The Person I Admire Most

The Person I Admire Most Ever since I first saw Petra Opris, a very special person in my life, my heart began to beat. Was love at the first waves crashing on the beach and now is my girlfriend of 8 months. She is quite tall, fit, and have sixteen year. Her blue eyes and her bright smile makes her beautiful. Her hair is long, brunette and semi-curly. Petra prefers wearing confortable, casual clothes. Petra is Aries in zodiac and she was born on April 9. When I saw her the first time I started to text her messages all day. Since I wrote "You complete my happiness", she was in love with me. In February 13 I organized my birthday at a pub called Oscar and of course I invited her. We dance all night toghether and we started a relationship, although I knew her only sine one week. First date was on cinema at “50 Shades of Grey” movie. Funny right?  Every time ...

Seventeenth summer

Seventeenth Summer was the first novel published by author Maureen Daly in 1942. The book talks about a girl's first experience with dating and falling in love. (A seventeenth year old girl named Angie who falls for the popular boy Jack.) I think this book was really good. But it is a little bit slow book, it does not really have any action in it and it just more of a leisurely book to read. I liked the romance and the character development, I liked the simplistic nature of their love. It made me yearn for respect and honor, modesty and decency. I admire that slow courtship. The book itself I think was not fantastic, but overall, I felt good reading this book because it still had the romantic aspect but with a new approach to it.

Discription of classmate

Moreover, she is the life and soul of a party, which makes her extremely sociable. Pointing out her tendency to be incredibly precise and insistance an perfection. Some people claim she may seem quick-tempered but in reality deep down, she is really an amiable person. Kristy has a very unpredictable lifestyle, for this reason she spends a lot of time exercising. In her spare time she goes either to a swimming pool or climbing in the mountains which I admire most. In the future she would love to fulfil one of her childhood dreams, namely to become and actress. To sum up, Kristy really deserves admiration due to her ambition and optimism. She shows people how to be a better person. I hope our friendship will never end. Alex Smirnov 10A

Amy Lee

The man she founded Evanescence with was Ben Moody, whom she met at a youth camp. Within a month, the pair was playing acoustic sets at Arkansas book stores and coffee houses. After recording several EPs, it was October 22nd 2003, when Ben Moody Left the band citing "creative differences." After that incident, "Anywhere but Home" and "The Open Door" were the records that Amy made with the band. Both albums have become very popular and sold millions of copies all over the world. What I admire about Amy Lee is her incredibly beautiful style, marked by her occasional use of Gothic make-up and taste for Victorian-styled clothing. The fact that she often designs and sews her own dresses is what made me have even more respect for her. What many fans praise Lee for is her refusal to emulate other celebrities by using sex appeal in her music. In my opinion, she is truly the most talented, sincere and admirable woman in the music scene of this century. Emma Reinhold Secunda Sotsiaal

problems she is always there for me and atleast tries to help me out even when there is nothing to help with. From time to time we fight but have you ever heard of sisters who don't have their differences but we resolve them quite fast that sometimes we even forget why we were fighting at the first place. I like the fact that she doesn't get angry when i borrow something of hers and the same goes vice versa. To be quite frank I adore my sister and sometimes even admire the things she is willing to do for me because sometimes I can really act nasty against her but as I said before we resolve our differences fast and the hate part just fades away. The fact that my sister is willing to take blame for something I've done and tries to protect me is the most heart touching and I know even when we are fighting that deep down we still love and care for each other.

The Down Hall Tallinn's original Town Hall was established sometime in the 13th Century, and was replaced by the current Gothic monument, hewn from limestone, in 1402-1404. The Hall served its function as the home of the city administration for an incredible 700 years, right up until 1970. It remains an incredible building inside and out. From within, admire vaulted roofs and brightly decorated colonnades, from outside marvel at the slender tower, topped with Renaissance spire (added in 1627), reaching 64m towards the ether. And the media was only saying bad words about Michael Jackson. It is a miracle that he got through the problems and went on with his life, even dispiting the media. To sum up i would like to say that Michael Jackson was a great man. He was good at music which I admire, but he was good at getting over hes problems too. The death of Michael makes me sad and there is no rest for him in the coffin too, because he has many accusions on himself.

Living in the countryside – a pleasant experience or a never-ending hardship?

negative sides. There are differences in the environment, in job opportunities and how expencive or cheap is to live in the countryside. Those differences are making people to think about advantages and disadvantages of living in a countryside. There are several advantages, why to live in the countryside. First, environment in the countryside is very different. There is less pollution and there is no danger because there are no´t so many cars, motorbikes, and factories. You can admire the beautiful landscapes such as huge meadows, peaceful hills or forests. You can keep yourself in fit and you do not have to worry about your health, because there are pure air and water. Life in a countryside is much cheaper than in the city. You can grow your own vegetables and fruits. It is healthier and cheaper way to eat and live. People in a countryside are very friendly and kind. They are helpful for each others and they alert their neighbour's if there is something weird going on.

Happiness

Money is definitely one of the most vital sources of happiness. Also in this subject the lack of it which brings the unhappiness all over the world. We cannot deny the importance of it but we must value what we have and not cry over the things we do not. Some of us are rich and wealthy, some of us are not. Usually it is so that people who cannot afford everything and who have suffered more in life are living in reality with both feet on the ground. I admire them due to the fact that sometimes I get 10 feet off the ground and I do not want to come down. But I am bothered by those who can only complain, because then they miss the bright side of life. They will not even notice when something great is happening in their life. I am saying that it is possible for every one of us to find happiness in this world. The main thing is to put things into perspective, try to find some positive out of the

School on cool!

Even some rainy day could make us sad ! It`s easy to study in winter, because nothing is calling us out. In spring only thought is what will i do after school? Weather is warm again and sun can be very foxy! Another disturbing factor is " annoying classmates" . Some people just want to put up a show. They scream , yell ugly words to teachers and impede the schoolwork. Thanks to the yellers, teachers are mad and ofcourse they punish the whole class. This is also very depressing. Just admire teachers! They can give us homework according to their mood. Sometimes opening the daiary and looking at the homework it just seems like teachers want to tease us! But in the other hand , teachers are half of our future ! Who else could have nerves made of wolfram? They listen to our whining from day to day , from week to week from year to year.. Teachers help us to learn stuff we need if we want to be succsesful and educated.

Pride and Prejudice Book report

He is handsome and intelliigent, but judgmental and concerned with social status. Soon there was a public ball in the village of Meryton, where Mr. Bingley demonstrates his admiration for Jane Bennet. Jane falls in love with him. I personally like the couplet, because they are quite open-minded to each other and they are more drollier than Mr.Darcy and Elizabeth. At first Darcy finds Elizabeth tolerable, but not handsome enough to tempt him, but as the plot evolves Darcy begins to admire her, though Elizabeth dislikes him. Mr.Collins arrives for a visit to the estate in order to marry. He asks Elizabeth, who refuses him. Collins marries Charlotte Lucas. Lizzie is disappointed in Charlotte. I find the marriage also inconvenient, because Charlotte would be unhappy with Collins. Elizabeth meets a young officer, Mr.Wickham, with who Elizabeth became a friend for a while. Honestly Wickham was a deceiver and a strange man, who married Lydia Bennet.

Unlike Marc, I grew up in the country. We had many animals and my mother taught me to take care of them already when I was a little girl. I learned to milk long before I could do anything else with my hands. (Laughs.) I have always had a special place in my heart for animals. I admire the beauty of horses, the bravery of dogs and the grace of cats, but cows are the most fascinating creatures of all they produce so much milk. And it's so unbelievably tasty! Was this what brought you together? Catherine: Well... Marc: Rather yes. Same interests were definitely a conducive factor. Catherine: Yes, indeed. But we met earlier, I had just moved here and I wasn't working in this farm yet. It was... I think eight years ago. And Marc was with his ex-wife. Marc: No, I wasn't.

Irish Christmas

The Christmas Tree The tree is decorated with tinsel and baubles and lights and gifts are put underneath. The gifts are opened on Christmas morning, not before! Here is a nice collection of Christmas ornaments and decorations from Ireland. Gift Giving: Presents are a big thing in Ireland. One need only visit the cousins to find that nearly anything that is admired is offered. The usual politeness must be abandoned. It's acceptable to tell another that a scarf, for example, suits them, but to admire it outright is akin to asking for it. Beware. At Christmas, gifts are given to the whole family. The Irish are generous people. If it is at all possible, everyone gets a little something. Usually, there is one main gift given by the person closest and a constellation of small gifts are exchanged based on relationship. At the very least, a Christmas card, usually with a robin or cardinal on it, and maybe a little folding paper inside, is given to extended family. St. Stephen's Day:

view is dramatically different--he begins to see life as Lord Henry does as a succession of pleasures in which questions of good and evil are irrelevant. Henry tolds Dorian that youth and beauty is most important things in life. Dorian wishes he could trade his soul to stay as young as he looks in the portrait. Dorian curses his portrait. Basil finishes his portrait of Dorian, and gives it to the young man, who keeps it in his home, where he can admire his own beauty. Lord Henry continues to exert his influence over Dorian, he grows more and more distant from Basil. Dorian and develops his own interests and proposes to live a life dedicated to the pursuit of pleasure. He falls in love with Sibyl Vane, a young actress who performs in a theater in London's slums. The Noble Savage in the 20th Century Fiction

Gandalf from The Hobbit (1937) and The Lord of the Rings (1954-1955), Dumbledore from the Harry Potter series (first book published in 1997) and even Tyler Durden in Fight Club (1996). They are all distinctive from the modern world, change the course of the journey for the main character and easily get our attention to give us the moral of the story. The problem with the stock character of a mentor is sometimes they are defined by comic relief. Although we look up to them and greatly admire their teaching, their weirdness still freaks us out a bit and these quirky sides of the mentor are funny to us. Laughter makes things more acceptable, it lets us trust the guide and accept the moral of the story. It not a big issue in creating this character but it reduces the respect we should have to it. The reason we do not learn anything from the hero lies with our need to identify ourselves with a character. The story would not be interesting if there were nobody we can relate to. The

It was begun in the 13th century, completed in the 14th and constantly improved and strengthened thereafter. The walls were 2.5 metres thick on average, over 2 km long, and their height reached 15-16 metres. The wall was fortified by 27 towers, 18 of which have survived. In Tower Square you can admire several of them. The strongest are the cannon towers Fat Margaret and Kiek in the Kök (Peep into the Kitchen). Many towers in the Town wall have been restored as fine restaurants, cafés and intimate concert calls. Two-thirds of the old wall have survived, making it one of the most special medieval sights in Tallinn. The Tallinn Town Hall The Town Hall, the centre of administration and judicial power, was definitely the most important public building in the Middle Ages

My Town

Here the landed gentry built their beautiful town houses. Most of the remaining buildings were erected after the big fire on Toompea in 1684. Historically, the fortress on Toompea consisted of two parts: the small fortress (today's Toompea Castle) and the big fortress (the rest of Toompea). The hill, with an area of 8 hectares, was the perfect location for a fort where people could find shelter in case of danger or war. Today Toompea attracts many visitors who come here to admire the panorama of Tallinn. Tall Hermann is in the Upper Town. It is the best-known corner tower among the three surviving ones of Toompea Castle. It is 46 metres high and serves as one of Estonia's landmarks. Tall Hermann was a traditional name given to the main towers of German castles. After the 50-year-long Soviet occupation, the Estonian blue-black- and-white tricolour was once again hoisted on Pikk Hermann on 24 February 1989. There are several viewing points in the Upper Town

Old Mr. Dashwood

Dashwood and then Henry, but they then carry on dramatically about having to leave Norland and move to the smaller cottage. Before departing, Marianne wanders the grounds of Norland uttering a histrionic elegy: "Dear, dear Norland... Oh! happy house... And you, ye well-known trees!" Elinor, however, experiences a far more subdued depression--though she is leaving behind not just her home but also a man she has grown to deeply care for and admire. The early chapters also display the wry irony for which Austen is so famous as a novelist. She is unsparingly critical of the characters she dislikes, but conveys her criticism with a pointed subtlety, which makes it all the more forceful. For example, in the opening chapter, Austen sketches the character of John Dashwood in three masterful sentences, achieving a biting

Carl Lewis

Carl Lewis The greatest and most famous athlete of the last century, who formerly won about 20 gold medals in four different events (100 m, 200 m, long jump and 4x100 relay), is called Carl, which is a nick that hides his true identity: Frederick Carlton Lewis. He was born on 1st July 1961 in Birmingham, Alabama, the same country of Jesse Owens for the will of doom: in fact his parents lived there fleetingly owing to their job. Third of five sons, he spent his childhood in Willingboro together with his younger sister Carol, Bill, his dad and Evelyn, his mother. Since his first years of life he could breath the soft and clean air of sport: his father used to train athletes at university and his mother was 6th at 80 m hurdles in the Pan-American games of 1951.He saw the Olympic games of 1968 on TV and could admire Bob Beamon: he was...

Foursyte Saga - The Man of Property

Soames visits the site often. He looks happy. Bosinney talks to him about the color of tiles and this and that. He wants to consult with Irene, whom he finds artistic. He has plans to see a play with June. ("Coming to our place to meet her, I suppose," says Soames in the novel, reflecting that Bosinney was always hanging around their house.) Bosinney does visit them. He walks over to Irene, who's playing the piano, and tells her that he doesn't flirt: if he sees something to admire, he admires it openly. Meaning that he admires her. Soames walks in and interrupts them, unknowing, with talk about the accounts of the house, which seem over budget. Irene sharply rebukes him for talking business in her drawing room, and Soames apologizes. She tells him to go off and change. He does so. Irene and Bosinney are alone again. June arrives for dinner, and creeps up on them unseen. She overhears some conversation that makes her suspicious

History of philosophy

sober, young vs. old, licentious vs. chaste, dissipation vs. virtue, beautiful vs. ugly, traitor vs. patriot. Socrates' Speech in the Symposium Love is neither beautiful nor ugly, but seeks beauty. In seeking beauty one is actually seeking immortality - Beautiful bodies give us healthy children who will honor us - Beautiful minds (Homer) give us works which will be honored long after we are dead - Beautiful souls (Solon) will create works which we will admire still more and still longer Love takes us out of ourselves and unites us with our object, whether a beautiful body, knowledge, or the gods. Origin of love is poverty and fulfillment. We only seek what we do not have. Love has to be between the ugly and beauty, just like the philosopher (is between ignorant and wisdom). Philosopher seeks wisdom, but he is not ignorant, so he has to have a part of this wisdom. Man is between gods (God) and reprobate- person, who is harden his heart to God. So if

same way they have done it for hundreds of years. Everything that a Blackman has tried to do, the Caucasians have copied and appropriated as their own. We must mimic their every move and pay them the same compliments that they have always paid us – that imitation is the best compliment. We must develop the brain of the Jew and the tenacity and death wish of the Caucasian. It is better to die in the sustained effort to reach your goals, than to die from fear of not even venturing. I admire the Jews immensely. They have used their brains to conquer the world in every facet of life. Through their brain power, they control how the world thinks. They are the experts in everything in this world. In fact, every time I tune to radio or television, invariably it is a Jewish individual who is called as expert to explain what had happened. Their brain power has made them financial barons of the world, the real estate moguls of the world, the titans of industry in every category

evening, a most excellent ball. I wish you had been there. Jane was so admired, nothing could be like it. Everybody said how well she looked; and Mr. Bingley thought her quite beautiful, and danced with her twice! Only think of that, my dear; he actually danced with her twice! and she was the only creature in the room that he asked a second time. First of all, he asked Miss Lucas. I was so vexed to see him stand up with her! But, however, he did not admire her at all; indeed, nobody can, you know; and he seemed quite struck with Jane as she was going down the dance. So he inquired who she was, and got introduced, and asked her for the two next. Then the two third he danced with Miss King, and the two fourth with Maria Lucas, and the two fifth with Jane again, and the two sixth with Lizzy, and the Boulanger--" "If he had had any compassion for me," cried her husband impatiently, "he would not have danced half so much

Your self-ideal is the first part of your personality and your self- concept. Your self-ideal is made up of all of your hopes, dreams, visions, and ideals. Your self-ideal is composed of the virtues, val- ues, and qualities that you most admire in yourself and others. Your self-ideal is the person you would most like to become, if you could be a perfect person in every way. These ideals guide and shape your behavior. Great men and women, leaders, and people of character are very clear about their values, visions, and ideals. They know who they are and what they believe in. They set high standards for them- selves, and they don’t compromise those standards. They are men

I found out that its popularity lies in its ability to change and develop with time and people. Romani music is so emotional, natural and sincere, so that people can laugh and cry along with the Romani musicians. Gypsy musicians have an unfailing ability to absorb local styles and make them their own. What I liked the most in this year paper, was searching information about gypsy punk and jazz. I had not heard about these styles before, so I got a lot of new music to listen to. I also admire Romani musicians´ great playing skills. Gypsies have something to be proud of and it is their music. 30 LISA 1 1. ZURNA (http://img2.blogcu.com/images/y/a/g/yagmurve/1231557839zurna.jpg) 1. The appreciation from the state officials was most clearly expressed by the nomination of honorary citizenship of Colombia by the President in 1967, with the conferment of a special medal. Authoritative musicologist Francisco Alexandre noted: Conductor Olav Roots is a perfect musician, competent in all spheres of his art with artistic erudition. Really, I do not know, what makes me admire him more: his sensitive artistic nerve, picturesque musical cognition, plasticity of interpretation, refined ability to find perfect harmony between musical dynamics and statistics; or a quality which is quite natural to the conductors of his rank: thorough and very detailed knowledge of the music performed, as he is conducting the main classical repertoire by heart. 1 Thanks to Roots, Estonian music became known in Latin America: in 1955, the
