Report The aim of this report is to compare Estonian and British students opinion on educational system. We wrote down our opinion on the 6th of september 2012 in our english class. We had 12 students who gave an opinion about the Estonian educational system. Corporal punishment is illegal in British and Estonian schools. 62% of British childrens think that it would be needful but only 31% Estonian childrens have the same opinion. Actually it could be not banned, because if they used controlled corporal punishment it is not likely to be harmful. I would argue that there were actually fewer discipline problems back in the old days when corporal punishment was more common. Most school in England require children to wear school uniform. The result surprised me because it showed that British kids and Estonian kids think very differently. THE SCHOOL UNIFORM Surprisingly, 17% of the questioned Estonian students approved the school uniform, for me it was surprising that so many approved the school uniform. Predictably, 74% of the questioned British students approved school uniform, which was expected, because school uniforms are more wide-spread in British schools than in Estonian schools. CORPORAL PUNISHMENT ISSUE That topic also, surprised. All of questioned Estonian students disapproved the use of corporal punishment. 62% of the questioned British students agreed to corporal punishment. The results were one end to another. That shows clearly, how different the education systems of Estonia and the United Kingdom are. CONCLUSION This reports shows us, how different the educational systems of Estonia and Britain really are

Truancy in school is a very serious problem nowadays. Unfortunately many students have lost their motivation to study. According to the BBC 400,000 children were persistently absent from England's schools in the past year and missed about one month of school each. Education Education is so multifaceted that it is difficult for me to know where to begin discussing it, or how to prioritize the many factors. Relaying my own experience is easy: I had a standard classroom approach, supplemented by inordinate reading. In only the briefest and least memorable instances did I receive any individual tutoring. Education is commonly thought of as the job of schools. Adults cry "educate our children!" Everyone has opinions about the best way to do the job. It is of urgent importance, and all the numerous factors are much studied, debated, and new (or old) ideas continually tested or retested. Some people say "it's as simple as . . . " and then name their pet peeve or passion. My view is not of an education specialist, but of one who loves sharing what I learn, and owes much to educators. But it is against the rules at school, because it is school duty to go orderly in lessons, listen to the lessons subjects and to do my homework. Along with school rules goes offcourse listening to the teachers talk too. Students are obliged to listen to the teachers talk correctly with attention in lesson. To say something against teacher's words is verboten at school. Same way is verboten to say them badly or abuse them, because to this may follow a punishment. Under the punishment belongs at school a comment, reproof or written explanation about the behaviour. I have got comments mostly from one teacher. It was exactly my ninth manual labour teacher from my last school, who did not liked my creativity. Because of that arised us often arguments frequently they ended with comment. Rarely our arguments took me and Teacher to the deputy head teacher. There solved between me and her all problems. But I am not an only student
