Complain letter

I had to ask three times for new bed linen and when I asked for a wake-up call at 6 o'clock, I was woken up at 9 o'clock. When I complained about it, a receptionist treated me very rudely. Secondly, the choice of food served at the hotel restaurant was very limited. There were hardly any traditional Spanish dishes, although your travel agent said that holidays at Oceanic Hotel is a perfect opportunity to try delicious Spanish cuisine. I am also extremely disappointed with the coach tour that you advertised in your leaflet. The tour was organized, however, no guide was provided. I expect a full refund of my holidays and an apology for your not fulfilling the promises given by your tourist office. I hope you will consider my complaints as soon as possible. I am looking forward to hearing from you. Yours faithfully xxx

A complaint letter

6 March 2014 Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing in order to complain about your product I bought. It is an i-phone, which I ordered from an online shop. A week later it stopped working properly. First of all, the on/off button is broken and does not let me open my phone. The screen colour of the device was also unacceptably almost black and white. In addition to this, the sound was a little bit off and I could no adjust it in the settings. For some reason I also could not see my messeages at all. No only the screen was borken, the

Formal letter Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing in order to complain about a situation which happened on 26th of September, when I was dining at the Babyback Ribs &Bbq restaurant. To start from the beginning, at first when we entered the restaurant there was no-one to serve us. Then, when we had waited for a long time a young girl came to us and asked us if we had a table booked, we answered that we did not and so we were given the menus and lead to available seatings. When we had decided what to have there was once again no-one to serve

BARED TO YOU wouldn't be what it is without you, Hilary. Thank you so much! To Martha Trachtenberg, copy editor extraordinaire. This book is an important one for me and she treated it that way. Thank you, Martha! To Victoria Colotta, for all her hard work on the interior design and typesetting. She took my plain text and made it gorgeous. Thank you, Victoria! To Tera Kleinfelter, who read the first half of Bared to You and told me she loved it. Thank you, Tera! To all girls who were at Cross Creek at some point in your adolescence: May all your dreams come true. You deserve it. And to Alistair and Jessica, from Seven Years to Sin , who inspired me to write Gideon and Eva's story. I'm so glad the inspiration struck twice! 1 "We should head to a bar and celebrate."

Formal letter about holiday

Dear Sir/Madam I'm writing to ask for more information about the 'Swedish Dream' holiday which i saw on the internet. Me and my friends are very interested in Sweden and would like to go on this holiday but we would like to ask some more things about the trip. Firstly, i would like to get some more information about the hotels and the cities we are going to visit. I was also wondering if there's going to be a tour guide to talk about the history of Sweden. Could you tell me more about these things? Secondly, I am a little bit worried about my health. Could you send me information about the diseases and health risks in this country, just in case. And i was also wondering if the health insurance is included? I would also like to know if pets are allowed in the hotels as my friend is having dog allergy. Thirdly, it's said that the price includes everything except the museums. Could you possibly tell me how much money is needed for these museums and are they obligatory? We would

Did you know that the sentence was first divided into subject and verb by Plato, the famed philosopher from ancient Greece? That was about 2,400 years ago! Ever since then, students all over the world have found it worthwhile to study the structure of words and sentences. Why? Because skill in speaking and writing is the hallmark of all educated people. Lesson by lesson, this book provides basic instruction in the eight parts of speech--nouns, pronouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs, prepositions, conjunctions, and interjections--as well as the standard patterns of English sentences. All students of English, be they native speakers or those who are studying English as a second language, will profit from the fundamental introduction and review of

the equipment. The equipment should be transported to the ICN plant for inspection and repair there. When the ICN equipment was first introduced, it was found to provide a flexible and advanced system. Moreover, its speed of operation was greater than comparable hardware then available. However, in recent months major faults have developed in the equipment, and the local agent appears incapable of providing a reliable repair service. Consequently, the system is regularly out of order for several days at a time. Although the makers have agreed to replace the system free of charge, the new equipment will not be installed for at least six months. Such a delay is clearly unacceptable to us. We should therefore insist that ICN send their own engineer to service the equipment. Alternatively, the equipment should be transported to the ICN plant for inspection and repair there. Cats

During the 1990s, some purebred Norwegian Forest Cats in Sweden produced chocolate/lilac and cinnamon/fawn offspring. However, those colours are not found in the purebred Norwegian Forest Cat gene pool. Had the gene pool become polluted by someone, perhaps generations ago, breeding their Norwegian Forest Cat to another breed? Was it a spontaneous mutation? Crossing of those cats with known chocolate and cinnamon colour cats of other breeds ruled out chocolate/lilac and cinnamon/fawn genes. These cats were a totally new colour, peculiar to the Norwegian Forest Cat gene pool and dubbed the "X Colours". They are now called Amber and Light Amber. The Amber effect is due to the extension gene (also called red factor) which controls the production of red and black pigment. The dominant version of the gene produces normal black pigment in the coat while the recessive version produces red pigment. The name comes from the effect of black or brown pigment not being

Notice that Spanish has informal and formal ways of speaking. This is because there is more than one meaning to "you" in Spanish (as well as in many other languages.) The informal you is used when talking to close friends, relatives, animals or children. The formal you is used when talking to someone you just met, do not know well, or someone for whom you would like to show respect (a professor, for example.) Encantado, cansado, enfermo, and aburrido are the masculine forms of the words.
