To: Mare Kallas From: Paula Hõbe Subject: Selver Date: 2th October Introduction The purpose of this report is to describe and give an assesment of a supermarket named Selver which is part of a large national chain. Convenience and Comfort To begin with there are a lot of different sections for example a meat counter, a bakery and a cosmetics counter. So you can save a lot of time because you can do all your shopping in one place. Furthermore the way the shelves are arranged makes it easy to find what you want. However Selver supermarkets are quite far from the town centre, and sometimes it may be hard to find a parking space. Prices You can save a lot of money by buying their own brand of goods. In addition they have many extremely cheap special offers. Although their normal prices are not cheaper than the prices at other supermarkets.

Introduction of SCM

INTRODUCTION OF SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT (SCM) A supply chain is a network of facilities and distribution options that performs the functions of procurement of materials, transformation of these materials into intermediate and finished products, and the distribution of these finished products to customers. Supply chains exist in both service and manufacturing organizations, although the complexity of the chain may vary greatly from industry to industry and firm to firm. Supply chain management is typically viewed to lie between fully vertically integrated firms, where the entire material flow is owned by a single firm and those where each channel member operates independently. Therefore coordination between the various players in the chain is key in its effective management

In conclusion, even if people work every day in order to pay for their expences, money is not the only thing in the world that makes people happy and satisfied with their life Advertising on TV Advertising on TV is a very popular way that companies use to advertise their products. First of all, advertisements on TV are called commercials and to get air time on Tv is very expencive and not every company can offord it. Secondly, TV commercials mingt be the easyest way to advertise products because for example in the radio You can not see the product, you can only hear what people are talking about it. On the other hand, nowadays the popularity of TV commercials is getting smaller because of the Internet. More and more people use Internet more than they watch TV.

Market and marketing

Good afternoon! My name is … I will be speaking today for 10 minutes about market and marketing. At first I am going to talk about meaning of market and I must define what is market in modern marketing context. The common usage of market means a place where goods are bought or sold. A market need not necessarily mean a place of exchange. The word market is commonly used and may even mean or aim in any of the following:  Market may mean a place where buying and selling take place  Buyers and sellers come together for transaction  An organization through which exchange of goods takes place  The act of buying and selling of goods (to satisfy human wants)  An area of operation of commercial demand for commodities In addition, I have to define what is marketing. Marketing is a human activity to satisfy needs and wants, through an exchange process

Estonian cuisine

The traditional cuisine of Estonia has substantially been based on meat and potatoes, and on fish in coastal and lakeside areas, but is influenced by many other cuisines by now. In the present day it includes a variety of international foods and dishes, with a number of contributions from the traditions of nearby countries. German, Scandinavian, Russian and other influences have played their part. The most typical foods in Estonia have been rye bread, pork, potatoes and dairy products. Estonian eating habits have historically been closely linked to the seasons. In terms of staples, Estonia belongs firmly to the beer, vodka, rye bread and pork "belt" of Europe. The Cold Table Flounder The first course in traditional Estonian cuisine is based on cold dishes - a selection of meats and sausages served with potato salad or Rosolje, an Estonian signature dishes based on beetroot, meat and herring . Some renewable energy technologies are criticised for being intermittent or unsightly, yet the market is growing for many forms of renewable energy. Climate change concerns coupled with high oil prices, peak oil and increasing government support are driving increasing renewable energy legislation, incentives and commercialization. New government spending, regulation, and policies should help the industry weather the 2009 economic crisis better than many other sectors. "Marketing"

Instructed: Jane Tammeorg Tartu 2009 Marketing Basics for the Small Business Marketing is the wide range of activities involved in making sure that you're continuing to meet the needs of your customers and getting value in return. Marketing is usually focused on one product or service. Thus, a marketing plan for one product might be very different than that for another product. Marketing activities include "inbound marketing," such as market research to find out, for example, what groups of potential customers exist, what their needs are, which of those needs you can meet, how you should meet them, etc. Inbound marketing also includes analyzing the competition, positioning your new product or service (finding your market niche), and pricing your products and services. Probably this long-standing status as sucker accounts for my interest in the study of compliance: Just what are the factors that cause one person to say yes to another person? And which techniques most effectively use these factors to bring about such compliance? I have wondered why it is that a re- quest stated in a certain way will be rejected, but a request that asks for the same favor in a slightly different fashion will be successful. So in my role as an experimental social psychologist, I began to research the psychology of compliance. At first the research took the form of experiments per- formed, for the most part, in my laboratory and on college students. I wanted to find out which psychological principles influenced the tendency to comply with a request. Right now, psychologists know quite a bit about these principles-what they are and how they work

In Europe and the US, biofuels have been boosted with the government's goals to source certain percentage of transport fuel from biofuels and therefore biofuels production is heavily subsidised. you need to start trading. Planning is an essential part of enterprise the process of running a business and this is where you should start. The Army has a motto: "Train hard, fight easy." In business, that translates as: "Plan hard, work easy." A simple, three-step approach to the business planning process helps. Step one is to plan exactly what you are going to sell. Step two is to calculate what it will cost to make the product or to deliver the service. Step three is to do market research in order to ensure that you will be able to sell enough products and/or services in order to cover all of the costs. If your plans forecast that you can make a profit then, quite literally, you are in business. If not, then you need to think of a new plan. People who can do this are called entrepreneurs. People who can't are called employees. In truth, step one is down to you it's your business and you can sell what you want.

Indigenous cookery traditional South African cuisine In the precolonial period, indigenous cuisine was characterized by the use of a very wide range of fruits, nuts, bulbs, leaves and other products gathered from wild plants and by the hunting of wild game. The domestication of cattle in the region about two thousand years ago by Khoisan groups enabled the use of milk products and the availability of fresh meat. However, during the colonial period the seizure of communal land in South Africa restricted and discouraged traditional agriculture and wild harvesting, and reduced the extent of land available to black people. A high profile game is endowed with massive development costs (perhaps US$5 million or more), a generous advertising budget, a large development staff, and a very visible presence for game retailers and magazines. To recoup the enormous upfront expenses, high profile games tend to utilise cutting-edge graphics (which require high hardware performance), and tie-ins with other media such as movies or books. A low profile game is aimed at a smaller market, and may be limited to a single platform, or user community. It may have been developed by a single person (or small group), and be advertised in specialized newsgroups and mailing lists, leading to a substantial reduction in costs. Low profile games may have less `polish', use less state-of the-art graphics, and place more emphasis on game design and characterization. 2. Advertising is good for customers, because otherwise they wouldn't know about new products, that different companies are offering. Advertising also keeps the prices lower, for example, when we watch TV and we see 3 different types of commercials based on the same product, then we choose the cheapest product. It means, that every company wants to sell, but for selling they have to keep prices as low as possible. There are different types of advertising techniques, one is aimed at grown ups and other one is for children. Advertisments for grown ups are based on 2 things, how good the product is
