Advertising has a bad influence on children
Advertising is one way of marketing . The aim of advertising is to get people’s attention that people would buy one particular company’s products or services.
Commercials and ads are not only directed to adults but also for children’s.
The good thing of advertising is that it helps us to become aware of the products in the market and the bad thing is the negative effect on childrens .
To begin with, childrens are defenseless. They do not understand the ads or commercials, they do not know that it is only a business plan. Advertisements are made in such a way as to attract the attention of children. And that leads to there that children ask their parents to buy some certain products. Children are very useful customers for companies , they help businesses to increase their profits.
Secondly, children are often able to remember messages targeted towards adults and kids remember the content in advertisements what will have a influence on children for a very long time. Very large influence on children has junk food commercials or ads. When children see on TV junk food commercials they want to try it, and when they do, they become to like junk food, but children do not understand that junk food is not good for their health. They are unaware of the fact that junk food does not contain nutritional value . One thing is that the people who are in junk food commercials are usually thin not fat and in some age children may think than when they eat junk food they become as thin as the models in these commercials.
Thirdly, parents are often worried about what their children are looking from TV, but parents can not always protect them from bad influencing ads or commercials. Parents should teach to their children the importance and value of money. Also they should talk about how to become less influenced by the messages in the ads and how to be critical of ads. Parents should also set limits for example how long kids can watch TV or play on the computer.
In conclusion, I think that advertising has bad influence when parents do not look what their kids are watching from TV or from Internet . On the other hand it is our task to not let us and our children to get affected by the advertisements.

every company can offord it. On the other hand, nowadays the popularity of TV commercials is getting smaller because of the Internet. More and more people use Internet more than they watch TV. In conclusion, Allthough advertising on TV is the easyest way to advertise, it might me a bit too expencive for some companies and they shouls consider advertising on the Internet. Advantages and disadvantages of television

Now this medium of communication allows people to see and speak with each other if they are separated by thousands of kilometres. TV bridges between Russia and the USA once were very popular. They showed that TV was a unifying force and that our planet in reality is a small world. Previously innovations were promoted on TV. TV shocked, surprised and stimulated. It brought ballet, opera, and theatre to big masses of people. It was even in the vanguard of new drama. Moreover, TV can keep children quiet. If they are noisy their mothers turn on the set. If people do not like TV they do not buy it or switch it off. At the same time there are a lot of arguments against TV. It is said that only three generations have grown up with television, but they managed to forget how to spend their free time without television. Its role is increasing not because it is an entertainer or informant, but because of the grip it has on many people. It is called a "living room monster" or "one-eyed monster

Inglise keele kodulugemine teemal: Mass Media

Mass Media What is Mass Media? Statistics show that there are few things which impact the human mind more than mass media. The advice of teachers, parents and relatives may fall on deaf ears, but the mass media influence holds us all spellbound! At this point, it becomes necessary to define mass media. Mass media may be defined as any form of communication which is meted out to the people at large, through the various forms of communication. What modes of communication are we talking about? Well there can be no static definition for the channels of mass communication as they are increasing all the time. But any form of communication which is seen and understood by a large mass of people can be taken

English people say that children grow up more quickly now. Relationships within the British family are different now. Children have more freedom to make their own decisions. For example, children aged 13 may be employed part time in Great Britain. Age 15 is legally a "young person" not a "child". Age 16 is a school leaving age. There should be a complete ban on the advertising of dangerous products like cigarettes and alcohol

and alcohol There are many legal but dangerous products like cigarettes and alcohol that get a lot of advertising. You can see those advertisements almost everywhere, from streets to television. Should they be banned? Are they useful? Most of these ads are meant for people who don't smoke or drink alcohol and since most of the adults already do one or both of them, they are mainly made for children. It's not like the tobacco or alcohol companies would agree with me on that, but this is how I see it. That makes me agree with the ban, to keep children away from bad habits. People who already smoke or drink mostly don't care about the advertisements and are not affected by them. It can clearly be seen that such adverts are only useful for the companies who gain money from new "addicts". Since new smokers increase pollution and make streets

It is said that advertising is legalized lying

It is said that advertising is legalized lying. Are the advertised products as useful and needed as they are presented to be? Ads want to make us believe that we need the things or services they are advertising. Advertisements are often placed anywhere people can easily see or hear the information such as TV- or radio commercials. Most of the potential consumers look at the products offered by the media and assume that these items would be effective and useful to them in everyday use. Therefore people who create advertisements have realized that consumers want to buy items that famous people have advertised. The stars prmoting the product most of the time dont even use it.
