Kristin Loit Advertising has a bad influence on children Advertising is one way of marketing. The aim of advertising is to get people's attention that people would buy one particular company's products or services. Commercials and ads are not only directed to adults but also for children's. The good thing of advertising is that it helps us to become aware of the products in the market and the bad thing is the negative effect on childrens. To begin with, childrens are defenseless. They do not understand the ads or commercials, they do not know that it is only a business plan. Advertisements are made in such a way as to attract the attention of children. And that leads to
they solve it. They think, "Where is my bottle of vodka?'' There are several possible solutions to this problem. What clearly needs to be done is to encourage people to handle their problems without using alcohol. Firstly, we have to teach them that thinking clearly is more effective than thinking with an alcohol bottle. Secondly, we should tell them that they have got supportive friends whom they can rely on. Another suggestion is that the media should not promote drinking. Commercials are very effective with teenagers because commercials are very colourful and memorable. Also, when teenagers see some beautiful advertisement with lots of people who are having a party with drinks they want to be like them. What is more, these commercials teach them that a party is more fun with different alcoholic drinks. Finally, different clubs and pubs security guards should ask more effectively for documents to prove the age of the visitors
Advestising Robert Rivik There are many different ways to advertise, most of advertisments that we see are TV commercials and also we can hear advertisments from radio and see advertising posters in public places. Advertising is good for customers, because otherwise they wouldn't know about new products, that different companies are offering. Advertising also keeps the prices lower, for example, when we watch TV and we see 3 different types of commercials based on the same product, then we choose the cheapest product. It means, that every company wants to sell, but
necessary as housewives, who cannot survive without a man? Well, I am and I think it is time to take real action about this problem! We can’t let the advertisers carry on without any moral responsibility. I understand that we live in a very sexualized world, which means subsequently that sexual content dominates in media. Due to this, we often just attempt to ignore sexist commercials. This is a huge mistake however! This kind of attitude will maintain the sexism in advertisements. An additional aspect of advertisements that strongly disturbs me is that the inclusion of only stereotypically beautiful women who are mainly attractive in men’s eyes. Have you not noticed that? You definitely have as it can be seen everywhere! The
full but there are some negative aspects that disturb me . Walking down the street I notice litter such as wraps of different kind of junk food, old cigarettes and pieces of gum. Furthermore, I would make the people understand not to throw their trash on the ground but to recycle everything. Make it so that it is illegal to trash and it is the law to recycle. So that eventually everyone would take trash personally. Secondly, When ever I turn on the television there are commercials after commercials. Everything is circling around profits these days. I would change that. I would not want to completely destroy money but to have it as an utility that everyone has. Moreover, people would take pride in producing earth friendly high quality items. Not because of money but because it brings them joy. Thirdly, children are forgetting to respect their parents. It is important to listen and love them when they are around. I would preserve and increase the love in a family.
The Effects of Computer-Generated Images Nowadays, people are surrounded by all kind of generated images. Computer- generated imagery is the applications of computer graphics to create or contribute to images in art, printed media, video games, films, television programs, commercials. Everybody sees the world much prettier, thanks to the images, but. What are the effects of computer-generated images? Firstly, people are getting use to the thought, that everything around them is free from defects. People watch movies and pictures, play games and do not think, that everything they see is not a reality. They get depressed when finding out that the actual look of an object is not the same as it was on the pictures
Furthermore, newspaper is the oldest media channel in last centuries. It is the only one that doesn't need electricity. Also, it is easily readable in public transport. Newspaper treats the news in greater depth. For example, long interviews, analyses. Many people value this when they can read something they hold in their hands. On the other hand, there are plenty of disadvantages using different media channels. Television's biggest disadvantages are commercials. They might last 15 minutes and they scream into your face. Unfortunately television producers do not want to know anything about laws and regulations that bear on commericials. Furthermore there are too much violence in television and it might be addictive. Also, radio has its disadvantages. Firstly, there is no picture. It means that deaf people couldn't get any information via radio. In addition, you have to know the frequency by heart because it differs when you move. When

Truly great stories succeed because they are able to capture the imagination of large and important audiences. A great story is true. Not true because it´s factual, but true because it´s consistent and authentic. Great stories make a promise. They promise fun or money, safety or a shortcut. The promise is bold and audacious and not very good. Great stories are trusted. Trust is the scarcest resource we´ve got left. Consumers don ´t trust the spokespeople on commercials and companies that make pharmaceuticals. Great stories are subtle. Surprisingly, the less a marketer spells out, the more powerful the story becomes. Great stories happen fast. First impressions are far more powerful than we give them credit for. Great stories don´t always need eight- pages colour brochures or a face- to- face meeting. Great stories are rarely aimed to everyone. Average people have too many different points of view about life.
TV also helps you to relax easily. It is a lot of fun to watch TV and have a beer with your friends. TV also helps to take up a new topic to talk about. Some TV programmes are very educating and help students with their school work. My favorite TV programmes are political talkshows. They help me to be more critical to provocations. But watching TV all day long is not healthy. It can really affect your eyes. The most annoying thing about television is that the TV companies show more commercials than programmes. Also there is too much violence and sexuality on TV. In my opinion this only shows that there aren't much quality programmes because manufacturers just want to make cheap money. For ending there is no good TV or bad TV. Television has its own good and bad sides like everything else in this world and that's the way it should be.
leagues. The first servings of CocaCola were sold for 5 cents per glass. During the first year, sales averaged only nine servings per day in Atlanta. Today, daily servings of CocaCola beverages are estimated at 1.8 billion globally. Before it goes to market, each Coca-Cola product undergoes nearly 450 different tests to ensure that ingredient and packaging quality meets Company standards. The Coca-Cola Company has done tons of warmhearted and kind TV-commercials, in order to attract people to buy their beverage more often. Most of the commercials are shown in Christmastime and include Santa-Claus. Coca-Cola has also a lot of campaigns. For example, one campaign is where they type peoples' names on the bottles and cans. This way people buy Coke more and more, when they find their name written on the bottle. In Atlanta, there is even a museum of Coke called The World of Coca-Cola. It was opened in 2007

It is said that advertising is legalized lying. Are the advertised products as useful and needed as they are presented to be? Ads want to make us believe that we need the things or services they are advertising. Advertisements are often placed anywhere people can easily see or hear the information such as TV- or radio commercials. Most of the potential consumers look at the products offered by the media and assume that these items would be effective and useful to them in everyday use. Therefore people who create advertisements have realized that consumers want to buy items that famous people have advertised. The stars prmoting the product most of the time dont even use it. They are just hired to make people believe that the products promoted are the best on the market
Advantages and disadvantages of advertising Nowdays advertising is a huge part of our everyday life. We probably could not even imagine a life without commercials on TV, big posters and neon screens on streets and advertisments in newspapers and magazines. But like everything else in this world, advertising also has it is advantages and disadvantages. Starting with advantages the biggest plus is probably that advertising can inform people about different products and services, their utilities, cost and other requirement. Also, advertisements about non-commercial issues like AIDS can help in educating people and notifying possible problem
One of the main idea of today's busy and hectic lifestyle is to get more and more money and posessions, achieve higher goals, while the important aspects in life are often forgotten or less valued. However, the saying that you cannot buy everything, is not just a nugatory phrase. There are things in life which are a lot more precious than money could ever buy. Perhaps the modern world enables the material thinking. The constant commercials, for instance, in bus stations, saying "the one who has more things when he/she dies is the winner", are good ways to brainwash people. That is why crowds rush to supermarkets and malls, when some ''shopping rally'' is announced to buy. By doing that, people start neglecting the valuable immaterial substance. From the point of view of the individual, money is vital for survival. Western society is structured in such a way that, without money, people are deprived of the possibilities to get
I have to say that I understand both sides. I believe that television can have a negative effect on children because there is so much violence in movies and TV shows. Also watching TV can make you lazy. It's physically, mentally, and emotionally lazy. It requires no physical, mental, or emotional participation It's an addictive excuse that keeps people from leaving the house and communicating with real people. The commercials are also very annoying. But I think that there are still more positive aspects than negative ones. For example, watching TV can be educational. It can develop young children's learning skills. TV is also a good source of information. It allows people to have different kinds of information in easy way. News, current events and historical programming can help make young people more aware of other cultures and people. Documentaries can help develop critical thinking about society and the world
The pollution of water kills hundreds of thousands of water animals and birds. Some of the big companies have accepted the problem and are taking action. For example McDonald`s and Burger King are not using plastic straws anymore. Second thing that affects the life on Earth is overpopulation. The estimated population in 2050 is near 10 billion. Population growth also raises overconsumption. People are encouraged to consume by companies and their commercials. The problem is that humans are consuming more than the Earth can regenerate. The exhaustible resources are running out. And with the population growing, it will become an even bigger probleem. This means people in the future may not have enough resources, because right now humans are using too much. Another huge problem is global warming. The effects of global warming can already be seen today. Half of the Great Barrier Reef already dead because of the increasing temperature.

So you could press one or two buttons to call up your television in any form of video-releated entertainment you desire, which allows you to sit on one's couch. The internet's invasion of the living room marks so called third era of television. The first era arrived in middle of the last century and in 1980s cable televison ushered in the second era by using copper wires bundled into coaxial cables to transmit hundreds more channels into the home. Network TV was financed exclusively by commercials aand cable networks collected a fee per customer per month. In the 1990s engineers worked out way to deliver digital data on top of cable television signals. This meant that cable customers could get broadband internet without additional infrastructure. So the cable companies became corporate giants who distributed television and also the internet. Getting the video into your computer is one thing, but getting it to your 40-inch high-definition TV
On the other hand, money is not the only thing in the world and money does not give you everything. You can't buy a family and friends. In conclusion, even if people work every day in order to pay for their expences, money is not the only thing in the world that makes people happy and satisfied with their life Advertising on TV Advertising on TV is a very popular way that companies use to advertise their products. First of all, advertisements on TV are called commercials and to get air time on Tv is very expencive and not every company can offord it. Secondly, TV commercials mingt be the easyest way to advertise products because for example in the radio You can not see the product, you can only hear what people are talking about it. On the other hand, nowadays the popularity of TV commercials is getting smaller because of the Internet. More and more people use Internet more than they watch TV.
regular check-ups with doctors are necessary,it is better to know that you are healthy than to go visit a doctor when your illness has already almost defeated you. I think that every people is responsible for his/her own health. For example you can't go and accuse parliament because you are overweight or having a stress. This is a problem you have to deal by yourself. But what can governments do to promote a healthy lifestyle. Well I think that all kind of commercials about alcohol and than kind of stuff in TV and computer have to be forbidden, that will help a lot I think. It is known that children spend too much time at the computer and I think that limiting the time is very good, because first of all computer is not good for a growing child eyes and the more time they spend at the computer the less they move. But i think that not just parents can't help students to be healthy, also schools would do something
His father was a strict man, who wasn't afraid to use force and abuse his children. Disney lived on a farm, where he started loving animals, which was propably the reason for his animal cartoons. After the farm failed, he and his family moved to Missouri, where he started drawing. Disney left school (McKinley high school) at 17, because he wanted to go to war and he participated in World War l. He came home in 1919 and started working as illustrator for commercials. In 1923 he and his brother Roy went to Hollywood with just 40 dollars and there his life changed totally, where he had success after success. He is most known for his animated cartoons, most popular of which is Mickey Mouse, whom he gave the voice himself. Mickey Mouse was his first great success. Mickey Mouse first appeared in 1928 and it was the first animated cartoon with synchronized voice in history of animation.

The whole families watches television eating dinner, sapper, spending their free time in this way. Instead of going to the park, wood, to the lake or for a trip. Nowadays there is many violence on tv. Jung children are watching full of violence and brutality cartoons and movies. They spend whole day siting in front of screen. Every tv-station broadcasts many commercials, the movies are being interrupted and we are watching commercials for few minutes. We also have to single out the really interesting programs and movies because there is many stupid and boring programs. I have show only a few features of television. Of course it is only a small part. Watching television can give us many positives things like news, entertainment and knowledge but it can by also dangerous. I watch very rarely television, generally only eating my breakfast or sapper
Advertising, Ceramics, Specialty composition, Computer design, Photography etc. For example in Computer design we study different picture and video editing programs such as Adobe Photoshop, Corel, Adobe Illustrator etc, we edit photos and make ad's. In Advertising Psychology we study why are the ad's like they are, how the work, why does the company use the colors they use. We analyze and explore different ad's and commercials. In Painting we paint and draw Nature Morte and at the end of every semester we rip them on the walls and all the teachers rate them. At the end of every year we have a few month of practice where we go to some Design company or like I did go to some newspaper and practice what we've learned. This is also graded by the teachers. Artistic design graduates are trained to work at advertising agency's, in media, and manufacturing companies.
John Winslet and Sally Ann Bridges. Her father was swimming-pool contractor and her mother was a barmaid, though both of them shared a common interest of acting. She had two sisters-Beth Winslet and Anna Winslet, who were also into the same profession of acting. Raised as an Anglican, Winslet started studying drama at 11 at the Redroofs Theatre School, Berkshire. Here she soon became the head girl and was cast as a spokesperson for a cereal in television commercials. Acting career of Kate Winslet In 1991, she started her career on television by co-starring in Dark Season, a children's science fiction serial on the BBC. Subsequently, she appeared in the made-for-TV `Anglo-Saxon Attitudes' in 1992. Then once again for the BBC, she did an episode of the medical drama `Casualty' (1993). In the year 1994, her film career took flight with appreciation when she starred in `Heavenly Creatures' as Juliet Hulme to play the role of an
television, but they managed to forget how to spend their free time without television. Its role is increasing not because it is an entertainer or informant, but because of the grip it has on many people. It is called a "living room monster" or "one-eyed monster." It is established that the biggest viewers are pensioners and housewives. The latter watch TV while their husbands are at work. In total they spend five hours daily sitting before the "boxes." Children watch commercials, horror films or films of violence. TV prevents children from creating their abilities. They get accustomed to TV to such an extent that they watch it all the time. To force their children away from their favourite evening programmes to their homework has eventually become the main problem of the parents of different countries. Moreover, TV is damaging for health. It has bad effect on the eyes, particularly of children. The physicians proved
Regardless of the orgin, the drink refers to a cocktail made with gin and vermouth, and garnished with an olive or a lemon twist. Maven – In the modern American English, maven means someone who knows a lot about a particular subject. The term comes from Yiddish meyvn and from Hebrew mebhin, literally translating into "one who understands." The term (spelled as mayvin) was first recorded in English in 1950, and became popular in the United States in the 1960s thanks to the series of commercials created by Martin Solow for Vita Herring, featuring "The Beloved Herring Maven." maverick – The modern definition of maverick (“an unusual person who has different ideas and ways of behaving from other people, and is often very successful”) differs somewhat from the original meaning of “calf or yearling found without an owner's brand", derived in 1867 from Samuel A. Maverick, Texas cattle owner who was known for not branding his calves. The sense
In Quebec, cultural identity is strong, and many Quebecois commentators speak of a Quebec culture as distinguished from English Canadian culture. Canadian popular media is heavily influenced by America. Easy access to broadcast media has brought many American influences into Canadian culture since the mid20th century. As a reaction, many Canadians attempt to define Canadian culture by their heritage (Canadian Heritage Moment Commercials, Beer Brewing history, peacekeeping, hockey history) and values as different from those of the United States. At the same time, easy access to American media has allowed many Canadian performers and entertainers to succeed internationally in the areas of music, comedy, movies, and television. Confusing the issue further, many Canadian entertainers and Canadian entertainment companies are often
The average American, by the time he is sixty years old, will have spent fifteen years staring at the TV screen. In many other countries the figures are similar. Many people find watching TV “relaxing.” Observe yourself closely and you will find that the longer the screen remains the focus of your attention, the more your thought activity becomes suspended, and for long periods you are watching the talk show, game show, sitcom, or even commercials with almost no thought being generated by your mind. Not only do you not remember your problems anymore, but you become temporarily free of yourself – and what could be more relaxing than that? So dos TV watching create inner space? Does it cause you to be present? Unfortunately, it does not. Although for long periods your mind may not be generating any thoughts, it has linked into the thought activity of the television show. It has linked up with the TV version of the collective
The Deutsch and Gerard finding that we are truest to our decisions if we have bound ourselves to them publicly can be put to good use. Consider the organiza- tions dedicated to helping people rid themselves of bad habits. Many weight- reduction clinics, for instance, understand that often a person's private decision to lose weight will be too weak to withstand the blandishments of bakery windows, wafting cooking scents, and late-night Sara Lee commercials. So they see to it that the decision is buttressed by the pillars of public commitment. They require their clients to write down an immediate weight-loss goal and show that goal to as many friends, relatives, and neighbors as possible. Clinic operators report that frequently this simple technique works where all else has failed. COMMITMENT IS THE KEY

Jasper sat motionlessly at the desk in the corner, his eyes watching the news with no glimmer of interest. I sat on the floor next to the coffee table, where a tray of food waited, and began picking at it without noticing what I was eating. Alice perched on the arm of the sofa and stared blankly at the TV like Jasper. I ate slowly, watching her, turning now and then to glance quickly at Jasper. It began to dawn on me that they were too still. They never looked away from the screen, though commercials were playing now. I pushed the tray away, my stomach abruptly uneasy. Alice looked down at me. "What's wrong, Alice?" I asked. "Nothing's wrong." Her eyes were wide, honest... and I didn't trust them. "What do we do now?" "We wait for Carlisle to call." "And should he have called by now?" I could see that I was near the mark. Alice's eyes flitted from mine to the phone on top of her leather bag and back. "What does that mean?" My voice quavered, and I fought to control it
The stage director Hanno Kompus (1890-1974) placed emphasis on a wide and varied classical repertoire: Bizet, Borodin, Rossini, Tchaikovsky, Verdi and Wagner. Ringhääling (Estonian Broadcasting) was established in 1926 as a regular joint- stock company. Radio plays and public radio events were quickly introduced. Felix Moor (1904-1958) became a very popular radio actor. Estonian cinema was very active in the years 1920-1932, producing newsreels, educational films and commercials and experimenting with feature films. The first full- length feature film Mineviku varjud (Shadows of the Past, 1924), directed by Konstanin Märska (1896-1951), is a historical melodrama about the ancient Estonians’ fight against invasion. The best theatre actors were engaged: Paul Pinna, Ants Lauter, Benno Hansen, among others. The first full-length documentary Filmikaameraga läbi Eesti (With Film Camera through Estonia, 1924) gained international recognition. Märska is
