EU Internal Market Law Mid-term online evaluation assignment for Distance Learning Students The Assignment: Hypothetical Case In the Member State A several NGOs, uniting parents concerned with safety of children and young adults, ordered a study of dog attacks on people (and especially children) resulting in deaths or maiming. The aim of the study was to identify, if possible, the dog breeds of potentially enhanced danger for people. The study’s results showed that pit bulls and their close mixes as well as Rottweilers and their close mixes were jointly responsible for over 70% of attacks. The authors of the study explained the statistics by popularity, big size and powerfulness of the named breeds and their ability to do a lot of damage. Besides, about the pit bull attacks the absence of warning from a dog played a

Smell The olfactory bulb in dogs is roughly forty times bigger than the olfactory bulb in humans, relative to total brain size, with 125 to 220 million smell-sensitive receptors. The wet nose is essential for determining the direction of the air current containing the smell. General visibility A countershaded animal will have dark coloring on its upper surfaces and light coloring below, which reduces its general visibility. Many breeds will have an occasional "blaze", stripe, or "star" of white fur on their chest or underside. More pictures Thank you for listening!
AMBER AND LIGHT AMBER During the 1990s, some purebred Norwegian Forest Cats in Sweden produced chocolate/lilac and cinnamon/fawn offspring. However, those colours are not found in the purebred Norwegian Forest Cat gene pool. Had the gene pool become polluted by someone, perhaps generations ago, breeding their Norwegian Forest Cat to another breed? Was it a spontaneous mutation? Crossing of those cats with known chocolate and cinnamon colour cats of other breeds ruled out chocolate/lilac and cinnamon/fawn genes. These cats were a totally new colour, peculiar to the Norwegian Forest Cat gene pool and dubbed the "X Colours". They are now called Amber and Light Amber. The Amber effect is due to the extension gene (also called red factor) which controls the production of red and black pigment. The dominant version of the gene produces normal black pigment in the coat while the recessive version produces red pigment
range, but migrates from areas where rivers freeze in winter. In winter Common Kingfisher travels from north to Mediterranean countries. It is a rare bird in Estonia, up to 1000 birds in summer, and 100 birds in winter. Common Kingfisher likes to live by rivers with steep riverside banks, where the water is clean and still, and flow is slow. It prefers rivers with bushes and trees at the riverside. In the mountains it can live near the lakes up to 2km high. Common Kingfisher breeds 6-7 eggs a time for 19-21 days. Only mother feeds the birds, although father is always nearby. After breeding time the relationship between parents ends and they break up. Common Kingfisher eats mostly fish, whose length does not exceed 6cm. It also eats bugs and other spinelesses, especially dragonfly babys. Very rarely it also eats tiny frogs. Common Kingfighter gets its food as far as 1km from nest.
against the disease. This study is based on scientific articles from different magazines. The purpose of the research is to learn more about IBK and how to handle it. IBK seems to be hardly avoidable, but with right herding techniques it is possible to prevent huge outbreaks of the disease. Introduction Infectious bovine keratoconjunctivitis (IBK) is one of the most common eye diseases of cattle. Colloquially also known as pinkeye. It is contagious to all cattle breeds, but there are reported that it is more common in lighter-colored breeds, such as Hereford. IBK is a disease affecting cattle eye caused by the bacteria Moraxella bovis, which is a Gram-negative, rod- shaped bacterium and spread rapidly by direct contact or by insect vectors (Angelos, 2015). The disease has high morbidity rate, but it is rarely fatal. It causes a lot of pain and even 1

often referred as "papist" within the pamphlet. The British enacted laws limiting the ability of Irish innate to thrive and prosper. Ireland was controlled by England, which imposed many taxes upon Irish people and appropriated their resources. By this, this author satirizes the prejudice of Protestants towards Catholics. He writes that "it would greatly lessen the number of papists, with whom we are yearly over-run, being the principal breeds of the nation as well as our most dangerous enemies" (56). Swift notes that Catholics seem to breed more rapidly than Protestants: Infant's flesh will be in season throughout the year, but more plentifully in March, and a little before and after ... that fish are a prolific diet, there are more children born in Roman catholic countries about nine months after Lent than at any other season;

These regions have been altered by heavy grazing of livestock and by controlled burning. Some wetland areas have been subjected to massive draining efforts for hundreds of years and are now covered by towns and farmland. 8. Agriculture, natural resources The open fields with their tiny strips of land worked by farmers were quickly replaced by compact farms, with large farms surrounded by hedges and ditches to prevent stray animals from ruining the crops or mixing with the new, improved breeds of sheep and cattle. This so-called agricultural revolution left large numbers of the rural population landless but also led to the massive increase in agricultural production necessary to feed the country's growing non-agricultural population. Less than 3% of the working population is employed in agriculture in Britain, yet the industry produces about two- thirds of the country's food requirements. Most of the farms are devoted to dairying or beef cattle and sheep
2000 of the Jacobites died, which ended Stuart pretensions to the crown. The British ensured British rule at the French fort at Quebec. During the reign of George III, Britain lost its American colonies and the United States was born. Britain recognised its independence in September 1783. In Britain, peasant farmers were replaced by farms, tiny strips of land were replaced by huge fields enclosed by hedges, so stray animals couldn't ruin the crops or mix with improved breeds of sheep and cattle. This agricultural revolution left large numbers of the population landless, but also led to the massive increase in agricultural production. Admiral Nelson defeated Napoleon and his troops in the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805, where he also died. Duke of Wellington ended Napoleon Bonaparte's dreams of world dominance in the Battle of Waterloo in 1815. Captain James Cook changed the map of the world, discovering many unknown lands like Australia, New Zealand and Tonga

He is on his way to join the rest of his companions at an old mining camp on a distant fork of Henderson Creek, and he estimates his arrival time will be six o'clock in the evening. The man is traveling on foot; all he has by way of supplies is his lunch. It is not long before he realizes that the temperature is colder than fifty below, but this fact does not yet worry him. Part II The man is accompanied only by a dog--``a big native husky,'' wilder than other breeds. Despite its heavy fur, the dog dislikes traveling in brutally cold weather. It knows instinctively that the temperature is actually seventy-five below zero and that no one should be out in such ``tremendous cold.'' The man reaches Henderson Creek, which has frozen and can be used as a trail but is also riddled with dangerous winter springs that never freeze and are hidden beneath a thin layer of river ice. Although he is short on imagination, the man uses
Métis, on the other hand, is a more general French term for mixed race, which has generally referred to a person of descent from two different major ethnic groups. Contemporary usage of Métis is also different from its historical meaning. At Red River in the 19th century there were two prominent communities of mixed-descent people. In addition to a sizeable French-speaking and nominally Catholic Métis population, there was a large group of English-speaking "Half-breeds" who were mainly Anglican agriculturists. While these interrelated communities were considered to be somewhat distinct constituencies -- the derogatory nature of the term "Half- breed" has caused it to fall largely into disuse. Thus, the contemporary meaning of "Métis" typically includes people of both French- and English-speaking heritage. 5. In which of the present provinces did the "classic" Métis culture develop? particularly with members of the Russian Orthodox Church because sunflower oil was one of the few oils that was not prohibited during Lent. The cake remaining after the seeds have been processed for oil is used as a livestock feed. Some recently developed cultivars have drooping heads. These cultivars are less attractive to gardeners growing the flowers as ornamental plants, but appeal to farmers, because they reduce bird damage and losses from some plant diseases. There are also new breeds of sunflowers which are transgenic, so that they are resistant to some diseases.[citation needed] Sunflowers also produce latex and are the subject of experiments to improve their suitability as an alternative crop for producing hypoallergenic rubber. Additionally, the stem of a dead sunflower can dry out open wounds.[citation needed] For farmers not intending to grow it, the sunflower is considered a noxious weed. The

Except in sports heroes, Blacks don’t want others to succeed. You can hear them complaining – he behaves like a honkie (Caucasian) just because he has little money. As a Capitalist Nigger, you must look into the eyes of your friends and tell them to f&%k off. When you succeed in building a successful company, hire some of them, but keep them at arm’s length; never allow them to report directly to you. You should heed the adage that familiarity breeds contempt; these people can derail your organizational peace by their attitude of isn’t- this-the-person-I-used-to-know. And if after giving them the opportunity to earn a living and they still don’t get it, have them fired immediately. Don’t feel any remorse.
