INKA ISESEISEV TÖÖ – Me and the environment

It is very important to keep the environment clean. Many people don’ t think what wrong behavior does with the envoronment. Very much people throw their garbage into th environment. Why people throw so many things into the environment whent there is so much garbage bins everywhere , many collecting points.
I don’ t throw my garbage to outside , i put it in the garbage bin. I will try to sort my garbage.
But there’s also things why I am forced to ruin nature . I really don ’t wanna do that but I can’t change it anyhow. I’m forced to do it because in that department whe I live , here is no drainpipe. Because of that we have to throw all our used water to the nature. Everything what we do, what needs to waste water, that’s goes all to the nature . It’ sad because of that we don’t have that drainpipe, our life is so complicated . It takes a lot of time. I think that is the only thing how I pollute the nature.

Presentation about enviroment Good afternoon everyone. First, let me introduce myself. My name is Valter and I am a student of Tallinn University of Technology. I'd like to talk about environment, its pollution and protecting. I shall only take 3 minutes of your time. Let me begin with the word enviroment and what it means! It means surroundings in which people, animals and plants exist. These are the things that we need, to be alive, but they are also many man-made things and technical progresses that harm the nature. Therefore we can´t live on this planet without basic components which are needed for human existence - air, water and soil.

Water

Water Imagine, it is a hot summer’s day, you are walking down the street, the sun is burning your skin, you have been walking quite a while now and suddenly, you feel you are thirsty. So what would you do …. Probably you go to the nearest store down the street and buy a bottle of water; a bubbly water, a vitamin water, a water from the fridge, there is so many variety of waters and still you have something to complain about how the water is to expensive how the day is too hot, how the water is too cold . And now imagine… imagine the people, who live in African deserts, imagine feeling thirsty and not having any water at all, not around you, not anywhere. People who live there they have to make long journeys or treks over rough and barren land to get water and when they finally reach to that hole in the ground, then that water there isn’t even clean. It takes so much time and energy, just to get a glass water or in the Africans ca

ENVIRONMENTAL PROBLEMS

ENVIRONMENTAL PROBLEMS Our environment is constantly changing. However, as our environment changes, so does the need to become increasingly aware of the problems that surround it. With a massive influx of natural disasters people need to be aware of what types of environmental problems our planet is facing. Current environmental problems make us vulnerable to disasters and tragedies, now and in the future. Unless we address the various issues seriously we are surely doomed for disaster. Current environmental problems require urgent attention. 1

How to save fresh water

How to save fresh water?

A few simple changes can help a lot. First of all, it is really important to keep our lakes clean, because nature is the premier source of fresh water. So people should stop dropping garbage into the lakes or near them. And walking pets near the lakes is also not such a good idea. It's not very nice to find some animal's body wastes while going to swim. Secondly, think about how much water you use. A few simple steps could save your money and help protect the environment. For example you should prefer shower to bath or you should turn the water off while brushing your teeth. Finally, people who work in agriculture, should start collecting rainwater to water their fields and gardens. It's much cheaper and naturefriendly. So don't just sit there! We can all do our bit from keeping our lakes clean to collecting rainwater. If everybody does a little bit, then perhaps together we can make a difference.

Kodutöö 1 17.09 1. What is site-specificity and Genius Loci (spirit of place)? Site-specificity is an abstract understanding of place/site what is used to manifest “best” qualities of it. Usually this term is used when nature, vocation and all spheres what around the place are analyzed and object (art object, building or installation) fits perfect in this place. Object needs to be in harmony (balanced) with the environment. Site-specificity is place character or atmosphere what human can feel but can’t scientifically measured. As I understood site-specificity is all what surrounds it: nature as greenery, nature as weather (climate), traditions of humans, history of the place, etc. Genius Loci is the spirit of place. How I understood Genius Loci is the idea that every a human has his own place in this world and every human needs to identify himself.

cease to function properly if it has not taken into account its external climate, the ways in which it is being influenced by the larger society of which it is a part, and the other environmentally impacting systems within it. This is the role of vision. If a school is not aware nor has an understanding of the social forces impacting change, such as the political climate, economic conditions, demographic changes, and the social environment, it can quickly become a historical and social anachronism. The following graphic lays out the process for effecting change. Once these four questions are answered than appropriate training, giving people the right knowledge and skills to implement programs can be undertaken. The process for developing a Vision Statement and Values Statement differs from the one used for a Mission Statement. Developing the Vision Statement is the responsibility of the
