, even by standards of the day. Nevertheless, because of the general lack of knowledge about whales in the middle 19th century, the taxonomy in the novel provides a glimpse of the knowledge of whales by the whaling fleet and naturalists of the era. Though 19th century science is of only historical interest, his command of the English language, or at least of its Yankee version, is unimpeachable, so his definitions cannot be dismissed lightly. Melville somewhat famously asserts in the novel that the whale is a "spouting fish with a horizontal tail." His use of the word "fish" here, however, is not meant a denial of the mammalian characteristics of the order Cetacea, but rather simply as an ad hoc definition as an animal that dwells in the sea; however, he goes on to dismiss Linnaeus' classification as "humbug"

each character on the realistic level has a counterpart in greek mythology. George's son Peter Caldwell is Prometheus himself. George's wife Cassie is on the Greek mythological level Ceres. One of george's friends Al is Hephestus-the Smith. The local doctor is Apollo and so on. Vera, collegau, is Venus. The reason for the parallels is that America is home for parallelity. Cyron is gentle and kind-hearted, at a loss in the world of selfcentered selfish people. He is dismissed by his collegaus as a misfit. Moreover, he himself believes he is a failure. The events of the novel are shown through the eyes of his son Peter- Prometheus. He is telling the story to his black mistress. Peter has become a painter. After making every possible inquiry on that side London, Colonel F. came on into Hertfordshire, anxiously renewing them at all the turnpikes, and at the inns in Barnet and Hatfield, but without any success--no such people had been seen to pass through. The termination of a labor contract on the initiative of an employer does not require a mandatory advance notification to the employee. The Labor Code does not require the employer to give a reason for the dismissal. If an employer terminates a labor contract by his/her initiative, he/she is required to compensate the dismissed employee for least one month's salary. An employer is not required to pay compensation if a labor contract is terminated due to the non-fulfillment of obligations by employee. Likewise, the employee is not obliged to honor the 30-day term of termination of labor contract specified by the law if employer does not comply with his obligations. Many procedures that, in the past, led to admissions of guilt can no longer be employed for fear that they will result in cases being dismissed. As yet, however, the courts have found nothing illegal in the police's use of subtle psychology. For this reason, criminal interrogations have taken increasingly to the use of such ploys as the one they call Good Cop/Bad Cop. Good Cop/Bad Cop works as follows: A young robbery suspect, for example, who has been advised of his rights and is maintaining his innocence, is brought to a room to be questioned by a pair of officers
