Government has taken a much more comprehensive approach to governance compared with England by placing critical importance around the rights of children and young people in 61 Cyntia Carter and Stuart Allan, p. 220-222. 62 Such et al, 2005, p. 304. 63 Youth in Society, ed. by Jeremy Roche and Stanley Tucker (London: Sage, 1997), pp.26-34 64 Youth in Society, pp. 32-33 65 Welsh Government, Children`s Rights Scheme (2014), http://wales.gov.uk/docs/dsjlg/publications/cyp/140501-childrens-rights-scheme- 2014-en.pdf [accessed 2 May 2014] 16 policy making.66 The excessive number of key policies and strategies developed along with NGO`s, local authorities, stakeholders and with children themselves after the adoption of the UNCRC has been outstanding as there is a strong belief within the Welsh Government that children and childhood has always been `more than preparation for adulthood`

Educational problems of public school, Report

Report The aim of this report is to compare Estonian and British students opinion on educational system. We wrote down our opinion on the 6th of september 2012 in our english class. We had 12 students who gave an opinion about the Estonian educational system. Corporal punishment is illegal in British and Estonian schools. 62% of British childrens think that it would be needful but only 31% Estonian childrens have the same opinion. Actually it could be not banned, because if they used controlled corporal punishment it is not likely to be harmful. I would argue that there were actually fewer discipline problems back in the old days when corporal punishment was more common. Most school in England require children to wear school uniform. Estonian children no longer wear uniforms but few decades ago they wore uniforms. 74% British students and 39% Estonian

Advertising has a bad influence on children

Advertising has a bad influence on children Advertising is one way of marketing. The aim of advertising is to get people's attention that people would buy one particular company's products or services. Commercials and ads are not only directed to adults but also for children's. The good thing of advertising is that it helps us to become aware of the products in the market and the bad thing is the negative effect on childrens. To begin with, childrens are defenseless. They do not understand the ads or commercials, they do not know that it is only a business plan. Advertisements are made in such a way as to attract the attention of children. And that leads to there that children ask their parents to buy some certain products. Children are very useful customers for companies, they help businesses to increase their profits. Secondly, children are often able to remember messages targeted towards

Some people say that board games are only for small children

Some people say that board games are only for small children. If someone says "board game" then people will start think about small kids playing snake and ladders. I agree that that kind of board games is for childrens but nowadays there is very much dice games for grown-ups too. The most famous adults board game is chess. Much children can play it too, but still it needs little bit bigger brain and someway it likes for intelligent people more than the others. Another board game for grown-ups is "Cashflow", it is the game which teaches how to invest your money and how to get it work for yourself. It is quite hard

School uniform pros and cons

School uniform's pros and cons School uniforms are verry popular nowadays, mostly in private schools. But would school uniforms make our lives better? There is no doubt that school uniforms have many advantages. Firstly, they encourage discipline. It would also free children from the pressure to buy trendy clothes. All the childrens would be dressed in the same way and as a result it would cut out a school bullying, which is often used, because some children do not have money to buy expensive and fashionable clothes and they are bullied because of that. Children would not have to think about what to wear in the morning and parents save time taking children shopping and spending extra money. Children will be that much less focused on appearance and more on learning.

School Uniform

Second reason that schools have school uniforms is because of the gangs. They believe, when all of the children wear the same clothes, they will not have any gangs. But students communicate with each other outside school too, so gangs will still arise. Last but not least, school uniforms are an unfair additional expense for parents and besides that a financial burden for poor families. School uniform is usually expensive and childrens grow every year - so they need new school uniform every year! I think that students have the right to wear whatever they want. If school uniforms take away their freedom, they might never want to learn again. I like that we don't have school uniforms in Rakke Gymnasium. It's my freedom to be the person I want to be. I don't think that the uniform will change me or my beliefs, but it will prevent my personality.

Art-based learning We can see that art-based learning is not a regular method in school. Although I barely can understand why. It seems to me, that it is rather interesting way of learning. I also would like to point out, that childrens emotional memory is strong and pleasant things will be understood and remembered more. Therefore I would like to discribe the method thoroughly. Only in the past few hundred years has reading been the primary way of teaching religion. For centuries, religious education relied on hearing and seeing. Religious education can benefit by returning to the ages-old methods of hearing and seeing to complement reading. This method

To arrange for the transfer of your property to your beneficiaries after you die, you must use one or some combination of various legal devices. The two most popular are will and living trusts. Wills A will, the simplest estate planning device to prepare, is a document that leaves some or all your property to beneficiaries you choose. You can also use a will to name an adult guardian for your young childrens. The principal drawback of a will is that it must normally go through probate, a complicated and expensive court proceeding. Living Trusts A living trust is a legal document similar to a will in function, exept that no probate or other court proceedings are required to turn property over to beneficiaries. Because of this, living trusts are the most popular probate- avoidance device. Beneficiaries Direct beneficiaries come in two types:

Today, hundreds of thousands of kids belong to them. The growing number of book clubs and its members only shows the childrens' growing interest in reading books. 7. Conclusion Libraries and books have and always will be an important part of our lives and valuable sources of information. TV is a waste of time and also may cause different symptoms of many illnesses. TV programmes show a violence at cartoons and other programmes which a available for children too. Watching TV can limit childrens imagination and also can effect their behavior in a negative way. On TV, there are also many movies, which present violence, but are not suitable and healthy to whatch for children, neither adults. The imaginary conversation between the Irish writer Oscar Wilde (1854-1900) and Estonian writer Eduard Vilde (1865-1933), depicted in the statue, might have taken place in the year 1892, but actually, the two men never did meet. A copy of the sculpture was given as a gift from the town of Tartu to the Irish city of Galway in 2004. Father and Son The bronze sculpture, "Father and Son", created by sculptor Ülo Õuna (1944-1988), was placed on Küüni Street, on Children's Day ('childrens protection day'), 1 June 2004. Bridges Tartu Stone Bridge In the 18th century the first stone bridge in the Baltics was built at the end of the Town Hall Square, with two triumph arches and a lifting centre, which was dedicated to Catherine II and was opened for traffic in 1784. The bridge was destroyed in World War II, now it can only be admired by way of the model bridge, which was created in 2004. Tartu was hit by a great fire

Most of my Russian skills my ten years younger mates envy come from my year of living in Narva (literally starve or learn!) and talking to a variety of Estonian-Russian roleplayers I know. (But since they are also fluent in English and most in Estonian as well, it turns into a stew of languages very soon.) Chronologically the second language I started to learn was French. That was because of the Descartes Lyceum. Don't remember much of that, except for half a dozen badly spelt childrens' songs. Alouette is a really cruel song about tearing different body parts off a lark just to teach kids the names of those parts (and they are not even lark but human parts). I remember one of our young teachers used to play guitar in class and sing for us. That was really cool. Unfortunately we moved and my French studies took a long break, until my one but final school, but there I met a teacher who was anything but good at French, and not only because she was actually a German philologist.

about some subjects appearing while interviews. 30 people filled in this questionnaire. It appeared while interviews, that ,,Hõbevalge" as a book this theme park is based on, is not a good marker for the main concept of a the theme park suitable for families. It is too narrow and distant for this target group. Main concept should be clear and understandable, it should connect to something important for them. Research confirmed Neil Carrs words, that preschool childrens` wishes and needs are not much different of their wishes and needs at home. They need familiar surroundings which should be considered in product development. There shouldn`t be too many new things for small children.
